    I was in charge of the css for a website. I sent in my code to a guy who integrates the css with the dev site. Later they decided it would be better for me to have a more direct role in dealing with the css. I've downloaded everything on the ftp but have no idea how to get this set up. I am running an Apache server on a Fedora Linux install. Is there any way I can set up a local testing server so I can test my changes before ftp'ing them back on the site?

    Microsoft has recently launched Razor view engine with ASP.NET MVC RC2. It’s going to be promising one. There are lots of features bundled with this view engine. But in earlier version of ASP.NET 3 MVC. We were are not having Synatx intellisense provided for asp.net mvc views  in Visual Studio 2010. So either we have to depend third party tools like Resharper or we have to manage it without intellisesnse. But with ASP.NET MVC 3 RC2 Microsoft has moved one step forward and its providing syntax intellisense without installing any third party addons in Visual Studio. Here is example of it.     I would like to learn C# programming. I already studied it for several weeks and wrote some minor programs with VS2010, and I'm not completely newbie at programming because I worked on STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl as scripter, but it was LUA. I want to become a real programmer. I think C# is a decent way to start with. I already learned about the most commonly used resource sites and got some nice eBooks as well, but unfortunately I don't have time to sit down in front my computer all the time, so my progress is pretty slow. I would like to ask that if someone can recommend me some decent interactive online courses to make my learning progress faster. I know about the "joe grip" course but I don't know if it's worth $39 also it's only for .NET 1.x and 2.0 while I'd like to learn 4.0 so I have no idea what should I do.

    There is no official API for Google Voice. However, many of the operations are done via simple rest style http calls, so building one shouldn’t be too difficult. Digging deeper and rolling your own is always a great way to exercise your problem solving skills and learn new things. So I did just that. As of the time of writing this, I’m only implementing basic SMS send since that’s all I needed. I’m hoping to implement more functionality in the future. In my next post, I’ll be using the SMS functionality to implement 2 factor authentication with ASP.Net MVC.

Any idea what could be causing this issue? In a possibly related matter, I noticed in another script that the following code fails in the same manner (network responses stay in the process’s TCP receive queue) with the new system: $sock = new IO::Socket::INET( PeerAddr => "$server", PeerPort => 37, Proto => 'tcp', Timeout => 5 ); Whereas the following code works: $sock = new IO::Socket::INET( PeerAddr => "$server", PeerPort => 37, Proto => 'tcp' ); I have looked through the NET::DNS code and don’t see a timeout passed for the UDP sockets, so I am not sure if that this is related or not.     anyone can help me? I just got this problem today. Before this my site running smooth with Fastcgi enable but now its show 500 internal server error with below logs. I need to disable php fastcgi in LxAdmin so that my visitor can access my site but when I disable php fastgi, my web performance is very slow with high load to server. I also include the performance screenshot. What should I do?     I’m trying to improve my TCP throughput over a “gigabit network with lots of connections and high traffic of small packets”. My server OS is Ubuntu 11.10 Server 64bit. There are about 50.000 (and growing) clients connected to my server through TCP Sockets (all on the same port). 95% of of my packets have size of 1-150 bytes (TCP header and payload). The rest 5% vary from 150 up to 4096+ bytes. With the config below my server can handle traffic up to 30 Mbps (full duplex). Can you please advice best practice to tune OS for my needs?   • IIS 404 custom error

    I've deployed an ASP.NET 3.5 app to a 64bit Windows 2003 R2 server. In the web.config I have the following <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="/404/"> <error statusCode="404" redirect="/404/"/> <error statusCode="500" redirect="/500/"/> </customErrors> In the website properties in IIS Manager I have set the 404 and 500 errors to Type = "URL" and the same URLs as in the web.config. I have a wildcard application map to the .NET 2.0 aspnet_isapi.dll with "Verify file exists" turned off. If I try to hit a fake .aspx file I successfully get sent to the 404 page. I belive this is because there is an explicit mapping for .aspx to the .NET DLL. If I try to access a fake directory I simply recieve a plain text response saying: The system cannot find the file specified. It would appear that these requests for directories are not being routed through the .NET pipeline, which is what I would expect (and need) to happen becuase of the wildcard application mapping. Any ideas?

    I'm newbie in IIS 7.5 , Before this I used to run ASP.NET Website under IIS 5 , That was too easy . I'm trying to run a very simple asp.net website ( just created a new website from VS 2010 targeted in .net 3.5) in IIS 7.5.7600 on windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit . While adding application , during Test Setting i receive one warning that says : The server is configured to use pass-through authentication with a built-in account to access the specified physical path. However, IIS Manager cannot verify whether the built-in account has access. Make sure that the application pool identity has Read access to the physical path. If this server is joined to a domain, and the application pool identity is NetworkService or LocalSystem, verify that \$ has Read access to the physical path. Then test these settings again But I don't know how to make sure application pool identity has read access to the physical path ? I'm wondering if there is any step by step article or some thing that show me the walk-though for running a simple asp.net website on IIS 7.5? I appreciate any help .
