The lack of TRACE messages seems to indicate that my log4j2.xml settings aren't on the classpath either. Why should there be any difference in classpath if I'm running Foo.main versus LoggerTest.main? Or is there something else causing this behavior? Update I used SBT Assembly to build a fat jar of this project and specified logtest.LoggerTest to be the main class. I figure there's a reason there are only a few Python databases, and my gut agrees that my favorite language will be too slow to act as an honest performing database, but I'm looking forward to using it to learn what I need quickly. Would someone please contradict me? Is Python as ill-suited right now for this sort of thing as I think?

    I'm trying to learn some Smalltalk. Fisrt found was Squeak, but since it has been removed from Gentoo ebuild tree because of security problem, so I decided to find an alternative. Then I found Pharo through Seaside project, after I downloaded Pharo 1.0 package, there are actually a SqueakVM inside! So, my question is: Is Pharo just a repackaging/rebranding of Squeak? And are those security problem of Squeak (bundle unsecure libs) still applied to Pharo? Thanks!

    I can see "SQL Server Compact Destination" under Data Flow Destinations, but I am looking for its source counterpart. If I choose ADO.Net source and create a new connection, there's no provider for SQL CE. What am I missing? Thanks! Update: I am able to create a "Data Source" (under "Data Sources" folder in my SSIS project") that connects to an existing Sql CE file. But how can I use this Data Source in my data flow?

I want to have a tool to view the differences between several commits. gitk does a good job, but talking about human readability, it's does not facilitate me much. Is there a better solution? I'm looking for a set of tools that allow me to easily compare branches (some how like winmerge - Display two version in parallel and highlight the changes), and running on Mac.

  • How do I remove sensitive files from git's history

    I would like to put a git project ( Rails app ) on github, but it contains certian files with sensitive data ( usernames and passwords, like /config/deploy.rb for capistrano ). I know I can add these filenames to .gitignore, but this would not remove the their history within git. I also don't want to start over again by deleting the /.git directory. Is there a way to remove all traces of a particular file in your git history?

However, when I try to build the sample application (labrepl) I get a bunch of errors and a failed build.   • Is there a way to change the console Icon at runtime

    i'm not interested in changing the actual icon in the EXE that shows up in windows explorer, but just the icon that shows up in the top left of the console window. Already i set the icon in the visual studio project and i'm getting it nicely in windows explorer, and also that icon is showing up in the console window, i just want to be able to change it in the console windows at runtime. I.e lets say i wanted to put an icon that shows there are new emails or something.

  • Detect if a hudson build is manually or schedule (periodically) invoked

    Ive set up deployment in hudson. SVN Build copy to production. I need to set up a schedule build to test for build error which is running every hour or so. What i dont want is the schedules builds to deploy to production. Is it posible to detect, in nant, if the current build is a scheduled build or a manually started build. Or should i create a seperate project for the schedule build?
