  • What is causing ocassional white windows on my Mac?

    Hello. I'm having a very strange problem with my Mac lately. When I'm working in an app and a new window pane or sheet is displayed, sometimes it comes up completely white. Once an app is having these problems, it will continue to bring up a blank screen for that particular window (although other windows work fine). After the app is relaunched, the window is fine again. What I'm noticing that's very strange is that although the interface turns completely white, the functions of the interface are still available. So I have to "navigate blindly" around the interface, until I can relaunch. This occurs throughout the operating system. Screenshots: This is what happened when I tried opening the File menu in Lightroom app. What happened to me on Lynda.com (in Firefox) after selecting the "Software..." dropdown. (All other dropdowns were fine. Reloading the page fixed it.) When I was decompressing a file, The Unarchiver launched and opened this white window. It still decompressed the file. This is what happened one time when I opened Finder (with TotalFinder) to my Downloads folder. This is something I've never seen before. This just started happening lately. What could be the problem? Thanks for your help. NOTE: since new users are not allowed to post images, just image blank white interface elements.     For Visual Studio 2010 Web based application we have Config Transformation features by which we can maintain multiple configuration files for different environments. But the same feature is not available for App.Config files for Windows Services/WinForms or Console Application. There is a workaround available as suggested on the following link. http://vishaljoshi.blogspot.com/2010/05/applying-xdt-magic-to-appconfig.html However it is not straightforward and requires no of steps. Is there an easier way to achieve the same for App.Config files?

    Anyone know how I can use httponly cookies for sessions and cookies on the app engine? In the javadoc for the Cookie class, http://java.sun.com/javaee/6/docs/api/javax/servlet/http/Cookie.html#setHttpOnly(boolean) , there is a setHttpOnly method. I get a compiler error when trying to use it when developing for app engine though. The method was introduced in the Servlet 3.0 spec, so its pretty new.

The answerer said: "However if you intend to use it w/ App Engine keep in my mind that using Google IP will almost surely result w/ Captcha challenge. Also Yahoo might block your User-Agent that is being set permanently by Google." I don't understand what "w/" means in "w/ App Engine" and in "w/ Captcha challenge"

  • Bounced email on Google App Engine

    I'm developing application for google app engine (python), witch needs not only to send emails, but also know which ones bounce back. I created special account for my domain [email protected], added it as an app admin and sending messages from it. The problem is (and it was described here http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=1800) - GAE sets the Return-Path to some internal email address, not allowing to receive bounced email messages. Anyone aware of any possible workaround for this? Thanks.

In the form user can change the settings values, after making changes the user can press the Save button and on this I want to save all the values back to the app.config file.     Hi folks, With all the RDF et al around King Jobs' newest glass beermat, I'm getting the feeling that its a good time to add the 'iphone/ipad developer' string to my bow. One problem (two if you count not being in a financial position to slap down $1000+ for a mac) ; I am a PC head, specifically a Linux-head, and have no regular access to a Mac platform to develop on. I cannot see any way of getting my hands on iSDK without being on a Mac, (but have been known to be wrong) How hopeless is my plight and where can I go from here?

    I'm just getting started on building a Python app for Google App Engine. In the localhost environment I'm trying to send debug info to the GoogleAppEngineLauncher Log Console via logging.debug(), but it isn't showing up. However, anything sent through, say, logging.info() or logging.error() does show up. I've tried a logging.basicConfig(level=logging.DEBUG) before the logging.debug(), but to no avail. What am I missing?

    I'm using Django with google app engine. I'm using the google furnished django app engine helper project. I'm attempting to create a Django modelformset like this: #MyModel inherits from BaseModel MyFormSet = modelformset_factory(models.MyModel) However, it's failing with this error: 'ModelOptions' object has no attribute 'fields' Apparently modelformset_factory() is expecting MyModel to implement a 'fields' accessor. Anybody successfully used a modelformset with GAE datastore? Or is this a fundamental incompatibility between Django and GAE?

  • Access the path to the app.config programmatically

    I am looking for a way to programmatically obtain the path to the app.config file from within a Windows Service executable. The build process changes App.config to program-name.exe.config and I could do something like: var configFile = Path.Combine(AppDomain.CurrentDomain.BaseDirectory, "program-name.exe.config"); However, I'm looking for some way of obtaining the config file name at runtime that doesn't involve hard coding the exe name into the application. ConfigurationManager has some way of doing it, so it must be possible.
