  • IE image map remains clickable behind another div

    I have an Image Map of the United States. When you click on a state, the map fades out and a map of that state appears with an image map of the area codes in the state. In Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, the state map becomes clickable and the United States map becomes unclickable until you close the sate popover. However in Internet Explorer, the United States map remains clickable through the state popover, and I cannot click on any area codes. Even after coaching, users still tend to not understand how to use filters because AND OR = etc are foreign to them. This filter is easy for programmers since it is easily translated into code.   • Can I load multiple UIViewControllers that each kick off their own NSURLConnections?

    My Rootviewcontroller uses NSURLConnection to get data from a server, and then, based on this data, loads a bunch (like 7) of smaller UIViewControllers that each also use their own NSURLConnection to get some more specific data from the server. But, the problem is, only the RooTViewController is recieving callbacks from: - (void)connectionDidFinishLoading:(NSURLConnection *)theConnection the other UIViewControllers never get callbacks...

    I've searched the AOL Developer network and found a Contacts API page that says "coming soon" and is dated last year. I've checked the SDK and APIs and found some AIM Buddy references... I'm looking for documentation on retrieving contact email addresses on behalf of users based on their AOL email login. Am I missing something or is the documentation really difficult to find? Does someone have a useful link?

  • Advantages/disadvantages of Glassfish v3 Prelude vs Springsource dm server for Web applications?

    Both of these appservers are at least in part OSGI based. One (Glassfish) is obviously J2EE while the other isn't. Now I'm at the stage of choosing a platform for a new project and the natural choice is Glassfish v3 Prelude. This does raise the issue of perhaps we should be using S2AP instead. The question then is this: does the springsource dm server offer any compelling reason to use it over Glassfish? And vice versa.

    I am working to configure Spring-Security with an existing application, for just basic security (i.e. what pages a user can see based on their roles). The question came up wondering if we could set what roles are required for each page in java instead of the ApplicationContext.xml.     Hi; I'm trying to create a multi-sheet excel document, and thus far I'd been doing it in PHP - but using PHPExcel was eating up 70MB of RAM for about 60,000 spreadsheet cells total. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Spreadsheet::WriteExcel and if it has problems with creating very large documents. I'd just give it a shot but I'm very inexperienced with Perl and it could take me quite a bit of time to get this up and rolling even if for a test, and I thought someone here might have insight for me.

  • CSS rule ignored in IE8 Quirks Mode.

    I have a ul/li based side menu, styled with two CSS rules, the following of them is ignored by IE8 Quirks mode, and I assume IE6: ul { padding-left: 15px; } I can reproduce the problem in FF by removing this rule completely. I have also tried using jQuery to apply the rule, with no change in IE8: $("ul.menu-class").find("ul").css("padding-left", 15); Is this a box model issue, and, how can I reduce the UL 'padding' in IE Quirks Mode?
