• GMap.NET shows no map

  I'm trying to use the GMap.NET.WindowsForms control in my Windows forms application but I cannot make it show me any map. Here is what I did: I added the control to my Visual Studio's 2010 toolbox by clicking 'Choose Items...' from the toolbox's context menu and browsing for the GMap.NET.WindowsForms.dll included in the downloaded zip archive. I also added references to GMap.NET.Core.dll and System.Data.SQLite.dll in my solution. Then I put the GMapControl that appeared in the toolbox on the main form of my application and set the map type to GoogleMap. When I run my application, however, the control shows either a blue screen with a piece of text saying "We are sorry, but we don't have imagery at this zoom level for this region" or a bright screen with completely no data (when I change zoom level). Here is my code: GMapMain.MapType = MapType.GoogleMap; GMapMain.MaxZoom = 100; GMapMain.MinZoom = 0; GMapMain.Zoom = 50; GMapMain.CurrentPosition = new PointLatLng(54.6961334816182, 25.2985095977783); GMapMain.ReloadMap(); Please help. • Threading best practice when using SFTP in C#

  Ok, this is more one of these "conceptual questions", but I hope I got some pointers in the right direction. First the desired scenario: I want to query an SFTP server for directory and file lists I want to upload or download files simulaneously Both things are pretty easy using a SFTP class provided by Tamir.SharpSsh, but if I only use one thread, it is kind of slow. Especially the recursion into subdirs gets very "UI blocking", because we are talking about 10.000 of directories. My basic approach is simple, create some kind of "pool" where I keep 10 open SFTP connections. Then query the first worker for a list of dirs. If this list was obtained, send the next free workers (e.g. 1-10, first one is also free again) to get the subdirectory details. As soon as there is a worker free, send him for the subsubdirs. And so on... I know the ThreadPool, simple Threads and did some Tests. What confuses me a little bit is the following: I basically need... A list of threads I create, say 10 Connect all threads to the server If a connection drops, create a new thread / sftp client If there is work to do, take the first free thread and handle the work I am currently not sure about the implementation details, especially the "work to do" and the "maintain list of threads" parts. Is it a good idea to: Enclose the work in an object, containing a job description (path) and a callback Send the threads into an infinite loop with 100ms wait to wait for work If SFTP is dead, either revive it, or kill the whole thread and create a new one How to encapsulate this, do I write my own "10ThreadsManager" or are there some out Ok, so far... Btw, I could also use PRISM events and commands, but I think the problem is unrelated. Perhaps the EventModel to signal a done processing of a "work package"... Thanks for any ideas, critic.. Chris

• Getting the CVE ID Property of an update from WSUS API via Powershell

  I am writing a script in Powershell to get the update information from each computer and correlate the information with another System which identifies updates by CVE ID. I have discovered that there is a "CVEIDs" property for an update in WSUS, which is documented in MSDN, but I have no idea how to access the property. Retrieving the CVE ID from WSUS is the key to this script, so I am hoping someone out there can help!   Hi Everyone, I'm using AMCharts and rails. AMCharts uses the Image Magic lib to export an image of the chart. In rails this is done with the gem, RMagic. • Image Line Trace Math Help Hard To Explain

  Hi all, sorry for the confusing title, its really hard for me to explain what i want. So i created this image :) Ok so the two RED dots are points on an image. The distance between them isnt important. What I want to do is, Using the coordinates for the two dots, work out the angle of the space between them (as shown by the black line between the red dots) Then once the angle is found, on the last red dot, create two points which cross the angle of the first line. Then from that, scan a Half semicircle and get the coordinates of every pixel of the image that the orange line passes. I dnot know if this makes any sense to you lot so i drew another picture: As you can see in the second picture, my idea is applied to a line drawn on a black canavs. The two red dots are the starting coordinates then at the end of the two dots, a less then half semicircle is created. The part that is orange shows the pixels of the image that should be recorded. I have no clue how to start this, so if anyone has any ideas on how i can or on what i need to do, any help is much appreciated :)

The code works perfectly fine, but it leaks 4 Kbs on each call in IE, so I want to refactor it to turn the anonymous function into a named one, like this.onSuccess = function(res) { .. }. The problem is that this function uses variables from this.invoke(..), so I cannot just take it outside of its body. How do I correctly refactor this code, so that it does not use anonymous functions and parent function variables?

