  • Missing IUSR account on Windows Server 2008 R2 / IIS7.5

    Ok, I'm stumped. I've been given the job of installing PHP5.4 on this machine. One of the manual installation steps is to configure the IUSR account to have specific permissions. The problem is, I see the IIS_IUSRS group, but no IUSR account. The only users listed are the Admin user, a Guest account, and a user for the security software. I'm not really the Windows server type, more of a *NIX guy - so this is getting a little frustrating. I've searched everywhere and haven't found a suitable answer, but I have learned a lot about IIS7.5 - so it hasn't been a total waste of time. I've tried several recommendations and found several similar problems, but nothing has worked so far. I've also just tried making the IUSR account myself, but to no avail. If anyone knows how to get this going, I will be ever so grateful.

  • Font Setting in VS2010 - missing FixedSys

    After installing VS2010 yesterday - (both VS2005 and VS2010 installed), I can't find the "FixedSys" style font from the Fonts and Colors - Font (pull down list). I can still use the font in VS2005. [update] I just searched "C:\WINDOWS\Fonts", there is no Fixedsys style in the folder. Any suggestions on how to make FixedSys available as a choice in Visual Studio 2010?

    I am trying to add an "KeyPress" event in a textbox (WinForm) this.textBox1.KeyPress += new System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventHandler(CheckKeys); and here's inside the 'CheckKeys': private void CheckKeys(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyPressEventArgs e) { if (e.KeyChar == (char)13) { // Enter is pressed - do something } } The idea here is that once a textbox is in focus and the 'Enter' button was pressed, something will happen... However, my machine cannot find the 'KeyPress' event. Is there something wrong with my codes?   • Excel get_Range missing when interop assembly is embedded in .NET 4.0

    I build an assembly referencing a COM interop DLL. If I embed the COM interop types by setting Embed Interop Types to True in the Reference's properties (VS2010), at run-time an error occurs "object does not contain a definition for get_Range". If COM interop types are not embedded then no error occurs. Does anyone know why a particular method, Worksheet.get_Range should be ommitted or how to work around this or have any other relevant insights? I should be grateful for any help. The interop dll contains a reference to Worksheet.get_Range(object, [object]). Using reflector on my calling assembly there is no mention of get_Range under Worksheet. The interop assembly I am embedding is generated from Excel9.olb. I am not using PIAs as the application targets multiple Excel versions.

    Hello, In Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2, in a Setup project, in Prerequisites, there's no option to include the .NET Framework 3.0 prerequisite. How do I change things so that it is an available option? My goal is to create an .msi installer that is launched by a Setup.exe. The Setup.exe should install .NET 3.0 if it's not there. The application that I'm installing uses .NET 3.0 Note: I've tried clicking the "Check Microsoft Update for more redistributable components", but .NET 3.0 wasn't there. Thanks! Adam

    I am having a problem setting the background of UITableView to a UIImageView (see below for why I am doing this), once the view is set, it works fine, and scrolls with the UITableView, but it hides the elements of the Table View. I need to have a UIImageView as the background for a UITableView. SomeClass someClass = (SomeClass)ser.ReadObject(reader, true); So when I check "someClass", FirstName will have the value john, But the LastName will be null. Mystery is how can i get some of the data and not all of the data for the class. So DataContractSerializer is not pulling up all the data from xml when deserializing. Am i doing something wrong.     I have got a WCF Data Service based on a LINQ to SQL data provider. I am making a query "get me all the records between two dates". The problem is that I want to synthesize two extra records such that I always get records that fall on the start and end dates, plus all the ones in between which come from the database. Is there a way to "intercept" the request so I can synthesize these records and return them to the client? Thanks

  • Do I need to use any other attributes other than CssClassProperty to enabled design-time support?

    Hi, I'm trying to provide the same design-time support that the CssClass provides on some custom properties of a server control. The documentation suggests that decorating the property with the CssClassProperty is all that's required. [CssClassProperty] public string SomeOtherCssClass{get;set;} This has no effect, in vs2008 or vs2010. I've looked at the WebControl class using reflector and implemented all the attributes, and every combination thereof, to my property and still no class dropdown. Some blog posts suggest that the use of the Editor attribute but a) there's not mention of it in the documentation and b) none of editors which are remotely related to css classes have any effect either. Am I missing something to enable this feature? Thanks in advance, Keith.

