• Updating Commit Message in Mercurial MQ extension

  After using hg qnew and hg qrefresh to create and update a patch that I want to apply to my repository, but the commit message that I wrote when I did hg qnew was not very good, it did not reference the ticket number from trac, and I would like to say something in it about some of the issues that my commit addresses. How do I do something like hg qrewritemycommitmessage. I have examined the docs on the website (starting here: http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/MqExtension ) and I have come up blank.

• Java and C++ on Stack Unwinding issue

  As far as I know, in case of an uncaught exception, C++ destroys the local variables immediately, Java releases the references and leaves the rest for the garbage collector. Is this right? What exactly is the difference between Java and C++ on this issue? in other words, which of these two languages is considered better in terms of stack unwinding issue? :)

• Subclassing NSObject, can it cause problems?

  I have a very basic data class that is subclassed from NSObject. I declare a few strings, make sure they have properties (nonatomic, copy), and synthesize them. The only method I implemented was dealloc() which releases my strings. Can any memory problems arise from just this? Are there any other methods I need to implement?

• throws SecurityException when signing with the default debug keystore

  I am receiving a SecurityException since yesterday when I launch the service using signature protection level for permission with the default debug keystore. The strange thing is I wasn't receiving this error before yesterday and I didn't make any security related change. On the other hand, my own keystore using for releases is still working good.   I'm just looking into using EF migrations for our project, and in particular for performing schema changes in production between releases. I can see that generating SQL (delta) script files is an option, but is there no way of running the migrations programmatically on app start up? Will I instead need to add each delta script to the solution and write my own framework to apply them in order (from the current version to the latest) on bootstrap?

• My Perforce Eclipse Plugin works only partially

  Hi all, I installed Perforce plugin version 3.4 on Eclipse Ganymede, configured my connection and workspace. My perforce perspective works just fine. However, when I work in the Java perspective, and I right-click any file in the project explorer, the "Team" context menu does not display the perforce options to check-out, sync etc. It only has the options "Apply patch" and "Show local history". This is super-annoying! Help, anyone?

• Seeing release markers in svn log

  Whenever we make a release of a project we'll create a tag to capture the snapshot. It will be very helpful to be able to see which revisions in the trunk history were used in certain releases. I know the TortoiseSVN revision graph shows this information, but I'm wondering if there's a way to see it in the command-line svn log? I'm coming from a Clearcase background where we'll be able to see the release labels in the history.

  Hi, I have one problem let assume A and B are 2 view controller from A user push to B view controller,In B user starts some download by creating object C(which is NSObject class) and sets B as delegate to C(assign),now user want go back to A then dealloc of B calls object releases, C delegate fails to give call back(crashes).I want to get call and allow user to move to other view controller thats way i am retain the delegate in C class but retain of delegate is wrong ... what are all solutions ... • Using memcpy to change a jnz to a jmp.

  Not used memcpy much but here's my code that doesn't work. memcpy((PVOID)(enginebase+0x74C9D),(void *)0xEB,2); (enginebase+0x74C9D) is a pointer location to the address of the bytes that I want to patch. (void *)0xEB is the op code for the kind of jmp that I want. Only problem is that this crashes the instant that the line tries to run, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, any incite?

• How to know when a user has really released a key in Java?

  (Edited for clarity) I want to detect when a user presses and releases a key in Java Swing, ignoring the keyboard auto repeat feature. I also would like a pure Java approach the works on Linux, Mac OS and Windows. Requirements: When the user presses some key I want to know what key is that; When the user releases some key, I want to know what key is that; I want to ignore the system auto repeat options: I want to receive just one keypress event for each key press and just one key release event for each key release; If possible, I would use items 1 to 3 to know if the user is holding more than one key at a time (i.e, she hits 'a' and without releasing it, she hits "Enter"). The problem I'm facing in Java is that under Linux, when the user holds some key, there are many keyPress and keyRelease events being fired (because of the keyboard repeat feature). I've tried some approaches with no success: Get the last time a key event occurred - in Linux, they seem to be zero for key repeat, however, in Mac OS they are not; Consider an event only if the current keyCode is different from the last one - this way the user can't hit twice the same key in a row; Here is the basic (non working) part of code: import java.awt.event.KeyListener; public class Example implements KeyListener { public void keyTyped(KeyEvent e) { } public void keyPressed(KeyEvent e) { System.out.println("KeyPressed: "+e.getKeyCode()+", ts="+e.getWhen()); } public void keyReleased(KeyEvent e) { System.out.println("KeyReleased: "+e.getKeyCode()+", ts="+e.getWhen()); } } When a user holds a key (i.e, 'p') the system shows: KeyPressed: 80, ts=1253637271673 KeyReleased: 80, ts=1253637271923 KeyPressed: 80, ts=1253637271923 KeyReleased: 80, ts=1253637271956 KeyPressed: 80, ts=1253637271956 KeyReleased: 80, ts=1253637271990 KeyPressed: 80, ts=1253637271990 KeyReleased: 80, ts=1253637272023 KeyPressed: 80, ts=1253637272023 ... At least under Linux, the JVM keeps resending all the key events when a key is being hold. To make things more difficult, on my system (Kubuntu 9.04 Core 2 Duo) the timestamps keep changing. The JVM sends a key new release and new key press with the same timestamp. This makes it hard to know when a key is really released. Any ideas? Thanks

In other words, the incoming voice call should trigger the application startup. In such a case the application should not be full-screen, but should cover only part of the screen to not hide the native controls for accepting or rejecting the call.
