Using a profile property of type List in .NET Membership

Hi, I'm working on a C# Webservice that needs to provide authentication as well as roles and profile management. I need each profile to have a property of type List. The profile section in the web.config looks like this: <profile defaultProvider="MyProfileProvider" enabled="true"> <providers> <remove name="MyProfileProvider"/> <add connectionStringName="MySqlServer" applicationName="MyApp" name="MyProfileProvider" type="System.Web.Profile.SqlProfileProvider" /> </providers> <properties> <add name="Websites" type="System.Collections.Generic.List<String>" serializeAs="Binary"/> </properties> </profile> However, when I start the webservice and try to access that property it returns the following error: System.Configuration.ConfigurationErrorsException: Attempting to load this property's type resulted in the following error: Could not load type 'System.Collections.Generic.List<String>'. (C:\Projects\MyProject\web.config line 58) --- System.Web.HttpException: Could not load type 'System.Collections.Generic.List<String>'. Is there a way to use a generic collection for this purpose?

GlassFish can't find persistence provider for EntityManager

Hi, I am building Spring MVC project (2.5). It runs on GlassFish v3 server and I am using Hibernate for ORM mapping from Derby database. I am having trouble with deployment - GlassFish says : No Persistence provider for EntityManager named mvcspringPU. Group testNG tests without annotations

Hi gents and ladies, I'm responsible for allowing unit tests for one of ETL components.I want to acomplish this using testNG with generic java test class and number of test definitions in testng.xmlpassing various parameters to the class.Oracle and ETL guys should be able to add new tests without changing the java code, so we need to use xml suite file instead of annotations. Question Is there a way to group tests in testng.xml?(similarly to how it is done with annotations) I mean something like <group name="first_group"> <test> <class ...> <parameter ...> </test> </group> <group name="second_group"> <test> <class ...> <parameter ...> </test> </group> I've checked the testng.dtd as figured out that similar syntax is not allowed.But is therea workaround to allow grouping? Reading Xml with XmlReader in C#

I'm trying to read the following Xml document as fast as I can and let additional classes manage the reading of each sub block. <ApplicationPool><Accounts><Account><NameOfKin></NameOfKin><StatementsAvailable><Statement></Statement></StatementsAvailable></Account></Accounts></ApplicationPool> I can't seem to format the above nicely :( However, I'm trying to use the XmlReader object to read each Account and subsequently the "StatementsAvailable". Do you suggest using XmlReader.Read and check each element and handle it? I've thought of seperating my classes to handle each node properly. So theres an AccountBase class that accepts a XmlReader instance that reads the NameOfKin and several other properties about the account. Then I was wanting to interate through the Statements and let another class fill itself out about the Statement (and subsequently add it to an IList). Thus far I have the "per class" part done by doing XmlReader.ReadElementString() but I can't workout how to tell the pointer to move to the StatementsAvailable element and let me iterate through them and let another class read each of those proeprties. Sounds easy!

Jackson XML globally set element name for container types

I'm using Jackson 1.9.2 with the XML databind module. I need to tweak the way that Jackson serializes arrays, lists, collections. By default, with an int array property called myProperty containing a couple numbers, Jackson / XML is producing the following: <myProperty> <myProperty>1</myProperty> <myProperty>2</myProperty> </myProperty> What I need to produce is: <myProperty> <item>1</item> <item>2</item> </myProperty> I can do this on a per-POJO basis using a combination of JacksonXmlElementWrapper and JacksonXmlProperty like so: @JacksonXmlElementWrapper(localname='myProperty') @JacksonXmlProperty(localname='item') public int[] myProperty; This solution, however, would require that I manually apply these annotations to every array, list, collection in my POJOs. A much better solution would allow me to apply a solution once, globally, for all array, list, collection types. Any ideas on how to implement such a solution? Thanks!

Jquery $.get against ASP.NET MVC not working in Opera and Firefox

Opera also doesn't work so I assume it is the same problem. However, above code works just fine in IE 8, Chrome, and Safari. On localhost all of the above browsers work as expected including Firefox and Opera -- they all receive "Got ajax request!" as the response from the server. Anybody have any ideas what's going on here and how to fix it? I am looking for a real solution or at least explanation as to what is going on and why.

Problem with XStream Marshalling to return xml and json

When i use new XStream().toXml(someObject); it returns following xml... <response> <status>SUCCESS</status> <isOwnershipVerified class="boolean">false</isOwnershipVerified> </response> and, when i use new XStream(new JsonHierarchicalStreamDriver()).toXml(someObject); it returns following json... {"response": { "status": "SUCCESS", "isOwnershipVerified": { "@class": "boolean""false"} }} Now, since i want to get rid of class attribute altogether (read it not to alias it with anything else, but to remove it) i use following code. XStream xStream = new XStream(); StringWriter writer = new StringWriter(); xStream.marshal(this, new PrettyPrintWriter(writer) { @Override public void addAttribute(final String key, final String value) { if (!key.equals("class")) { super.addAttribute(key, value); } } }); return writer.toString(); which gives follwing xml... <response> <status>SUCCESS</status> <isOwnershipVerified>false</isOwnershipVerified> </response> but, when i pass new JsonHierarchicalStreamDriver() while xStream object creation above, it does NOT return json. it returns the same xml shown above. I have a DataTemplate which contains a CheckBox and ListBox. When the CheckBox is checked, I want to change the ItemTemplate property on the ListBox to change the appearance of each item. Particularly I don't know what object in the DataGrid datasource that the combobox is refering to. Any help would be much appreciated.

