  I need a confirmation. Client 1 insert rows in a table inside a transaction. Client 2 request this table with a SELECT. If on this client isolation level is set to READ COMMITTED, can you confirm that the SELECT won't returns the rows that aren't yet committed by Client 1. Thanks

  Say I have a table with a unique positive integer field. I currently have rows with id's of [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12, 35]. Is there a insert query that I could write that would assign the id field to the lowest unique positive integer (in this case 6)? It would have to do this atomically so there isn't the possibility of concurrent inserts wiping out each other or failing.

  I am writing a bet settling app in C# and WinForms. I have 6 selections, 4 of them have won. I know that using the following formula from Excel: =FACT(selections)/(FACT(selections-doubles))/FACT(doubles) This is coded into my app and working well: I can work out how many possible doubles (e.g., AB, AC, AD, AE, BC, BD, BE, etc.) need to be resolved. But what I can't figure out is how to do the actual calculation. How can I efficiently code it so that every combination of A, B, C, and D has been calculated? All my efforts thus far on paper have proved to be ugly and verbose: is there an elegant solution to this problem?

  Possible Duplicate: How to revert to GNOME Classic? is it possible to change general view in Ubuntu 12.04 so it was like in Ubuntu 10.04? I really liked old one and really don't like new one. Things that are annoying me: menu on the left with large icons lack of workspaces icons in right bottom corner lack of menu: Applications, Places, System in left top corner menu like: file | edit | view | help resize and red cross is available in all applications at the very top of the pulpit, unless at the very top of the application window I know it may sound crazy, but that's all me, don't like changes despite that I know they are often good. I would be very grateful for any help. I really want old view (exactly like here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2d/UbuntuMaverickDesktop.png) back. By the way, if I installed Ubuntu 12.04 by WUBI from Windows level on separated partition, then what is the easiest way to uninstall it? Can I simply format this partition? I'm wondering because I don't know if it is safe, what about boot loader etc.

• How can i enable my bluetooth and set-up its adapter config in my Ideapad S100

  I installed Ubuntu 12.04 in my Ideapad S100 it look seem perfect after I installed it, but when i tried to connect my phone via bluetooth, i cannot enable the slide button in the Bluetooth setting and it keeps returning back to "OFF" and the visible button is also in Disable mode. I already tried other solution like installing Blueman, re-write code such as rfkill bluetooth and this echo disable /proc/acpi/ibm/bluetooth. It still doesn't work at all, and regarding to my Wi-Fi i don't have any issue on it.

  Hello Stack Anon, I have X number of image objects that I need to loop through in a view and want to create a new div every 6 objects or so (for a gallery). I have looked at cycle but it seems to change every other record. Does anyone know of a way to insert code into a view every 6 times?   Many years ago we purchased a domain from Yahoo. Now our website is hosted on Amazon EC2. The output of an SPF checking tool (http://www.kitterman.com/getspf2.py) says SPF records are primarily published in DNS as TXT records. The TXT records found for your domain are: i=182&m=bizmail-mx2-p9 SPF records should also be published in DNS as type SPF records. No type SPF records found. Checking to see if there is a valid SPF record. No valid SPF record found of either type TXT or type SPF. Where do I get access to these values? Can somebody speculate, where can I find an interface, or a configuration file to fill in the missing fields?
