  • Adding web reference on client when using Net.TCP

    - by Marko
    Hi everyone... I am trying to using Net.TCP in my WCF Service, which is self hosted, when i try to add this service reference through web reference to my client, i am not able access the classes and methods of that service, can any have any idea to achieve this... How I can add web references in this case. My Service has one method (GetNumber) that returns int. WebService: public class WebService : IWebService { public int GetNumber(int num) { return num + 1; } } Service Contract code: [ServiceContract] public interface IWebService { [OperationContract] int GetNumber(int num); } WCF Service code: ServiceHost host = new ServiceHost(typeof(WebService)); host.AddServiceEndpoint(typeof(IWebService), new NetTcpBinding(), new Uri("net.tcp://" + Dns.GetHostName() + ":1255/WebService")); NetTcpBinding binding = new NetTcpBinding(); binding.TransferMode = TransferMode.Streamed; binding.ReceiveTimeout = TimeSpan.MaxValue; binding.MaxReceivedMessageSize = long.MaxValue; Console.WriteLine("{0}", Dns.GetHostName().ToString()); Console.WriteLine("Opening Web Service..."); host.Open(); Console.WriteLine("Web Service is running on port {0}",1255); Console.WriteLine("Press <ENTER> to EXIT"); Console.ReadLine(); This works fine. Only problem is how to add references of this service in my client application. I just want to send number and to receive an answer. Can anyone help me?

  • C# creating a Class, having objects as member variables? I think the objects are garbage collecte

    - by Bryan
    So I have a class that has the following member variables. I have get and set functions for every piece of data in this class. public class NavigationMesh { public Vector3 node; int weight; bool isWall; bool hasTreasure; public NavigationMesh(int x, int y, int z, bool setWall, bool setTreasure) { //default constructor //Console.WriteLine(x + " " + y + " " + z); node = new Vector3(x, y, z); //Console.WriteLine(node.X + " " + node.Y + " " + node.Z); isWall = setWall; hasTreasure = setTreasure; weight = 1; }// end constructor public float getX() { Console.WriteLine(node.X); return node.X; } public float getY() { Console.WriteLine(node.Y); return node.Y; } public float getZ() { Console.WriteLine(node.Z); return node.Z; } public bool getWall() { return isWall; } public void setWall(bool item) { isWall = item; } public bool getTreasure() { return hasTreasure; } public void setTreasure(bool item) { hasTreasure = item; } public int getWeight() { return weight; } }// end class In another class, I have a 2-Dim array that looks like this NavigationMesh[,] mesh; mesh = new NavigationMesh[502,502]; I use a double for loop to assign this, my problem is I cannot get the data I need out of the Vector3 node object after I create this object in my array with my "getters". I've tried making the Vector3 a static variable, however I think it refers to the last instance of the object. How do I keep all of these object in memory? I think there being garbage collected. Any thoughts?

  • Can I get the original page source (vs current DOM) with phantomjs/casperjs?

