    I have a tar archive in which I have a directory which I need to extract in a given directory. For example: I have a directory TarPrefix/x/y/z in a tar archive I want to extract it in a given target directory for example: extracted/a/ this directory should contain all the files and directories contained in directory TarPrefix/x/y/z. subdir_and_files = [ tarinfo for tarinfo in tar.getmembers() if tarinfo.name.startswith("subfolder/") ] to get the list of all the members in the directory path "subfolder/" and then I extract it using tar.extractall(extracted/a,subdir_and_files) but it extracts all the members with their directory path For example this results in extracted/a/x/y/z. Could you please help me in extracting these files in the given folder.

  • coldfusion class path for multiple services - only recognizing first directory

    Hi, I am trying to use multiple web services on a single CF page. I have entered the stubs directory for each of the web services in the ColdFusion Class Path within administrator server settings java and jvm paths are listed separated by commas: c:\coldfusion9\stubs\ws1,c:\coldfusion9\stubs\ws2 for some reason, only the web service whose stub path is listed first will work. When I try to call the second web service, I get a "web service operation ... cannot be found" but if i switch the order of paths listed in the admin settings and restart the service, the web service listed first now will work. any ideas on how to manage multiple web services and their stubs ? thanks!

  • Just an experiment changing the application data path

    When I change the Appication Data path in windows xp registry to a network folder I get this error message on the next system startup: "windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you with the default profile system" The registry keys are: "[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders]" "[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]" under the names "AppData" and "Local AppData" I dont care if "Windows logins you with the default profile system" but is there a way to disable that message, or change the message timeout form 30 seconds to 0?,or maybe create an script that changes the Application Data path every system startup? P.S. The computer with the shared folder is always on.

I have to open many files in many directories, and sometimes I forget what directory they are in. Just easier to display the some of the path in the status bar if that is possible. Sometimes my directory paths are very long. for example /projects/clientserver/trunk/src/client/client.c like this in the status bar, just display the last two directories. /src/client/client.c Many thanks for any suggestions,

    I have made a Java Swing Desktop application in Netbeans which can play media files I have put the videos in my workspace resources location and in my java program I am calling those media files using an URL which is something like this: C:/users/Dell/My Documents /NetBeansProjects/Media/src/resources/ MediaFiles/ddd.mpg This works well when I run in my IDE and also i have made Jar for this it works well on my computer but the problem is when i copy this jar file on my friends system the interface is coming but when I click a button to play a media file it says: C:/users/Dell/MyDocuments/NetBeansProjects/Media/src/resources/ MediaFiles/ddd.mpg does not exist So, please provide me a solution of how to set the default path so that when I run a jar file on other systems it should play the media file location I am passing as in my program. How to set the path for the location of media files in program? Update The videos are in the jar file.

  • wordpress path url in js script file

    I added custom script wp_enqueue_script('functions', get_bloginfo('template_url') . '/js/functions.js', 'search', null, false); works great, except in the functions.js i have Reset.style.background = "url('../images/searchfield_clear.png') no-repeat top left"; now this used to work before, until changed to pretty permalinks and .htaccess the folder hierarchy is like: themename/js themename/images (the images and js folder are in themename folder) i tried ../images - ./image - /images normally it should go back 1 level where-ever the js file is located.... i dont want to use full path is there a other way that wordpress can recognize in the javascript file to have the correct path? currently i am just confused what i am doing wrong