Problem between Glassfish and Spring Security Basic Authentication

Hi! I am enabling a simple HTTP Basic Authentication with Spring security in my project. My environment is an Glassfish Server (bundled with Netbeans), and almost everything works perfect: I have set up it to just ask for authentication with the POST method, with hardcoded users with "user-service", and it works with user names with no special characters. The problem comes when I set up an user with "@" or "." facebook connect button not producing pop-up

This is a really simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer. I am just getting started with Facebook Connect. I would like to use it only for user authentication, so there is no need for my users to create another account. HTML - Correct way of coding a checkbox with a Label.

I've been using formtastic in order to generate HTML forms on rails applications. My question, however, is really HTML-related. Today I found a strange behaviour on the way formtastic generates checkboxes (fields of type :boolean on formtastic lingo). The rest of the fields (non-checkboxes) are generated this way: <li> <label for="my_textbox_field">My TextBox</label> <input id="my_textbox_field" type="text" ... > </li> Checkboxes, however, are enclosed inside their <label> tags completely - like this: <li> <label for="my_boolean_field"> <input id="my_boolean_field" type="checkbox" ... > This is my boolean field </label> </li> Formtastic phylosophy seems to be based on the Learning to Love Forms presentation. In effect, on slide 36 of that presentation this structure is suggested for checkboxes. I guess in the presentation itself the presenter explained why this was done, but it is not written on the slides. Can anyone tell me why enclosing checkboxes inside their <label> tag might be a good idea, as opposed to putting them outside, like with textboxes?

How to print PDF on default network printer using GhostScript (gswin32c.exe) shell command

I'd like to print PDF file(s) on windows' network printer via GhostScript. (I dont want to use Adobe Reader) I've read gswin32c.exe which can do the job. I experimented with many commands and coudn't find the way how to force gs to print PDF on my (windows default) network drive. I don't need point exact network printer- default can be used. But if there is no such option I'm happy to pass printer name as well. (I've tried with param -SDevice="\server_IP\printer_name" but this didnt work as well...) contentEditable cursor position/style in FireFox

I'm having trouble using contentEditable in FireFox 3. I have a problem where the cursor will appear above or only partially in the div after I click in it (until I start typing at which time it behaves correctly). Any ideas on how I can stop this from happening? Error executing child request for handler in plugin

I'm using nop commerce open source. I wanted to show the recently add products in home page. so what I did is I activated plugin Nop JCarousel in the admin panel. struts2: Redirect from global interceptor

In struts2 I have very simple task, after user is logged-in I'm checking if they profile is complete. If not user should be blocked from any other action and redirected to edit page. Saying editing page is /packageA/editProfile, my interceptor does following: public String intercept(ActionInvocation actionInvocation) throws Exception { if( currentUser.isOk() ) return "editProfile"; ... BUT! interceptor is global, so it raises struts2 error: No result defined for action (name of editProfile action class) When interceptor is placed inside some package - then everything ok. What should i do to declare global action?

Morning y'all This is probably an easy one but I barely got any sleep last night and am struggling to comprehend anything. I've got a CodeIgniter library I've made called Points.php. In one of my views, I want it to display the number of 'points' (which for the time being is simply the third segment of the URI). I call it like this: <p>Points: <?php $params['user_id']=$this->uri->segment(3,1); echo $this->points->getpoints($params); ?></p> The warning I get back in the view is this: A PHP Error was encountered Severity: Notice Message: Undefined variable: userid Filename: libraries/Points.php Yes I know it's such a simple problem but I've tried lots of things. Some variations include echoing in Points.php $params['userid']; etc. But I don't see what I'm doing wrong? This is my first CodeIgniter class and I've fallen at the first step, haha...

Wrap CKEditor WYSYWG content with additional (non editable) HTML to apply element specific formattin

I am attempting to have the WYSYWG view within CKEDITOR display with the same formatting as it will within the final rendered HTML. I am currently applying the correct CSS through specifying the contentsCss property when loading CKEditor. This works fine for some of the formatting, however a lot of the css formatting is applied to elements which will surround the edited HTML within the final rendered page - and so the WYSYWG view is not consistent with the final rendered view. I would like to be able to specify HTML code at runtime which will wrap the editable HTML content within the CKEditor WYSYWG view - but not have this be part of the editable code, or rendered within the HTML code. For instance, currently the HTML code surrounding the editable content is: <body spellcheck="false" class="cke_show_borders"> [Editable Content] </body> Where as in one particular instance I would it like it to render like this: <body spellcheck="false" class="cke_show_borders"><div id="container_everything"><div id="content_container"><div class="introduction_container"><div class="introduction_text"> [Editable Content] </div></div></div></div></body> I need to be able to specify different prefix and suffix code blocks at runtime, as specific HTML depends on the context of the element being edited. Zend Framework how to echo value of SUM query

Hello, I created a query for the zend framework, in which I try to retrieve the sum of a column, in this case the column named 'time'. This is the query I use: $this->timequery = $this->db_tasks->fetchAll($this->db_tasks->select()->from('tasks', 'SUM(time)')->where('projectnumber =' . $this->value_project)); $this->view->sumtime = $this->timequery; Echoing the query tells me this is right. But I can't echo the result properly. Currently I'm using: echo $this->sumtime['SUM(time)']; Returning the following error: Catchable fatal error: Object of class Zend_Db_Table_Row could not be converted to string in C:\xampp\htdocs\BManagement\application\views\scripts\tasks\index.phtml on line 46 Line 46 being the line with the echo in my view. I've been searching now for two days on how to figure this out, or achieve the same result in a different way. Tried to serialize the value, but that didn't work either. Is there somebody who knows how to achieve the total sum of a database column? Any help is greatly appriciated! note: Pretty new to zend framework...