    - by supercoco
    I am trying to get the original source for a particular web page. The page executes some scripts that modify the DOM as soon as it loads. I would like to get the source before any script or user changes any object in the document. With Chrome or Firefox (and probably most browsers) I can either look at the DOM (debug utility F12) or look at the original source (right-click, view source). The latter is what I want to accomplish. Is it possible to do this with phantomjs/casperjs? Before getting to the page I have to log in. This is working fine with casperjs. If I browse to the page and render the results I know I am on the right page. casper.thenOpen('http://'+customUrl, function(response) { this.page.render('example.png'); // *** Renders correct page (current DOM) *** console.log(this.page.content); // *** Gets current DOM *** casper.download('view-source:'+customUrl, 'b.html', 'GET'); // *** Blank page *** console.log(this.getHTML()); // *** Gets current DOM *** this.debugPage(); // *** Gets current DOM *** utils.dump(response); // *** No BODY *** casper.download('http://'+customUrl, 'a.html', 'GET'); // *** Not logged in ?! *** }); I've tried this.download(url, 'a.html') but it doesn't seem to share the same context since it returns HTML as if I was not logged in, even if I run with cookies casperjs test.casper.js --cookies-file=cookies.txt. I believe I should keep analyzing this option. I have also tried casper.open('view-source:url') instead of casper.open('http://url') but it seems it doesn't recognize the url since I just get a blank page. I have looked at the raw HTTP Response I get from the server with a utility I have and the body of this message (which is HTML) is what I need but when the page loads in the browser the DOM has already been modified. I tried: casper.thenOpen('http://'+url, function(response) { ... } But the response object only contains the headers and some other information but not the body. ¿Any ideas? Here is the full code: phantom.casperTest = true; phantom.cookiesEnabled = true; var utils = require('utils'); var casper = require('casper').create({ clientScripts: [], pageSettings: { loadImages: false, loadPlugins: false, javascriptEnabled: true, webSecurityEnabled: false }, logLevel: "error", verbose: true }); casper.userAgent('Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X)'); casper.start('http://www.xxxxxxx.xxx/login'); casper.waitForSelector('input#login', function() { this.evaluate(function(customLogin, customPassword) { document.getElementById("login").value = customLogin; document.getElementById("password").value = customPassword; document.getElementById("button").click(); }, { "customLogin": customLogin, "customPassword": customPassword }); }, function() { console.log('Can't login.'); }, 15000 ); casper.waitForSelector('div#home', function() { console.log('Login successfull.'); }, function() { console.log('Login failed.'); }, 15000 ); casper.thenOpen('http://'+customUrl, function(response) { this.page.render('example.png'); // *** Renders correct page (current DOM) *** console.log(this.page.content); // *** Gets current DOM *** casper.download('view-source:'+customUrl, 'b.html', 'GET'); // *** Blank page *** console.log(this.getHTML()); // *** Gets current DOM *** this.debugPage(); // *** Gets current DOM *** utils.dump(response); // *** No BODY *** casper.download('http://'+customUrl, 'a.html', 'GET'); // *** Not logged in ?! *** });

  • Backbone.js Collection Iteration Using .each()

    - by the_archer
    I've been doing some Backbone.js coding and have come across a particular problem where I am having trouble iterating over the contents of a collection. The line Tasker_TodoList.each(this.addOne, this);in the addAll function in AppView is not executing properly for some reason, throwing the error: Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function the code in question is: $(function() { var Todo = Backbone.Model.extend({ defaults: { title: "Some Title...", status: 0 //not completed } }); var TodoList = Backbone.Collection.extend({ model: Todo, localStorage: new Store('tasker') }); var Tasker_TodoList = new TodoList(); var TodoView = Backbone.View.extend({ tagName: 'li', template: _.template($('#todoTemplate').html()), events: { 'click .delbtn': 'delTodo' }, initialize: function(){ console.log("a new todo initialized"); //this.model.on('change', this.render, this); }, render: function(){ this.$el.html(this.template(this.model.toJSON())); return this; }, delTodo: function(){ console.log("deleted todo"); } }); var AppView = Backbone.View.extend({ el: 'body', events: { 'click #addBtn': 'createOnClick' }, initialize: function(){ Tasker_TodoList.fetch(); Tasker_TodoList.on('add', this.addAll); console.log(Tasker_TodoList); }, addAll: function(){ $('#tasksList').html(''); console.log("boooooooma"); Tasker_TodoList.each(this.addOne, this); }, addOne: function(todo){ console.log(todo); }, createOnClick: function(){ Tasker_TodoList.create(); } }); var Tasker = new AppView(); }); can somebody help me in finding out what I am doing wrong? Thank you all for your help :-)

  • C2360 compiler error on TFS build, but not on desktop

    - by pdmaguire
    A c++ code snippet similar to the code below caused our TFS build to fail with a C2360 compiler error. switch (i) { case 0 : for each (int n in a) System::Console::WriteLine(n.ToString()); break; case 1 : System::Console::WriteLine("n is not in scope here"); break; } This is fixed by using {} brackets within the body of case 0, as below: switch (i) { case 0 : { for each (int n in a) System::Console::WriteLine(n.ToString()); } break; case 1 : System::Console::WriteLine("n is not in scope here"); break; } The developer had successfully compiled the code on their desktop before committing the changes. A cursory look at versions of things like compilers, Visual Studio etc on the server and desktop suggest they are the same. The source code is the same, obviously. What is the difference between a desktop build and TFS build that would smother a compiler error like this?

