  • php read CSV with various amount of delimiters

    I've got a script that reads in from a CSV file and sometimes the CSV files it receives contains an uneven amount of delimiters/columns so the first row could have 30 columns, the 2nd could have 20, etc. I can think of a few solutions myself ie: Count the delimiters in the widest row, then append the proper amount to each row that is short to make them even. But I was wondering if anyone had a more elegant method of doing this.

  • poplib and email module will not reloop through a message if it has alread read it

    I'm currently trying to write a script that gets messages from my gmail account but I'm noticing a problem. If poplib loops through a message in my inbox it will never loop through it again.   • Read Core data in Serial Queue for iPhone app

    I have an app which uses Core data and the values are fetched from a link on internet. This runs absolutely fine when I am creating a serial queue in AppDelegate and I am not facing any problem with the same. Now, when I am trying to re-create similar scenario in a UITableViewController and executing the same in a serial queue but when the control reaches NSError *error; NSArray *match = [context executeFetchRequest:fetchRequest error:&error]; execution control disappears and then this code remains in the execution till eternity. Can anyone help me with what exactly is wrong here? FYI, I am passing the same ManagedObjectContext to the serial queue.

  • Boost Shared Pointer: Simultaneous Read Access Across Multiple Threads

    I have a thread A which allocates memory and assigns it to a shared pointer. Then this thread spawns 3 other threads X, Y and Z and passes a copy of the shared pointer to each. When X, Y and Z go out of scope, the memory is freed. But is there a possibility that 2 threads X, Y go out of scope at the exact same point in time and there is a race condition on reference count so instead of decrementing it by 2, it only gets decremented once. So, now the reference count newer drops to 0, so there is a memory leak. Note that, X, Y and Z are only reading the memory. Not writing or resetting the shared pointer. To cut a long story short, can there be a race condition on the reference count and can that lead to memory leaks?

    I am reading a file that sometimes has chinese and characters of languages other than english. How can I write a regex that only reads english words/letters? should it just be /^[a-zA-Z]+/ ? If I do the above then words like eété will still be picked but I don't want them to be picked: "été".match(/^[a-zA-Z]+/) => #nil good I didnt want that word "eété".match(/^[a-zA-Z]+/) => #not nil tricked into picking something i did not want

    In window, i can get the date created of the video from properties(right click). I have a few idea on this but i dont know how to do it. 1. Get the video information directly from video(like in windows), 2. By extracting the video name to get the date created(The video's name is in date format, which is the time it created). And i also using taglib-sharp to get the video duration and resolution, but i cant find any sample code on how to get the video creation date. Note: video name in date format - example, 20121119_125550.avi Edit Found this code and so far its working string fileName = Server.MapPath("//video//20121119_125550.avi"); FileInfo fileInfo = new FileInfo(fileName); DateTime creationTime = fileInfo.CreationTime; Output: 2012/11/19 12:55:50 For the file's name, i will add another string in name.     I want to write a Python script that searches all folders in the current directory, looks for all .txt files, and creates a file that is a concatenation of all those files (in any order) in the current directory. If folders have subfolders, it should not search those subfolders. An example is main_folder folder_1 sub_folder file1.txt file2.txt folder_2 file3.txt The script is placed inside main_folder. It should create a file that is a concatenation of file2.txt and file3.txt (in any order) inside main_folder. My question is: How can I tell Python to traverse through the folders, look for .txt files, without going into the subfolders?
