  • Reload Android application in emulator without restarting emulator in Eclipse?

    Is there a way to reload an Android application in the emulator without closing the emulator, saving any code changes, and running the emulator again? If I make even a simple change to the layout, it takes about 30 seconds by time I run it in Eclipse and Android "boots", and I can unlock the emulator to run the application. Is there any way to shorten this time when making changes, or is it something I just have to deal with?

In the middle of the installation I have a window saying "Change if necessary installation path and initial VisualSVN Server setting". And after that (in the same window) I have two fields: "Location" and "Repositories". What these two parameters mean? I know URL where the common code is stored. Should I specify this URL in the "repositories" field?

  • How can I map a spring controller to a url with .jsp extension?

    Hi. We are in the process of migrating a jsp-only application to Spring-MVC. For various reasons we can't change the extension of the current pages. (calls to login.jsp need to handled by a spring controller that will use a jsp file as view). We are doing this iteratively, so some pages need to stay jsp files (calls to welcome.jsp won't be handled by a controller). To do that I mapped both the DispatcherDervlet and the HandlerMapping to *.jsp, and configured the JstlView in the standard way.     I have a column with the type of Varchar in my Postgres database which I meant to be integers... and now I want to change them, unfortunately this doesn't seem to work using my rails migration. change_column :table1, :columnB, :integer So I tried doing this: execute 'ALTER TABLE "table1" ALTER COLUMN "columnB" TYPE integer USING CAST(columnB AS INTEGER)' but cast doesn't work in this instance because some of the column are null... any ideas?

    just wondering if anyone knows anything of using javascript to set html to new content instead of linking to new pages, if this is generally a bad idea or if it kind of hurts SEO(which im kind of new to) Basically the home page displays given content, and the links to like contact pages and stuff, just change the body content to what would normally be a separate html page. my OCD kinda bugs me when pages reload and either flash the background or its offset somehow, so i wanted to know if making sites like this was a bad idea or whatever- i suppose at the least, i could create duplicates/hidden pages for SEO purposes
