  • jquery Tree Traversal prev() in TD's

    - by Guido Lemmens
    Hello, I'm trying to check/unckeck a selectbox by jquery in a previous TD. I have tried for hours several combination with prev(), parent(), closest(), but still without result... Here is the example code: <table> <tr> <td><input type="checkbox" class="resultcheck"></td> <td><label class="resultchecklabel">Text 1</label></td> </tr> <tr> <td><input type="checkbox" class="resultcheck"></td> <td><label class="resultchecklabel">Text 2</label></td> </tr> </table> <script> $('.resultchecklabel').live('click', function() { if ($(this).prev('td input:checked').val() != null) { $(this).prev('td').prev("input").removeAttr("checked"); } else { $(this).prev('td').prev("input").attr("checked","checked"); } }); </script> Who can help me to solve this question? Many thanks!

  • jQuery Autocomplete plugin (Jorn Zaefferer's) - how to dynamically change the list of displayed valu

    - by Max Williams
    I'm using Jorn Zaefferer's Autocomplete query plugin, http://bassistance.de/jquery-plugins/jquery-plugin-autocomplete/ I have options set so it shows all the values when you click in the empty text field, a bit like a select, and the option is also set so that the user can only choose from the list of values used by the autocomplete (so it's kind of like a select but with autocomplete functionality). I have two radio buttons below the text field, which determine whether the user chooses from a long list or a short list of possible values. I want to update the values used in the autocomplete when one of these radio buttons is clicked. Currently i'm doing this in a not very clever way by calling autocomplete again on the same text field, with the different array of values, but this creates a situation where both are active at once, and i can see the long list peeking out from behind the short list. What i need to do is either a) dynamically change the values used in the autocomplete or b) remove (unbind?) the autocomplete from the text field before re-initialising it. Either of these would do tbh though option a) is kind of nicer. Any ideas anyone? Here's my current code: function initSubjectLongShortList(field, short_values, long_values){ $(".subject_short_long_list").change(function(){ updateSubjectAutocomplete(field, short_values, long_values); }); updateSubjectAutocomplete(field, short_values, long_values); } function updateSubjectAutocomplete(field, short_values, long_values){ if($(".subject_short_long_list:checked").attr('id') == "subject_long_list"){ initSubjectAutocomplete(field, long_values); } else { initSubjectAutocomplete(field, short_values); } } function initSubjectAutocomplete(field, values){ jQuery(field).autocomplete(values, { minChars: 0, //make it appear as soon as we click in the field max: 2000, scrollHeight: 400, matchContains: true, selectFirst: false }); } cheers, max

    Hi, i have a custom adapter for an arraylist. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <LinearLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:orientation="horizontal"> <ProgressBar android:id="@+id/downloadprogress" style="?android:attr/progressBarStyleHorizontal" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:max="100" android:progress="50" android:secondaryProgress="75" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/tripsname" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"/> </LinearLayout> but when i try to access to the progress bar in the adapter private class MyAdapter extends ArrayAdapter<Trip> { int resource; public MyAdapter(Context context, int resource, ArrayList<Trip> items) { super(context, resource,items); this.resource=resource; } @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView, ViewGroup parent) { LinearLayout tripListItemView; final Trip t = getItem(position); String name = t.getName(); boolean offline = t.isOffline() ; if(convertView==null) { tripListItemView = new LinearLayout(getContext()); String inflater = Context.LAYOUT_INFLATER_SERVICE; LayoutInflater vi; vi = (LayoutInflater)getContext().getSystemService(inflater); vi.inflate(resource, tripListItemView, true); } else { tripListItemView = (LinearLayout) convertView; } setProgressBarVisibility(true); View v = findViewById(R.id.downloadprogress); ProgressBar progressHorizontal = (ProgressBar) findViewById(R.id.downloadprogress); it always return null, like it doesn't find the progress bar. However, the progress bar is shown in the list, but i need to access to it inside the adapter. Anybody knows the solution? Thanks

  • Jquery button.click bug?