    I have a ruby gem that I developed with ruby 1.9, and it works. With ruby 1.8, though, it says this when I try to run it: dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _RBIGNUM_SIGN Referenced from: /Users/Adrian/Desktop/num_to_bytes/ext/num_to_bytes/num_to_bytes.bundle Expected in: flat namespace dyld: Symbol not found: _RBIGNUM_SIGN Referenced from: /Users/Adrian/Desktop/num_to_bytes/ext/num_to_bytes/num_to_bytes.bundle Expected in: flat namespace Trace/BPT trap If I comment out the line that uses RBIGNUM_SIGN, it complains about other functions like rb_big_modulo. Some things work, like NUM2LONG. Here are some things I have tried: In http://github.com/ruby/ruby/blob/ruby_1_8_7/ruby.h, RBIGNUM_SIGN is defined. But in all versions of ruby I have tried, it is not there. I guessed that maybe it was defined in a different .h file. Knowing that Hpricot works with 1.8, I looked at http://github.com/hpricot/hpricot/blob/master/ext/hpricot_scan/hpricot_scan.h. It doesn't include any other files that #define it. Putting things like extern VALUE rb_big_modulo(VALUE x); at the beginning of my extension don't help. Using a brand new Ubuntu installation, I apt-getted ruby, tried to install the gem, and it didn't work either. Putting have_library 'ruby', 'rb_big_modulo' in my extconf.rb didn't work. As you can probably see, I am getting desperate (after weeks of trying things!). So, how can I get this to work?   • Downloaded StructureMap but seems to be missing the Log4Net.Dll

    I am currently following instructions in a book to develop an application. It asks me to download StructureMap and then move the StructureMap.Dll file and the Log4Net.dll into the bin files. The problem is there doesnt seem to be a Log4Net.dll file in the StructureMap files, the only other dll apart from the StructureMap.dll is the Rhino.Mock.dll. can anyone help? Thanks Rachel

    Hello. I have a WPF dialog with a couple of textboxes on it. Textboxes are bound to my business object and have WPF validation rules attached. The problem is that user can perfectly click 'OK' button and close the dialog, without actually entering the data into textboxes. Validation rules never fire, since user didn't even attempt entering the information into textboxes. Is it possible to force validation checks and determine if some validation rules are broken? I would be able to do it when user tries to close the dialog and prohibit him from doing it if any validation rules are broken. Thank you.

I can make the command fire by setting my ViewModel as a Resource and then binding to it as a StaticResource, but I want to know why the element to element binding won't work in this scenario. I would prefer not to use the StaticResource binding because that requires the default constructor on the ViewModel and so I can't inject my data easily.

  • Embedded ZXing - what am I missing?

    Hi all, Sorry if this has been answered before, but I am trying to make an application that will include the ability to scan barcodes on Android. I'm looking at using ZXing as the library, however, I want to embed the scanner in my application so that the user doesn't have to have the ZXing barcode scanner installed to use my application. From the description of ZXing, it sounds like this is possible. I've gotten as far as building ZXing, linking it into my project in Eclipse, then creating a new reader instance. However, I'm lost when it comes to starting the barcode reader and implementing the callbacks. IMO, this is when the documentation here gets hazy. If someone could explain how to use ZXing properly, that would be of great help. Cheers!

  • Node.js appears to be missing the multipart module

    I am trying to parse form data, including upload files with a node.js http server. All of the tutorial type articles I have found use a require("multipart"); to include the multipart module, but when I try the same I get: Error: Cannot find module 'multipart' I also can't find it in the current api docs (though it is in the google cached version). So, has this module been removed from the standard installation or is there something else that does the job?

  • Trying to Create an Enterprise Provisioning Profile--Distribution Tab is Missing

    I'm attempting to create an Enterprise Provisioning Profile, but the program portal isn't working the way I expect it to (based on the documentation). Here's what I'm seeing: First, I log on as the Team Agent. Second, I navigate to the Provisioning section of the program portal. According to the documentation, I should see 4 tabs at this point: Development, Distribution, History, How To. But when I do this, the Distribution tab isn't there. And without the Distribution tab, I can't create a Enterprise Provisioning Profile (or an Ad Hoc one, for that matter). I've tried contacting Apple administrative support, but they weren't able to provide any help with this. They suggested that I try the forum. :-) Just to fill in a few more details: My company has an enterprise membership in the developer program. And when I navigate to the Certificates section, there is a Distribution tab. I figure that there must be something that I've done incorrectly. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions on what to try next?
