  I've got a simple window, that is container for various views. I've got a DataTemplate that shows the correct view based on whatever the window's MainViewModel property is set to. <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type VM:StartupViewModel}"> <AdornerDecorator> <V:StartupView /> </AdornerDecorator> </DataTemplate> What I'd like to do is for certain views, change some properties on the base window, ie WindowStyle, ResizeMode etc. something like triggers, but on datatypes instead of property values? How could I accomplish this?

• How to remove maximize button in Mac OS X tool window in Qt

  I have a floating tool window. It works fine on Windows, but I can't get rid of the maximise button on Mac OS X. I have tried unsetting Qt::WindowMaximizeButtonHint and setting the window to fixed size. Nothing seems to work.   I am interested in writing an app that overlays a small heads up display (HUD) over another application, in VB.NET. Does anyone have an example of this? I will need to enumerate all open windows to find the window that I want, and then overlay some text in a specific position on the window. If the user moves that window, my text will need to follow. (I will probably be painting the text in a loop over and over). Edit: nobody answered my original query - I added C# to the keywords to see if any of gurus in that language might have an answer. thanks.

• Open a chrome tab from delayed javascript window.open

  When I window.open("http://blarg") in chrome, I get a new tab. If I delay the open, say using a jquery $(hrm).animate({},5e3,function(){window.open(url)); it opens the url in a new window with no status bar, etc — if I give it permission to pop-up that is. I'm looking for a way to get the instant behavior, that is, I wish to open a URL after an animation, but still in a new tab. I imagine I could get by with learning a way to instruct chrome to never ever open pop-ups and to always open them in tabs (I imagine there's a webkit setting, why it's not a built in is a mystery); but I'd rather try to find a way to do it from the javascript if possible. I somewhat doubt there's any way to do this though. I'm not aware of any javascript that's tab-aware.

• Storing the HTML output from a local PHP file into a string using file_get_contents

  There is a header.php file and it contains some php codes that return HTML. I know I can use require, include to echo the results, but what I want to do is to store its processed output string into a variable. In a page, I used: $headerHTML=file_get_contents('header.php'); Then I got the PHP code output rather than the processed HTML output. I know adding http:// would help. But I prefer to keep using relative path, how can I tell the function to treat the php file correctly?

  I have a python method that has a deterministic result. It takes a long time to run and generates a large output: def time_consuming_method(): # lots_of_computing_time to come up with the_result return the_result I modify time_consuming_method from time to time, but I would like to avoid having it run again while it's unchanged. [Time_consuming_method only depends on functions that are immutable for the purposes considered here; i.e. it might have functions from Python libraries but not from other pieces of my code that I'd change.] The solution that suggests itself to me is to cache the output and also cache some "hash" of the function. If the hash changes, the function will have been modified, and we have to re-generate the output. Is this possible or a ridiculous idea? • maya "export all" window blocks my plugins script UI

  I'm writing a custom File Translator for Maya which can export only (I have only declared the writer function). Currently having a problem with the MEL script which defines the plugin's options as a GUI. Currently I have a blank Maya scene, go to "file-export all". This creates the "File Export All" dialog, I then select my plugin exporter which runs my MEL script to create the bespoke options window. This new window is created behind the "File Export All" dialog and is not selectable! Do I have to place my export plugin specific options within the export all dialog rather than placing them in a separate window? Thanks for any links, tips or pointers you can provide.

  I have been trying to find a way to capture the output (rendered view) of another action within the current action... something akin to output buffering. The scenario is that I need to save a "snapshot" of a report. The data used in the report is ever-changing, and for whatever reason I need to actually save the view HTML rather than just a data array. I have created a snapshotAction(), and I want to somehow capture the output of the separate reportAction() within it. I don't want to render the reportAction() to the screen, I want it to render within my current action, before the action completes. Is there any way to do this in ZF?

  I'm trying to output the results of a SELECT query to a tab delimited text file in Advantage Data Architect. I know I can use the 'Export to' feature to do this, but there are a lot of tables and that is going to take forever. I would rather use the SQL editor, but I found out it does not accept the OUTPUT TO argument, even though that command is part of Sybase SQL. I would like to do this: SELECT * FROM tablename; OUTPUT TO 'C:/ExportDirectory' DELIMITED BY '\t' FORMAT TEXT; Is there another way?

