  • .NET - Is it possible to proxy a HTTPS request using HttpListener & HttpWebRequest? (or is it not p

    - by Greg
Hi, Question - Is it possible to proxy a HTTPS request using HttpListener & HttpWebRequest? (or is it not possbile due to the encryption?) I have got a .NET proxy working by using HttpListener & HttpWebRequest using the approach here. I'm trying to extend this at the moment to listen for HTTPS too (refer this question) however I'm wondering if I'm trying to tackle something that is not possible...That is if this code works by listening for the HTTPS request (using HttpListener) and then copying headers & content across to a new HttpWebRequest, is this flawed as it may not be able to decrypt the request to get the content? But then normal proxy servers obviously can proxy HTTPS, so I guess perhaps it will work because it will just copy across the encrypted content?

  • How to make a POST request with python-webkit?

    - by shakaran
Hi, I new using python + webkit. I need make a POST request with webkit, but I dont know how to it. I use python-webkit because my app load a form on the GUI (for vote, comments and send more data) and I need post all these data with a POST request and load the html result send for the server to my GUI app with python-webkit. I have only this example with urllib: #!/usr/bin/python import urllib2, urllib import httplib server = 'server.somesite.com' data = {'name' : 'shakaran', 'password' : 'Only_I_know'} d = urllib.urlencode(data) headers = {"Content-type": "application/x-www-form- urlencoded", "Accept": "text/plain"} conn = httplib.HTTPConnection(server) conn.request("POST", "/login.php", d, headers) response = conn.getresponse() if response.status == 200: print response.status, response.reason print response.getheaders() data = response.read() print data conn.close() I need a simple example with webkit. I look in the documentation for Webkit.HTTPRequest http://www.webwareforpython.org/WebKit/Docs/Source/Docs/WebKit.HTTPRequest.html I try with webkit.NetworkRequest() but I don't know how to it. Some help? Thanks

  • Is it possible to tell IIS 7 to process the request queue in parallel?

    - by Uwe Keim
Currently we are developing an ASMX, ASP 2.0, IIS 7 web service that does some calculations (and return a dynamically generated document) and will take approx. 60 seconds to run. Since whe have a big machine with multiple cores and lots of RAM, I expected that IIS tries its best to route the requests that arrive in its requests queue to all available threads of the app pool's thread pool. But we experience quiet the opposite: When we issue requests to the ASMX web service URL from multiple different clients, the IIS seems to serially process these requests. I.e. request 1 arrives, is being processed, then request 2 is being processed, then request 3, etc. Question: Is it possible (without changing the C# code of the web service) to configure IIS to process requests in parallel, if enough threads are available? If yes: how should I do it? It no: any workarounds/tips? Thanks Uwe

  • How can I request local pages in the background of an ASP.NET MVC app?

    - by flipdoubt
My ASP.NET MVC app needs to run a set of tasks at startup and in the background at a regular interval. I have implemented each task as a controller action and listed the app-relative path to the action in the database. I implemented a TaskRunner process that gets the urls from the database and requests each one at a regular interval using WebRequest.Create, but this throws a UriFormatException. I cannot use this answer or any code that plucks values from HttpContext.Current.Request without getting an HttpException with the message "Request is not available in this context". The Request object is not available because my code uses System.Threading.Timer to do background processing, as recommended here. Here are my questions: Is there really no way to make local web requests within an ASP.NET web app? Is there really no way to dynamically ascertain the root path to the web app even using static dependencies in ASP.NET? I was trying to avoid storing the app's root path in the database (as FogBugz does with its "Maintenance Path"), but is this best option?

  • What is the proper way to handle a fully qualified domain in a GET request?

    - by Mark P Neyer
I'm writing a proxy server. When I use curl to fetch a page, say http://www.foo.com/pants, curl makes the following request: GET /pants HTTP/1.1 When I have curl send that request through my local proxy, curl changes the GET request to: GET http://www.foo.com/pants HTTP/1.1 This change causes the foo.com server return a 404. Is foo.com broken? Or is the fully qualified domain name only meaningful to proxy servers? Should I always strip http://domain from the requests I send out? Thanks!

