    Will .Net 4.0 use a new version of the CLR (v2.1, 3.0) or will it stick with the existing v2.0? Supplementary: Is it possibly going to keep with CLR v2.0 and add DLR v1.0? Update: Whilst this might look like a speculative question which cannot be answered, the VS team appear to be releasing more and more info on VS10 and .Net 4.0 so this may very soon not be the case. I have downloaded FogBugz-Setup-7.2.17.exe from the fogbugz website, Q - Are there any pre-cautions or steps required to do the ugprade or is it just a case of executing the exe ?     quick question is the public key token for ADODB dll different for 64bit and 32bit. I am trying to use a COM api which uses ADODB.Recordset and some how I am not able select the right version of ADODB in VS(2010) it asks for 2.8.0.0 and I add 2.8 from the reference dialog. The only thing I can think of is that I am using a 64bit win7

    Using rvm, and an empty gemset, I get this: $ gem install chef --no-ri --no-rdoc ERROR: While executing gem ... (Gem::DependencyError) Unable to resolve dependencies: chef requires net-ssh (~> 2.2.2); net-ssh-multi requires net-ssh (>= 2.6.5); net-ssh-gateway requires net-ssh (>= 2.6.5) I've tried resolving it by installing earlier versions of net-ssh-gateway and net-ssh-multi, but net-ssh-multi version 1.1 confounds me by installing 1.1.2.

    Does anyone have a sample post build event for Babel Obfuscator I can just copy and paste into my .net assembly release build configuration? The documentation for Babel is 54 pages long, and unfortunately doesn't come with any real world samples on how to use it with Visual Studio integration. Failing that , is there a free obfuscator out there that integrates well with VS 2008 post build, so that it will obfuscate the release DLL during each new build. I was using Eazfuscator which broke since they released version 2.8. Thank you

  • what does macosx-version-min imply?

    When I pass compiler flag "-mmacosx-version-min=10.5", what does it mean? I think it implies the result binary is x86, not ppc, but is it 32 bits or 64 bits? I'm compiling on snow leopard, so default output binary is 64 bits. I'm not passing -universal, it's not 32bit-64bit universal binary, I think.

But I can't create the factory pointer using D2D1CreateFactory API. It's always returns NULL. Even the samples downloaded from MSDN is also not working well. There are some changes from Beta - RC Is this because of the version mismatch of SDK?

    I'm trying to get a very simple Flash video working using SWFembed, and it does work across multiple computers at this point in multiple browsers, but as soon as I pushed it live I got this: http://cl.ly/1EDS I've adjusted file permissions, but it is exactly the same code and files as in another directory on the server. I've seen this a few times (green box with version number), but have not been able to find any reference to it online. Thanks for any suggestions in advance!
