  • PHP: Check if 0?

    Hi, I am using a class which returns me the value of a particular row and cell of an excel spreadsheet. To build up an array of one column I am counting the rows and then looping through that number with a for() loop and then using the $array[] = $value to set the incrementing array object's value. This works great if none of the values in a cell are 0. The class returns me a number 0 so it's nothing to do with the class, I think it's the way I am looping through the rows and then assigning them to the array... I want to carry through the 0 value because I am creating graphs with the data afterwards, here is the code I have. // Get Rainfall $rainfall = array(); for($i=1;$i<=$count;$i++) { if($data->val($i,2) != 'Rainfall') // Check if not the column title { $rainfall[] = $data->val($i,2); } } For your info $data is the excel spreadsheet object and the method $data->val(row,col) is what returns me the value.     hi, I have stored instances of class A in a std:vector, vec_A as vec_A.push_back(A(i)). The code is shown below. Now, I want to store references some of the instances of class A (in vec_A) in another vector or another array. For example, if the A.getNumber() returns 4, 7, 2 , I want to put a reference to that instance of A in another vector, say std:vector<A*> filtered_A or an array. Can someone sow me how to do this??   • Hide / Show menu code not working after postback

    I have a button on my web page that toggles the menu, After a postback the menu comes back despite me updating a hidden field value to store its state. Am I doing something wrong here? If there is a better way of doing it, let me know!     i have this validation script im working on but cant see why im having an issue. You can see that i have a check = false / true, check before it runs the ajax call.     Good Day, I have a small form with a combo box (ASP.NET Drop Down List control) and a text box (with a DIV id txtName). When the selected index of the combo box changes, I want to clear out the text box. I understand that: $("#txtName").val(''); clears the text box value The thing is the combo box. It contains a list of integers representing the months of the year. The drop down control is called ddlMonths. $("#ddlMonths").change(function() { $("#txtName").val(''); }); I thought by using change, an onSelectedIndexChange event handler would be associated with this control. I also tried (because I've ran into the client id being mangled in ASP.NET w/ jQuery) this: $("#<%=ddlMonths.ClientID%>").change(function() { $("#<%=txtName.ClientID%>").val(''); }); and neither approach seems to be working.     Here's the code: #include <iostream> using namespace std; void mysize(int &size, int size2); int main() { int *p; int val; p = &val; cout << p; mysize(&val, 20); // Error is pointed here! } void mysize(int &size, int size2) { cout << sizeof(size); size2 = size2 + 6000; cout << size2; } Here's the error output from GCC: In function 'int main()': Line 10: error: invalid initialization of non-const reference of type 'int&' from a temporary of type 'int*' compilation terminated due to -Wfatal-errors. What does that imply? I do not understand the error message ... invalid initialization of a non-constant? I declared the prototype function above with two parameters to take, one a reference of an integer and one just an integer value itself. I passed the reference of the int (see line 10), yet this error keeps being thrown at me. What is the issue?

    I have a table where all of the cells are INPUT tags. I have a function which looks for the first input cell and replaces it with it's value. So this: <tr id="row_0" class="datarow"> <td><input class="tabcell" value="Injuries"></td> <td><input class="tabcell" value="01"></td> becomes this: <tr id="row_0" class="datarow"> <td>Injuries</td> <td><input class="tabcell" value="01"></td> Here is the first part of the function: function setRowLabels() { var row = []; $('.dataRow').each(function(i) { row.push($('td input:eq(0)', this).val() + ' - '); $('td input:eq(0)', this).replaceWith($('td input:eq(0)', this).val()); $('td input:gt(0)', this).each(function(e) { etcetera But when the page reloads, the first column is not an input type, so it changes the second column to text too! Can I tell it to only change the first column, no matter what the type is? I tried $('td:eq(0)', this).replaceWith($('td:eq(0)', this).val()); but it does not work. Any suggestions appreciated!   • Problem with running totals in jquery

    I'm having an issue trying to get an accurate running total for my calculations. When you enter numbers into the input field I get an accurate total for that line item, but the grand total comes out to a higher number. Note that this is a dynamic form and that the id's will change depending on how many form fields I have added to the form. Also, I have it set to make the calculations onKeyUp for each input field instead of a calculate button. The code that calculates a single item is this: function calcLineItem(id) { var id = $(id).attr("id"); var Item1 = $("#Item1" + id).val(); var Item2 = $("#Item2" + id).val(); var Item3 = $("#Item3" + id).val(); function calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3){ var total; total = Math.round((Item1 * Item2) * Item3); return total; } $("#total" + id).text(calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3)); calcAllFields(); } This will give me the total of this particular input field. The function at the end, calcAllFields(), is supposed to do the calculations for all items in my form to give me the grand total of all input fields: function calcAllFields(id) { var id = $(id).attr("id"); $('#target1').text($("#total" + id).map(function() { var currentValue = parseFloat(document.getElementById("currentTotal").value); var newValue = parseFloat($("#total" + id).text()); var newTotal = currentValue + newValue; document.getElementById("currentTotal").value = newTotal; return newTotal; }).get().join()); } The variable currentTotal is getting its value from a hidden field on my form: <input type="hidden" id="currentTotal" value="0"> As I enter numbers a field the calculation for that line will be accurate, but the grand total will be inaccurate because the value for currentTotal will continue to increment with every key stroke I make in the input field. Any ideas on how to avoid this from happening?

