  • Visual Studio 2008: Start custom build target via project/solution context menu - without add-in

    - by Achim
I have a custom build target in a visual studio 2008 c# project. Is there a simple way to add a context menu item to the project, so that the custom build target can be executed via the ide? The build target is not integrated into the default build process and has to be started by hand. This step should be simple for all developers and should not force them to execute msbuild from the command line. Any hint for a simple, working solution? regards, Achim

  • Progress bar in data grid view

    - by Pat
Is there a way to have a progress bar in a cell in a DataGridView? At design time, you can add a TextBox, Button, Image, Link, ComboBox, or CheckBox, but not a ProgessBar. Is there a better control in WPF that will allow this?

  • WinForms Menu Toolstrip Get Status

    - by Yeti
So I have a project where there is some automatic initialization going on through some classes that are created automatically as global variables (yeah they are static instances). At a point inside this (it has no relation with the C# GUI for the user, so it isn't derived from any C# class) I need to see if a flag is set or not. I use toolstrip menu with checked and unchecked status in order to set or unset the flag. The problem is that I have difficulties to see if the flag is checked or not from this static class. My class is inside a different project/namespace and a DLL is created what later is linked to the GUI of the application. The GUI depends from this Manager class so making the Manager class to depend from the GUI is not an option. Nevertheless, I should be able to see its state knowing its name or through some other means. I have tried the following: if(Application.OpenForms[1].Owner.Controls["useLocalImageForInitToolStripMenuItem"].Enabled) { }; Now the problem is that on the upper code snippet I get a nasty error. So how do I do this? The toolstrip menu: The error: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ***** Exception Text ******* System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. • iPhone UIViewController goes under status bar

    - by Mantas
I have UIView and UIController view. My is standard 320x460 view. In applicationDidFinishLaunching I do [window addSubview:[controller view]]; What is weird, UIView goes under the status bar (like there's missing outlet). However, if I rotate iPhone to the side and then back, it shows up ok. Is this an expected behavior (I bet I can ix it by setting offset) or am I doing smth wrong?

  • z-index issues with jQuery Tabs, Superfish Menu

    - by NightMICU
Hi all, For the life of me I cannot get my Superfish menu to stop hiding behind my jQuery UI tabs in IE 7. I have read the documentation out there, have tried changing z-index values and tried the bgIframe plugin, although I am not sure if I am implementing it correctly (left out in my example below, using Supersubs). Here is the Javascript I am using for Superfish - using the Supersubs plugin: $(document).ready(function() { $("ul.sf-menu").supersubs({ minWidth: 12, // minimum width of sub-menus in em units maxWidth: 27, // maximum width of sub-menus in em units extraWidth: 1 // extra width can ensure lines don't sometimes turn over // due to slight rounding differences and font-family }).superfish({ delay: 1000, // one second delay on mouseout animation: {opacity:'show',height:'show'}, // fade-in and slide-down animation speed: 'medium' // faster animation speed }); }); And here is the structure of my page: <div id="page-container"> <div id="header"></div> <div id="nav-admin"> <!-- This is where Superfish goes --> </div> <div id="header-shadow"></div> <div id="content"> <div id="admin-main"> <div id="tabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#tabs-1">Tab 1</a></li> <li><a href="#tabs-2">Tab 2</a></li> </ul> <div id="tabs-1"> <!-- Content for Tab 1 --> </div> <div id="tabs-2"> <!-- Content for Tab 2 --> </div> </div> </div> </div> <div id="footer-shadow"></div> <div id="footer"> <div id="alt-nav"> <?php include $_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'] . '/includes/altnav.inc.php'; //CHANGE WHEN UPLOADED TO MATCH DOCUMENT ROOT ?> </div> </div> </div>

  • Force scope bar below UISearchBar

    - by axiixc
I have a UISearchBar and UISearchDisplayController, everything works great but my scope selector displays beside the text field instead of below it. I know that this is the expected action when the device is in landscape, but since I have the UISearchBar in the master view of a UISplitViewController it ends up looking like this http://cl.ly/BN9 Is there any way to force the scope bar to display below the text field in all interface orientations (I know that this works nicely in Mail.app on the iPad, so its possibly, but who knows if Apple decided to hide the option to do so)

  • iphone initializing tab bar controller view programatically

    - by unsorted
I want to initialize my tab bar controller programatically, but I just get a blank screen with the code I have. I tried to imitate TheElements sample app, and stuff seems comparable going line-by-line, but obviously something's wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks... In main.m: #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { NSAutoreleasePool * pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; int retVal = UIApplicationMain(argc, argv, nil, @"DubbleWrapAppDelegate"); [pool release]; return retVal; } In DubbleWrapAppDelegate.h: @interface DubbleWrapAppDelegate : NSObject <UIApplicationDelegate, UITabBarControllerDelegate> { UIWindow *window; UITabBarController *tabBarController; } @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UIWindow *window; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UITabBarController *tabBarController; @end In DubbleWrapAppDelegate.m: @implementation DubbleWrapAppDelegate @synthesize window; @synthesize tabBarController; - init { if (self = [super init]){ // initialize to nil window = nil; tabBarController = nil; } return self; } - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application { SafeTableViewController *vc1 = [[SafeTableViewController alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStylePlain]; [vc1 setSafeItems:[SafeItem knownSafeItems]]; // Set the list of known SafeItems: UINavigationController *nc1; nc1 = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:vc1]; [vc1 release]; BoxXRayTableViewController *vc2 = [[BoxXRayTableViewController alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewStylePlain]; UINavigationController *nc2; nc2 = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:vc2]; [vc2 release]; AboutLibertyViewController *vc3 = [[AboutLibertyViewController alloc] init]; UINavigationController *nc3; nc3 = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:vc3]; [vc3 release]; NSArray* controllers = [NSArray arrayWithObjects:nc1, nc2, nc3, nil]; tabBarController = [[UITabBarController alloc] init]; tabBarController.viewControllers = controllers; [controllers release]; // Add the tab bar controller's current view as a subview of the window window = [[[UIWindow alloc] initWithFrame:[[UIScreen mainScreen] bounds]] autorelease]; [window setBackgroundColor:[UIColor redColor]]; [window addSubview:tabBarController.view]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; [nc1 release]; [nc2 release]; [nc3 release]; } The plist is set so that there is no NIB file referenced.

