    Hey all - I've seen a library that allows me to do this inside my XAML, which sets the visibility of the control based on whether or not the user is in a role: s:Authorization.RequiresRole="Admin" Using that library with my database requires a bunch of coding that I can't really do right now. Ultimately here's what I want to know... I have received the authenticated users role from my SPROC, and its currently stored in my App.xaml.cs as a property (not necessary for the final solution, just FYI for now). I want to create a property (dependency property? attached property?) that allows me to say something very similar to what the other library has: RequiresRole="Admin", which would collapse the visibility if the user is not in the Admin role. Can anyone point me in the right direction on this? Thanks, Scott

    Recently, I'm trying to migrating my application from CakePHP to Grails. So far it's been a smooth sailing, everything I can do with CakePHP, I can do it with much less code in Grails. However, I have one question : In CakePHP, there's an URL Prefix feature that enables you to give prefix to a certain action url, for example, if I have these actions in my controller : PostController admin_add admin_edit admin_delete I can simply access it from the URL : mysite/admin/post/add mysite/admin/post/edit/1 mysite/admin/post/delete/2 instead of: mysite/post/admin_add mysite/post/admin_edit/1 mysite/post/admin_delete/2 Is there anyway to do this in Grails, or at least alternative of doing this?

    I'm seeing a weird access denied issue with WMI. we're trying to create a diff disk based on a parent vhd in a windows service app that runs under network service (machine account is an admin). everything works fine when we create the diff disk on other machine using wmi - we use an admin user account. however, we cannot do this on a local machine as wmi doesn't take user cred for the local machine. so thought network service account already should have access for this, it seems like it doesn't and even if we run the service under an admin service account, it fails. any pointers???

    Hi, I'm trying to install wordpress on a Windows IIS server. I've extracted the wordpress file to a path like the following: www.domain.com/home I've setup the mysql database and configured the necessary wp-config.php. All is good so far. When I open the install php at: http://www.domain.com/home/wp-admin/install.php The page looks for its stylesheet at: http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/css/install.css That is wrong, it should look for the stylesheet at: http://www.domain.com/home/wp-admin/css/install.css I'm guessing the problem is with IIS but I have no clue how to tackle it and google did not help so far. I hope someone would know why this is happening. Thanks!

I register my custom view engine in Global.asax : RegisterViewEngines(ViewEngines.Engines); AreaRegistration.RegisterAllAreas(); RegisterRoutes(RouteTable.Routes); When I browsed my admin site, it cant find the views.. I know its because of my custom view engine.. But how can you register new custom view engine without affecting the view engine of areas?

  • Form is creating already loaded attributes in addition to new attributes, how do I ignore the first?

    In my application you: Have an admin user that signs on and that user has a role (separate model), then I use the declarative_authorization plugin to give access to certain areas. That admin user can also register new users in the system, when they do this (using Authlogic) they fill out a nested form that includes that new users' role. So what is happening is the role of the admin user is being loaded by the declarative_authorization and then the nested form using the has_many_nested_attributes is loading that existing role as well as the new role for the new user (users can have many roles). Is there some way I can tell the new User being created to ignore the role assigned to the current_user and only create the role in the form for the new user? I have looked through a lot of different things, but it seems to get more complicated that these are nested attributes. Thanks in advance.

While in admin page, when I restored the database inside the admin page, I need to logout all the users who are currently login to the client page. Any ideas how it should be done?     I am new to spring and trying to implement Role based authorization with the help of @Secured annotation. I have a method which is specifically for ADMIN and I have written @Secured ("ROLE_ADMIN") to secure it. @Secured ("ROLE_ADMIN") public void HelloUser(String name) { System.out.println("Hello ADMIN"); } Now when I call this method by creating a class object it gets called eventhough user dont have ADMIN authority But when I dont create an object and use @autowired annotation instead then it works i.e User is not allowed to access this method. In my security.xml as well as servlet.xml I have added <global-method-security secured-annotations="enabled" /> Can some one please tell me where I am going wrong or is this the natural behaviour in spring ?

  • How do you render a rails partial that is outside of a namespace in a view that is inside of a namespace?

    I've got a 'static' controller and static views that are pages that don't utilize ruby in their views. For these pages, I have a sitemap partial that is generated programatically and used in the application layout file. Namespaced routes still use the application layout file but are taking the static routes and trying to namespace them too. Here's the relevant portion of the route file: namespace :admin do resources :verse_categories resources :verses resources :songs resources :flowers resources :visits, :except => [:new, :create] end match ':action' => 'static' root :to => 'static#home' Here's the error I'm getting: No route matches {:controller=>"admin/static", :action=>"about"} Note that about is one of the static pages that the sitemap partial uses. So, how can I resolve this routing issue so that it's not trying to find my static sites inside of the admin namespace? Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi, I have the following file structure: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/images I have an index.php file lying inside the admin folder which calls a header.inc.php file lying in the same folder. header.inc.php has the following code- <td align="left" valign="top" class="header-bg"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"> index.php calls a css file (css.css) through the following code: <link href="<?php echo (WS_DIR_CSS); ?>/css.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> The css lies in the following location: C:/wamp/myproject/admin/webroot/css The css files has a class which has the following code: .header-bg { background:url(../images/header_bg.jpg) left top repeat-x; height:77px; } The image header_bg.jpg is not being displayed in the browser. Help anyone?

    I need to obtain an access_token as an App, not as an admin or user. This is so that I can post/comment/like in a the style of "[ app name ] has commented on your post". The problem is that when I attempt to get an access token (which I do successfully), I'm getting one that is for me (the admin) because I'm logged in when I attempt to call: https://graph.facebook.com/oauth/authorize?client_id=[app id]&redirect_uri=[url]&scope=publish_stream,offline_access&type=user_agent&display=popup What is the process for getting an non-expiring access token AS an app, rather than an admin?     Hello, am a newbie in ruby on rails and am stuck with a simple problem of routing. I have my controller 'sub' and the 'Views' folder containing the add,edit,new erb files. In my routes file, i have 'map.resources :subs'. Until now, everything is fine. Problem: I moved the add,edit,new erb files into a subfolder called 'admin' inside the 'Views' main directory. I have no idea how to call those erb files from that 'admin' subdir. By default, it is looking for /app/views/subs/index.html.erb, and i want it to look in /app/views/subs/admin/index.html.erb Please can anyone tell me how to do this. Many many thanks

    I'm trying to work on my new website Drupal7 while I'm keeping in the hosting my old static website. So I have: index.html (static website. I want to keep for my users) index.php (drupal new installation) Is there a way to set in drupal this kind of situation? The problem, as you problably can see at this point, is that every time I'm going to a different section I'm being redirected to the .html homepage. I mean for example the admin section is: www.mydomain.com/?q=admin instead of www.mydomain.com/index.php?q=admin What's the easiest way to keep the html static web for my current users while I'm developing my drupal7 website in the "background"?

  • How to handle redirections with codeigniter?

    Hi, im having problems starting a codeigniter project, the problem is that when i do something in a controller and then i want a page to display the result, an example: i have a form to add a item to the database, i get all the data in the controller and save it to database and then i want (if all went well) to redirect to the main page with a success msg, i was doing this with $this->load->view('admin', $data); the problem is that the url keeps saying admin/addItem so everytime the page gets refreshed it adds another item, now i found the: redirect('admin','refresh'); but this only helps me when i dont need to display any msg because this function dont allow to send a $data var. Any ideas? Probably this is really easy to fix but i cant find a way to handle the flow of the application the way i want, any help is apreciated. thanks ;)
