But in C#, that need has also been reduced by lately introduced extension methods. So, in C#, when should we use abstract classes instead of using interfaces and extension methods associated with the interface? And now, we can use 'Properties' in interfaces also.     For a penetration test where I have shell access to a computer running an old Windows, I'd like to forward port 4450 to 127.0.0.1:445 because the firewall is blocking 445 externally. I'm stuck on the following: plink -L 4450:127.0.0.1:445 SSH-Server According to the documentation I've found, I'd have to specify a SSH-Server. But all documentation I've found just uses an SSH-Server in the same network. To forward it to a localhost port, that wouldn't help. Do I have to install an SSH-Server on that machine or are there other ways?

But, should we keep test cases as functions for a scalable automation framework or should be keep test cases as separate classes(each having their own setup, run and teardown methods) ?   • Email server can send internal, but messages never arrive at external recipients

    I'm running MailEnable on my server, and have been for many years. Recently we had an attack on our server, and I was able to close the hole. Since then, our mail server doesn't seem to be sending mail out. If I send an email from myself to another account hosted on the server, the email arrives as expected. If I send an email from my gmail account to my business account, the email also arrives as expected The problem comes when I send from my business account to an external domain I tried the following Gmail.com Hotmail.com Shaw.ca When I send to any of the above The message leaves my client as expected, The logs appear to accept and forward on the message The SMTP outbound que is empty The message never arrives I have checked our domain with mxtoolbox.com senderbase.org And neither of them are reporting any problems with our domain.   • Using DLLEXPORT to export DLL function With Class to C#

    In my previous revision game engine I deported major functions for the game editor for C#. Now, I'm beginning to revise the game engine with a static library. There's a already dynamic library created in C++ to use DLLEXPORT for C#. Just now I want to test out the newer functions and created a DLL file from C++. Because the DLL contains classes I was wondering how would I be able to use DLL Export. Would I do this: [DLLEXPORT("GameEngine.dll", EntryPoint="SomeClass", Conventional=_stdcall)] static extern void functionFromClass(); I have a feeling it's probably DLLImport and not DLLExport. I was wondering how would I go about this? Another way I was thinking was because I already have the DLL in C++ prepared already to go the C# Class Library. I could just keep the new engine as a lib, and link the lib with the old DLL C++ file. Wouldn't the EntryPoint be able to point to the class the function is in?

    I have a virtualised infrastructure here, with separated networks (some physically, some just by VLAN) for iSCSI traffic, VMware management traffic, production traffic, etc. The recommendations are of course to not allow access from the LAN to the iSCSI network for example, for obvious security and performance reasons, and same between DMZ/LAN, etc. The problem I have is that in reality, some services do need access across the networks from time to time: System monitoring server needs to see the ESX hosts and the SAN for SNMP VSphere guest console access needs direct access to the ESX host the VM is running on VMware Converter wants access to the ESX host the VM will be created on The SAN email notification system wants access to our mail server Rather than wildly opening up the entire network, I'd like to place a firewall spanning these networks, so I can allow just the access required For example: SAN SMTP Server for email Management SAN for monitoring via SNMP Management ESX for monitoring via SNMP Target Server ESX for VMConverter Can someone recommend a free firewall that will allow this kind of thing without too much low-level tinkering of config files? I've used products such as IPcop before, and it seems to be possible to achieve this using that product if I re-purpose their ideas of "WAN", "WLAN" (the red/green/orange/blue interfaces), but was wondering if there were any other accepted products for this sort of thing.   • Redirect local, not internal, requests using SuSEfirewall2 or an iptables rule

    I have a server that is running a web application deployed on Tomcat and is sitting in a test network. We're running SuSE 11 sp1 and have some redirection rules for incoming requests. For example we don't bind port 80 in Tomcat's server.xml file, instead we listen on port 9600 and have a configuration line in SuSEfirewall2 to redirect port 80 to 9640. This is because Tomcat doesn't run as root and can't open up port 80. My web application needs to be able to make requests to port 80 since that is the port it will be using when deployed. What rule can I add so that local requests get redirected by iptables? I tried looking at this question: How do I redirect one port to another on a local computer using iptables? but suggestions there didn't seem to help me. I tried running tcpdump on eth0 and then connecting to my local IP address (not 127.0.0.1, but the actual address) but I didn't see any activity. I did see activity if I connected from an external machine. Then I ran tcmpdump on lo, again tried to connect and this time I saw activity. So this leads me to believe that any requests made to my own IP address locally aren't getting handled by iptables.   • How to set Grub to automatically load Xen kernel

    How do you configure Grub to automatically use the Xen kernel under Ubuntu 11.10? No matter what I do, it loads the first menuentry. The only way I can get it to load Xen is to manually select the kernel, which I can't do if I have to reboot the server remotely, or there's a power failure and the machine automatically boots up when power's restored, etc. It's driving me nuts. In my /boot/grub/grub.cfg, the Xen kernel is at index 4 (i.e. it's the 5th menuentry). So I've tried: Setting GRUB_DEFAULT=4, and running sudo update-grub Setting GRUB_DEFAULT=saved and GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true, and running sudo update-grub Setting GRUB_DEFAULT="Ubuntu GNU/Linux, with Xen 4.1-amd64 and Linux 3.0.0-16-server", and running sudo update-grub None of these work. It continues to load the first menuentry, which is "Ubuntu, with Linux 3.0.0-16-server". Below is my current /boot/grub/grub.cfg.   • Why my internal hard disk can be ejected?

