Use case: NorthScale's 64-bit Windows version of memcached runs as a generic application. Now that I've created a universal app it runs as a native iPad app. For testing I'd like to use the simulated iPhone when I don't have an iPhone handy for testing. How can I build the project so that the iPad will run the app in compatibility mode?

    I'm running a software called Fishbowl inventory and it is running on a firebird database (Windows server 2003) at this time the fishbowl software is running extremely slow when more then one user accesses the software. I'm thinking I maybe able to speed up the application by forcing the database to run "In Memory". However I can not find documentation on how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.     I have a messaging aspect of my application using Jabber-net (an XMPP library.) What I would like to do, if for some reason the connection to the Server is ended, is keep trying to connect every minute or so. If I start a Timer to wait for a period of time before the next attempt, does that timer run asynchronously and the resulting Tick event join the main thread, or would I need to start my own thread and start the timer from within there?
