    I have an asp.net page which is returning a list of object as a json string to an ajax request. The string is as follows : [ {"Name":"Don","Age":23,"Description":"Tall man with no glasses"} ,{"Name":"Charlie","Age":24,"Description":"Short man with glasses"} ] I want to access each field individually, like the name of the person, his age, his description etc. How can I do that? I am using JQuery for client-side scripting.

    Hi All. We use jalopy to format our code to the sun standard (well 99%). I have 1 issue with it. It keeps moving comments to the right of the line. The above route will match the following though: domain.com/layout/1-slug or domain.com/layout/1-slug_permalink Seems like the hyphen that separates the ID from the Slug is causing issues.

  • JScrollPane Scrolls Down with Long Text in JEditorPane

    Hello, I want to have a JEditorPane inside a JScrollPane. When the user clicks a button, the click listener will create a textEditor, call jscrollpane.setViewPort(textEditor), call textEditor.setText(String) to fill it with editable text, and call jscrollpane.getVerticalScrollBar().setValue(0). In case you're wondering, yes, the setText() must come after the setViewPort() for reasons that aren't on topic. Here is the problem: After the user clicks the button, the JScrollPane's view scrolls all the way to the bottom. I want the scrollbar to be at the top, as per the last line in my click listener. I popped open a debugger, and to my horror, discovered that the jscrollpane's viewport is being forced down to the bottom after the conclusion of the click listener (when pumping filters). It appears that Swing is delaying the population of the editor/jscrollpane until after the conclusion of the clicklistener, but is calling the scrollbar command first. Thus, the undesired behavior. Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a clean solution. It seems that wanting a scrollpane to be scrolled to the top after modification would be a reasonably common requirement, so I'm assuming this is a well-solved problem. Thanks!

    I am trying to create a simple animation which includes face of a famous character. For example Santa Clause. The face and the lips of the character will act according to the given input message. For example if a string is inputed then the lips of the character will be opened and closed till the end of the string while the given input message is vocalized using a text to speech converter. Moreover if the " :) " is used the character in the animation will smile. How could I do this? I was told that I can create this type of animations using "smill".     I've got an issue when using the Google Visualization api line chart with Jquery ui tabs. I've got two graphs on two tabs. The first graph, which is visible by default displays fine: the second chart on the hidden tab seems to be messing up the key: I've tried changing the options but nothing I do seems to make any difference.     Hi All I have a C# console application written using Visual Studio 2008. My system culture is en-GB. I have a Linq query that looks like this: var myDate = "19-May-2010"; var cus = from x in _dataContext.testTable where x.CreateDate == Convert.ToDateTime(myDate) select x; The resulting SQL query generates and error because it returns the dates as "19/05/2010" which it interprets as an incorrect date. For some reason even though my system culture is set to en-GB it looks like it's trying to intrepret it as a en-US date. Any ideas how I get around this? Thanks. Alan T

  • Can't parse a 1904 date in ARPA format (email date)

    I'm processing an IMAP mailbox and running into trouble parsing the dates using the mxDateTime package. In particular, early dates like "Fri, 1 Jan 1904 00:43:25 -0400" is causing trouble: >>> import mx.DateTime >>> import mx.DateTime.ARPA >>> mx.DateTime.ARPA.ParseDateTimeUTC("Fri, 1 Jan 1904 00:43:25 -0400").gmtoffset() Traceback (most recent call last): File "<interactive input>", line 1, in <module> Error: cannot convert value to a time value >>> mx.DateTime.ARPA.ParseDateTimeUTC("Thu, 1 Jan 2009 00:43:25 -0400").gmtoffset() <mx.DateTime.DateTimeDelta object for '-08:00:00.00' at 1497b60> >>> Note that an almost identical date from 2009 works fine. I can't find any description of date limitations in mxDateTime itself. Any ideas why this might be? Thx, Ramon

  • Format boolean column in MVCContrib grid

    HI, I am using the MVCContrib grid and I would like to display images depending on the values of a column, e.g.: if the column's value is null display the image "<img src="true.gif">" otherwise display the image "<img src="false.gif"> Furthermore I would also need (this should be the same approeach I think) to display different actions depending on the column's/rows' value ...
