  Hi, I love my Mac. But I have always found that my DNS lookups are as slow, even while flushing caches and I travel over know roads on the Internet. I was wondering if someone would know something a bit more automatic/intelligent than /etc/hosts and less complex and iron forged as BIND. Thank you for your feedback and answers!

• Restoring Typus plugin after changing DB Schema

  I installed Typus plugin (http://intraducibles.com/projects/typus) for my app and I love it. But along the development of the app I frequently do migrations and change the DB Schema and relationships, and then the plugin fails. Is there a way to re-generate the plugin with the new schema? • Windows7 run as admin with password

  I love running as a standard user for its security pluses, my admin account is password protected. The problem appears when I need to run a program that requires admin rights, is there a way to include the password somehow so I won't have to type it every time ? Without changing my current setup: admin password protected account and I log on to a limited standard user account. I'm thinking of script or something like that ?

• How can I test email generating without creating and checking 1,000 addresses?

  I am working on generating emails using Java. I would love to use some sort of system where I can send out mass emails and ensure that the emails were received by the intended recipient (A. My code to send the emails worked and B.The emails were not marked as spam). How can I do this without setting up (and keeping track of) a couple hundred email addresses and then checking each one individually? Thanks!

I am sure that quite a few people love the framework but I am unclear on the advantages and disadvantages. • VIM Flashing Issue

  I'm SSH'ing in from my mac OSX (10.6.8) to a school server running centOS5 and when I attempt to use VIM, it won't stop flashing inside the mac terminal. Any idea's on how to fix this? Keep in my mind I do not have the authority to modify any /etc files or /bin files on the server, although I believe I can locally on my user. Also I would love to see anyone's really cool .vimrc config file they want to share.

• Entity framework: Need a easy going, clean database migration solution.

  I'm using entity framework model first development, and I need to do database migration often, The EF database generation power pack doesn't help a lot, because that data migration never worked here. The database migration here I mean, change the model, and then I can update the existing database from the model, but creating a new one. Is there any free of charge tool here invented here yet? Or would this going to be a new feature of next EF release? PS: I love django's ORM.

  Hi All I have a little app here, and I would love to be able to do my own stuff in Vista/Win7 when I shake the form. Currently, when a form is shaken, it will restore/minimize everything else. But I want to change that behavior in my app only. So when my form is shaken, I could, for example, shuffle the playlist, or Clear the contents of a Canvas etc... Is this possible? Thank you

• Joomla Mailto Component unable to send mails occassionally

  Greetings, I will certainly hope someone will be able to provide some enlightenment to my problem. Currently, I have 2 joomla sites, layout and menus are a replicate of the other. I noticed that on both Joomla, I will occasionally encounter "Unable to send mail" after a form submission. Is this the fault of my server, or the fault of Joomla's PHP Mailer ? I will certainly love to approach my hosting company for a solution but I do not want to place a false accusation on them.

I'd like to get their content, base64 encoded preferably, without the need to redownload the image (ie. it's already loaded by the browser, so now I want the content).