    I have a number of linked resources (text files in this case) in a C# project I am working on. I know the resources are linked via relative path in the Resources file. Is there any way to get that relative path from within the C# code? If there isn't, what I am trying to do is to pass that resources file to an external application as a commandline argument. If I can't do it the first way (which would obviously be the easiest) any other suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Can I use htaccess to capture requests from a certain subdirectory and make that directory use itself as the root directory for any root relative path requests? For example if I have... http://www.example.com/subFIXED/subANY/restofpath ...where subFIXED is always the same directory, subANY is any immediate subdirectory of subFIXED, and I want a redirection of all href/src requests from any file under subANY to use subANY as the 'root' (sort of like a subdomain), in effect having root level requests use this as the root directory level: http://www.example.com/subFIXED/subANY/ Instead of this: http://www.example.com/ I'm assuming I can put an htaccess file in subFIXED to handle all calls coming from anything under any subANY, but not being very familiar with htaccess rewriting, variables, etc., I can't figure out how to capture which subANY directory is making the root level request and then use that capture to make a rewrite to consider that directory the root level of any root relative path requests from it.     hi, I have a wxPython application. I am taking in a directory path from a textbox using GetValue(). I notice that while trying to parse in the directory path "C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Desktop\InputFile.xls", python sees the string as 'C:\\Documents and Settings\UserName\\Desktop\\InputFile.xls' (missing a slash between "Settings" and "UserName). Why is it that only that slash is not correctly escaped? Once the string has been changed to 'C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Desktop\InputFile.xls', is there a type conversion or function that can does this properly? Thanks.

    Hi friends, I am working on a website in a CMS site. I have provided a link in my footer file e.g blogs.php. This page is at the root like "http://www.example.com/new_cms/blogs.php" When I moves to other files link like "http://www.example.com/new_cms/forums" the footer link is changed to "http://www.example.com/new_cms/forums/blogs.php" but the blogs.php page resides at path "http://www.example.com/new_cms/" . I tried different $_SERVER[] variables but got no luck to get the above path "http://www.example.com/new_cms/" means the server name with the directory where the project is currently running from. Any one have idea how to get it done will be a great help. Thanks

    I have this weird issue,when I use > File FileToRead = new File("\\\\MYSERVER\\MYFOLDER\\MYFOLDER\\MYPICTURE.JPG"); to read a file over a network,all I get is a null pointer exception.Normally a local path works with this,but when on a network path,I just couldn't manage to get it to work.Any ideas? PS:oh and my network connection seems to work,no issues when accessing data in windows explorer...     Windows 7 (and probably Windows Vista) display localized folder names using the LocalizedResourceName entry in the desktop.ini file. For my Documents folder, this looks like [.ShellClassInfo] LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21770 IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-112 IconFile=%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll IconIndex=-235 (see this question) This way the explorer displays the path "C:\Users\Username\Documents" as "C:\Benutzer\Username\Dokumente" on a german Windows. I wonder, if there's any build-in shell function to automatically get this localized name or, even better, transform a whole path into its localized form (best would be anything in .NET)? This is even more interesting as the LocalizedResourceName entry is only documented for Windows CE (see here). Thanks Martin

I've seen many answers to this question involving find/ls/stat/readlink and $PWD, but none that suits my need. It looks like the closest answer is ksh's "whence" command, but I need it to work in sh/bash. Assume a file, foo.txt, is located in my home directory, /Users/matthew/foo.txt. I need the following behavior, despite what my current working directory is (I'm calling the command "abs"): (PWD is ~) $ abs foo.txt /Users/matthew/foo.txt $ abs ~/foo.txt /Users/matthew/foo.txt $ abs ./foo.txt /Users/matthew/foo.txt $ abs /Users/matthew/foo.txt /Users/matthew/foo.txt What would "abs" really be?     I did a port install for gcc version 4.7.1 (MacPorts gcc47 4.7.1_2) I named the executable as g+ and placed it in one my $PATH. I use gcc 4.7.1 when I need c++11 standard. I haven't changed the original g++ so as not messup XCode. I am using eclipse-cdt and running the make all from the window.   • What is the standard place for static library files on Unix/Ubuntu

    Hi, I am trying to install a library manually, well actually just put it in a sensible location preferably in my LIB path. I have a lib[...].a file and a bunch of headers pertaining to that static library file. If I look under /usr/lib/ I see only .so files, likewise for /lib/, /lib32/ etc. I figure I could chuck it in there, but is there any place where it can get cozy with other .a files or is that as good place as any? I'm not an library expert, but I'm pretty sure it won't matter functionally, but I'd like to learn conventional best practice. Also, where is the standard place to put the headers? Thanks!