  • Firebug profiling issue: "no activity to profile"

    - by thermal7
    I want to try some different options with some javascript (jQuery) to see which is the fastest, however I can't get profiling working properly. Here is the code I want to test. $this.keypress(function(e) { console.profile("test"); //retrieve the charcode if possible, otherwise get the keycode k = e.which ? e.which : e.CharCode; if (blockKeyCodes.indexOf("|" + k + "|") != -1 || e.ctrlKey && k == 86) e.preventDefault(); console.profileEnd(); }); However, when I run this the console states "no activity to profile". If I use console.time the result is 0ms. Anyone know how to fix this?

  • C# dealing with invalid user input

    - by Zka
    Have a simple console app where user is asked for several values to input. Input is read via console.readline(). Ex Name: Fred //string Lastname: Ashcloud //string Age: 28 //int I would like to make sure that int and double types are entered and if the user enters garbage, lets him repeat the procedure. Example, if the user enters "28 years old" where age expects int the app will crash. What is the best way to check for these inputs? Right now I can only think of: while (!Int32.TryParse(text, out number)) { Console.WriteLine("Error write only numbers"); text = Console.ReadLine(); } Is there any other way to do this? try catch statements if one wants to give a more detailed feedback to the user? How in that case?

  • JavaScript: How to create a new instance of a class without using the new keyword?

    - by Alessandro Vernet
    I think the following code will make the question clear. // My class var Class = function() { console.log("Constructor"); }; Class.prototype = { method: function() { console.log("Method");} } // Creating an instance with new var object1 = new Class(); object1.method(); console.log("New returned", object1); // How to write a factory which can't use the new keyword? function factory(clazz) { // Assume this function can't see "Class", but only sees its parameter "clazz". return clazz.call(); // Calls the constructor, but no new object is created return clazz.new(); // Doesn't work because there is new() method }; var object2 = factory(Class); object2.method(); console.log("Factory returned", object2);

    - by user300484
    Hi! Im creating an application on C#. Its function is to evualuate if a given is prime and if the same swapped number is prime as well. When I build my solution on Visual Studio, it says that "an object reference is required for the non-static field, method or property...". Im having this problem with the "volteado" and "siprimo" methods. Can you tell me where is the problem and how i can fix it? thank you! namespace ConsoleApplication1 { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { Console.Write("Write a number: "); long a= Convert.ToInt64(Console.ReadLine()); // a is the number given by the user long av = volteado(a); // av is "a" but swapped if (siprimo(a) == false && siprimo(av) == false) Console.WriteLine("Both original and swapped numbers are prime."); else Console.WriteLine("One of the numbers isnt prime."); Console.ReadLine(); } private bool siprimo(long a) {// evaluate if the received number is prime bool sp = true; for (long k = 2; k <= a / 2; k++) if (a % k == 0) sp = false; return sp; } private long volteado(long a) {// swap the received number long v = 0; while (a > 0) { v = 10 * v + a % 10; a /= 10; } return v; } } }

I am using the function "getDays()" to get the available days list and stored the data inside daysWithRecords, and final the UI datepicker's function "beforeShowDay()" called the function "checkAvailability()" to set the days. the variable "daysWithRecords" was declared inside Igtomw = function(elem , options) and was initialized inside the function getDays() I am using the function "initialWatchHistory()" to initialization and render the JQuery UI datepicker in the web. My problem is the function "checkAvailability()" cannot see the variable "daysWithRecords".The firebug prompts me that "daysWithRecords" is "undefined". this is the first time I write my first plugin. So .... Thank you very much for any help!!