    - by Chris
    I have the following home-grown jquery plugin: (function($) { $.fn.defaultButton = function(button) { var field = $(this); var target = $(button); if (field.attr('type').toLowerCase() != 'text') return; field.keydown(function (e) { if ((e.which || e.keyCode) == 13) { console.log('enter'); target.click(); return false; } }); } })(jQuery); I'm using it like so: $('#SignUpForm input').defaultButton('#SignUpButton'); $('#SignUpButton').click(function(e) { console.log('click'); $.ajax({ type: 'post', url: '<%=ResolveUrl("~/WebServices/ForumService.asmx/SignUp")%>', contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8', dataType: 'json', data: JSON.stringify({ email: $('#SignUpEmail').val(), password: $('#SignUpPassword').val() }), success: function(msg) { $.modal.close(); } }); }); The first time, it works. The second time, nothing happens. I see enter and click the first time in the firebug log, but the second time I only see the enter message. It's almost like the button's click handler is being unregistered somehow. Any thoughts?

  • JQuery-UI Drag, Drop and Re-Drag Clones on Re-Drag

    - by amarcy
    I am using the following code to extend the JQuery-UI demos included with the download. I am trying to set up a container that the user can drag items into and then move the items around within the container. I incorporated the answer from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/867469/jquery-draggable-clone which works with one problem. <script> $(document).ready(function() { $("#droppable").droppable({ accept: '.ui-widget-content', drop: function(event, ui) { if($(ui).parent(":not(:has(#id1))")){ $(this).append($(ui.helper).clone().attr("id", "id1")); } $("#id1").draggable({ containment: 'parent', }); } }); $(".ui-widget-content").draggable({helper: 'clone'}); }); </script> div class="demo"> <div id="draggable" class="ui-widget-content"> <p>Drag me around</p> </div> <div id="droppable" class="ui-widget-header"> <p>Drop here</p> </div> When an item is dropped onto the droppable container it can be dragged one time and when it is dropped after that drag it loses its dragging capability. How do I allow for the item to be dragged multiple times after it has been added to the droppable container?

  • jQuery ajax call doesn't seem to do anything at all

    - by icemanind
    I am having a problem with making an ajax call in jQuery. Having done this a million times, I know I am missing something really silly here. Here is my javascript code for making the ajax call: function editEmployee(id) { $('#<%= imgNewEmployeeWait.ClientID %>').hide(); $('#divAddNewEmployeeDialog input[type=text]').val(''); $('#divAddNewEmployeeDialog select option:first-child').attr("selected", "selected"); $('#divAddNewEmployeeDialog').dialog('open'); $('#createEditEmployeeId').text(id); var inputEmp = {}; inputEmp.id = id; var jsonInputEmp = JSON.stringify(inputEmp); debugger; alert('Before Ajax Call!'); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "Configuration.aspx/GetEmployee", data: jsonInputEmp, contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function (msg) { alert('success'); }, error: function (msg) { alert('failure'); } }); } Here is my CS code that is trying to be called: [WebMethod] public static string GetEmployee(int id) { var employee = new Employee(id); return Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.SerializeObject(employee, Newtonsoft.Json.Formatting.Indented); } When I try to run this, I do get the alert that says Before Ajax Call!. However, I never get an alert back that says success or an alert that says failure. I did go into my CS code and put a breakpoint on the GetEmployee method. The breakpoint did hit, so I know jQuery is successfully calling the method. I stepped through the method and it executed just fine with no errors. I can only assume the error is happening when the jQuery ajax call is returning from the call. Also, I looked in my event logs just to make sure there wasn't an ASPX error occurring. There is no error in the logs. I also looked at the console. There are no script errors. Anyone have any ideas what I am missing here? `

  • Newbie question: How do you layout an icon, 2 text lines and a button?

