    The usual way to call a shell command from java is something like that: Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command); and works usually fine. But now I've exported my project to an executable jar file and callig shell commands doesn't work any more. Are there any explanations, solutions or workarounds for this problem? phineas -- edit: even keyboard interrupts (ctrl+c; ctrl+d) aren't recognized. terminal input won't work after killing java

However, I don't have Test Settings as an option in my Installed Templates (nor does searching for them online turn up any results). My first instincts for doing the same would be to create two apps with the same package name so that installing one overwrites the other, but apps in the Market must be unique by package name. What are some patterns and best practices for sharing code and resources for free and paid versions of the same app and any naming conventions or project structures that work for this scenario as well?

  • Refresh SWC in FlexBuilder after publishing

    I am using a SWC that was published from Flash CS3 in an Actionscript project in FlexBuider. The problem is that every time I make a change and re-publish the SWC the changes I made are not immediately recognized back in FlexBuilder. In order to have newly published SWC recognized I have to remove the reference to the SWC from the library path and then add it back again. This is tedious. Is there a better way?

    I want to implement a UAC prompt for an application in visualc++ the operating system is 32bit x7460(2processor) Windowsserver 2008 the exe is myproject.exe through manifest.. Here for testing i wl build the application in Windows XP OS and copy the exe in to system containg the Windowsserver 2008 machine and replace it So what i did is i added a manifest like this name of that is myproject.exe.manifest My project has 3 folders like Headerfile,Resourcefile and Source file.I added this manifest(myproject.exe.manifest) in the Sourcefile folder containing other cpp and c code <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?> <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0"> <assemblyIdentity version="4.0" processorArchitecture="X7460" name="myproject" type="win32"/> <description>myproject Problem</description> <!-- Identify the application security requirements. --> <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2"> <security> <requestedPrivileges> <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministrator" uiAccess="false"/> </requestedPrivileges> </security> </trustInfo> </assembly> then i added this line of code in Resourcefile(.rc).Means one header file is there(Myproject.h).I added the line of code there #define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" Finally i did the following step Under Project, select Properties. 3. In Properties, select Manifest Tool, and then select Input and Output. 4. Add in the name of your application manifest file under Additional manifest files. 5. Rebuild your application. But i am getting lot of Syntax errors Is there any problems in the way which i followed.If i commented the line #define MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID 1 MANIFEST_RESOURCE_ID RT_MANIFEST "myproject.exe.manifest" which added in Myproject.h for adding values in .rc file there willnot any error other than this general error c1010070: Failed to load and parse the manifest. The system cannot find the file specified. .\myproject.exe.manifest How to enable UAC prompt through programming

    I need to be able to display a money field as $XX,XXX.XX, but without converting to varchar using total_eval = '$' + CONVERT(varchar(19),total_eval.opvValueMoney,1) My project uses sorting of the information after I pull this to sort the column and it doesn't sort correctly when the column is a varchar.     What is the most painful programming mistake you have done and what lesson you have learn after? I guess mine was making a release to production on the development code which was not tested yet. The lesson-learned: Delete any projects that can trigger a release on the live application from CCTray. I only add them when a release to production is necessary since then. And once I am done, I delete them from my project lists.