  • View controller is drawing under my navigation bar after popping ttthumbsviewcontroller

    - by scootklein
I'm implementing the TTThumbsViewController from the Three20 project and things are finally starting to take shape. I push the TTThumbsViewController from the current view controller by just pushing it onto the current stack and animate the transition (common navigation controller push). My problem is that when I pop the TThumbsViewController view controller, the navigation controller is stuck in a mode where its view controllers are drawn UNDER the navigation bar (which is now translucent). Start Push Pop

  • Progress Bar not updating

    - by Bailz
    I have the following piece of code to write data to an XML file. private void WriteResidentData() { int count = 1; status = "Writing XML files"; foreach (Site site in sites) { try { //Create the XML file StreamWriter writer = new StreamWriter(path + "\\sites\\" + site.title + ".xml"); writer.WriteLine("<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"ISO-8859-1\" ?>"); writer.WriteLine("<customer_list>"); foreach (Resident res in site.GetCustomers()) { bw.ReportProgress((count / customers) * 100); writer.WriteLine("\t<customer>"); writer.WriteLine("\t\t<customer_reference>" + res.reference + "</customer_reference>"); writer.WriteLine("\t\t<customer_name>" + res.name + "</customer_name>"); writer.WriteLine("\t\t<customer_address>" + res.address + "</customer_address>"); writer.WriteLine("\t\t<payment_method>" + res.method + "</payment_method>"); writer.WriteLine("\t\t<payment_cycle>" + res.cycle + "</payment_cycle>"); writer.WriteLine("\t\t<registered>" + CheckWebStatus(res.reference) + "</registered>"); writer.WriteLine("\t</customer>"); count++; } writer.WriteLine("</customer_list>"); writer.Close(); } catch (Exception ex) { lastException = ex; } } } It's using the same BackgroundWorker that gets the data from the database. My progress bar properly displays the progress whilst it is reading from the database. However, after zeroing the progress bar for the XML writing it simply sits at 0 even though the process is completing correctly. Can anyone suggest why?

  • Problem in vertical navigation menu using css sprites

    - by ShiVik
    Hello all I am trying to create to a vertical navigation menu using CSS sprites. I want to put in it a hover effect where the menu option slides out a bit. a:link { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 150px; } a:hover { background: url(images/nav.png); background-position: -100px 0px; width: 160px; } So I am using the same image, I am just increasing its size to create a pop out effect. But my problem is that right now the image's size is increasing to the right. I want to keep the image's base aligned and its head should pop out. Here's my complete css code: #navmenu { left: 100px; margin: 0; padding: 0; position: absolute; top: 150px; width: 150px; z-index: 99; } #navmenu ul { list-style-type: none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; } #navmenu ul li { line-height: 1.5em; padding: 0px; } #navimenu ul li a { color: black; display: block; font-weight: bold; height: 26px; padding: 0px 15px 0px 0px; text-align: right; width: 150px; } #navmenu a:link, #navmenu a:visited { background: url(images/nav.png) no-repeat; background-position: -150px 0px; width: 150px; } #navmenu a:hover { background: url(images/nav.png) no-repeat; background-position: -150px 0px; width: 160px; } Don't know how much if I've put the problem correctly but can somebody help me out here? Thanks

  • How to change the title bar text of Visual Studio

    - by ProfK
We work on several different branches of the same code, and when working on two branches at once, it can become confusing and time wasting. Presently, the VS title bar has the text <solution-name> - Visual Studio. Is it possible for me to write an extension that will make that text <solution-name>: <branch-name> - <Visual Studio>?

  • Custom title bar without padding (Android)

    - by Casebash
So I am using the techniques in this thread to use a custom background for my titlebar. Unfortunately the framework places my layout inside a FrameLayout which has padding and so the image doesn't cover the whole bar, but instead has gray borderes. Is there anyway to remove this padding? I can't just set the padding attributes because I do not create the frame layout.

  • Android - incremental status bar notification icon

    - by DroidIn.net
You know what I'm talking about: for example when you get multiple new emails the notification icon in the status bar is augmented with a little red circle that contains number of unread mails. Twitroid has the same icon. Any idea how it's done? I don't think (or so I hope) there are 10000 similar icons. Is this red circle generated and overlaid the notification icon? If so - any code snippets will be much appreciated.