  • PHP - How to determine if request is coming from a specific file.

    - by John
I have fileA.php on SERVER_A and fileB.php on SERVER_B fileB.php makes a curl request to fileA.php for it's contents How can fileA.php determine that the request is coming specifically from fileB.php? -- I was thinking about sending the $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] in fileB.php to fileA.php but since someone can go into fileB.php or any file in general and just do $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'] = 'fileB.php'; it's not really that secure. So how can I determine, for security reasons, that the request is coming from a specific file on a different server?

  • Using jQuery, how do I way attach a string array as a http parameter to a http request?

    - by predhme
I have a spring controller with a request mapping as follows @RequestMapping("/downloadSelected") public void downloadSelected(@RequestParam String[] ids) { // retrieve the file and write it to the http response outputstream } I have an html table of objects which for every row has a checkbox with the id of the object as the value. When they submit, I have a jQuery callback to serialize all ids. I want to stick those ids into an http request parameter called, "ids" so that I can grab them easily. I figured I could do the following var ids = $("#downloadall").serializeArray(); Then I would need to take each of the ids and add them to a request param called ids. But is there a "standard" way to do this? Like using jQuery?

  • Can I have sinatra not read the entire request body into memory?

    - by Chris Markle
Say I have a sinatra route ala: put '/data' do request.body.read [...] end It appears that the entire request.body is read into memory. Is there a way to consume the body as it comes into the system, rather than having it all buffered in Rack/sinatra beforehand? I see I can do this to read the body in parts, but the entire body still seems to be read into memory beforehand. put '/data' do while request.body.read(1024) != nil [...] end [...] end

  • Duplicate GET request from multiple IPs - can anyone explain this?

    - by dwq
    We've seen a pattern in our webserver access logs which we're having problem explaining. A GET request appears in the access log which is a legitimate, but private, url as part of normal e-commerce website use (by private, we mean there is a unique key in a url form variable generated specifically for that customer session). Then a few seconds later we get hit with an identical request maybe 10-15 times within the space of a second. The duplicate requests are all from different IP addresses. The UserAgent for the duplicates are all the same (but different from the original request). The reverse DNS lookup on the IPs for all the duplicates requests resolve to the same large hosting company. Can anyone think of a scenario what would explain this? EDIT 1 Here's an example that's probably anonymised beyond being any actual use, but it might give an idea of the sort of pattern we're seeing (it's from a search query as they sometimes get duplicated too): xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:42:57 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "http://www.ourdomain.com/index.html" "Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 10.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/6.0)" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:03 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:03 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" xx.xx.xx.xx - - [21/Jun/2013:21:43:04 +0100] "GET /search.html?search=widget&Submit=Search HTTP/1.0" 200 5475 "" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_7) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/12.0.742.91 Safari/534.30" UPDATE 2 Sometimes it is part of a checkout flow that's duplicated to I'd think twitter is unlikely.

  • Compiling examples for consuming the REST Endpoints for WCF Service using Agatha

