  • ASP.NET - Trailing Slash and Tilde

    I've found what seems like a bizarre problem with IIS 6.0 and .NET 3.5. I always use the tilde for all URLs (eg: ~/mypage.aspx) so if I go to mydomain.com/mypage.aspx, everything works fine. If, however, I add a trailing slash and go to mydomain.com/mypage.aspx/, all links on the page which use the tilde get rendered as mydomain.com/mypage.aspx/otherpage.aspx instead of mydomain.com/otherpage.aspx. This happens with all controls. Has anyone had this issue before?

  • Best Version control for lone developer

    I'm a lone developer at the moment; please share you experiences on what is a good VC setup for a lone developer. My constraints are; I work on multiple machines and need to keep them synced up Sometimes I work offline I'm currently using Subversion(just the client to a remote server), and that is working ok. I'm interested in mecurial and git DVCS, but none of their use-cases make sense to my situation. EDIT: I've migrated my active development to Fossil http://www.fossil-scm.org/ after trialing it with a client. I really like the features to autosync my repositories(reducing accidental forks), the documentation support(both wiki and embedded/versioned) that supports my need to document the code and the project in different spaces, the easy to configure issue tracker, nice access control, skinnable web interface and helpful community.

I have two divs. Each has this text '1 2' with white-space. The only difference is that one is injected dynamically and one is in the html itself. If you open the above page in IE7, the text in div test2 doesn't respect white space. How can i get the same behavior for the text that is dynamically injected?? P.S. My doctype is triggering standards mode on IE7.

  • App dies on startup but not crash report

    I've given an ad hoc version of my app to some users. Two of them have the app die on start up while one user has no issues. I can also install the ad hoc without issue...but that is always the case for me. One user sent the info below from the Xcode Organizer Console. They didn't find any crash logs. I don't know what to make of the info below. The one thing that stands out is "Permission denied". I place the provisioning and myapp.app files in a dropbox folder. The user then retrieves the files from the same location. I've run codesign against the .app file in the dropbox and get valid output: codesign -vvvv myapp.app myapp.app: valid on disk myapp.app: satisfies its Designated Requirement Any one have some ideas how I can figure out why the app doesn't work for this user? Here is the Console output from one user.   • Jquery 3d image carousel - IE6 transparency

    I'm using the 3d image carousel available at http://www.professorcloud.com/mainsite/carousel.htm . It's great but I've hit a wall with regards to transparency support for IE6. As the images are being manipulated by java after they are loaded, it's quite a headache. All the mainstream png fixes fail in one way or another...either breaking the carousel or being broken by the animation of the carousel. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get round this (without using PNG8, .gif etc).

    Hi All, I'm using code based on Apple's "Scrolling" sample code - here's where I have a problem: // load all the images from our bundle and add them to the scroll view NSUInteger i; for (i = 1; i <= jNumImages; i++) { NSString *imageName = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"page%d.png", i]; UIImage *image = [UIImage imageNamed:imageName]; UIImageView *imageView2 = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:image]; The UIImageView causes a leak - it doesn't seem to be releasing (though I do state [imageView2 release]; after adding the imageView as a subView to scrollView2 I have say 15 chapters of a book each held in a nav bar, each containing a scroll view with one chapters worth of these image views (each image is a page). When I get to around the second last chapter the app crashes due to the memory leaks... really annoying! I think it might be because imageView's been alloc'd twice (in alloc and in addSubView) but i'm not sure.... tried releasing twice but it didn't seem to help. any pointers? Thanks in advance ^.^

    Hi I am using Crystal Reports 10 with IIS Server. I wish to display some of the reports in Portuguese language. How can I configure Crystal Reports to display data in Portuguese ? I guess I will need to download a language pack for this but will it allow word-by-word conversion from English to Portuguese ? Grammatically correct sentences are not currently my concern. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

  • IE Cannot open the internet site (no JS on the page)

    I know that there are many posts about this on Stackoverflow, but this one is different. All of the other fixes to this have to do with javascript, but I don't even have javascript on my page. None. And I am still getting this error. Was there any other reasons why this error was being caused? Also, it only happens when I visit my top navigation links, rather than the page directly from the url. Take a look at: http://www.mayandivers.com/see EDIT: This is happening in IE6/7.

