    Is there an existing good example, or how should one approach creating a basic Template system (thinking MVC) that supports "Template Inheritance" in PHP5? For an example of what I define as Template Inheritance, refer to the Django (a Python framework for web development) Templates documentation: http://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/templates/#id1 I especially like the idea of PHP itself being the "template language", though it's not necessarily a requirement.     Right, so if you have to decide on a server-side language for a distributed Linux-based server backend, would you choose: PHP Mono ASP.net Java As a C++ programmer, I'm thinking Java+Tomcat, but I'd love to hear experienced thoughts here, especially relating to debugging and IDE (likely Eclipse). However, Gmail, Hotmail and most of other emails will ignore to render this as a table. Form w3schools: XML elements must follow these naming rules: Names can contain letters, numbers, and other characters Names cannot start with a number or punctuation character Names cannot start with the letters xml (or XML, or Xml, etc) Names cannot contain spaces I can write a basic regex that will check for rules 1,2 and 4, but it won't account for all punctuation allowed and won't account for 3rd rule \w[\w0-9-]

    I have randomly created strings such as H*P2[-%-3:5RW0j*;k52vedsSQ5{)ROkb]P/*DZTr*-UX4sp What I want to do is get a count of all Caps, lower case, numeric and special characters in each string as they are generated. I am looking for an output similar to Caps = 5 Lower = 3 numneric = 6 Special = 4 Fictitious values of course. I have gone through the php string pages using count_char, substr_count etc but cant find what I am looking for. Thank you

    I'm trying to consume a hello world AXIS2 SOAP web service using a PHP client. The Java class is written in Netbeans and the AXIS2 aar file is generated using the Netbeans AXIS2 plugin.     Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice on 'best practices' for using global state in a web application - specifically PHP, although im looking for generic best practices i.e. design patterns etc. At the moment I just use a static class, calling it Configs. I suppose this is similar to using the registry pattern but surely there is a more elegant way of handling global data within an application - i just cant think of a better way though.