  • Find the closest palindrome number C#

    - by user294837
    Hi All, I am trying to create a console application that reads number from a file all underneath each other like so: 101 9 and then outputs into another file the closest palindrome number. So far what I have is not quite rightm i.e. I don't think I can put the class inside a method which is a bit more Java I was wandering if anyone could help at all? Thanks :) namespace PalidromeC { class Program { static public void Main(string[] args) { #region WriteAnswers try { StreamWriter sw = new StreamWriter("C://Temp/PalindromeAnswers.txt"); sw.WriteLine("Answers"); sw.Close(); }//try catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine("Exception: " + e.Message); }//catch #endregion #region ReadFile try { string numbers; StreamReader sr = new StreamReader("C://Temp/Palindrome.txt"); numbers = sr.ReadLine(); while (numbers != null) { Console.WriteLine(numbers); numbers = sr.ReadLine(); }//while sr.Close(); Console.ReadLine(); }//try catch (Exception e) { Console.WriteLine("Exception: " + e.Message); }//catch #endregion NearPalindromeFinder f = new NearPalindromeFinder(); int palindrome = f.findNearPalindrome(n); Console.WriteLine("Nearest Palindrome = " + palindrome); }//main public static void testFindNearestPalindrome(int n) { class NearPalindromeFinder { int findNearPalindrome(int start) { if (testPalindrome(start)) return start; else { int neg = start; int pos = start; for (int i = 0; i < start; i++) { if (testPalindrome(start-i)) { neg = start-i; break; }//if if (testPalindrome(start+i)) { pos = start+i; break; }//if }//for return (start == neg) ? pos : neg; }//else }//findNearPalindrome bool testPalindrome(int start) { if (start == 0 || start == 1) return true; String str = String.valueOf(start); String rev = new if (str.equals(rev)) return true; else return false; }//testPalindrome }//NearPalindromeFinder class }//testFindNearestPalindrome }//Program Class

    - by EdC
    I was told I can add the -XX:+HeapDumpOnOutOfMemoryError parameter to my JVM start up options to my JBoss start up script to get a heap dump when we get an out of memory error in our application. I was wondering where this data gets dumped? Is it just to the console, or to some log file? If it's just to the console, what if I'm not logged into the unix server through the console? Thanks

  • Are google chrome extension "content" scripts sandboxed?

    - by jabapyth
    I was under the impression that the content_scripts were executed right on the page, but it now seems as though there's some sandboxing going on. I'm working on an extension to log all XHR traffic of a site (for debugging and other development purposes), and in the console, the following sniff code works: var o = window.XMLHttpRequest.prototype.open; window.XMLHttpRequest.prototype.open = function(){ console.log(arguments, 'open'); return o.apply(this, arguments); }; console.log('myopen'); console.log(window, window.XMLHttpRequest, window.XMLHttpRequest.prototype, o, window.XMLHttpRequest.prototype.open); This logs a message everytime an XHR is sent. When I put this in an extension, however, the real prototype doesn't get modified. Apparently the window.XMLHttpRequest.prototype that my script is seeing differs from that of the actual page. Is there some way around this? Also, is this sandboxing behavior documented anywhere? I looked around, but couldn't find anything.

  • Python debugging in Eclipse+PyDev

    - by Gökhan Sever
    Hello, I try Eclipse+PyDev pair for some of my work. (Eclipse v3.5.0 + PyDev v1.5.6) I couldn't find a way to expose all of my variables to the PyDev console (Through PyDev console - Console for current active editor option) I use a simple code to describe the issue. When I step-by-step go through the code I can't access my "x" variable from the console. It is viewed on Variables tab, but that's not really what I want. Any help is appreciate. See my screenshot for better description:

