I've also tried simpleJson encoding in django but with the same result. If I change the url so that it is receiving a JSON file with identical data, it works as expected. Any ideas on what the issue might be?

  I'm fumbling my way through a basic installation of TFS 2010... I see that the TFS_Configuration and Tfs_DefaultCollection databases were successfully created on my local machine. The installation seemed to go smoothly, but it looks like I need to configure a Team Project Collect before I can start using it. Yet, the wizard seems unable to locate the appropriate database that I expected should have been created during the setup process. The server name defaulted properly to the name of the local machine. Did I miss a step somewhere?

  Dear stackoverflow experts, I have a little script which allows me to use jQuery to sort div tags nicely between 3 columns. The jQuery can be seen below: $(".column").sortable( { connectWith: '.column' }, { update: function(event, ui) { alert($(this).sortable('serialize')) } }); If I move an item from column 1 to column 2, it will display 2 alerts, showing the serialized data for the 2 affected columns. The problem is, I need to know the column ids too, so I can eventually save the data into a database. Right now, if it is possible to just display the column id in an alert but, that will be enough for me to continue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  Hi! I have a website that must have javascript turned on so it can work there is a < noscript tag that have a meta to redirect the user to a page that alerts him about the disabled javascript... I am wondering, is this a bad thing for search engine crawlers? Because I send an e-mail to myself when someone doesn't have js so I can analyze if its necessary to rebuild the website for these people, but its 100% js activated and the only ones that doesn't have JS are searchengines crawlers...   Hi, I've a servlet that is invoked via jquery ajax. The resulting XML is then transformed using XSL and displayed on screen. Now, the requirement is to either print or save this content to the local machine. The print portion is working fine but I'm stuck at the Save As part. How do I do this using jquery/javascript? I'm using IE8/XP. I tried document.execCommand('SaveAs'); on button click but it doesn't seem to work in IE8. It shows the alerts I put in till that point, but doesn't bring up the dialog box.   I have a few Silverlight UI tests that I'm automating with White. These tests are subsequently run by a TFS build agent, which is running interactively so it can access the desktop. The build passes if I have a Remote Desktop connection open to the build agent as the tests are run; I can see the mouse pointer moving around. When the test clicks on a HyperlinkButton navigation takes place, and is subsequently verified by assertions within the test. The build fails if I do not have a Remote Desktop connection open to the build agent as the tests are run. The Internet Explorer window is created and the Silverlight app loads, but no clicks happen; the application remains on the initial page and test assertions subsequently fail. Has anyone out there found a solution to this problem?

I ran the Team Foundation Server Build Setup on this server, and it can build non-BizTalk projects OK. However, BizTalk projects fail to build. I suspected something was amiss when "Deployment" was not a valid build type! I tried copying various things over from a developer PC which has BizTalk and Visual Studio 2008 installed, but still couldn't get it to work. I don't really want to install Visual Studio on the staging server, but without it the "Developer Tools and SDK" option in the BizTalk install is greyed out. I guess I need this in order for BizTalk projects to compile. So, my question is can a BizTalk 2009 server be used as a TFS build agent to build BizTalk projects without having Visual Studio installed. If the answer is no, what's the smallest part of VS that can be installed to get this to work? Thanks in advance.

• Blackberry.location API not working correctly

  I am experimenting with making Blackberry widgets but having a little trouble. My first trial involves displaying a button which, when clicked, calls a JavaScript function that should alert the phones latitude and longitude. The function looks: function whereAmI() { var latitude = blackberry.location.latitude; var longitude = blackberry.location.longitude; alert("Lat: "+latitude+", Long: "+longitude); } But it only ever alerts "Lat: 0, Long: 0". I've checked and my GPS seems to be working ok. I'm running OS 5.* on a Curve 8900. Any help would be appreciated :)

• viewDidAppear called when popping navigationController

  I'm having a bit of a problem with the viewDidAppear: method. I have a tabBarController with navigationControllers on each tab, and I have an action that requires that all the navigation controllers pop to their rootViewControllers (programmatically). The problem is that when they pop each navigation controller, the rootViewController's viewDidAppear get's called without it actually being shown. This causes them to do some stuff they were not supposed to (like showing alerts) unless they are actually shown. Besides having to check the currently selected tabBar item, is there any other way to solve this? Thanks.