    - by REA_ANDREW
    I recently made two contributions to the Agatha Project by Davy Brion over on Google Code, and one of the things I wanted to follow up with was a post showing examples and some, seemingly required tid bits.  The contributions which I made where: To support StructureMap To include REST (JSON and XML) support for the service contract The examples which I have made, I want to format them so they fit in with the current format of examples over on Agatha and hopefully create and submit a third patch which will include these examples to help others who wish to use these additions. Whilst building these examples for both XML and JSON I have learnt a couple of things which I feel are not really well documented, but are extremely good practice and once known make perfect sense.  I have chosen a real basic e-commerce context for my example Requests and Responses, and have also made use of the excellent tool AutoMapper, again on Google Code. Setting the scene I have followed the Pipes and Filters Pattern with the IQueryable interface on my Repository and exposed the following methods to query Products: IQueryable<Product> GetProducts(); IQueryable<Product> ByCategoryName(this IQueryable<Product> products, string categoryName) Product ByProductCode(this IQueryable<Product> products, String productCode) I have an interface for the IProductRepository but for the concrete implementation I have simply created a protected getter which populates a private List<Product> with 100 test products with random data.  Another good reason for following an interface based approach is that it will demonstrate usage of my first contribution which is the StructureMap support.  Finally the two Domain Objects I have made are Product and Category as shown below: public class Product { public String ProductCode { get; set; } public String Name { get; set; } public Decimal Price { get; set; } public Decimal Rrp { get; set; } public Category Category { get; set; } }   public class Category { public String Name { get; set; } }   Requirements for the REST Support One of the things which you will notice with Agatha is that you do not have to decorate your Request and Response objects with the WCF Service Model Attributes like DataContract, DataMember etc… Unfortunately from what I have seen, these are required if you want the same types to work with your REST endpoint.  I have not tried but I assume the same result can be achieved by simply decorating the same classes with the Serializable Attribute.  Without this the operation will fail. Another surprising thing I have found is that it did not work until I used the following Attribute parameters: Name Namespace e.g. [DataContract(Name = "GetProductsRequest", Namespace = "AgathaRestExample.Service.Requests")] public class GetProductsRequest : Request { }   Although I was surprised by this, things kind of explained themselves when I got round to figuring out the exact construct required for both the XML and the REST.  One of the things which you already know and are then reminded of is that each of your Requests and Responses ultimately inherit from an abstract base class respectively. This information needs to be represented in a way native to the format being used.  I have seen this in XML but I have not seen the format which is required for the JSON. JSON Consumer Example I have used JQuery to create the example and I simply want to make two requests to the server which as you will know with Agatha are transmitted inside an array to reduce the service calls.  I have also used a tool called json2 which is again over at Google Code simply to convert my JSON expression into its string format for transmission.  You will notice that I specify the type of Request I am using and the relevant Namespace it belongs to.  Also notice that the second request has a parameter so each of these two object are representing an abstract Request and the parameters of the object describe it. <script type="text/javascript"> var bodyContent = $.ajax({ url: "http://localhost:50348/service.svc/json/processjsonrequests", global: false, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", type: "POST", processData: true, data: JSON.stringify([ { __type: "GetProductsRequest:AgathaRestExample.Service.Requests" }, { __type: "GetProductsByCategoryRequest:AgathaRestExample.Service.Requests", CategoryName: "Category1" } ]), dataType: "json", success: function(msg) { alert(msg); } }).responseText; </script>   XML Consumer Example For the XML Consumer example I have chosen to use a simple Console Application and make a WebRequest to the service using the XML as a request.  I have made a crude static method which simply reads from an XML File, replaces some value with a parameter and returns the formatted XML.  I say crude but it simply shows how XML Templates for each type of Request could be made and then have a wrapper utility in whatever language you use to combine the requests which are required.  The following XML is the same Request array as shown above but simply in the XML Format. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <ArrayOfRequest xmlns="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/Agatha.Common" xmlns:i="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <Request i:type="a:GetProductsRequest" xmlns:a="AgathaRestExample.Service.Requests"/> <Request i:type="a:GetProductsByCategoryRequest" xmlns:a="AgathaRestExample.Service.Requests"> <a:CategoryName>{CategoryName}</a:CategoryName> </Request> </ArrayOfRequest>   It is funny because I remember submitting a question to StackOverflow asking whether there was a REST Client Generation tool similar to what Microsoft used for their RestStarterKit but which could be applied to existing services which have REST endpoints attached.  I could not find any but this is now definitely something which I am going to build, as I think it is extremely useful to have but also it should not be too difficult based on the information I now know about the above.  Finally I thought that the Strategy Pattern would lend itself really well to this type of thing so it can accommodate for different languages. I think that is about it, I have included the code for the example Console app which I made below incase anyone wants to have a mooch at the code.  As I said above I want to reformat these to fit in with the current examples over on the Agatha project, but also now thinking about it, make a Documentation Web method…{brain ticking} :-) Cheers for now and here is the final bit of code: static void Main(string[] args) { var request = WebRequest.Create("http://localhost:50348/service.svc/xml/processxmlrequests"); request.Method = "POST"; request.ContentType = "text/xml"; using(var writer = new StreamWriter(request.GetRequestStream())) { writer.WriteLine(GetExampleRequestsString("Category1")); } var response = request.GetResponse(); using(var reader = new StreamReader(response.GetResponseStream())) { Console.WriteLine(reader.ReadToEnd()); } Console.ReadLine(); } static string GetExampleRequestsString(string categoryName) { var data = File.ReadAllText(Path.Combine(Path.GetDirectoryName(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().Location), "ExampleRequests.xml")); data = data.Replace("{CategoryName}", categoryName); return data; } }

