  i am creating a usercontrol which provides all of the common validations for a range of textbox styles: alpha, number, decimal, SSN, etc. so, when a developer using this control selects the alpha style, they can also select another property which defines a string of special characters that could also be allowed during validation. but when the decimal style, for instance, is selected, i'd like to simply disable the special characters property so it is not settable when a style is selected that doesn't allow special characters. how can i achieve this goal? thanks

• how to add "Existing solution folder recursively" to my VS2005 solution

  I tried drag and drop from the explorer, but no luck with following error: "Folders cannot be dropped or pasted as solution items. Choose an individual document instead." I know we can create each folders/subfolders manually and add each file, but any quick way to do this on visual studio 2005? Updated: Thank you for the reply, but I do not want the folders to be added under any project, It should appear as a separate node inside my solution, like any other project. In this case the show all files does not work, since the solution itself does not have any folder, it is only if we select any project it works. I know we can create each folders/subfolders manually and add each file, but any quick way, because there are few hundreds of files.

  Hi, I'm new to Android and trying to convert a Windows Mobile app to java/android. In WM there are the followning standard folders: Inbox,Sent, dratfs, outbox, deleted.   What do you guys do, when you have huge project built with ant for instance, where the source folders are right bellow the root project folder, for building classpath from source files ? putting entire project as a source folder is nonsense. Putting separate folders as source folders can't be done if they are part of the package hierarchy and the only thing I could think of, is to copy the source folders into a separate folder and add it then as source folder which is weird but I don't know how else to do it. Having to duplicate sources just because of the eclipse way of making classpath and also because of somebody doing stupid project structure

  Hello, I've seen around the web the following regex (?=^.{8,}$)((?=.*\d)|(?=.*\W+))(?![.\n])(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[a-z]).*$ which validates only if the string: * contain at least (1) upper case letter * contain at least (1) lower case letter * contain at least (1) number or special character * contain at least (8) characters in length I'd like to know how to convert this regex so that it checks the string to * contain at least (2) upper case letter * contain at least (2) lower case letter * contain at least (2) digits * contain at least (2) special character * contain at least (8) characters in length well if it contains at least 2 upper,lower,digits and special chars then I wouldn't need the 8 characters length. special characters include: `~!@#$%^&*()_-+=[]\|{};:'".,/<? thanks in advance.

  Hi Guys, I am using "malsups" jQuery corner plugin - http://jquery.malsup.com/corner/ - and having a bit of nightmare of a time with IE. Basically I have <ol><li> <span class="main"> <span class="test1"></span> <span class="test2"></span> <span class="test3"> <span id="test4"></span> <span id="special" class="special"> <span class="test4">TEXT</span> </span> </span> </li></ol> Basically, in IE when I try and make the id="special" have rounded corners - i get a distorted view. I think its something related to problems with referencing li elements using jQuery('#special').corner('5px'); Could anyone help :) ?

I looked into some well known extensions, such as Firebug, and saw no such devision. I'm a Java developer so its seems much more natural to divide the files logically.

  I am accessing Lotus and Groupwise using javamail via IMAP, recursively accessing all folders and processing email I find. But in folders like Tasklist and Calendar (those are from Groupwise but I think I remember Lotus had similar things), I get the items in there as instances of IMAPMessage, and so they are processed as if they were mail. I understand those items get exposed as mail through the IMAP protocol (either by design or by mistake), but I only want to process proper mail. Is there a way to do this? I have dismissed following approaches so far: Make sure the message has a message-id, at least in Groupwise Calendar items have it. Ignore folders by name (such as Calendar and Tasklist): is not totally correct as a user can move mail inside those folders. What I am looking is some IMAP api call I have missed so far or something in those lines...

• How to Make a DVCS Completely Interoperable with Subversion?

  What architectural changes would a DVCS need to be completely interoperable with Subversion? Many DVCSs have some kind of bidirectional interface with Subversion, but there are limitations and caveats. For instance, git-svn can create a repository that mirrors Subversion, and changes to that repo can be sent back to Subversion via 'dcommit'. But the git-svn manpage explicitly cautions against making clones of that repository, so essentially, it's a Subversion working copy that you can use git commands on. Bazaar has a bidirectional Subversion capability too, but its documentation notes that Subversion properties aren't supported at all. Here's the end that I'm pursuing. I want a Subversion repository and a DVCS repository that, in the steady state, have identical content. When something is changed on one, it's automatically mirrored to the other. Subversion users interact with the Subversion repository normally. DVCS users clone the DVCS repository, pull changes from it, and push changes back to it. Most importantly, they don't need to know that this special DVCS repository is associated with a Subversion repository. It would probably be nifty if any clone of the special repository is itself a special repository and could commit directly to Subversion, but it might be sufficient if only the special repository directly interacts with Subversion. I think that's what mostly needed is to improve the bidirectional capability so that changes to Subversion properties are translated to changes in the DVCS repository. Some changes in the DVCS repository would be translated to changes to Subversion properties. Or is the answer to create a new capability in Subversion that interacts with a DVCS repository, using the DVCS repository as just a special storage layer such as fsfs or bdb? If there's not a direct mapping between the things that Subversion and a DVCS regard as having versions, does that imply that there's always going to be some activity that cannot be recorded properly on one or the other?

  Hello, I have "content" folder which is full of other sub-directories named in the following way: "id1_1","id1_2", "id1_3" and other "id2_1", "id2_2" etc. Each of these folders contains a file "template.php", same name in all sub-directories. The number of folders is dynamic so I need to find a way to import in "index.php" only the "template.php" from all the folders starting with "id_1_". How can I do it? Thanks!

I think I can use this: %UserProfile%\Desktop\ However, I'm thinking, that's probably only going to work on an English OS. Sources are shared, but each platform requires separate makefiles, project files, solutions etc. There are two ways I can organize them: Intermixed in a single hierarchy of folders With separate folders for platform-dependent files The first solution creates some confusion about which file belongs to which platform, but the second causes some repetition of the folders structure (some compilers require each project to have a separate folder).   Assume we have the following Swing application: final JFrame frame = new JFrame(); final JPanel outer = new JPanel(); frame.add(outer); JComponent inner = new SomeSpecialComponent(); outer.add(inner); So in this example we simply have an outer panel in the frame and a special component in the panel. This special component must do something when it is hidden and shown. But the problem is that setVisible() is called on the outer panel and not on the special component. So I can't override the setVisible method in the special component and I also can't use a component listener on it. I could register the listener on the parent component but what if the outer panel is also in another panel and this outer outer panel is hidden? Is there an easier solution than recursively adding componentlisteners to all parent components to detect a visibility change in SomeSpecialComponent?

  Hello everyone, i have a large number of files/folders coming in each day that are being sorted automatically to a wide variety of folders. I'm looking for a way to automatically find these files/folders and create symlinks to them all within an "incoming" folder. Searching for file age should be sufficient for finding the files, however searching for age and owner would be ideal. Then once the files/folders being linked to reach a certain age, say 5 days, remove the symlinks to them automatically from the "incoming" folder. Is this possible to do with a simple shell or python script that can be run with cron? Thanks!