• Update a single field from a single entity with ria-services

  There are situations where I only want to update a specific field of a single entity in the database. I loaded the entities of that type into my silverlight application, and I know they are constantly changing on the server... but there is one field which has to be set by the silverlight client... the server will only read it. How can I just send the new data for that field to the server? Example an Entity called "TextField". I have a list of TextFields loaded in the silverlight application and every now and then the user will update the Preload (string) property of an entity and that has to go back to the server without changing anything else on the server. I tried adding a simple SetPreloadText(...) method to the DomainService but that just makes Silverlight crash with some odd error code. Is there a way to this? Am I working against the idea of Silverlight here? I really don't want to send the entire object back because know that at any given time the version on the client will most likely be out of date. (which is ok for this specific application)

When I run every Maven commad there is dependency looking for commons-collection in this Jasper repository so I need to wait for timeout. This is my base project and is used as dependency in my others projects so again I need to wait for timeout. Is there are a way to move this repository to blacklisted or override this settings? • SimpleJdbcCall ignoring JdbcTemplate fetch size

  We are calling the pl/sql stored procedure through Spring SimpleJdbcCall, the fetchsize set on the JdbcTemplate is being ignored by SimpleJdbcCall. The rowmapper resultset fetch size is set to 10 even though we have set the jdbctemplate fetchsize to 200. Any idea why this happens and how to fix it? Have printed the fetchsize of resultset in the rowmapper in the below code snippet - Once it is 200 and other time it is 10 even though I use the same JdbcTemplate on both occassion.   Hi everyone, I am trying to do an autocomplete version my way (logic, layout, etc...) , so I don't want to use the AutoCompleteTextView. My question is how to set an EditText on top of a ListView in a class inheriting from a ListAcvitivy. I tried two kinds of layout, none of them worked. • Unable to change the value of the variable

  I'm using a discrete event simulator called ns-2 that was built using Tcl and C++. I was trying to write some code in TCL: set ns [new Simulator] set state 0 $ns at 0.0 "puts \"At 0.0 value of state is: $state\"" $ns at 1.0 "changeVal" $ns at 2.0 "puts \"At 2.0 values of state is: $state\"" proc changeVal {} { global state global ns $ns at-now "set state [expr $state+1]" puts "Changed value of state to $state" } $ns run Here's the output: At 0.0 value of state is: 0 Changed value of state to 0 At 2.0 values of state is: 0 The value of state does not seem to change. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong in using TCL. Anyone has an idea as to what might be going wrong here? EDIT: Thanks for the help. Actually, ns-2 is something over which I do not have much control (unless I recompile the simulator itself).   I have a variable number of two-dimensional arrays. The first dimension is variable, the second dimension is constant. i.e.: Object[][] array0 = { {"tim", "sanchez", 34, 175.5, "bla", "blub", "[email protected]"}, {"alice", "smith", 42, 160.0, "la", "bub", "[email protected]"}, ... }; Object[][] array1 = { {"john", "sdfs", 34, 15.5, "a", "bl", "[email protected]"}, {"joe", "smith", 42, 16.0, "a", "bub", "[email protected]"}, ... }; ... Object[][] arrayi = ... I'm generating these arrays with a for-loop: for (int i = 0; i < filter.length; i++) { MyClass c = new MyClass(filter[i]); //data = c.getData(); } Where "filter" is another array which is filled with information that tells "MyClass" how to fill the arrays. "getData()" gives back one of the i number of arrays. Now I just need to have everything in one big two dimensional array. i.e.: Object[][] arrayComplete = { {"tim", "sanchez", 34, 175.5, "bla", "blub", "[email protected]"}, {"alice", "smith", 42, 160.0, "la", "bub", "[email protected]"}, ... {"john", "sdfs", 34, 15.5, "a", "bl", "[email protected]"}, {"joe", "smith", 42, 16.0, "a", "bub", "[email protected]"}, ... ... }; In the end, I need a 2D array to feed my Swing TableModel.   Say I have the following table definitions in SQL Server 2008: CREATE TABLE Person (PersonId INT IDENTITY NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, Name VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL, ManyMoreIrrelevantColumns VARCHAR(MAX) NOT NULL) CREATE TABLE Model (ModelId INT IDENTITY NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, ModelName VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL, Description VARCHAR(200) NULL) CREATE TABLE ModelScore (ModelId INT NOT NULL REFERENCES Model (ModelId), Score INT NOT NULL, Definition VARCHAR(100) NULL, PRIMARY KEY (ModelId, Score)) CREATE TABLE PersonModelScore (PersonId INT NOT NULL REFERENCES Person (PersonId), ModelId INT NOT NULL, Score INT NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (PersonId, ModelId), FOREIGN KEY (ModelId, Score) REFERENCES ModelScore (ModelId, Score)) The idea here is that each Person may have only one ModelScore per Model, but each Person may have a score for any number of defined Models. As far as I can tell, this SQL should enforce these constraints naturally. The ModelScore has a particular "meaning," which is contained in the Definition. Nothing earth-shattering there. Now, I try translating this into Entity Framework using the designer. After updating the model from the database and doing some editing, I have a Person object, a Model object, and a ModelScore object. PersonModelScore, being a join table, is not an object but rather is included as an association with some other name (let's say ModelScorePersonAssociation). The mapping details for the association are as follows: - Association - Maps to PersonModelScore - ModelScore ModelId : Int32 <=> ModelId : int Score : Int32 <=> Score : int - Person PersonId : Int32 <=> PersonId : int On the right-hand side, the ModelId and PersonId values have primary key symbols, but the Score value does not. Upon compilation, I get: Error 3002: Problem in Mapping Fragment starting at line 5190: Potential runtime violation of table PersonModelScore's keys (PersonModelScore.ModelId, PersonModelScore.PersonId): Columns (PersonModelScore.PersonId, PersonModelScore.ModelId) are mapped to EntitySet ModelScorePersonAssociation's properties (ModelScorePersonAssociation.Person.PersonId, ModelScorePersonAssociation.ModelScore.ModelId) on the conceptual side but they do not form the EntitySet's key properties (ModelScorePersonAssociation.ModelScore.ModelId, ModelScorePersonAssociation.ModelScore.Score, ModelScorePersonAssociation.Person.PersonId). • LINQ to SQL: filter nested objects with soft deletes

