  • Show list items specific to user sharepoint

    - by Sachin
Hi all, In my project i have a asset list which contains "request to download" link. In the same list there is "download link" column which is default empty. Now when any user clicks on request to download link a workflow is activated and it will send request to approver to approve or reject the download request. If approver accept the request then the "download link" column in the asset list will be updated by some URL which redirect user to download page. Now what happen is, if user A send request to download asset to approver and approver approves it this will update respective item in asset list and put a download URL in "Download Link" column but if user B get look for the same record in asset list the download link will be visible to this user too which is wrong. I want to display download link columns value to only those user whos request has been approve. FYI: I am using WSS 3.0 Can anyone help me what should be the best approch to do this...? Thanks in Advance Sachin

  • Have suggestions for these assembly mnemonics?

    - by Noctis Skytower
Greetings! Last semester in college, my teacher in the Computer Languages class taught us the esoteric language named Whitespace. In the interest of learning the language better with a very busy schedule (midterms), I wrote an interpreter and assembler in Python. An assembly language was designed to facilitate writing programs easily, and a sample program was written with the given assembly mnemonics. Now that it is summer, a new project has begun with the objective being to rewrite the interpreter and assembler for Whitespace 0.3, with further developments coming afterwards. Since there is so much extra time than before to work on its design, you are presented here with an outline that provides a revised set of mnemonics for the assembly language. This post is marked as a wiki for their discussion. Have you ever had any experience with assembly languages in the past? Were there some instructions that you thought should have been renamed to something different? Did you find yourself thinking outside the box and with a different paradigm than in which the mnemonics were named? If you can answer yes to any of those questions, you are most welcome here. Subjective answers are appreciated! Stack Manipulation (IMP: [Space]) Stack manipulation is one of the more common operations, hence the shortness of the IMP [Space]. • Stack Overflow when debugging application in iPhone simulator

    - by mjdth
I'm getting this every time I attempt to debug my app in the simulator: [Session started at 2010-05-11 16:16:52 -0500.] GNU gdb 6.3.50-20050815 (Apple version gdb-1467) (Wed Apr 21 06:57:21 UTC 2010) Copyright 2004 Free Software Foundation, Inc. GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it under certain conditions. Type "show copying" to see the conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for GDB. Type "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "x86_64-apple-darwin".sharedlibrary apply-load-rules all Attaching to process 51573. Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”. Data Formatters temporarily unavailable, will re-try after a 'continue'. (Cannot call into the loader at present, it is locked.) I've looked around and found a few similar cases, but they all seem to be related to a missing file and an extra necessary build phase. I'm getting no notification of a missing file here so I'm not sure where to start to fix this and get the app running again. Thanks for any insight!

  • Stack Overflow works best with JavaScript enabled banner

    - by carpenter
I am trying to mimic this site's Javascipt required banner, and have the below divs which are being hidden if javascript is allowed/enabled, but I am getting a flash/glimps of it on page load. <div id="Main_noJS">Craftystuff.com works best with JavaScript enabled</div> <div id="PartOfMain_noJS"><br /></div> CSS: #Main_noJS { width: 100%; height: 23px; font-family: Arial; font-size: 111%; color: White; font-weight: bold; background: #AE0000; text-align: center; padding-top: 4px; position: fixed; z-index: 100; } JavaScript: // hide the "Craftystuff.com works best with JavaScript enabled" banner, if JavaScript is working if ($("#Main_noJS")) { $("#Main_noJS").hide(); // hide the spacer between the main content and banner... $("#PartOfMain_noJS").hide(); } So the banner is visible to start with, and only when javascript is enabled do I hide it but javascript must take a second to get to work to hide things... I would like to try to stop the glimps of the banner, when the page first loads, any help?

  • Communication between Page and User Controls

    - by Narmatha Balasundaram
I have a main page that has multiple user controls on it. All the user controls have static text and some data to be retrieved from the DB. The aysnchronous DB call is clubbed at the page level and one call is made to avoid multiple calls (in the different user controls) to get the same data. I want the page and user controls to load initially with the static text and later refresh the contents obtained from the server. To sum it all up, Page Loads = Asyn calls fired on page load = Data received back from the server (XML/text/whatever) = User controls to load with this data using AJAX. What methods do I have to let the user controls know that I have the data from the server and they need to update with this data?

  • Methodology for designing user controls

    - by zSysop
Hi all, I want to able to create reusable user controls within my web app and i'm wondering on how to go about doing so. Should a user controls properties be visible to a form that's using it? What's the best way to go about loading the controls on the user control from the form thats using it? Should there be a public method within the control that allows you to load it from an external form or should the user control be loaded in the page load event Is it okay to nest user controls within user controls? etc... Thanks for any advice

  • Database: storing data from user registration form

    - by teggy
Let's say I have an user registration form. In this form, I have the option for the user to upload a photo. I have an User table and Photo table. My User table has a "PathToPhoto" column. My question is how do I fill in the "PathToPhoto" column if the photo is uploaded and inserted into Photo table before the user is created? Another way to phrase my question is how to get the newly uploaded photo to be associated to the user that may or may not be created next. I'm using python and postgresql.