    - by Keith Barrows
    I am trying to extend a sample I found at http://developer.android.com/resources/articles/layout-tricks-efficiency.html. I am a brand new MonoDroid developer, just installed it yesterday, and trying to jump right into UI design and so far it is not clicking for me completely. I have this main.xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="?android:attr/listPreferredItemHeight" android:padding="6dip"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/icon" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_marginRight="6dip" android:src="@drawable/icon" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/secondLine" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="26dip" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/icon" android:layout_alignParentBottom="true" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:text="Second line which is a long line of text and needs to scroll" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/firstLine" android:layout_width="200dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/icon" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:layout_above="@id/secondLine" android:layout_alignWithParentIfMissing="true" android:singleLine="true" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:gravity="center_vertical" android:text="First line" /> <Button android:id="@+id/logonButton" android:layout_width="50dip" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_toRightOf="@id/secondLine" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:gravity="center_vertical" android:text="Login" /> /> </RelativeLayout> What I am trying to do is have an icon on the left, 2 lines of text stacked in the middle and a button on the right. When I run this in my emulator I am seeing: The second line is not scrolling. The button does not show up. Is there by any chance a simple WYSIWYG editor for layout? Or is there an app to give me a quick view of my layout XML? Something like FireBug in FireFox would be fine. Barring the slim chance there are UI helpers for Droid, what am I doing wrong? :)

  • How to embed multiple jQuery line of code in custom HtmlHelpers ASP.NET MVC

    - by embarus
    I 've tried to create my own HTML Helper which work fine for my need but I can't embed many lines of jQuery code in my extension HtmlHelpers class. I've tried @ literal for jQuery code I doesn't work or I need to escape every line of code that I thing I not good for multiple line of code. I don't know if there is another way to achieve this problem like << Therefore, I need to include jQuery plugin file and put implement script after HTML tag. I find it would be convenience if I could put every in HTML helper and put a single line of code in aspx page for example <%= Html.ParentChildSelectList(string parentName, string childName, IEnumerable parentViewData, IEnumerable childViewData, int parentSize, in childSize) % The following code is the way that I used now. the .aspx page Category model.CategoryID)% , new { size = 10 })% model.SubcategoryID,"subcategory") % model.SubcategoryID)% , new { size = 10 })% <script type="text/javascript"> jQuery.sarapadchang.parentChildSelectList( { parentId : "CategoryID" , childId : "SubcategoryID", actionName : "GetSubcategoryList", controllerName : "Json" } ); </script> I put in head tag to include ParentChildSelectList.js the following code for ParentChildSelectList.js (function($) { $.sarapadchang = { parentChildSelectList: function(options) { // $("#CategoryID option").click(function() $("#" + options.parentId).find("option").click(function() { $("#" + options.childId).empty(); //clear data $("#" + options.childId).append('<option>loading...</option>'); $.post("/" + options.controllerName + "/" + options.actionName + "/" + $(this).attr('value'), "", function(data) { var html = ""; $.each(data, function(index, entry) { html += '<option value="' + entry['Value'] + '">' + entry['Text'] + '</option>'; } ); $("#" + options.childId).empty() $("#" + options.childId).append(html); }, "json"); //end getJson }); })(jQuery); To illustrate you, I've attached simple solution, please follow this link. http://www.thaileaguefc.net/ParentChildSelectList.rar Please accept my apologies if my English is difficult to understand. • How to get interpolated message in NHibernate.Validator

    - by SztupY
    Hi! I'm trying to integrate NHibernate.Validator with ASP.NET MVC client side validations, and the only problem I found is that I simply can't convert the non-interpolated message to a human-readable one. I thought this would be an easy task, but turned out to be the hardest part of the client-side validation. The main problem is that because it's not server-side, I actually only need the validation attributes that are being used, and I don't actually have an instance or anything else at hand. Here are some excerpts from what I've been already trying: // Get the the default Message Interpolator from the Engine IMessageInterpolator interp = _engine.Interpolator; if (interp == null) { // It is null?? Oh, try to create a new one interp = new NHibernate.Validator.Interpolator.DefaultMessageInterpolator(); } // We need an instance of the object that needs to be validated, se we have to create one object instance = Activator.CreateInstance(Metadata.ContainerType); // we enumerate all attributes of the property. For example we have found a PatternAttribute var a = attr as PatternAttribute; // it seems that the default message interpolator doesn't work, unless initialized if (interp is NHibernate.Validator.Interpolator.DefaultMessageInterpolator) { (interp as NHibernate.Validator.Interpolator.DefaultMessageInterpolator).Initialize(a); } // but even after it is initialized the following will throw a NullReferenceException, although all of the parameters are specified, and they are not null (except for the properties of the instance, which are all null, but this can't be changed) var message = interp.Interpolate(new InterpolationInfo(Metadata.ContainerType, instance, PropertyName, a, interp, a.Message)); I know that the above is a fairly complex code for a seemingly simple question, but I'm still stuck without solution. Is there any way to get the interpolated string out of NHValidator?

