  $(".inputTypeDate").datepicker({ dateFormat: "dd.mm.yy", changeMonth: true, changeYear: true }); <asp:TextBox ID="txtBirthday" runat="server" CssClass="inputTypeDate" Visible="false" ValidationGroup="urgent"></asp:TextBox> in aspx we have some component set to Visible="false" then we change visibility to true. But jquery datepicker calendar does not work in this component. If Visible="true" by default then works. Why and how to fix that. I think that problem is in changing visibility.

• Display error when entire form is blank in CodeIgniter

  I'm trying to create a fairly simple form that has a few checkboxes and input fields and a textarea. Nothing is required by itself; however, if 'A' checkbox is checked, then 'A' input field is required (and so on for the couple other checkboxes I have). I have the above functionality in place, but I'm having a tough time figuring out how to have an error returned if the form is submitted blank (since nothing is required by default). Does anyone know of an easy-ish solution for this? It seems like it should be so simple... Thanks

Wordpress attaches strings like... ?p=%post_id% to index.php But I need them to attach to news.php, e.g. news.php?p=%post_id% How can I change the Wordpress settings so that news.php can be my index and index.php remaind outside of the WP system.

  Im a bit new to T-SQL, Coming from a MySQL background Im still adapting to the different nuances in the syntax. Im looking to add a new column AFTER a specific one. I've found out that AFTER is a valid keyword but I don't think it's the right one for the job. ALTER TABLE [dbo].[InvStockStatus] ADD [Abbreviation] [nvarchar](32) DEFAULT '' NOT NULL ; This is my current query, which works well, except it adds the field at the end of the Table, Id prefer to add it after [Name]. • Casting a Calculated Column in a MySQL view.

  I have a view that contains a calculated column. Is there are a way to cast it as a CHAR or VARCHAR rather than a VARBINARY ? Obviously, I have tried using CAST(... as CHAR) but it gives an error. Here is a simple replicable example.   My windows form application has a grid view control with filename as a default column. User should create a column of following types Text, Number, Currency, Combo Box, Check Box, Radio Button ,Date time type (should display DateTimePicker control) and Hyper Link type. After that i want to pass all rows to next screen for further processing. We can create a column of these types in a grid view but how can i store it in a data table so that i can pass it to next screen. Or should i create a column in a data table and then assign data table to grid view by gridview.DataSource = dt; but can we create a these types of columns in a data table. I am so confused!! • PHP multiple __autoload functions *without* the use of spl_register_autoload?

  I'm an author of a growing library of PHP + QuickBooks related code. I'd like to utilize PHPs __autoload() function, however my code is a library that other people can include() into their own applications, so I can't rely on __autoload() being not already defined. Is there a way to have multiple __autoload() functions? I saw spl_autoload_register() in the PHP manual, but not all of my users have the SPL extension installed, so I can't rely on that. If there was a way to fall-back to using this and use normal require/include statements by default, I might consider that. Does anyone else have any other clever solutions to this issue? It seems like a glaring oversight to only be able to have a single __autoload() function...

• Tomcat custom 404 not shown

  Hello! In my web.xml I am using <error-page> <error-code>404</error-code> <location>/static/404.html</location> </error-page> but is doesn't work in Tomcat. It still shows the Tomcat's default 404 page. And no - that's not IE. I tried different browsers. /static/404.html opens if requested directly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

• Why have private fields in data contracts modified through public ones?

  When you make a new WCF project, sample service is generated for you. The default data contract is (I've just changed the string type field title): [DataContract] public class CompositeType { bool boolValue = true; string name = ""; [DataMember] public bool BoolValue { get { return boolValue; } set { boolValue = value; } } [DataMember] public string Name { get { return name; } set { name = value; } } } What is the point of having those private fields boolValue and name? Is it a good practice writing some data sanitizing or some other manipulations in contract, thus bloating it? It seems the only sane reason for me not writing to fields directly. So is it a bloatware or it has some reason behind it?

• Do I need something more to run NUnit under any directory?

  I have NUnit installed at this directory. C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.5.5\bin\net-2.0 When I try to run my unit test (mut.dll) in some random directory. I get the following error. I have to copy the mut.dll under the NUnit directory in order to run it. ProcessModel: Default DomainUsage: Single Execution Runtime: net-2.0 Could not load file or assembly 'nunit.framework, Version=2.5.5.10112, Culture=n eutral, PublicKeyToken=96d09a1eb7f44a77' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. What's wrong? Is there anything that I have to configure to run NUNit under any directory?

