• Proguard and two projects using the same android library. broadcasting. ClassNotFoundException

  The problem:I have got 2 apps. The interact with each other via broadcasting. I have parcelable class in the android library (they send content of class in the library). So after using Proguard I have got ClassNotFondException. • Android: Having trouble creating a subclass of application to share data with multiple Activities

  Hello, I just finished a couple of activities in my game and now I was going to start to wire them both up to use real game data, instead of the test data I was using just to make sure each piece worked. Since multiple Activities will need access to this game data, I started researching the best way to pass this data to my Activities. I know about using putExtra with intents, but my GameData class has quite a bit of data and not just simple key value pairs. Besides quite a few basic data types, it also has large arrays. I didn't really want to try and pass all that, unless I can pass the entire object, instead of just key/data pairs. I read the following post and thought it would be the way to go, but so far, I haven't got it to work. Android: How to declare global variables? I created a simple test app to try this method out, but it keeps crashing and my code seems to look the same as in the post above - except I changed the names. Here is the error I am getting. • Give Markup support for Custom server control with public PlaceHolders properties

  I have a custom server control with two public PlaceHolder properties exposed to outside. I can use this control in a page like this: <cc1:MyControl ID="MyControl1" runat="server"> <TitleTemplate> Title text and anything else </TitleTemplate> <ContentTemplate> <asp:TextBox ID="TextBox1" runat="server"></asp:TextBox> <asp:Button ID="Button1" runat="server" Text="Button" /> </ContentTemplate> </cc1:MyControl> TitleTemplate and ContentTemplate are properties of type asp.net PlaceHolder class. Everything works fine. The control gets any content given to these custom properties and produces a custom HTML output around them. If I want a Button1_Click event handler, I can attach the event handler in Page_Load like the following code. This happens only for child controls inside my custom control. I can programatically access child control correctly. Only problem is with event handler assignment from Markup. When I select the child Button in markup, the properties window only detects it as a < BUTTON. Not System.Web.UI.Controls.Button. It also doesn't display the "Events" tab. How can I give markup support for this scenario? Here's code for MyControl class if needed. And remember, I'm not using any ITemplate types for this. • Foreign key not stored in child entity (one-to-many)

When persisting parent object (with one-to-many relationship with child), the foreign-key to this parent is not stored in child's table. • Using dynamic enum as type in a parameter of a method

  Hi Experts, What i am trying to achieve here is a bit tricky. Let me brief on a little background first before going ahead. I am aware that we can use a enum as a type to a parameter of a method. • All parts of my Printable Swing component doesn't print

  I'm trying to do a printable component (an invoice document). I use JComponent instead of JPanel because I don't want a background. The component has many subcomponents. The main component implements Printable and has a print-method that is calling printAll(g) so that all subcomponents should be printed. But my subcomponents doesn't print. What am I missing?   I am trying to attach a function-object to be called on destruction of a templatized class. However, I can not seem to be able to pass the function-object as a temporary. Thus when I create an object of class X, I do not have to keep an object of class writer within it, but only a pointer to Base<T> (I'm not sure if I need the <T> here, but for now its there). The problem is that I seem to have to create an object of writer and then pass it to the constructor of X rather than call it like X<int> xi(writer(); I might be missing something completely stupid and obvious here, any suggestions?

The simple idea of what I want to do in code is run through some emails I used PHP-IMAP to get. I then create email objects (a class I defined), and put them in an array. Later on the code, however, I cycle through those emails to display them. However, as you might have guessed I'd have an issue with, I try to use an Email Class object method in that later loop -- and I'm pretty sure PHP doesn't know that the variables in the array happen to be Email Class objects! I wrote a toString method, and I want to call it in the loop. While I don't need to do this for the final version of this tool, I would like to find out what I'm missing.   I have a simple class that draws a line when mouse dragging or a dot when mouse pressing(releasing). When I minimize the application and then restore it, the content of the window disappears except the last dot (pixel). I understand that the method super.paint(g) repaints the background every time the window changes, but the result seems to be the same whether I use it or not. The difference between the two of them is that when I don't use it there's more than a pixel painted on the window, but not all my painting. How can I fix this? • L2S DataContext out of synch: row not found or changed

  The Problem I am getting a number of errors that imply that the DataContext, or rather, the way I am using the DataContext is getting out of synch. The error occurs on db.SubmitChanges() where db is my DataContext instance. The error is: Row not found or changed. The problem only occurs intermitently, for example, adding a row then deleting it. If I stop the dev server and restart, the added row is there and I can delete it no problem. Ie, it seems that the problem is related to the DataContext losing track of the rows that have been added. IMPORTANT: Before anyone votes to close this thread, on the basis of it being a duplicate, I have checked the sql server profiler and there is no "Where 0 = 1" in the SQL. I have also recreated the dbml file, so am satisfied that the database schema is in synch with the schema represented by the dbml file. Ie, no cases of mismatched nullable/not nullable columns, etc. My Diagnosis (for what it is worth): It seems to be a problem related to how I am using the DataContext. I am new to MVC, Repositories and Services patterns, so suspect that I have wired things up wrong. The Setup Simple eLearning app in its early stages. Pupils need to be able to add and delete courses (Courses table) to their UserCourses. To do this, I have a service that gets a specific DataContext instance Dependency Injected into its constructor. • Need to determine button clicked in a JQuery mobile popup and perform actions based thereon

