• SQL Server Reporting Services using of pictures with dynamic links

  I have setup a SSRS 2008 and building reports. So far so good. Now there is a picture control in SSRS where you can set the picture as external link reference. There you can choose to use a link. When I use a weblink (http://anyurl/download_picture.aspx?id=123) it dont' work for me. Calling the url in the web browser (all tested IE, Safari, Chrome, FF) the pictures is delivered, Header is ok, content type, too. Does it work in general in SSRS ? Or do I have to copy the picture to a temp folder and link the url like http://anyurl/mypicture.jpg.

• Automatically Host User Domains in Rails/Apache

  Hi, I'm currently developing a user facing web application that gives each new user their own subdomain on the site, which is fine (using subdomain_fu), but is there a way to let a user map their own domain to this subdomain? I know how to do this manually through SSH-ing into the server and editing the Apache Vhosts file by hand, but is there a way to do this automatically so that a user simply enters their domain into a box on the site (obviously they'd have to change their own DNS elsewhere)? I'm using Ruby 1.8 and Rails 2.3.3 on top of Apache. Essentially letting; http://user.application.com/article-1 be accessed from http://userdomain.com/article-1 Thanks for any help!

  Hey Guys - I'm trying to find an easy way(without having to write any plugins or overrides to Rails) to generate an absolute url to a rails application being in a subdirectory. This url is going to be generated for theme images, not links, so I can't url link_to or url_for. Here's an example of what I want to do: <%= theme_image("delete_icon.png", :theme => "my_theme") %> If my app is running at http://localhost, This would return: <img src="/themes/my_theme/images/delete_icon.png"> but If my app is running at http://localhost/myapp, This would return: <img src="/myapp/themes/my_theme/images/delete_icon.png"> Can anyone point me in the right direction to generate a dynamic, absolute url to a non-routed resource?

Meaning in each index in the List a directory. How can i do it ? Tried with Directory and DirectoryInfo but i just got messed up.

  I am working with Tomcat 5.5.x with Struts 1.2 to run a rather large website (large w.r.t. source code). I'm looking to add OpenID to my website, mostly to access attribute exchange to help accelerate the registration process. Every Java implementation for OpenID I have attempted to use will cause a ServletException. Tracing this has been very difficult, but it seems merely instancing any class that makes use of Apache HttpClient will cause the crash. Is this a configuration problem I can address in the JVM, or is it positively wrong to try to initiate an outbound Http request from within an inbound Http request?

• Data validation between SQL replicated tables

  Hi All, I am trying to figure out a way to validate the data in my publisher and subscriber in SQL 2005 replication. I thought of using sp_publication_validation, but it needs db_owner permission and we are not allowed to have it in our company. So I did bit more reading and found out about two other SPs that I think work for me. First one is sp_article_validation, which I plan to run on the publisher. For each article that I call this SP, its gonna give the row count and a checksum. With that info, I intend to call sp_table_validation on the subscriber, passing the row count and checksum from the previous SP, there by validating both tables. What do you guys think? Is this a proven way to validate data in replication? There is very little documentation on these SPs.   Hi, Hoping someone could pls let me know how to prevent the symbol "&" from being replaced by "&amp;" within my URL, specifically within javascript? Just to expand on requirement, I am getting my url from an oracle database table, which I then use within Oracle Application Express, to set the src attribute of an iframe to this url. FYI, the url stored in the Oracle table is actually stored correctly, i.e. http://mydomain.com/xml/getInfo?s=pvalue1&f=mydir/Summary.xml what appears in my use when trying to pass over into iframe src using javascript is: http://mydomain.com/xml/getInfo?s=pvalue1&amp;f=mydir/Summary.xml which basically returns a page cannot be found Hope this clarified further my issue. But what if I do not wish to/cannot put any thing in front of glassfish?   I want to rewrite URLs so when a user goes to; http://www.example.com/applications/newWeb/www/index.php?page=48&thiscontent=2660&date=2013-10-11&pubType=0&PublishTime=09:30:00&from=home&tabOption=1 and if the URL contains thiscontent=2660 (which in this example above, it does) I want to redirect them to; http://www.example.come/index.php/publications/finance-and-economics/departmental-resources I have about 30 different thiscontent=XXXX types and imagine I’ll have to copy and edit this rule 30 different times for any links to my old website still knocking around out there. I have access to my httpd.conf file but have never done a mod_rewrite before. I also don't really need these showing up in the error logs as 301s. Will that happen? Because at the moment there are hundreds!