  In msbuild/xbuild I'd like to have a "libPath" property which can be ovveridden on the commandline using /p:libpath="/path/to/all/libs". But when this property is undefined I want to call pkg-config --retrieve-Path somePackage to get the current systems path. I thought like here I need the output of a command to be stored in a Property. The command always returns one line of output.   Hi, I have a bunch of items – for simplicity reasons – a flat table with unique names seeded via bulk insert: create table #items ( ItemName NVARCHAR(255) ) The database has this structure: create table Statements ( Id INT IDENTITY NOT NULL, Version INT not null, FurtherDetails varchar(max) null, ProposalDateTime DATETIME null, UpdateDateTime DATETIME null, ProposerFk INT null, UpdaterFk INT null, primary key (Id) ) create table Item ( StatementFk INT not null, ItemName NVARCHAR(255) null, primary key (StatementFk) ) Here Item is a child of Statement (inheritance). I would like to insert items in #items using a set based approach (avoiding triggers and loops). Can this be achieved with OUTPUT in my scenario. A ‘loop based’ approach is just too slow where I use something like this: insert into Statements (Version, FurtherDetails, ProposalDateTime, UpdateDateTime, ProposerFk, UpdaterFk) VALUES (1, null, getdate(), getdate(), @user_id, @user_id) etc. This is a start for the OUTPUT based approach – but I am not sure whether this would work in my case as ItemName is only inserted into Item: insert into Statements ( Version, FurtherDetails, ProposalDateTime, UpdateDateTime, ProposerFk, UpdaterFk ) output inserted.Id ... ??? My idea is a timer that ticks every 3 seconds and checks if the windows are opened. But how to find the 3 exact windows? Can I use a Window-Handle-Spy-Application and Hardcode the Window-Handles in my code to find them ever? Or change the window handle when the Application X is opened new?

Step 2 On click of a button in child i'm displaying the html(viewsource) of parent window in a textbox(.net) and holding in a hidden variable hdnSource too. Step 3 I've 4 checkboxes in the child window. If the checkbox is not checked, then that part of html should be removed. eg: cbxPersonal, cbxProfessional if cbxProfessional is unchecked I should remove divProfessional from html which is in hdnSource and display in the textbox Can anyone help me to do the 3rd part of coding. • Flex builder stopped generating the module swf in the output folder

  Flex Builder suddenly stopped generating the swf of the modules in the output folder, the project properties is set to build automatically and all the modules are listed under Flex Modules in the project properties. I didn't change any configuration, I was working on a project and modifying modules and the swf files in the output folder where getting updated until suddenly I noticed that any modifications in the modules where not reflected when I run the application so I checked the swf files of the modules in the output folder I found that they don't get regenerated when the module is modified. I tried restarting the flex builder but nothing changed.

  Hi, How to increase the TCP receive window for a specific socket? - I know how to do so for all the sockets by setting the registry key TcpWindowSize, but how do do that for a specific one? According to MSFT's documents, the way is Calling the Windows Sockets function setsockopt, which sets the receive window on a per-socket basis. But in setsockopt, it is mentioned about SO_RCVBUF : Specifies the total per-socket buffer space reserved for receives. This is unrelated to SO_MAX_MSG_SIZE and does not necessarily correspond to the size of the TCP receive window. So is it possible? How? Thanks.

  I'm using the qTip jQuery plugin to create dynamic tool tips. The tooltip sends an id to a cfc which runs a query and returns data in JSON format.   I need to check if the user has windows on focus, I'm currently doing this: var isonfocus=true; window.onblur = function(){ isonfocus=false; } window.onfocus = function(){ isonfocus=true; } And whenever I need to check if the user has the windows on focus I just do if(isonfocus==true). Problem: if the user loses focus before the page loads, even if I do if(isonfocus==true) it will return true, even though the window is not on focus, and defining the var to false var isonfocus=false; will do the reverse. Can someone help me? Thanks.

''; echo $output; Problem is when I try to read worked, it tells me the variable worked is not there event.result.worked myhttp.lastResult.worked The only thing that works is using toString() myhttp.lastResult.toString() or event.result.toString() What am I doing wrong? I plan to add other variables to the output time, so need to access each time and worked separately. I may also need to return multiple responses each with their own worked and time values.   I am having a real problem with this. I want to know if it is possible to run/call a javascript function in a Google Chrome web browser window from a VB.net application. The scenario is that i want to monitor the pc activity (which i know how to) and then if a certain event is met (for example, high ram usage) then it calls a JavaScript function in a Google Chrome web browser window so the website is updated. Sort of like a bridge. The only bit it need to know is the vb.net code for how to access a chrome window and invoke a javascript function if its possible. I assume i will need to use process handlers? Any help is appreciated.

• Window scrolling up when jquery dialog opens up

  I am trying to open a modal jquery dialog using jquery 1.4 and jquery-ui-1.8rc3.custom.js The dialog opens up with no issues, in all browsers, but in IE 7 and 6, after the dialog opens up, the window scrolls itself to the buttom... I tried scrolling the window up back to the modal position but is very inconsistent. was using the following line of code after opening up the modal window.scrollTo($('selector').dialog('option', 'position')[0],$('selector').dialog('option', 'position')[1]); One weird thing I am noticing is that after I open the modal, the page becomes huge... as if some extra things adds up on the bottom .... and it eventually scrolls to the bottom.