    I have a drop down menu. Has product types. Product types have associated value (from drop down) values correspond to machine groups. So each option should have three variables--Machine name, values, machine group. I can get the Machine name and I can get the machine value (and display them in a different field)...what I have not been able to figure out is how to change the value into the Machine group. jQuery('#MachineName').bind('change', function() { //get selected value from drop down; var selectedValue = jQuery("#MachineName").val(); //populate a text field with the selected drop down value jQuery("#MachineValue").val(selectedValue); What I would like to do is keep that MachineValue but then populate another text field with the sorted MachineGroup I have been trying to run it through something like switch(jQuery(this).val()){ case "236" : newVal = "8"; break; But I don't want to "change" the value I just want to do an "if then" type filter, so maybe something like: '236' => "8", '237' => "5", I just don't know how to properly say "assign the MachineGroup based on the MachineValue" (and then have it populate a different text field) In the end I would have three fields. The drop down, the MachineValue and the MachineGroup. Drop down and value are done, I just need to do Group. (And I can sort Group based on MachineName...just not sure which would be easier)

    Hi I have to send a two-dimensional JavaScript Array to a PHP page. Indeed, I'm working on a form-builder, in which the user can add or remove fields. These fields are added (or removed) using JavaScript (jQuery). When the user is done and hit a 'publish' button, I have to get all the fields concerned and send them to a PHP page which would build a real form with it. I found a way to do it but I'm pretty sure it's not very clean : addedFields = new Array(); $("#add-info .field").each(function() { addedFields.push(new Array($(this).find('.name').val(), $(this).find('.type').val(), $(this).find('.size').val())); }); Basically, the ".field" class objects are <tr> and the ".name", ".type" and ".size" objects are inputs. So I get an array of [name, type, size], then I convert it into a string using addedFields = addedFields.join(";"); Finally, I go to the PHP form that way ; document.location.href = "create.php?addedfields=" + addedFields; Concerning the PHP code, I create a PHP array using the explode() function: $addedFields = explode(";", $_GET['addedfields']); and then I use it again for each element in the array: foreach ($addedFields as $field) { $field = explode(",", $field); echo "<li>Field with name : '$field[0]', of '$field[1]' type and with a size of $field[2]"; }

  • Getting rid of function's argument

    It is better to explain my intention with code. So right now I have the following code: class A, IInterfaceUsedByB { } class B { void func(A someObject) { func2(someObject, 1); func3(someObject, "string"); func4(someObject, new MyObject()); } func2(A someObject, int val); func3(A someObject, string val); func4(A someObject, C val); } Where func2, func3, func4 do need references to someObject. I want to change this to void func() { with(someObject, () => { func2(1); func3("string"); func4(new MyObject()); } ); } Or even better to void func(someObject) { func2(1); func3("string"); func4(new MyObject()); } So that I don't have to drag this someObject around, but I should still be able to use it inside func2,3,4. I can use any of the three languages (C#, F# or IronPython) for this. UPDATE In the ideal solution class B would be independent of A. func* functions only depend on a small interface of A consisting of 2 methods.

  • Why does cloning the django inline formsets result to forms with similar ids and names?

    In my project I use django inline formsets. I got the jquery to clone the formsets but unfortunately the cloned forms have the same names and ids and so data entered in the last one overwrites the data from the first form. What could I be doing wrong?     hi, I am storing pointers to elements of a vec_A in an array A* a_ptrs[3] . Assume that vec_A will not be resized. So, a_ptrs[i] will point to the correct element. My question is: Suppose A* a_ptrs[3] is declared in a class B. Since it is not created using 'new' I am guessing I don't need to delete it in the destructor.   • jQuery jPicker colorpicker: How to convert from 8 digit (w Transparency) to standard 6 digit hex?

    I've got a jPicker installed and running fine; its a pretty sweet script. However, the value it returns to my input box is 8 digit hex. I need it to return 6 digit hex. Rather than post-process the 8 digit into 6, I'd rather just hack into the script and force 6 digit. Alternately, I'd be ok with hooking into the change event of the jPicker to intercept the value its sending to the input element and doing the conversion there just before it updates the input with the hex.     Hi, I have a multiple select field and a jquery function that checks for a change in the select. the function looks for the value "Other", and if it's selected then displays an extra text field. This is all working fine in chrome and FF, but for some reason IE throws an error on the indexOf function "Object doesn't support this property or method". Any help would be much appreciated.     I am trying to read a link from one page, print the url, go to that page, and read the link on the next page in the same location, print the url, go to that page (and so on...) All I'm doing is reading the url and passing it as an argument to the get_links() method until there are no more links. This is my code but it throws a Fatal error: Call to a member function find() on a non-object.
