  I have just installed XP Mode on our Windows 7 Computer. I need XP Mode because we have a legacy accounting program that doesn't run in Windows 7. The problem we are having is that when I run the accounting program in XP Mode it starts but then reports a connection problem. I understand that is a problem with the ODBC connection.   I am working with a RangeMax(TM) Wireless Router WPN824 v2, and it will not allow a wireless connection nor a wired connection. I am at an actual lost, with no way into the router I cannot test settings. I have unplugged it, left it off for a 32 hours, and reset it with no luck. Any ideas? Could the router just be done-zo?

It works great except the PPPoE connection in Ubuntu, when i dial in Windows my download speed reach up to 91 Mb, rebooted in Ubuntu, downloaded same file from the same server with a speed of maximum 3 Mb, cheked in Windows again 80 - 90 Mb constant. I can't figure what slow's the internet connection in Ubuntu. Anyone has an ideea on this problem ? (NO iptables configured, NO HTB, CBQ ...etc configured) . Thank you

• Server unresponsive after successful OpenSSL connection

  I'm testing server connections using OpenSSL, with varying results Server A: connection is successful, as are user login and the other commands I expected to work Server B: connection is successful, but the server is unresponsive when I try to submit a command. I don't get an error, or even a disconnection – just a blank line from where I hit Enter or ^M My hunch is that Server B's configuration requires a different character encoding or something and it's simply not recognizing my Enter keystroke, but I've looked to no avail... any suggestions would be appreciated!

I can browse a cube from BIDS on the same VM, but when I try to browse the same cube on a windows 7 (home premium) networked machine, I get a connection error.   When working from Windows, I prefer to use RoyalTS instead of the default Microsoft RDP client, because it allows me to save multiple connections, the credentials of the connection, etc; as well has having more than 1 connection open at a time. Is there a similar (or any) alternative to the Microsoft RDP client for connecting from OSX to Windows? Aside from VNC, that is; at this point I'm hoping to continue using the RDP protocol.