  Hello everyone, I'm using soft deleting in my database (IsDeleted field). I'm actively using LoadWith and AssociateWith methods to retrieve and filter nested records. The thing is AssociateWith only works with properties that represents a one-to-many relationship. DataLoadOptions loadOptions = new DataLoadOptions(); loadOption.LoadWith<User>(u = > u.Roles); loadOption.AssociateWith<User>(u = > u.Roles.Where(r = > !r.IsDeleted)); In the example above I just say: I want to retrieve users with related (undeleted) roles. But when I have one-to-one relationship, e.g. Document - File (the only one file is related to the document) I'm unable to filter soft deleted object: DataLoadOptions loadOptions = new DataLoadOptions(); loadOption.LoadWith<Document>(d = > d.File); // the next certainly won't work loadOption.AssociateWith<File>(f = > !f.IsDeleted); So, is there any idea how to filter records within the one-to-one relationship? • Strange - Clicking Update button doesn’t cause a postback due to <!-- tag

  Hey folks, I'm migrating a Website from Rails 2 (latest) to Rails 3 (beta2). Testing with Ruby 1.9.1p378 and Ruby 1.9.2dev (2010-04-05 trunk 27225) Stuck in a situation, i don't know which part will work well. Suspect yield is the problem, but don't know exactly. In my Layout Files I use the following technique quite often: app/views/layouts/application.html.erb: <%= yield(:sidebar) || render('shared/sidebar') %> For Example the partial look like: app/views/shared/_sidebar.html.erb: <p>Default sidebar Content. Bla Bla</p> Now it is time for the key part! In any view, I want to create a content_for block (optional). This can contain a pice of HTML etc. example below. If this block is set, the pice HTML inside should render in application.html.erb. If not, Rails should render the Partial at shared/_sidebar.html.erb on the right hand side. app/views/books/index.html.erb: <% content_for :sidebar do %> <strong>You have to read REWORK, a book from 37signals!</strong> <% end %> So you've got the idea. Hopefully. This technique worked well in any Rails 2.x Application. Now, in Rails 3 (beta2) only the yield Part is working. || render('shared/sidebar') The or side will not process by rails or maybe ruby. Thanks for input and time!

• CKEditor createFakeParserElement: writeHtml is not a function

  I am trying to write a plugin for CKEditor that is basically just a iframe with PHP content. The user browses around, selects the video they want and then they click insert. The problem is that I need to create a "fake element" for this video, as inserting a video directly seems to show up as a Flash object, and we need to make it look a little different. • iPhone openGLES performance tuning

  Hey there! I'm trying now for quite a while to optimize the framerate of my game without really making progress. I'm running on the newest iPhone SDK and have a iPhone 3G 3.1.2 device. I invoke arround 150 drawcalls, rendering about 1900 Triangles in total (all objects are textured using two texturelayers and multitexturing. most textures come from the same textureAtlasTexture stored in pvrtc 2bpp compressed texture). This renders on my phone at arround 30 fps, which appears to me to be way too low for only 1900 triangles. I tried many things to optimize the performance, including batching together the objects, transforming the vertices on the CPU and rendering them in a single drawcall. this yelds 8 drawcalls (as oposed to 150 drawcalls), but performance is about the same (fps drop to arround 26fps) I'm using 32byte vertices stored in an interleaved array (12bytes position, 12bytes normals, 8bytes uv). I'm rendering triangleLists and the vertices are ordered in TriStrip order. I did some profiling but I don't really know how to interprete it. instruments-sampling using Instruments and Sampling yelds this result: http://neo.cycovery.com/instruments_sampling.gif telling me that a lot of time is spent in "mach_msg_trap". I googled for it and it seems this function is called in order to wait for some other things. But wait for what?? instruments-openGL instruments with the openGL module yelds this result: http://neo.cycovery.com/intstruments_openglES_debug.gif but here i have really no idea what those numbers are telling me shark profiling: profiling with shark didn't tell me much either: http://neo.cycovery.com/shark_profile_release.gif the largest number is 10%, spent by DrawTriangles - and the whole rest is spent in very small percentage functions Can anyone tell me what else I could do in order to figure out the bottleneck and could help me to interprete those profiling information?
