  • API numbers don't match on compiled PHP extension

    I'm trying to get GD into my PHP. I recently installed PHP5.3.0 on my system running Mac Leopard using mac ports. It did not come with the gd module. So I downloaded gd, compiled it as an extension module as per http://www.kenior.ch/macintosh/adding-gd-library-for-mac-os-x-leopard, made php.ini point to it, restarted apache etc. But no GD. So in apache error log it says PHP Warning: PHP Startup: gd: Unable to initialize module\nModule compiled with module API=20060613\nPHP compiled with module API=20090115\nThese options need to match\n in Unknown on line 0 So a bit of googling says I should not use the phpize I have before configuring and making these. I should use a new one called phpize5. I surely don't have any such thing. Unless its packed up inside something else in my php5.3. distro. Where do you get it. In Ubuntu I could just run sudo apt-get install php-dev, (apparently) and it would just appear by magic. At least that's what the webpage said. Unfortunately I am running MacOSX version Leopard. How can I build this GD module on Leopard so that it will match the API number in my PHP?

    Does anyone have some tips on compiling PHP's intl extension on PHP? I'm getting compile errors each way I try it and I've been googling for ages and getting nowhere. Any help greatly appreciated. It sounded like a Multiviews problem to me so I disabled Multiviews and it is still going on. ***And then a different rule will eventually take the index.php out, I am having another problem with an extra '/' being left behind when this happens.   • Reconfiguring PHP with OpenSSL Extension on CentOS

    Hi Guys - Long time browser, first time poster! I have a CentOS Dedicated server running just fine. I'm trying to reconfigure PHP to include the OpenSSL extensions so I can use some of the Youtube API's. I installed OpenSSL with yum, so it's in place on the server. I'm just now having trouble getting PHP to use it as an extension. I got the latest PHP tarball, untarred, set my configure string (./configure) using the proper parameter for openssl (--with-openssl=/usr) and it checked out just fine. I ran Make, then Make Install. I am getting hung up here. After it makes the PEAR config file it seems to quit. I guess I'm not sure, but it seems like there is a LOT more that should be happening.     I have a internal website hosted on IIS. I added the following meta code and also add http-header that the page should in IE8 Browser mode and document mode. <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8" > We tested it on Visual Studio and and it works very well. However, after we publish the code to another IIS server, one developer reported that the page render in "IE8 Comatiblity" Browser Mode which causes some JavaScript to fail. There are more then 4 people working on the same windows server 2003 (RDP sessions). We use the same version of IE (same IE actually). Everyone get "IE8" Browser Mode but one person gets "IE8 Compatibility" Browser Mode. What else can make a specific user's IE load the page in a mode other than IE8 mode? PS. We checked the compatibility list in the IE; it is empty.

    hello, i'm creating a flex application and trying to debug using the "Network Monitor" view. The script i'm debugging fetches a PHP session variable (the PHP outputs xml) and the actionscript retrieves the value from the HTTPService event. if I am using say a chrome browser, i can correctly retrieve the session variable ANY TIME. if I switch to say a firefox browser, then clearly the chrome session variable is unavailable to firefox. My issue is that I create the session variable with say chrome, and then try to retrieve my session variable from my FLEX application debugger (which always returns null) -when I really want it to return my session variable. is there a way for my flex debugger to retrieve this session variable set by chrome (or any browser)? (I'm even using chrome as my debugging browser for flex)

  • How can I open VLC via browser with PHP (Mac OS X)

    I'm trying to open VLC via browser and make it instantly play the given video file on Mac OS X. This runs on my local server and is only meant to run locally - therefore I already run apache (MAMP) with my username and with group "staff" (defined in httpd.conf). YES - I do know that VLC has http interface - however that is not what I need, so do not suggest that... My current system works without any problems when I run it via Terminal: php /var/www/Movies/index.php - This leads to VLC opening and video starts playing fullscreen like intented. Problems start when I run the same PHP-page with browser. Then the VLC-process starts, but there's no GUI for it, video file won't start playing and the VLC-process takes nearly 100% of CPU. Both; terminal and browser started VLC-processes run with the same user (mine) Both have "Parent process" bash VLC-process begun with Terminal has empty "Process group" (only process id-number) and browser started has "httpd" + (id-number) VLC-process started via browser makes 1000-times more "Mach System Calls" than it's Terminal-started counterpart.   • Browser freeze while ajax call in action

    I have a ASP.NET Web App. I notice that while a simple ajax call(see below) is in process, web application does not respond to any action that I try on a different browser. $.ajax({ type: "GET", async: true, url: "someurl", dataType: "text", cache: false, success: function(msg){ CheckResponse(msg); } }); This happens when I open two firefox or two IE. I run the function that does the ajax call on first browser and till the response of the ajax is returned, I cannot do anything on the second browser on the same site. No breakpoints are hit on the server from the second browser till initial ajax is completed. It hangs for any click etc.. The hang on the second browser ends immediately after the ajax call is completed on the first one. This behavior is not observed if I try the same on IE and Firefox side by side. Only happen with IE & IE or FF & FF side by side Appreciate if you can help me see what I am missing here.

But Chrome includes the browser frame dimensions when sizing the popup, which means that the body element is less than the required size.... i.e. if the browser titlebar is 10px high, then this is subtracted from the space allocated to the body element How do I tell Chrome, that I want the body element to be 320 by 300, and that I dont want it to subtract the width and height of the browser frame from body element dimensions It's a bit like the old box-model problem where FF and IE added padding in different ways except firefox adds the browser frame outside the desired 320x300 size, and Chrome is adding it inside

  • Why Does DreamWeaver CS5 Discriminate between File Extensions, Even After Modding Mime Types!?

    Hi folks, Even After I forced DreamWeaver CS5 to allow opening of .ast extensions as a MIME type of php5, which DreamWeaver now opens and colors correctly as described here, I still have trouble figuring out why it still discriminates between the two file extensions! Symptoms: External Files & Design View I have a file foo.php which php includes other files (e.g. the php-combined css.php and js.php). Now, when opening foo.php all functions work perfectly: the external (included) php files are all recognised correctly. However, when I change foo.php foo.ast, and open it again, It does not recognise the files extensions anymore in the top bar. Also, I lose the Design / Live View functionality.** When I change foo.ast to foo.php, all works again! Anyone any clues of why there remains a a difference between one and other extension? Note1: I have added the .ast extension to these four files, next to .php: 1 C:\Users\Sam\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\configuration\DocumentTypes\MMDocumentTypes.xml 2 C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\configuration\DocumentTypes\MMDocumentTypes.xml 3 C:\Users\Sam\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configuration\Extensions.txt 4 C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\configuration\Extensions.txt Note2: sometimes, even .php files do not want to show in design view or live view.   • .htaccess - proxy AND browser caching???

    In .htaccess, how do I specify a file type to be cached via browser and proxy? Cache-control for needs to be "private" for browser, "public" for proxy. However, I can't define Cache-Control to be private AND public for same file type. It seems like I have to choose between browser or proxy caching. Suggestions?