  I am having a problem with a JQM popup. The popup has 3 buttons, and the action taken in the main program depends on which button is clicked. The code in the main program is run more than once and I am not sure why. The simple example below uses an alert to display which button on the popup was clicked.   EDIT: I've edited this post completely, so that the new description of my problem includes all the details and not only what I previously considered relevant. Maybe this new description will help to solve the problem I'm facing. I have two entity classes, Customer and CustomerGroup. The relation between customer and customer groups is ManyToMany. The customer groups are annotated in the following way in the Customer class. @Entity public class Customer { ... @ManyToMany(mappedBy = "customers", fetch = FetchType.LAZY) public Set<CustomerGroup> getCustomerGroups() { ... } ... public String getUuid() { return uuid; } ... } The customer reference in the customer groups class is annotated in the following way @Entity public class CustomerGroup { ... @ManyToMany public Set<Customer> getCustomers() { ... } ... public String getUuid() { return uuid; } ... } Note that both the CustomerGroup and Customer classes also have an UUID field. The UUID is a unique string (uniqueness is not forced in the datamodel, as you can see, it is handled as any other normal string). What I'm trying to do, is to fetch all customers which do not belong to any customer group OR the customer group is a "valid group". The validity of a customer group is defined with a list of valid UUIDs. Since a Customer can belong to multiple CustomerGroups, left joining the CustomerGroup will result in duplicated Customer objects. Hence the count(*) will give a false value, as it only counts how many results there are. I need to get the amount of unique customers and this I expected to achieve by using the Projections.countDistinct("uuid"); -projection. For some reason, as you can see, the projection will still result in a count(*) query instead of the expected count(distinct uuid). Replacing the projection countDistinct with just count("uuid") will result in the exactly same query. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? === "Problem" solved. Reason: PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair). I had a branch in my code and didn't realize that the branch was executed. That branch used rowCount() instead of countDistinct().

• Const-correctness semantics in C++

  For fun and profit™, I'm writing a trie class in C++ (using the C++11 standard.) My trie<T> has an iterator, trie<T>::iterator. (They're all actually functionally const_iterators, because you cannot modify a trie's value_type.) The erase function definitely should modify the trie that the iterator points to, even though the iterator shouldn't. So, I have two questions: Should iterator's constructors be public? trie<T> has the necessary begin() and end() members, and of course trie<T>::iterator and trie<T> are mutual friends, but I don't know what the convention is. Making them private would solve a lot of the angst I'm having about removing the const "promise" from the iterator's constructor. What are the correct const semantics/conventions regarding the iterator and its node pointer here? Nobody has ever explained this to me, and I can't find any tutorials or articles on the Web. This is probably the more important question, but it does require a good deal of planning and proper implementation. I suppose it could be circumvented by just implementing 1, but it's the principle of the thing!

Inside of the PDFFormatter class, I had to use (instanceof) in order to figure out if some code should be included in the returned data. I am trying to be able to pass in two different kinds of profiles to the formatter. (needs to be able to handle multiple kinds of formatters but display the data specific to the Profile class that is being passed to it). • Accordion "growing out" from its container - in IE7/8

  I think this problem is best explained by images. This is how my accordion looks: When you click on the small plus/minus icons the slides under each chapter will expand/collapse. However when the content in the accordion grows too tall, it grows out from its container. So if I click on more plus icons the accordion will look like this (not pretty): As you can see, the container is not growing taller together with the accordion and it does not look good. This problem only occurs in IE7 and IE8. It works in Firefox and Chrome. • Problem using delete[] (Heap corruption) when implementing operator+= (C++)

  I've been trying to figure this out for hours now, and I'm at my wit's end. I would surely appreciate it if someone could tell me when I'm doing wrong. I have written a simple class to emulate basic functionality of strings. The class's members include a character pointer data (which points to a dynamically created char array) and an integer strSize (which holds the length of the string, sans terminator.) Since I'm using new and delete, I've implemented the copy constructor and destructor. My problem occurs when I try to implement the operator+=. The LHS object builds the new string correctly - I can even print it using cout - but the problem comes when I try to deallocate the data pointer in the destructor: I get a "Heap Corruption Detected after normal block" at the memory address pointed to by the data array the destructor is trying to deallocate. Using a plain SQL query almost works, but because there are some nullable enums in the User class AliasToBean fails to transform, otherwise wrapping a SQL query would work like this: return Session .CreateSQLQuery(sql) .SetParameter("ouid", orgUnitId) .SetResultTransformer(Transformers.AliasToBean<UserDTO>()) .List<UserDTO>() I tried the code below as a test (a few different variants), but I'm not sure what I'm doing.
