  I have the following code: Dim DumpXlApp As Excel.Application = New Excel.Application Dim DumpWkBk As Excel.Workbook DumpWkBk = System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindToMoniker(FilePath) DumpXlApp = DumpWkBk.Parent DumpXlApp.Visible = True I can't get the DumpWkBk workbook to become visible. Is the issue DumpXlApp = DumpWkBk.Parent line? I don't think it is the BindToMoniker line because I can do things with DumpWkBk.

  Experienced Java programmer trying to learn Python. I have an applicaiton on Google App Engine and want to move my admin Handlers to a separate file. So now I have main.py and admin.py. I've set up app.yaml to route traffic properly, and have added the call to WSGIApplication() in each file to route to the appropriate Handler.   In my application, if the user saves a file to a folder they don't have permissions for, File.Copy will fail. An example is saving a document to the C:\ root. Instead of denying access, I'd like to prompt the user to elevate permissions with a UAC prompt, but only for this save function (not for the entire application). Is there a way to do this?