  • web browser become slow or no response after several ajax calls

    - by Patrick
    I'm totally newbie to jquery and ajax, my recently project is to help the representatives (reps) to manage customer quotations online. I have a page which displays all the quotations in a big table. I've managed to use ajax to fetch and display the quotations which associate to a particular rep after i click that rep's name. But the only problem is the speed of response. The first few clicks are ok and very smooth. But after several tries, the response become slow and I cant even scroll down the webpage, and later on the web browser craches.... Please have a look at my ajax code. here it is: <!-- AJAX FETCH QUOTES DATA + Tablesorter + FIXED TABLE HEADER--> <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ $(function(){ $("a.repID").click(function(){ $('div#loader').append("<p align='center'><img src='images/loadingbar2.gif' id='loading' /></p>"); var repID = $(this).attr("title"); $.ajax({ type:'POST', url:'quote_info.php', data:'repID=' + repID, cache: false, success:function(data) { $("#container").html('<div id="content">' + data + '</div>'); $("#loading").fadeOut(500, function() {$(this).remove();}); $("#sortme").tablesorter(); $('.tbl').fixedtableheader(); } }); return false; }); }); </script> <!-- AJAX FETCH QUOTES DATA + Tablesorter + FIXED TABLE HEADER-->

  • documentFragment.cloneNode(true) doesn't clone jQuery data

    - by taber
    I have a documentFragment with several child nodes containing some .data() added like so: myDocumentFragment = document.createDocumentFragment(); for(...) { myDocumentFragment.appendChild( $('').addClass('button') .attr('href', 'javascript:void(0)') .html('click me') .data('rowData', { 'id': 103, 'test': 'testy' }) .get(0) ); } When I try to append the documentFragment to a div on the page: $('#div').append( myDocumentFragment ); I can access the data just fine: alert( $('#div a:first').data('rowData').id ); // alerts '103' But if I clone the node with cloneNode(true), I can't access the node's data. :( $('#div').append( myDocumentFragment.cloneNode(true) ); ... alert( $('#div a:first').data('rowData').id ); // alerts undefined Has anyone else done this or know of a workaround? I guess I could store the row's data in jQuery.data('#some_random_parent_div', 'rows', [array of ids]), but that kinda defeats the purpose of making the data immediately/easily available to each row. I've also read that jQuery uses documentFragments, but I'm not sure exactly how, or in what methods. Does anyone have any more details there? Thanks!

  • Capture *all* display-characters in JavaScript?

    - by Jean-Charles
    I was given an unusual request recently that I'm having the most difficult time addressing that involves capturing all display-characters when typed into a text box. The set up is as follows: I have a text box that has a maxlength of 10 characters. When the user attempts to type more than 10 characters, I need to notify the user that they're typing beyond the character count limit. The simplest solution would be to specify a maxlength of 11, test the length on every keyup, and truncate back down to 10 characters but this solution seems a bit kludgy. What I'd prefer to do is capture the character before keyup and, depending on whether or not it is a display-character, present the notification to the user and prevent the default action. A white-list would be challenging since we handle a lot of international data. I've played around with every combination of keydown, keypress, and keyup, reading event.keyCode, event.charCode, and event.which, but I can't find a single combination that works across all browsers. The best I could manage is the following that works properly in =IE6, Chrome5, FF3.6, but fails in Opera: NOTE: The following code utilizes jQuery. $(function(){ $('#textbox').keypress(function(e){ var $this = $(this); var key = ('undefined'==typeof e.which?e.keyCode:e.which); if ($this.val().length==($this.attr('maxlength')||10)) { switch(key){ case 13: //return case 9: //tab case 27: //escape case 8: //backspace case 0: //other non-alphanumeric break; default: alert('no - '+e.charCode+' - '+e.which+' - '+e.keyCode); return false; }; } }); }); I'll grant that what I'm doing is likely over-engineering the solution but now that I'm invested in it, I'd like to know of a solution. Thanks for your help!