  • How to Upload a file from client to server using OFBIZ?

    - by SIVAKUMAR.J
    I'm new to ofbiz so try to keep your answer as simple as possibly. If you can give examples that would be kind. My problem is I created a project inside the ofbiz/hot-deploy folder namely productionmgntSystem. Inside the folder ofbiz\hot-deploy\productionmgntSystem\webapp\productionmgntSystem I created a file app_details_1.ftl. The following are the code of this file <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <title>Insert title here</title> <script TYPE="TEXT/JAVASCRIPT" language=""JAVASCRIPT"> function uploadFile() { //alert("Before calling upload.jsp"); window.location='<@ofbizUrl>testing_service1</@ofbizUrl>' } </script> </head> <!-- <form action="<@ofbizUrl>testing_service1</@ofbizUrl>" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="app_details_frm"> --> <form action="<@ofbizUrl>logout1</@ofbizUrl>" enctype="multipart/form-data" name="app_details_frm"> <center style="height: 299px; "> <table border="0" style="height: 177px; width: 788px"> <tr style="height: 115px; "> <td style="width: 103px; "> <td style="width: 413px; "><h1>APPLICATION DETAILS</h1> <td style="width: 55px; "> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 125px; ">Application name : </td> <td> <input name="app_name_txt" id="txt_1" value=" " /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 125px; ">Excell sheet &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;: </td> <td> <input type="file" name="filename"/> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <!-- <input type="button" name="logout1_cmd" value="Logout" onclick="logout1()"/> --> <input type="submit" name="logout_cmd" value="logout"/> </td> <td> <!-- <input type="submit" name="upload_cmd" value="Submit" /> --> <input type="button" name="upload1_cmd" value="Upload" onclick="uploadFile()"/> </td> </tr> </table> </center> </form> </html> the following coding is present in the file ofbiz\hot-deploy\productionmgntSystem\webapp\productionmgntSystem\WEB-INF\controller.xml ...... ....... ........ <request-map uri="testing_service1"> <security https="true" auth="true"/> <event type="java" path="org.ofbiz.productionmgntSystem.web_app_req.WebServices1" invoke="testingService"/> <response name="ok" type="view" value="ok_view"/> <response name="exception" type="view" value="exception_view"/> </request-map> .......... ............ .......... <view-map name="ok_view" type="ftl" page="ok_view.ftl"/> <view-map name="exception_view" type="ftl" page="exception_view.ftl"/> ................ ............. ............. For example, my .htaccess file attempts to ensure /sign-in is always served over HTTPS: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /sign-in RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,QSA,R=301] However when I make a request to /sign-in on the domain site2-local , I get the error "The page isn't redirecting properly" with the following in /var/log/apache2/error.log [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] [client 127.0.1.1] Connection to child 0 established (server site1-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Seeding PRNG with 656 bytes of entropy [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Initial (No.1) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.2) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.3) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.4) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.5) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.6) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.7) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.8) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.9) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:20:57 2010] [info] Subsequent (No.10) HTTPS request received for child 0 (server site2-local:443) [Tue Jun 08 12:21:12 2010] [info] [client 127.0.1.1] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: SSL input filter read failed.   • DNS request times out then succeeds on my local network. Why?