  I have a script that sends a request to an HTTP server. The "blah blah blah" is sent back, but the connection does not seem to close, and my script is waiting forever until I abort the server. (My thought is BaseHTTPServer automatically closes connection when the last part in "do_GET()" is computed, but I prevent this by restarting the script.) If I'm right, how do I close the connection? If not, what else might be the problem? Edit: The server script HAS to restart the entire program.

I have an Audio model which has a mp3 field as follows: class Audio < ActiveRecord::Base has_attached_file :mp3, :storage => :s3, :s3_credentials => S3_CREDENTIALS, :bucket => S3_CREDENTIALS[:bucket], :path => ":rails_root/public/system/:attachment/:id/:style/:filename", :url => "/system/:attachment/:id/:style/:filename" I am calling audio.mp3.url from a controller, and it returns http://s3.amazonaws.com/MyApp/audios/mp3s//original/96a9ae89302fdf8462ee05eb829f2e17578b144e20120908-2-11f61zr.mp3?1347135050 instead of http://s3.amazonaws.com/MyApp/audios/mp3s/000/000/004/original/96a9ae89302fdf8462ee05eb829f2e17578b144e20120908-2-11f61zr.mp3?1347135050 (which works) Why is it missing the '000/000/004' part of the route? The same model is generating the right URL when used in a view. Any help? I am using paperclip 3.2.0 and Rails 3.1.8. Any help?

  I had this code in my Website <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"/> <script type='text/javascript' src='/lib/player/swfobject.js'></script> swfobject was not working (not loaded). After altering the code to: <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.4.4.min.js"></script> <script type='text/javascript' src='/lib/player/swfobject.js'></script> It worked fine. The document was parsed as HTML5. I think its funny. Okay, granted a tag that is closed and a self closing tag are not the same. So i would understand if jquery couldnt load. Altough i find it rediciulous. But what i do not understand is that jquery loads but the following, correctly written tag, doesnt?

• IE8 is still caching my requests even with mathrandom.

  TLDR IE is still caching my requests even with Math.random() included in the URL. So I added math random onto the end of my url: var MYKMLURL = 'http://' + host + 'data/pattern?key='+ Math.random(); I also added math random onto my function param: window.setTimeout(RefreshPatternData, 1000, MYKMLLAYER); function RefreshPatternData(layer) { layer.loaded = false; layer.setVisibility(true); layer.refresh({ force: true, params: { 'key': Math.random()} }); setTimeout(RefreshPatternData, 30000, MYKMLLAYER); } So the request appears as http://host/data/pattern?key=35678652545 etc. It changes everytime the request is made. It works in Firefox & Chrome & Safari etc. But IE8 is still caching the data and not updating my layer. Any ideas as to why this might be occuring?

  I have a project that need to draw a fast chart with many series. I must change start position of drawing to a favor position when user want. .Net Chart is slow in lots of series. When I plot the chart, I must invalidate the chart for updates, drawing speed will be too slow if there are too many series. I need at least 900 series in a chart for this project.   I have created SQLiteOpenHelper class to help me open write the database. but i am not able to invoke it from the main.java activity I have created an Class which extends the Database Helper which is stored at /Messaging/src/com/v3/messaging/DatabaseHelper.java Code: http://pastebin.com/Z5qp32xu now i have this class called Main.java which will be the first activity on the launch of the application. But how can i make the DatabaseHelper.java run just to create the database but still be at the Main.java file. The database should be created with the tables only when the db or the tables dont exist.