  • jquery sortable problem with ie

    i am using jquery to sort my lists and i have run into a dead end. First, I checked the jquery site if theirs work on ie7, thats great, it does. next, i checked mine without the styles(so there possibly wont be anything that's intercepting or affecting jquery stuff). but i still get this weird error in ie7 when you sort items in the inner list(i have nested lists) they overlap each other, destroying the layout. if you sort the contianer lists, they work fine! here's a jsfiddle of what i mean: http://jsfiddle.net/GDUpa/ note that if you drag demonstration one or two spots(in ie), it will overlap with the other links. BUT if you drag POC (it will select the whole thing including the links under it), it works fine! is something wrong with my markup?

  • grailsui plugin for accordion not working

    Hi! I have been trying to figure out what's wrong with grailsui accordion. I have checked out the sample source files (http://guidemo.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/) from different ui tags, like menu, datatable and etc. they are working fine but the accordion is not working properly. All i can see is all of the divs shown. the panels are not moving since they are already shown. I've also followed the screencast for it. I've used the yui-skin-sam class name and I've downloaded the grails plugins.grails-ui=1.2-SNAPSHOT. I am not sure what's wrong.I used the rich-ui plugin and it is working great. But there are still features that are not in rich-ui compared to the possible configurations for the grails-ui tags. Anyway. if you have any suggestions to what js library I may use for a grails application or if you have a working grails-ui accordion sample, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Hope you can help me since I am still new to Grails.

  • jQuery: 'async: false' Not Working With IE7 / IE6

    I created a simple tracking script which adds the users info to a database when the page is unloaded. It works on all browsers except IE7 and IE6. IE7 gives me errors, but I can't open the "debugger" because I'm using the standalone version (or at least that's what I think the problems is). I removed the async: false, from the script below and I didn't get any errors, but I need async set to false in order for the script to work. Any ideas? $(window).unload(function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", async: false, url: "add.php", data: "ip=" + jIp + "&date=" + jDate + "&time=" + jTime, }); }); Update: I got IE7 to display the error, kinda. When I click OK on the dialog on top, it closes both dialogs. Ugh!

  • Really new to XCode. Why won't the thing run?

    Hi, I'm trying to follow the April 2009 and Winter 2010 Stanford iPhone app development videos and I'm running up against the same problems with both. First, they don't appear to be using the latest version of XCode - the Outlets and Actions panels are in a different window and there is little info on the net about this (other than one other post on S.O.F.) Second, having got to the point where I've managed to connect the slider, label and changedLabelText connections, I save, build and run the app - the simulator loads, the app loads and then promptly closes again. What's going on? I have not written any code yet and I still have an app which, while it compiles, does not behave! Is there a better starting point for an XCode noob than the Stanford vids?     In the bottom cap of this page (bottom with corners) I seem to be having a weird IE6 issue. I've tried Google with no luck, as really, how do you ask this question.     Im using position absolute to give the top left corner of a DIV a rounded corner. HTML: <div id="MyDiv"> Some content <div class="topLeft">&nbsp</div> </div> CSS: #MyDiv { position: relative; padding: 12px; background: #fff url('graident.png') repeat-x top left; } .topLeft { position: absolute; top: 0; right: 0; width: 10px; height: 10px; background: transparent url('corner.png') no-repeat top right; } This works fine in all browsers expcept IE6. In IE6 the corner.png image seems to be about 1px out at the top corner, essentially not top: 0; and right: 0; but more like top: 1px; right: 1px; Can anyone explain why this might be happening only in IE6?