    - by Dan
I have a W2K3 Server that is the Domain Controller and also the DNS server. I wanted to make another DNS zone on my network called "something.local" and then make 'A' records to point requests like 'admin.something.local' and 'www.something.local' to machines on my network. I keep getting DNS timeouts but then after 2 tries it succeeds. Why would this happen? How can I troubleshoot? From my desktop I run: nslookup admin.something.local and get: Server: server.domain.com.au.local Address: 192.168.0.10 DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds. DNS request timed out. timeout was 2 seconds. Name: admin.something.local Address: 192.168.0.191 If I go back the other way: nslookup 192.168.0.191 I get: Server: server.domain.com.au.local Address: 192.168.0.10 Name: admin.something.local Address: 192.168.0.191 My DNS server address is 192.168.0.10. The new DNS zone is not hooked up to active directory. I do not have much experience with DNS. Yesterday it was working fine. I have tried doing an 'ipconfig /flushdns' on both my desktop and the DNS server

  • Why does my computer not always automatically request a new DHCP lease when switching networks?

    - by KingJ
I've noticed an interesting problem recently where my laptop will not automatically refresh my DHCP lease when changing between wireless networks. Instead, it will attempt to use the existing lease for the new network. Of course, since each network has different settings any connections will fail when using the old lease. While Windows will eventually request a new DHCP lease, it's often much faster for me to release the old lease and request a new, correct, lease. It puzzles me as to why this is not automatically done when associating to the network? One possible cause is that the laptop is put to sleep while connected to one network, then woken when in range of the other network. Nevertheless, I would expect that the lease would be renewed when the laptop associates to the other network rather than attempting to use the old lease. It should be noted that the two networks are completely different, both in terms of size, number of APs, network settings, SSIDs etc. One network is my home network and the other one is the campus-wide network at my University.

  • Use LINQ to group a sequence by date with no gaps

    - by Codesleuth
I'm trying to select a subgroup of a list where items have contiguous dates, e.g. ID StaffID Type Title ActivityDate -- ------- ---- ----------------- ------------ 1 41 1 Doctors 07/06/2010 2 41 0 Meeting with John 08/06/2010 3 41 0 Meeting Continues 09/06/2010 4 41 0 Meeting Continues 10/06/2010 5 41 3 Annual Leave 11/06/2010 6 41 0 Meeting Continues 14/06/2010 I'm using a pivot point each time, so take the example pivot item as 3, I'd like to get the following resulting contiguous events around the pivot: ID StaffID Type Title ActivityDate -- ------- ---- ----------------- ------------ 2 41 0 Meeting with John 08/06/2010 3 41 0 Meeting Continues 09/06/2010 4 41 0 Meeting Continues 10/06/2010 My current implementation is a laborious "walk" into the past, then into the future, to build the list: var orderedEvents = activities.OrderBy(a => a.ActivityDate).ToArray(); // Walk into the past until a gap is found var preceedingEvents = orderedEvents.TakeWhile(a => a.ID != activity.ID); DateTime dayBefore; var previousEvent = activity; while (previousEvent != null) { dayBefore = previousEvent.ActivityDate.AddDays(-1).Date; previousEvent = preceedingEvents.TakeWhile(a => a.ID != previousEvent.ID).LastOrDefault(); if (previousEvent != null) { if (previousEvent.ActivityDate.Date == dayBefore) relatedActivities.Insert(0, previousEvent); else previousEvent = null; } } // Walk into the future until a gap is found var followingEvents = orderedEvents.SkipWhile(a => a.ID != activity.ID); DateTime dayAfter; var nextEvent = activity; while (nextEvent != null) { dayAfter = nextEvent.ActivityDate.AddDays(1).Date; nextEvent = followingEvents.SkipWhile(a => a.ID != nextEvent.ID).Skip(1).FirstOrDefault(); if (nextEvent != null) { if (nextEvent.ActivityDate.Date == dayAfter) relatedActivities.Add(nextEvent); else nextEvent = null; } } The list relatedActivities should then contain the contiguous events, in order. Is there a better way (maybe using LINQ) for this? I had an idea of using .Aggregate() but couldn't think how to get the aggregate to break out when it finds a gap in the sequence.