  • Problem pushing multiple view controllers onto navigation controller stack

    - by Jim
Hi, I am trying to push three view controllers onto the navigation controller. [self.navigationController pushViewController:one animated:YES]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:two animated:YES]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:three animated:YES]; The desired behavior is that view three will show, and when the back button is pressed it will go to view two and then to view one... What actually happens is that view one is visible and pressing back goes to view two and then back again it goes to view one. Which is to say that view one is shown instead of view three. Very strangely, looking at the viewController array of the navigationController after the calls above show the right entries, and looking at the visibleViewController property shows that it has view three in it... even though view one is visible. If i navigate to a sub view from the visible view one (that shows in the place of view three) and press back from that sub view... it goes to view three. It looks like it is showing view one, but knows it is on view three... I am completely confused... any ideas? Jim

  • Weird problem: IE8 user can't authenticate with web service

    - by NovaJoe
I have an asp.net app. It has a page that requires authentication. The authenticated user can view the page because he/she is authenticated. The page makes a jQuery Ajax call to a WCF service. The WCF service checks that the user is authenticated via HttpContext. I have a user that is using WinXP and IE8. This user can authenticate to the page, but when the Ajax call is made from the page to the wb service, the user recieves my "session not authenticated" message on the page, generated by the service and displayed on the page. When I use the same OS/browser combo, the page and service work just fine, as expected; no errors. What option in this user's IE settings would cause this behavior?

  • How can I check the mysql connection for a user/password using batch/shell script

    - by machaa
Hi, How can I check the mysql connection for a user/password using batch/shell script? I've user name and password, and I need to authenticate whether they are correct or not, but how? I tried this way: I've created a batch file "run.bat" with "mysql -u User--password=UserPassword < commands.sql" "commands.sql" file contains "\q" When I run the file "run.bat" the output is nothing when User/Password are correct and "ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user ... " when User/Password are incorrect. Now can we capture this output, and decide whether the connection is successful or not, if yes how? Regards

  • How do I implement a fibonacci sequence in java using try/catch logic?

    - by Lars Flyger
I know how to do it using simple recursion, but in order to complete this particular assignment I need to be able to accumulate on the stack and throw an exception that holds the answer in it. So far I have: public static int fibo(int index) { int sum = 0; try { fibo_aux(index, 1, 1); } catch (IntegerException me) { sum = me.getIntValue(); } return sum; } fibo_aux is supposed to throw an IntegerException (which holds the value of the answer that is retireved via getIntValue) and accumulates the answer on the stack, but so far I can't figure it out. Can anyone help?

  • HttpContext User value changing on its own?

    - by larryq
Hi everyone, I'm working on an ASP.Net 2.0 application and am having a strange issue involving the HttpContext User. It appears to be changing on its own when I go to a particular page/directory. All of our pages inherit from a base page. In that base page's Page_Load() method we run an authorization check to see if the user can see the page they're going to. We retrieve the user to check against with this code: GenericPrincipal objPrincipal = (GenericPrincipal)Context.User; When I go to this unusual directory the User value isn't me, it's some other username I've never heard of. This username isn't authorized to see these pages, so authorization fails. This mysterious directory isn't a virtual web, just a regular directory in our website, however I've noticed it has its own Web.Config file. I'm guessing that's a cause of the trouble here. My question is, how can I investigate this further, in determining what's changing the User value when I go to this directory?

  • Django: Determining if a user has voted or not

    - by TheLizardKing
I have a long list of links that I spit out using the below code, total votes, submitted by, the usual stuff but I am not 100% on how to determine if the currently logged in user has voted on a link or not. I know how to do this from within my view but do I need to alter my below view code or can I make use of the way templates work to determine it? I have read http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1528583/django-vote-up-down-method but I don't quite understand what's going on ( and don't need any ofjavascriptery). • Stack usage with MMX intrinsics and Microsoft C++

    - by arik-funke
I have an inline assembler loop that cumulatively adds elements from an int32 data array with MMX instructions. In particular, it uses the fact that the MMX registers can accommodate 16 int32s to calculate 16 different cumulative sums in parallel. I would now like to convert this piece of code to MMX intrinsics but I am afraid that I will suffer a performance penalty because one cannot explicitly intruct the compiler to use the 8 MMX registers to accomulate 16 independent sums. Can anybody comment on this and maybe propose a solution on how to convert the piece of code below to use intrinsics? == inline assembler (only part within the loop) == paddd mm0, [esi+edx+8*0] ; add first & second pair of int32 elements paddd mm1, [esi+edx+8*1] ; add third & fourth pair of int32 elements ... paddd mm2, [esi+edx+8*2] paddd mm3, [esi+edx+8*3] paddd mm4, [esi+edx+8*4] paddd mm5, [esi+edx+8*5] paddd mm6, [esi+edx+8*6] paddd mm7, [esi+edx+8*7] ; add 15th & 16th pair of int32 elements esi points to the beginning of the data array edx provides the offset in the data array for the current loop iteration the data array is arranged such that the elements for the 16 independent sums are interleaved.

  • Stack Overflow like Watermarks in Forms

    - by Kaushik Gopal
Hey people, I remember seeing a tutorial somewhere that talks of how to style your input forms in a more "usable" way. Essentially, you have a placeholder value and when you enter the input, it hides the hint so to speak. Now, just to be clear: I don't want the hint (placeholder value text) to disappear onFocus, but rather to go lighter when I first start typing something. Good e.gs: Check out the forms on Aardvark http://vark.com/. This is exactly how I wish to have my input forms. Our very own stackoverflow. When you try to ask a question, on clicking inside any input form, it doesn't hide the text right away. You see your cursor as well as the hint. but when you start to type, it hides the hint(I would prefer having it go to a much lighter shade rather than hiding all together, like above example). I remember very clearly reading a tutorial somewhere on the interwebz with this exact requirement, but darn forgot to bookmark it. Any suggestions/links?