  • jQuery dialog breaking after closing - I'm using dialog destroy

    - by pedalpete
    I've got a few demo videos I've been making as tutorials, and I'm using a link to open a dialog box and put the demo video in that box. I use the same div to show other notes on the page when a user selects to view a complete note. The code I use to show the notes is jQuery('span.Notes').live('click', function(){ var note=jQuery(this).data('note'); jQuery('div#showNote').text(note); jQuery('div#showNote').append(''); jQuery('div#showNote').dialog({ modal: true, close: function(){ jQuery('div#showNote').dialog('destroy').empty(); } }); }); The code I use for the demo videos is VERY similar. jQuery('a.demoVid').click(function(){ var videoUrl=jQuery(this).attr('href'); jQuery('div#showNote').dialog({ modal: true, height: 400, width: 480, close: function(){ jQuery('div#showNote').dialog('destroy').empty(); } }); swfobject.embedSWF(videoUrl,'showNote','480','390','8.0.0'); return false; }); I can click on as many notes as I want, and the dialog opens up and shows the note. However, when I click the demoVid, the dialog opens, but then closing the dialog kills any other 'showNote' dialogs on the page, so I can't open any more notes, or demo videos.

  • CSS / jQuery Vertically and Horizontally Center DIV

    I'm trying to vertically and horizontally center this div even when there is content to scroll and the user is scrolling down the page. The following test works fine in IE, but in Firefox I get a weird flickering affect when hovering over the thumbnail image. Any thoughts? <html> <head> <title>aj</title> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { // img preview $('.img').hover(function() { if (!$('#overlay').length) { $('<div id="overlay"/>').css({ position: 'fixed', top: 0, left: 0, width: '100%', zIndex: 100, height: $(window).height() + 'px' }).appendTo('body'); $('<div id="item" />').css({ border: '7px solid #999', height: '500px', width: '500px', top: '50%', left: '50%', position: 'absolute', marginTop: '-250px', marginLeft: '-250px' }).append('<img src="' + $(this).attr('rel') + '" alt="img" />').appendTo('#overlay'); } }, function() { $('#overlay').remove(); }); }); </script> </head> <body> <img class="img" src="http://ajondeck.net/temp/paperboy_thumb.gif" rel="http://ajondeck.net/temp/paperboy.gif" alt="image" /> </body> </html>

  • jquery filter .not()

    - by FFish
    I have a form with image thumbnails to select with checkboxes for downloading. I want an array with the images in jQuery for an Ajax call. 2 questions: - On the top of the table there is a checkbox to toggle all checkboxes that I want to exclude from the mapping. I had a look at jQuery's .not() but I can't implement it with the :checkbox selector - is the following example code correct? $(document).ready(function() { $('#myform').submit(function() { var images = $("input:checkbox", this).map(function() { return $(this).attr("name"); }).get().join(); alert(products); // outputs: ",check1,check2,check3" return false; // cancel submit action by returning false }); }); // end doc ready HTML: <form id="myform" action="" > <input type="checkbox" id="toggleCheck" onclick="toggleSelectAll()" checked="checked" ><br /> <input type="checkbox" name="001.jpg" checked="checked" /><br /> <input type="checkbox" name="002.jpg" checked="checked" /><br /> <input type="checkbox" name="003.jpg" checked="checked" /><br /> <br /> <input type="submit" value="download" > </form>

  • how to match var/id to class

    - by circey
    Hi. I'm new to jquery and, in addition, I think I'm having a brain freeze. I have a number of links with different ids. I want to match the clicked link with a div with the corresponding class so the div will show/hide/toggle as appropriate. I have: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('.folioBox').hide(); $('a.interface').click(function(){ var currentId = $(this).attr('id'); var currentBox = $('.folioBox .' + currentId); $(currentBox).toggle(400); }); }); </script> <a class="interface" id="apple">Apple flavor</a> <a class="interface" id="banana">Banana flavor</a> <a class="interface" id="cherry">Cherry flavor</a> <div class="folioBox apple">content</div> <div class="folioBox banana">content</div> <div class="folioBox cherry">content</div> I just can't get it to work and I can't figure out whether I would be best using match or find or filter. Some assistance would be much appreciated!