  • Rails active record association problem

    - by Harm de Wit
Hello, I'm new at active record association in rails so i don't know how to solve the following problem: I have a tables called 'meetings' and 'users'. I have correctly associated these two together by making a table 'participants' and set the following association statements: class Meeting < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :participants, :dependent => :destroy has_many :users, :through => :participants and class Participant < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :meeting belongs_to :user and the last model class User < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :participants, :dependent => :destroy At this point all is going well and i can access the user values of attending participants of a specific meeting by calling @meeting.users in the normal meetingshow.html.erb view. Now i want to make connections between these participants. Therefore i made a model called 'connections' and created the columns of 'meeting_id', 'user_id' and 'connected_user_id'. So these connections are kinda like friendships within a certain meeting. My question is: How can i set the model associations so i can easily control these connections? I would like to see a solution where i could use @meeting.users.each do |user| user.connections.each do |c| <do something> end end I tried this by changing the model of meetings to this: class Meeting < ActiveRecord::Base has_many :participants, :dependent => :destroy has_many :users, :through => :participants has_many :connections, :dependent => :destroy has_many :participating_user_connections, :through => :connections, :source => :user Please, does anyone have a solution/tip how to solve this the rails way?

  • Adding delegate with calendar access using Exchange Web Services?

    - by BryanG
I have a set up where I need to add a delegate to various user calendars programmatically. Using a sample from MDSN, I've gotten as far as trying to add the delegate, but after the call to the service binding, I get nothing back...no success or fail....nothing. How I create the service binidng: // Initialize the service binding serviceBinding = new ExchangeServiceBinding(); serviceBinding.Credentials = new NetworkCredential(Properties.Settings.Default.UserName, Properties.Settings.Default.Password, Properties.Settings.Default.Domain); // A production application should call the autodiscover service to locate the service binding url serviceBinding.Url = Properties.Settings.Default.EWSUrlEndPoint; serviceBinding.RequestServerVersionValue = new RequestServerVersion(); serviceBinding.RequestServerVersionValue.Version = ExchangeVersionType.Exchange2007_SP1; serviceBinding.AllowAutoRedirect = true; and the delegate addition: static void AddDelegate(string email) { // Create the request. AddDelegateType request = new AddDelegateType(); // Identify the agent's mailbox. request.Mailbox = new EmailAddressType(); request.Mailbox.EmailAddress = email; // add the exch_integration user as a delegate request.DelegateUsers = new DelegateUserType[1]; request.DelegateUsers[0] = new DelegateUserType(); request.DelegateUsers[0].UserId = new UserIdType(); request.DelegateUsers[0].UserId.PrimarySmtpAddress = "[email protected]"; // Specify the permissions that are granted to exch_integration request.DelegateUsers[0].DelegatePermissions = new DelegatePermissionsType(); request.DelegateUsers[0].DelegatePermissions.CalendarFolderPermissionLevel = DelegateFolderPermissionLevelType.Author; request.DelegateUsers[0].DelegatePermissions.CalendarFolderPermissionLevelSpecified = true; // Specify whether the agent recieves meeting requests. request.DeliverMeetingRequests = DeliverMeetingRequestsType.DelegatesAndSendInformationToMe; request.DeliverMeetingRequestsSpecified = true; try { // Send the request and get the response. AddDelegateResponseMessageType response = serviceBinding.AddDelegate(request); DelegateUserResponseMessageType[] responseMessages = response.ResponseMessages; // One DelegateUserResponseMessageType exists for each attempt to add a delegate user to an account. foreach (DelegateUserResponseMessageType user in responseMessages) { Console.WriteLine("Results of adding user: " + user.ResponseClass.ToString()); Console.WriteLine(user.DelegateUser.UserId.DisplayName); Console.WriteLine(user.DelegateUser.UserId.PrimarySmtpAddress); Console.WriteLine(user.DelegateUser.UserId.SID); } Console.ReadLine(); } catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine(e.Message); Console.ReadLine(); } } The response nothing which must mean that the AddDelegate call isn't hitting the server properly, but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Hello! All of the following objects and their related items will be deleted: Journalist Request: some request Account: some account Journalist Request: some request Account: some account Journalist Request: some request Account: some account Journalist Request: some request Account: some account Journalist Request: some request All accounts are the same one (ids are same), and all requests are the same one, so I think it becaues of a recursion. But I have no idea how to solve this problem in Django 1.1.1! Can you help me?