    I have 6 hard disks in my computer and one DVD. The disk that I connect to the 6th SATA port is a regular disk. But my Windows 7 64 bit shows it as a removable drive. I can eject my hard disk! Just like a pen drive. If I connect another disk to the 6th port, I can eject that disk too. So it has nothing to do with the physical disk, it must be something related to Windows or BIOS I don't understand why Windows 7 is seeing a normal hard disk as removable. In Computer Management - Disk Management, the disk looks identical to the others - there is nothing there to suggest the drive is different from the others. But in the tray I have the icon to eject it. The motherboard model is ASUS F2A85 V PRO FM2. All the disks are formatted normally, no Dynamic Disk, no RAID, nothing special. How can I tell Windows 7 to treat the disk exactly like the others, so it can't be ejected?

My issue is: When I execute my program in debug mode, MyEclipse go to sun.misc.URLClassPath class and I must Resume breakpoint(by pressing F8 key) and continue executing my program. MyEclipse stay in URLClassPath class in following thread stack: 1. URLClassPath$JarLoader.<init>(URL, URLStreamHandler, HashMap) line: 581 2. URLClassPath$JarLoader.ensureOpen() line: 631 3. URLClassPath$JarLoader.getJarFile(URL) line: 641 4. URLClassPath$JarLoader.ensureOpen() line: 631 Note: this event happen when some jar file exist in my project Build-Path but when my application is simple this problem don't make and first breakpoint is my first breakpoint. Why this event happened?

But i don't want this mimicked constructor to be called. Can anyone give me the correct construction to do this if this is at all possible?

  • Internal Website links only working for some users

    We are having a very hard time trying to figure out this problem or the root cause. Our website www. countrymusicislove .com is only correctly displaying the homepage for some users. Anytime they click on a post, about me, etc, a 404 error page is displayed. Everything worked fine before we moved over to a new hosting company 2 weeks ago. I am looking for any ideas and even willing to pay someone to troubleshoot and fix this issue as no one seems to have an answer. The entire website is done in the latest version of wordpress. The old website address for the website is http://siteground243.com/~countr10/ And the domain name was registered through google for enom.com Everything is now going through Arvixe.com On my work computer, I am able to get the 404 error to appear on other pages by turning on friendly error messages. When I turn off friendly error messages, everything seems to work. I have tried this several times and it doesn't seem like a coincidence.

  • Making internal website available publicly (Win 2008 Server)

    I have an IIS 7 web site that is running on a Windows 2008 Server (64-bit) VMWare on a Windows 2008 Server (64-bit) Host on my local network. My router is a Firebox XEdge and it has port 80 directed to the IP of the server on VMWare. I can reach the web site from inside the network, but I cannot reach the site from outside the network. I have other web sites that are working through the Firebox, and I am confident that it is configured correctly. I suspect that Windows 2008 server is blocking routed or public addresses, but I have shut down the firewall on the Server that is running on VMWare and the AVG Anti-virus to no avail. How can I make my site available publicly.

  • How to leverage the internal HTTP endpoint available on Azure web roles?

    Imagine you have a Web application using an in-memory collection that changes occasionally but is used very often. The collection gets loaded from storage on the Application_Start global.asax event and is updated whenever its content changes. If you want to deploy this application on Azure you need to keep in mind that more than one instance of the application can be running at any time and therefore you need to provide some mechanism to keep all instances informed with the latest changes. Because the communication through internal endpoints between Azure role instances is at no cost, a good solution can be maintaining the information on Azure Storage Tables, reading its contents on the Application_Start event and populating its changes to all other instances using the internal HTTP port available on Azure Web Roles. You need to follow these steps to leverage the internal HTTP endpoint available on Azure web roles to maintain all instances up to date. 1.   Define an internal HTTP endpoint in the Web Role properties, for example InternalHttpEndpoint   2.   Add a new WCF service to the Web Role, for example NotificationService.svc 3.   Disable multiple site bindings in web.config: <serviceHostingEnvironment multipleSiteBindingsEnabled="false"> 4.   Add a method on the new service to receive notifications from other role instances. namespace Service { [ServiceContract] public interface INotificationService { [OperationContract(IsOneWay = true)] void Notify(Information info); } } 5.   Declare a class that inherits from System.ServiceModel.Activation.ServiceHostFactory and override the method CreateServiceHost to host the internal endpoint. public class InternalServiceFactory : ServiceHostFactory { protected override ServiceHost CreateServiceHost(Type serviceType, Uri[] baseAddresses) { var internalEndpointAddress = string.Format( "http://{0}/NotificationService.svc", RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance.InstanceEndpoints["InternalHttpEndpoint"].IPEndpoint); ServiceHost host = new ServiceHost( typeof(NotificationService), new Uri(internalEndpointAddress)); BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding(SecurityMode.None); host.AddServiceEndpoint( typeof(INotificationService), binding, internalEndpointAddress); return host; } } Note that you can use SecurityMode.None because the internal endpoint is private to the instances of the service. 6.   Edit the markup of the service right clicking the svc file and selecting "View markup" to add the new factory as the factory to be used to create the service <%@ ServiceHost Language="C#" Debug="true" Factory="Service.InternalServiceFactory" Service="Service.NotificationService" CodeBehind="NotificationService.svc.cs" %> 7.   Now you can notify changes to other instances using this code: var current = RoleEnvironment.CurrentRoleInstance; var endPoints = current.Role.Instances .Where(instance => instance != current) .Select(instance => instance.InstanceEndpoints["InternalHttpEndpoint"]); foreach (var ep in endPoints) { EndpointAddress address = new EndpointAddress( String.Format("http://{0}/NotificationService.svc", ep.IPEndpoint)); BasicHttpBinding binding = new BasicHttpBinding(SecurityMode.None); var factory = new ChannelFactory<INotificationService>(binding); INotificationService instance = factory.CreateChannel(address); instance.Notify(changedinfo); }
