    I'm trying to output in bibtex format in Django and the template looks like this: @{{ pubentry.type }{, author = {{% for author in pubentry.authors.all %}{{ author.first_name }} {{ author.middle_name }} {{ author.last_name }}{% if not forloop.last %} and {% endif %} {% endfor %}}, title = {{{ pubentry.title }}}, journal = {{{ pubentry.journal }}} } The problem is with the "{{{" or "{{%". One way to go around the problem is to add a space after the first "{", but that kind of tamper the format. What's the right way to escape { in Django templates?

  • django-admin.py startproject mysite not working well on windows 7

    Hi I'm learning django and I did successfully start a site on Window XP by following the tutorial. However, on Window 7 when I issued: django-admin.py startproject mysite python.exe was started and a window appeared to ask me to choose either python.exe or other program to open a file.... did I do anthing wrong or there are more tricks for window 7? thanks.

For this application my preference would have been to use Django but since the development- and management-team is soo heavily rooted with Microsoft the new product will have to be based on Microsoft technologies. So my question is, what setup, with Microsoft technologies, would most resemble a django setup with its MVT-design?

    I'm trying to translate a small block of text using Django's build in i18n. I have rerun compilemessages few times.

    I've made no changes to the django project after running django-admin.py startproject Twingle When I run the local web server using python manage.py runserver, I can view the splash page telling me everything is working fine. But when I try to visit that project through apache, it fails.   • Javascript table construction bug using JQuery in Firefox on Mac OSX

    I'm using some code to build up tables using JQuery, but in Firefox 3.5.3 on Mac OSX, the table cells all appear on separate lines by themselves, instead of in their respective rows. Chrome 5.0.342.7 beta on OSX correctly produces the table, as does Safari 4.0.5. Here is a minimal reproduction case: <html> <body> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { var b = $('body'); b.append("<table>"); for (var i = 0; i < 3; ++i) { b.append("<tr>"); for (var j = 0; j < 3; ++j) b.append("<td>x</td>"); b.append("</tr>"); } b.append("</table>"); }); </script> </body> </html> In Chrome and Safari, I get this correct output: x x x x x x x x x but Firefox produces: x x x x x x x x x Note that if I manually create that exact table without using Javascript (i.e. direct into the HTML) then the table appears correctly in Firefox. Also, if I change the JS to append then entire table in one call then it also works -- the only time it doesn't work is if you append it part-by-part as I have done before. My question is: is this to be expected, or should I report this as a bug to Firefox? I'm pretty sure this is a Firefox bug, but I'm a bit of a newbie to JS and web development in general, so perhaps there's something I'm missing? P.S. obviously there are easy ways to get around this -- that's not my concern. See above.

  • Make a table start on the same line as header

    I am trying to get a table of icons appear on the same line as the header. In the HTML below, the icons appear on a separate line. I tried using 'top' attribute to move the table, but this is not a good solution because then there's an ugly space between the icons table and the rest of the document.     How can I send trace messages to the console (like print) when I'm running my Django app under manage.py runserver, but have those messages sent to a log file when I'm running the app under Apache? I reviewed Django logging and although I was impressed with its flexibility and configurability for advanced uses, I'm still stumped with how to handle my simple use-case. My apologies for not being able to find the answer elsewhere-- this is a newbie question I know.

  • Create table with PHP and populate from MySQL

    Hi all, I am creating a table to display on a web page and that table is populated from data in a MySQL database. I am trying to do a couple of things that are making it difficult for me. First I am trying to have call the PHP code that exists in a separate file in HTML via JavaScript. I think I have that working right but I am not 100% sure (because the table will not display). I think it is working right because some of the code for the table (which is in the PHP file) displays in FireBug. Second I am trying to make it so the rows alternate colors for easy viewing too. My PHP code so far is below.     I'm implementing StructureMap in a multi-tenant ASP.NET MVC application to inject instances of my tenant repositories that retrieve data based on an ITenantContext interface. The Tenant in question is determined from RouteData in a base controller's OnActionExecuting. How do I tell StructureMap to construct TenantContext(tenantID); where tenantID is derived from my RouteData or some base controller property? Base Controller Given the following route: {tenant}/{controller}/{action}/{id} My base controller retrieves and stores the correct Tenant based on the {tenant} URL parameter. Using Tenant, a repository with an ITenantContext can be constructed to retrieve only data that is relevant to that tenant. Based on the other DI questions, could AbstractFactory be a solution?
