• How do I digitally sign an HTTPS request in .net?

  Is there a built in procedure to digitally sign an HTTPS request with client's SSL private key in .net? Also, is there a built in procedure to verify the digital signature against an SSL certificate? Or do I have to roll my own? Or is there a third party library? I need the request to be digitally signed because the client manipulates money, so I want to be sure that the request really comes from the client and that nobody tampers with the content of the request. I'm also considering using SSL client certificate, but it can only provide confidentiality and authentication, but not data integrity.

  Hello! I want to parse an XML file with Java and validate it in the same step against an XSD schema. An XML file may contain content of several schemas, like this: <outer xmlns="my.outer.namespace" xmlns:x="my.third.namespace"> <foo>hello</foo> <inner xmlns="my.inner.namespace"> <bar x:id="bar">world</bar> </inner> </outer> Given a namespace the corresponding xsd file can be provided, but the used namespaces are unknown before parsing. If a schema defines default values for attributes, I also want to know that somehow. I was able to validate a file if the schemas are known, I was able to parse a file without validation and I implemented a LSResourceResolver. However, I can't get all of it working together. How do I have to set up my (SAX) parser?

  Hi, I need to extract the detail content of a website while preserve all formatting of the division. My current solution is to use HTMLParser from libxml2 and xpath to find the nodes and walk through all the nodes to reconstruct this piece of HTML. This is a long an complicated code. I' just wondering if there is an easier solution to extract part of HTML? Thanks.

• java best way to transfer images

  I have a application that reads a PDF, transform the content to collection of TIF files, and send them to Glass Fish Server for saving. Usually there are 1-5 pages and it works nice, but when I got a input file with 100+ pages... it throws error on the transfer. Java heap space at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:2786) at java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream.write(ByteArrayOutputStream.java:94) Putting more resources is not a good option in my case, so I m looking for a way to optimize it somehow. I store the data in: HashMap<TifProfile, List<byte[]> Is there a better way to store or send them ? EDIT I did some tests and the final collections for PDF with 80 pages has size over 280mb (240 tiffs with different settings inside)

  I'm currently learning git, usually I'm a bit skeptic of VCS since I have a hard time getting used to them. I deleted a branch called "experimental" with some tmp files, I saw the files removed in my working directory so I scratched my head and wondered if this is normal, can I bring it back in case I need it again, etc. I found the SHA making the commit of the tmp files and recreated the branch with the provided sha and saw it again with all the files and their current content. Everything I do in the working directory can be reverted once I commit it? Might seem like a silly question to many people, but it kinda intrigues me so I want to know the limits

The second file gr1.xml contains something like this: <item name="i1">Item one</item> <item name="i2">Item two</item> <item name="i3">Item three</item> Note that there is no XML declaration in gr1.xml, just plain items without single parent node. So… Which is the best way to replace <group/> with its <item/>s? I have already tried some things like manual enclosing of gr1.xml content into a single node with XML declaration and loading it into XmlDocument, but it doesn't look like a good solution.

  I want to launch a Chromecast app but NOT using the chrome extension or iOS or Android. Doing this from command line. I noticed that you can send a POST to your chromecast, and it will launch an app. For example if I do curl -H “Content-Type: application/json” http://CHROMECAST_IP:8008/apps/YouTube -X POST -d ‘v=oHg5SJYRHA0' Then it will start up youtube. But for some reason I can't do this with custom apps (in dev mode). I thought I'd be able to send a POST to http://CHROMECAST_IP:8008/apps/MY_REGISTERED_APP_ID, but no luck. I just get a 404 response. Hmmm... My app is just a simple webpage (it is not streamed media). I want to run a little headless server that starts my chromecast app everyday via a CRON task. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks :)

• Trying to make my leaflet map work on internet explorer

  I have been tearing my hair out of late trying to get my web map working on internet explorer. It's working flawlessly on every other major browser but none of the content will load in IE. Anyone out there who's good at browser testing that could help out? I know the leaflet javascript api, which I'm using for this project, supports IE in theory. In practice this isn't working out too well... • How can I include .pdf files when I publish but not in a search and replace in visual studio?

  More specifically my problem is if I include a pdf in my project and set its build action to content so it gets copied to the server when I publish, is there a way to exclude it from visual studios search and replace feature. Would a post build action be a solution to this? I just don't want anybody to do a global search and replace in my project and mess up the pdfs...   As per the latest update of Kindle V2.5, it has support of "continue downloading books while the app is in the background on iOS 4 devices". How is it possible to download content in background? As per the iOS multitasking documentation, only audio, voip & location updates are possible in background. And I've also maken sure that NSURLConnection doesn't download new data work while app goes background. Then how's it possible with Kindle app? Edit: I haven't checked Kindle App in iOS4 multitasking enabled device. So if anyone let me (& community) know what exactly Kindle app does to download, that would be very much helpful.

For that, after the login, I would just store the user id in the session. But: I've seen some people do weird things like generating a GUID for each user and session and storing that instead of just the user id in the session. Why? • Reading a file used by another process

  I know this has been up for discussion but I can't find an answer to my specific problem. I am monitoring a text file that is being written to by a server program. Every time the file is changed the content will be outputted to a window in my program. The problem is of course, that I can't use the Streamreader on the file as it is being "used by another process". Also setting up a Filestream with ReadWrite won't do any good since I cannot control the process that is using the file. However... You CAN open the file in notepad, so somehow it must be possible to access it even though the server is using it. Is there a good way around this? Should I monitor the file, make a temp copy of it when it changes, read the temp copy and the delete the temp copy. I need to get hold of the text in the file whenever the server changes it.

• NoClassDefFoundError with new eclipse bundle

  I am informed by a customer that they are receiving an error. On the report they filed it is continuosly coming up with NoClassDefFoundError. It appears none of my other customers are having this issue. I'm not having this issue running the app on my Motorola Droid Maxx. The customer is running the app on a rooted Droid Bionic. Everything was working fine on my version at 2.3 but when I updated it to 2.4, this issue arose. I also replaced my computer with a new and now I am running windows 8 and installed the adt bundle. The only change I made to the file in question in changing a -90 to -85. Below is the code...I have also included below the code the error report. • ASP.Net Treeview - Client side event handling (jQuery??)

  I have a Treeview (bog standard ASP.Net Treeview) that is bound to an Xml source which allows the user to navigate to various parts of our system. Nothing special.... However, I wanted to generate a breadcrumb for use in the main content area on the client side when the user clicks a node in the Treeview control. I know there are mechanisms available for breadcrumb generation (such as site maps) but for various reasons I need to do it when a node is clicked. So far hooking up a click event using the document ready function available as part of jQuery is easy. However, having spent sometime looking I can not see how I navigate back up the tree nodes to get to each parent nodes text value to build the breadcrumb. I have been playing with .parent(), .parents() and .closest() available via jQuery but don't seem to be getting anywhere. Has anyone done anything like this or can anyone provide a better method? Thanks in advance....

Not his own tweets but the tweets of others containing @BarackObama. In the end I'd like to have: the person who mentioned, location, datetime. This content should be written to a flat file. I've been experimenting with the Twitter API and Python, with success but haven't yet succeeded achieving the above problem. I know there is a dev sections on the twitter website but they don't provide any example of code!! https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1/get/statuses/mentions count=100 .... Basically this is a type of replication. I'm not so much looking for a fail-over solution as an automatic replication solution, so if the primary site (Server) goes off-line, I can manually bring up the replicated site quickly. I'm familiar with tools like unison and rsync, but most of these only sync file(s) and do not do too well with open database connections.