  • jQuery HOW TO?? pass additional parameters to success callback for $.ajax call ?

    - by dotnetgeek
    Hello jQuery Ninjas! I am trying, in vain it seems, to be able to pass additional parameters back to the success callback method that I have created for a successful ajax call. A little background. I have a page with a number of dynamically created textbox / selectbox pairs. Each pair having a dynamically assigned unique name such as name="unique-pair-1_txt-url" and name="unique-pair-1_selectBox" then the second pair has the same but the prefix is different. In an effort to reuse code, I have crafted the callback to take the data and a reference to the selectbox. However when the callback is fired the reference to the selectbox comes back as 'undefined'. I read here that it should be doable. I have even tried taking advantage of the 'context' option but still nothing. Here is the script block that I am trying to use: <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> $j = jQuery.noConflict(); function getImages(urlValue, selectBox) { $j.ajax({ type: "GET", url: $j(urlValue).val(), dataType: "jsonp", context: selectBox, success:function(data){ loadImagesInSelect(data, $j(this)) } , error:function (xhr, ajaxOptions, thrownError) { alert(xhr.status); alert(thrownError); } }); } function loadImagesInSelect(data, selectBox) { //var select = $j('[name=single_input.<?cs var:op_unique_name ?>.selImageList]'); var select = selectBox; select.empty(); $j(data).each(function() { var theValue = $j(this)[0]["@value"]; var theId = $j(this)[0]["@name"]; select.append("<option value='" + theId + "'>" + theValue + "</option>"); }); select.children(":first").attr("selected", true); } From what I have read, I feel I am close but I just cant put my finger on the missing link. Please help in your typical ninja stealthy ways. TIA

  • onfocus="this.blur();" problem

    - by carpenter
    // I am trying to apply an "onfocus="this.blur();"" so as to remove the dotted border lines around pics that are being clicked-on // the effect should be applied to all thumb-nail links/a-tags within a div.. // sudo code (where I am): $(".box a").focus( // so as to effect only a tags within divs of class=box | mousedown vs. onfocus vs. *** ?? | javascript/jquery... ??? function () { var num = $(this).attr('id').replace('link_no', ''); alert("Link no. " + num + " was clicked on, but I would like an onfocus=\"this.blur();\" effect to work here instead of the alert..."); // sudo bits of code that I'm after: // $('#link_no' + num).blur(); // $(this).blur(); // $(this).onfocus = function () { this.blur(); }; } ); // the below works for me in firefox and ie also, but I would like it to effect only a tags within my div with class="box" function blurAnchors2() { if (document.getElementsByTagName) { var a = document.getElementsByTagName("a"); for (var i = 0; i < a.length; i++) { a[i].onfocus = function () { this.blur(); }; } } }

  • scaling svg paths in Raphael 2.1

    - by user1229001
    I'm using SVG paths from a wikimedia commons map of the US. I've singled out Pennsylvania with its counties. I'm feeding the paths out of a database and using Raphael 2.1 to put them on the page. Because in the original map, Pennsylvania was so small and set at an angle, I'd like to scale up the paths and rotate Pa. so that it isn't on an angle. When I try to use Raphael's transform method, all the counties look strange and overlapped. I gave up on setting the viewBox when I heard that it doesn't work in all browsers. Anyone have any ideas? Here is my code: $(document).ready(function() { var $paths = []; //array of paths var $thisPath; //variable to hold whichever path we're drawing $.post('getmapdata.php', function(data){ var objData = jQuery.parseJSON(data); for (var i=0; i<objData.length; i++) { $paths.push(objData[i].path); //$counties.push(objData[i].name); }//end for drawMap($paths); }) function drawMap(data) { // var map = new Raphael(document.getElementById('map_div_id'),0, 0); var map = new Raphael(0, 0, 520, 320); //map.setViewBox(0,0,500,309, true); for (var i = 0; i < data.length; i++) { var thisPath = map.path(data[i]); thisPath.transform(s2); thisPath.attr({stroke:"#FFFFFF", fill:"#CBCBCB","stroke-width":"0.5"}); } //end cycling through i }//end drawMap });//end program