  • Bubble sort dropped images based on their names

    - by user2259784
    I have written a simple bubble sort function that sort an array of Image objects based on image names. For some reason my function is not swapping the elements of array when needed ( basically new assignment is not working) Here is my code : listOfFiles = event.dataTransfer.files; sortImages(listOfFiles); function sortImages(listOfFiles) { var re = /[0-9]/; var temp; for( var index=0; index < listOfFiles.length ; index++) { for ( var index2=0; index2 < listOfFiles.length-1 ; index2++) { var one = parseFloat(re.exec(listOfFiles[index2].name )); var two = parseFloat(re.exec(listOfFiles[index2+1].name)); console.log(one + " : " + two); if (one > two) { console.log(listOfFiles[index2+1]); console.log(listOfFiles[index2]); //following three lines don't work temp = listOfFiles[index2+1]; listOfFiles[index2+1] = listOfFiles[index2]; listOfFiles[index2] = temp; console.log(listOfFiles[index2+1]); console.log(listOfFiles[index2]); } } } }

  • Assigning a variable of a struct that contains an instance of a class to another variable

    - by xport
    In my understanding, assigning a variable of a struct to another variable of the same type will make a copy. But this rule seems broken as shown on the following figure. Could you explain why this happened? using System; namespace ReferenceInValue { class Inner { public int data; public Inner(int data) { this.data = data; } } struct Outer { public Inner inner; public Outer(int data) { this.inner = new Inner(data); } } class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { Outer p1 = new Outer(1); Outer p2 = p1; Console.WriteLine("p1:{0}, p2:{1}", p1.inner.data, p2.inner.data); p1.inner.data = 2; Console.WriteLine("p1:{0}, p2:{1}", p1.inner.data, p2.inner.data); p2.inner.data = 3; Console.WriteLine("p1:{0}, p2:{1}", p1.inner.data, p2.inner.data); Console.ReadKey(); } } }

  • scrollLeft works but scrollTop doesn't work

    - by Xiao Jia
    I have the following HTML with CSS .container { overflow: scroll; } etc. <body> <div class="container"> <div id="markers"></div> <img id="map" src="/img/map.jpg"/> </div> </body> map.jpg is very large and I want to scroll to a fixed position like this: $(function(){ console.log($('.container').scrollTop()); $('.container').scrollTop(1000); console.log($('.container').scrollTop()); console.log($('.container').scrollLeft()); $('.container').scrollLeft(1750); console.log($('.container').scrollLeft()); }); scrollLeft works fine but scrollTop doesn't. Below is the console output. 0 0 0 1750 I've been searching for half an hour but still don't know how to fix it... UPDATE: CSS about .container #markers and #map .container { overflow: scroll; width: 100%; max-width: 100%; height: 100%; max-height: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; } #map { width: 5000px; max-width: 5000px; height: 2907px; max-height: 2907px; cursor: crosshair; } #markers { position: relative; top: 0; left: 0; width: 0; height: 0; margin: 0; padding: 0; }

  • javascript - rollover effect on overlapping transparent images

    - by user427969
    I want to add rollover effect on overlapping transparent images. For example: The following image is divided into 5 parts and I want to add rollover effect (different image) on each of them When O tried with div or img tag, the image is rendered as a rectangle so rollover effect is not proper. When i rollover on green part between yellow, the yellow image gets highlighted because its z-index is high. Following is the code that I tried: <body> <br /> <img src="part1.png" onclick="console.log('test1');"/> <img src="part2.png" onclick="console.log('test2');" style="position:absolute; left:30px; top: 19px;"/> <img src="part3.png" onclick="console.log('test3');" style="position:absolute; left:70px; top: 15px;"/> <img src="part4.png" onclick="console.log('test4');" style="position:absolute; left:95px; top: 16px;"/> <img src="part5.png" onclick="console.log('test5');" style="position:absolute; left:123px; top: 24px;"/> </body> images = , , , , I don't want to use jQuery, if possible.