  • Linux router: ping doesn't route back

    - by El Barto
I have a Debian box which I'm trying to set up as a router and an Ubuntu box which I'm using as a client. My problem is that when the Ubuntu client tries to ping a server on the Internet, all the packets are lost (though, as you can see below, they seem to go to the server and back without problem). I'm doing this in the Ubuntu Box: # ping -I eth1 my.remote-server.com PING my.remote-server.com (X.X.X.X) from 10.1.1.12 eth1: 56(84) bytes of data. ^C --- my.remote-server.com ping statistics --- 13 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 12094ms (I changed the name and IP of the remote server for privacy). From the Debian Router I see this: # tcpdump -i eth1 -qtln icmp tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth1, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65535 bytes IP X.X.X.X > 10.1.1.12: ICMP echo reply, id 305, seq 7, length 64 IP 10.1.1.12 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 305, seq 8, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 10.1.1.12: ICMP echo reply, id 305, seq 8, length 64 IP 10.1.1.12 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 305, seq 9, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 10.1.1.12: ICMP echo reply, id 305, seq 9, length 64 IP 10.1.1.12 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 305, seq 10, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 10.1.1.12: ICMP echo reply, id 305, seq 10, length 64 IP 10.1.1.12 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 305, seq 11, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 10.1.1.12: ICMP echo reply, id 305, seq 11, length 64 ^C 9 packets captured 9 packets received by filter 0 packets dropped by kernel # tcpdump -i eth2 -qtln icmp tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth2, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 65535 bytes IP 192.168.1.10 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 213, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 192.168.1.10: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 213, length 64 IP 192.168.1.10 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 214, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 192.168.1.10: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 214, length 64 IP 192.168.1.10 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 215, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 192.168.1.10: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 215, length 64 IP 192.168.1.10 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 216, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 192.168.1.10: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 216, length 64 IP 192.168.1.10 > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 217, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > 192.168.1.10: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 217, length 64 ^C 10 packets captured 10 packets received by filter 0 packets dropped by kernel And at the remote server I see this: # tcpdump -i eth0 -qtln icmp tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 1, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 1, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 2, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 2, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 3, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 3, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 4, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 4, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 5, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 5, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 6, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 6, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 7, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 7, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 8, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 8, length 64 IP Y.Y.Y.Y > X.X.X.X: ICMP echo request, id 360, seq 9, length 64 IP X.X.X.X > Y.Y.Y.Y: ICMP echo reply, id 360, seq 9, length 64 18 packets captured 228 packets received by filter 92 packets dropped by kernel Here "X.X.X.X" is my remote server's IP and "Y.Y.Y.Y" is my local network's public IP. So, what I understand is that the ping packets are coming out of the Ubuntu box (10.1.1.12), to the router (10.1.1.1), from there to the next router (192.168.1.1) and reaching the remote server (X.X.X.X). Then they come back all the way to the Debian router, but they never reach the Ubuntu box back. What am I missing? • Any ideas on a WCF Interceptor for a REST WebGet request to change the Url/Querystring parameters

    - by REA_ANDREW
Does any one know of a way I can intercept a REST Get request inside WCF, so for example I could change the value of any of the querystring parameters. So I need to have some code run, prior to WCF Evaluating the UriTemplate of the WebGet attribute and be able to edit it, before returning the value which it will use to continue processing the request. Any help would be greatly appreciated Andrew
