    This past week the CodePlex team worked on several fixes to improve the stability of our TFS infrastructure, including applying TFS 2012 Update 1. We apologize for the recent downtime. We are not completely out of the woods, but we appreciate your patience as we work through the issues. Additional Bug Fixes: Fixed several issues with character encoding within file paths. Fixed issue where the number of pull requests and forks were disappearing after selecting either link. Fixed issue blocking license changes when special characters exist in copyright holder field.   • Error creating an .img file from an .ISO (MD5 verified)

    I was following the instructions on this website to create a bootable USB flash drive on a Mac: http://www.ubuntu.com/download/help/create-a-usb-stick-on-mac-osx The instruction: hdiutil convert -format UDRW -o ~/path/to/target.img ~/path/to/ubuntu.iso does not create a valid file that the disk utility can copy to the USB drive, making installation on a USB drive useless. I've been repeating these instructions for days with no luck. The only thing that does not work is the .ISO to .IMG conversion. Is there a way to download Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-but Desktop in a .IMG file already? Unfortunately, my install notebook does not have an optical drive so USB is the only way. Thanks for your help!

    I'm going to organize a mini-course for CS students who have completed CS1 (Python) and CS2 (Java). I'd like to show them more principled approach to programming practice and design, something along the lines of McConnel's Code Complete. If I had enough copies of Code Complete, I would assign some readings from that book. Can you recommend some freely available material (books, blog posts, articles, essays) for such a course? (I'd prefer to avoid topics specific to OOP and focus on more universal principles.)

For example, iI had thought of moving a table which is used multiple times across the application into a directive. The tables alter from headings and size. Is it worth the effort or even a good practice to turn such things into their own directives or should I create each table in a unique way?

    I currently have my app's marketing/external website on the root level, e.g. http://example.com My web app itself is hosted at: http://app.example.com What's the best strategy to set-up Google Analytics tracking for both of them? Should I create a separate web property? Also, what's the difference between creating a new web property and a new profile? UPDATE: I would want to be able to track conversion from a page on the root domain to a sign-up page on the app sub-domain.