• Button in App on iOS 4.2 won't work properly

  My app, written for the iPad contains several UIButtons. One of them starts and stops an AVAudioPlayer: hitting the button once starts the player, hitting it again stops it accordingly. Rinse and repeat. This all works nicely on iOS version pre 4.2. When installing the App on an iPad with iOS 4.2, the button turns on and off the audio player exactly once, then stops working properly: after hitting the button, it turns into its selected state, but it does not start the audio player (as it should) and hitting the button again doesn't return it to its default state, either. As previously said: it's all fine and dandy pre 4.2, the problem only arises on the most current OS version. XCode 3.2.4 iPad with iOS 4.2

  I have a byte array that I'm encoding to a string: Private Function GetKey() As String Dim ba() As Byte = {&H47, &H43, &H44, &H53, &H79, &H73, &H74, &H65, &H6D, &H73, &H89, &HA, &H1, &H32, &H31, &H36} Dim strReturn As String = Encoding.ASCII.GetString(ba) Return strReturn End Function Then I write that to a file via IO.File.AppendAllText. If I open that file in 010 Editor (to view the binary data) it displays as this: 47 43 44 53 79 73 74 65 6D 73 3F 0A 01 32 31 36 The original byte array contained 89 at position 11, and the encoded string contains 3F. If I change my encoding to Encoding.Default.GetString, it gives me: 47 43 44 53 79 73 74 65 6D 73 E2 80 B0 0A 01 32 31 36 Any help would be much appreciated!

• Read Velocity Tokens/Tag from .vm file

  I have an application where in I am trying to create a velocity template repository which will help me centralise all my email templates and will allow me to create a communication hub. All templates will be called at runtime and populates with data via services. My problem is that I need to provide users with optional and compulsory params list when they define the template inputs for the velocity template. Is there a way to read the tokens/tags from the velocity template file and extract them?? Like I want a list of tokens $name.address.streetName to be available to me from .vm file. I do not want to go for Regex . I do not have to cache or reuse them , its just going to be a one time read and store the default,compulsory & optional params in the database. The example PHP script for the gateway simply sets the XML like this curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $xmlRequest); // $xmlRequest is just a string of XML In all of my experience, generally you need to use an array with key/values or a string similar to GET params. I am using Kohana, and tracked down a cURL module. It accepts the POST key/values as an array only. Now, I could ditch the module and throw some cURL straight in, but I am using this module fine all throughout the site, so would prefer to use it here. So, my question is, how does that first one work? Does it just POST the whole thing without any named key? Is there a default key I could use for an array to get the module to work?

• How to display mysql records as preselected checkboxes?

  I have a table column called post_tags within a table called posts where assigned tags are stored separated by the @ symbol. I also have a table called tags where all tag names are stored. I would like to design my database in a more normalized way but for the purpose I am trying to achieve this is the easiest option. Anyway, I want to display on the screen all the entries from the tags table as checkboxes, so I do: $query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM tags ORDER BY name"); while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($query)) { $tag = $row['name']; echo "<input type='checkbox' name='tags[]' value='$tag' />\n"; } Next I want to have the tags that are assigned to a particular post be preselected. For example, if I have a post with the following in it's post_tags column: party@beaches@dolphins@ I want the "party", "beaches" and "dolphin" checkboxes to be checked by default (while the checkboxes for the other options are unchecked). How can this be done?

• How to force Maven to download maven-metadata.xml from the central repository?

  What I want to do is to force Maven to download the 'maven-metadata.xml' for each artifact that I have in my local repository. The default Maven behaviour is to download only metadata from remote repositories (see this question). Why I want to do that: Currently I have a remote repository running in a build machine. By remote repository I mean a directory located in the build machine that contains all dependencies that I need to build my Maven projects. Note that I'm not using a repository manager like Nexus, the repository is just a copy of a local repository that I have uploaded to my build machine. However, since my local repository did not contain the 'maven-metadata.xml' files, these metadata files are also missing in the build machine repository. If I could retrieve the metadata files from the central repository, then it would be possible to upload a working remote repository to my build machine.

• Problem compiling mod_wsgi for python2.6 on Cent OS 5.3

  I am running a website on CentOS 5.3. I understand centos will break if the default python 2.4 is upgraded. I followed this site (http://www.question-defense.com/2009/12/25/how-to-install-python-2-6-on-centos-5-without-breaking-yum) and got python 2.6 installed. Now if I run "python" it runs python2.4 and if I run "python26" it runs python2.6. I am trying to compile mod_wsgi-3.2. When it run ./configure it takes only python 2.4 environment. I have tried using the --with-python=/usr/bin/python26. That way, "make" command does not work. Can someone throw some light on this? Thanks in advance

  i have a function which is a class method, and i want to test a attribute of the class which may or may not be None, but will exist always. class classA(): def __init__(self, var1, var2 = None): self.attribute1 = var1 self.attribute2 = var2 @classmethod def func(self,x): if self.attribute2 is None: do something i get the error AttributeError: class classA has no attribute 'attributeB' when i access the attribute like i showed but if on command line i can see it works, x = classA() x.attributeB is None True so the test works. if i remove the @classmethod decorator from func, the problem disapears. if i leave the @classmethod decorator, it only seems to affect variables which are supplied default values in the super-class's constructor. whats going on in the above code?

  I know having DEFAULT NULLS is not a good practice but I have many optional lookup values which are FK in the system so to solve this issue here is what i am doing: I use NOT NULL for every FK / lookup valve field. I have the first row in every table which is PK id = 1 as a dummy row with just "none" in all the columns. this way I can use NOT NULL in my schema and if needed reference to the none row values which should be null. Is this a good design or any other work arounds?