    - by user228390
    Hey guys, I'm having problems with my shopping cart. What I am trying to do is make a function that will add an item the cart and then and function that will view the cart and show the details. But what I have got so far does not do that, it just simply adds and goes straight to view cart. Also I wanted to store the name of each items in different global arrays (name, price and sum) but I can't get it work that way. Can any help me overcome this problem? Edit: I've tried to get it to work by adding some more items and attaching it to another html page, but now the code does not seem to work at all , before it showed the price and total and now I get nothing . javascript code function round_total (c) { var pennies = c * 100; pennies = Math.round(pennies); var strPennies = "" + pennies; var len = strPennies.length; return parseFloat(strPennies.substring(0, len - 2) + "." + strPennies.substring(len - 2, len)); } // End of round_total function. /* Start of generate_page function. */ function generate_page (form) { tax = 0.08; delivery_p = 2.99; var odate = new Date(); var qty = form.quantity.value; var product_v = new String(form.product.value); var total_price = product_v.substr(product_v.indexOf("$") + 1, product_v.length - product_v.indexOf("$")); var price_without_tax = round_total(qty * total_price); var ttax = round_total(price_without_tax * tax); var delivery = round_total(qty * delivery_p); var total_p = round_total(price_without_tax + ttax + delivery); document.writeln("Quantity: " + qty + "<br>"); document.writeln("Price: $" + total_price + "<br>"); document.writeln("Delivery: $" + delivery + "<br>"); document.writeln("Total: $" + total_p + "<br>"); document.writeln("Order placed on: " + odate.toGMTString()); } function calculate() { round_total (c)(); generate_page (form)(); } HTML code: Shopping cart Welcome, Guest Login Sign Up Stay Updated: Subscribe via RSS Email Updates <div id="header"> <div id="branding" class="container"> <h1>The Finest Toy<br /> Store Online</h1> <p class="desc">If you're looking for a toy shop then look no further.<br/> Go on, treat the kids with our huge selection of<br/>online toy shops selling toys for all ages.</p> </div><!-- end branding --> <div id="navigation"> <ul id="menu" class="container"> <li><a href="#">HOME</a></li> <li><a href="#">ABOUT</a></li> <li><a href="#">Online Store</a></li> <li><a href="#">CONTACT</a></li> </ul> </div><!-- end navigation --> </div><!-- end header --> Shopping Cart Nintendo DS Xbox Product: Console £149.99 Console + Games £169.99 Quantity: Product: Console £149.99 Console + Games £169.99 Quantity:     Playstation 3 Wii Product: Console £149.99 Console + Games £169.99 Quantity:   Product: Console £149.99 Console + Games £169.99 Quantity:        <input type="submit" value="Add to cart" name="submit" onClick="cart()";/><input , type="reset" value="Reset" name="reset" Copyright © 2010 shopping cart.   • DELETE causing a redirect loop?

    - by robocode
    I have an express app with a postgres backend where a user can add/delete recipes, and each time they do so they get an updated list of recipes. Adding a recipe is fine, but when I delete one it seems to get stuck in a redirect loop. In app.js I have router.get('/delete/:d', delRec.deleteRecipe); which calls the following code exports.deleteRecipe = function(req, res){ pg.connect(conString, function(err, client) { client.query('DELETE FROM recipes WHERE recipe_name = ', [req.params.d], function(err, result) { if(err) { return console.error('error running query', err); } else if (result) { pg.end(); console.log('deleting'); } }); }); res.redirect('recipes'); }; If I try delete a recipe, console.log('deleting') produces deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting deleting The recipes route is below (sorry that it's so convoluted) router.get('/recipes', function(req, res) { pg.connect(conString, function(err, client) { if(err) { return console.error('could not connect to postgres', err); } client.query('SELECT * FROM recipes', function(err, result) { if(err) { return console.error('error running query', err); } recipes = result.rows; for(var d in recipes) { if (recipes.hasOwnProperty(d)) { recipeList[d] = recipes[d].recipe_name; } } res.render('recipes', {recipes: recipes, recipeList: recipeList}); }); }); });
