Hi,
Is there any way I can determine from my local copy of an SVN project (something within .svn), which version of the SVN server is running?
Thanks,
Barry
I am wondering if one could use the C# Express version to do Compact Framework development. I've done some Google searches but I can't find a defiant answer. I have installed C# Express but there isn't a project template to select for "smart device" development. I will continue my search but I was hoping that the stackoverflow community may be able to assist in finding this information.
How can i programmatically get the value in the image below in the Properties window of the target of my xcode project. I want to display this in the splash screen of my app so i know which version people are using? Hope this makes sense what i'm asking.
Good Day,
I need to determine which version of Microsoft Excel is installed on a Windows PC. I'm working with Apache POI but can't figure out an easy way to do this.
Anyone know if Apache POI has a built in functionality to do this? Any ideas how to do this using Java code?
Thanks in advance.

quick question is the public key token for ADODB dll different for 64bit and 32bit. I am trying to use a COM api which uses ADODB.Recordset and some how I am not able select the right version of ADODB in VS(2010) it asks for 2.8.0.0 and I add 2.8 from the reference dialog. The only thing I can think of is that I am using a 64bit win7
Using rvm, and an empty gemset, I get this:
$ gem install chef --no-ri --no-rdoc
ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::DependencyError)
Unable to resolve dependencies: chef requires net-ssh (~> 2.2.2); net-ssh-multi requires net-ssh (>= 2.6.5); net-ssh-gateway requires net-ssh (>= 2.6.5)
I've tried resolving it by installing earlier versions of net-ssh-gateway and net-ssh-multi, but net-ssh-multi version 1.1 confounds me by installing 1.1.2.

I would like a version of "readlink -f" that provides a trace of every individual symlink resolution it performs. Something like:
$ linktrace /usr/lib64/sendmail
/usr/lib64 -> lib
/usr/lib/sendmail -> ../sbin/sendmail
/usr/sbin/sendmail
$
I know I have used this utility in the past, on linux, and also remember at the time thinking "the name of this tool is completely unintuitive and I will forget it". Well, that day has arrived.
Does anyone have a sample post build event for Babel Obfuscator I can just copy and paste into my .net assembly release build configuration?
The documentation for Babel is 54 pages long, and unfortunately doesn't come with any real world samples on how to use it with Visual Studio integration.
Failing that , is there a free obfuscator out there that integrates well with VS 2008 post build, so that it will obfuscate the release DLL during each new build. I was using Eazfuscator which broke since they released version 2.8.
Thank you
I try to insmod a linux kernel legacy module being ported by me.
The following errors appear:
> sudo insmod camac-mx.ko
insmod: error inserting 'camac-mx.ko': -1 Invalid module format
dmesg |tail -n 1
[1312783.938299] camac_mx: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout
How do I fix this?
When I pass compiler flag "-mmacosx-version-min=10.5", what does it mean? I think it implies the result binary is x86, not ppc, but is it 32 bits or 64 bits? I'm compiling on snow leopard, so default output binary is 64 bits. I'm not passing -universal, it's not 32bit-64bit universal binary, I think.
Dear All,
I've download Windows 7 SDK which was downloaded at the time of the beta release. Now I upgraded to RC and trying with some Direct2D samples. But I can't create the factory pointer using D2D1CreateFactory API. It's always returns NULL. Even the samples downloaded from MSDN is also not working well.
There are some changes from Beta - RC
Is this because of the version mismatch of SDK?
Hi, I have a framework 2.0 asp.net website, I want to change it's framework version to 3.5. Is it possible to do this manually from web.config file? I don't want to change from visual studio property pages. I need to change from web.config, what should I do?
I look for a free launcher or bootstrapper that checks whether the .net framework is installed, and starts my app1.exe, or app2.exe if not. Alternatively a louncher that checks for the OS version.
We have a continuous integration server with over 40 jobs that are constantly changing. I would like to version control continuous integration build jobs in Hudson so we can roll back changes if we have problems.
Is there a Hudson plugin that will do this or other solution that already exists or should I keep the config.xml files in SVN.
I have an ASP app that has a string array as such (there are much more than this):
7.5.0.17 Date: 05_03_10
7.5.0.18 Date: 05_03_10
7.5.0.19 Date: 05_04_10
7.5.0.2 Date: 02_19_10
7.5.0.20 Date: 05_06_10
7.5.0.3 Date: 02_26_10
7.5.0.4 Date: 03_02_10
7.5.0.5 Date: 03_08_10
7.5.0.6 Date: 03_12_10
7.5.0.7 Date: 03_19_10
7.5.0.8 Date: 03_25_10
7.5.0.9 Date: 03_26_10
7.5.1.0 Date: 05_06_10
How do I go about sorting these string by version descending?
I periodically get this problem where all of a sudden mako is using old versions of templates, and it's not until I manually go and update the template files that they'll use the current version. I'm using
./manage.py runserver
I think it's usually after I update using source control, but it's intermittent, and I can't reliably reproduce the problem.
I'm trying to get a very simple Flash video working using SWFembed, and it does work across multiple computers at this point in multiple browsers, but as soon as I pushed it live I got this:
http://cl.ly/1EDS
I've adjusted file permissions, but it is exactly the same code and files as in another directory on the server. I've seen this a few times (green box with version number), but have not been able to find any reference to it online.
Thanks for any suggestions in advance!
Does anybody know how to get the version description field for a Jira project? Using the ProjectService.getVersions method we can get an Array of RemoteVersion objects but these RemoteVersion objects do not contain the description field.
http://docs.atlassian.com/rpc-jira-plugin/latest/com/atlassian/jira/rpc/soap/service/ProjectService.html#getVersions(com.opensymphony.user.User, java.lang.String)
Will I have to expose my own web web service via a Jira plugin to get this?
I have a Debian system currently running with python 2.5.4. I got virtualenv properly installed, everything is working fine. Is there a possibility that I can use a virtualenv with a different version of Python?
I compiled Python 2.6.2 and would like to use it with some virtualenv. Is it enough to overwrite the binary file? Or do I have to change something in respect to the libraries?
I am just putting the finishing touches to an iPhone app that I have written, signed up to the developer program and installed Xcode 3.2.2 (1650) My question is which version of the SDK should I be using to build my application? I was thinking I should be using the latest 3.2 but when I select that I can only access the iPad simulator ...
Should I be using 3.1.3 which runs the iPhone simulator. (NB: I originally developed the app in 3.1.2
