  Hello there I have developed an application in vb.net2008 and database sqlserver. Now i want to ignore the database(it has 1 table as customer(name,password,hour,minute)) as i dont want my client to install sqlserver separately or other overheads. I am planning to do the whole using file handling in vb.net(manipulating the data in files itself eg change username, password etc). As I am new i dont actually know the proper way and of course need assistance. Kindly help out. Regards Indranil

  Is there a POSIX syscall to resolve filesystem paths? I have the CWD for a path, as well as the path to a file from that CWD. I can't use chdir to switch to the directory because I need to resolve paths from multiple threads simultaneously. I considered appending a / in between the CWD and the path, but for some reason it feels like that's hacky. Is that the proper way to resolve relative paths?

  I'm working on a regex to match valid integer numbers such as the following: 0 1 99 999 However it should not allow matching an empty string. The closest I can get is: (0)|\\d{1,3} Which to me says a matching string will have either a zero or a series of digits between 1 and 3 characters long. However, empty strings still appear to match this pattern. What's the proper way to exclude empty strings from this regex?

  I have a button in my flex app that creates a popup overtop of everything. However, it seems like flex automatically puts this transparent overlay overtop of the stage when this happens. How do I disable this? I have tried contentBackgroundAlpha="0" and backgroundAlpha="0" with no luck. anyone know what the proper syntax is for disabling this transparency? I have been searching through the docs for a 30 minutes now looking for it.

To set the actual data I use the following method: override public function set data(side:Object):void{ ... } As soon as I use this function the cell doesn't show up any item Editor anymore.   I've got a module that I'm attempting to turn into a proper OTP application. Currently, the module has start/0 which starts a genserver which supplies configuration data read from a config file. It then calls inets:start(httpd,config:lookup(httpd_conf)). I gather that I need to move the starting of these out into the .app file's (application list) but I'm not sure how to get my config data into the inets:start function (or pass in httpd)? • Why does this Grails/HQL query with a JOIN return Lists of pairs of domain classes?

  I'm having trouble figuring out how to do a "join" in Groovy/Grails and the return values I get person = User.get(user.id) def latestPhotosForUser = PhotoOwner.findAll("FROM PhotoOwner AS a, PhotoStorage AS b WHERE (a.owner=:person AND a.photo = b)", [person:person], [max:3]) latestPhotosForUser isn't a list of PhotoOwners. It's a list of [PhotoOwner, PhotoStorage] pairs. Since I'm doing a PhotoOwner.findAll, I would have expected to see only PhotoOwners. Am I doing something wrong, or is this the proper behavior?
