    Hi, I am just trying to understand the extends keyword in Java Generics. List<? extends Animal> means we can stuff any object in the List which IS A Animal then won't the following also mean the same thing: List<Animal> Can someone help me know the difference between the above two? I need to search each file for five different keywords and output five files prepended with the specific keyword and then the original logfile name. In C# I'd use the "lock" keyword: private someMethod() { lock(mySharedObj) { //...do something with mySharedObj } } In Delphi I couldn't find anything similar, I found just TThread.Synchronize(someMethod) method, which prevents potential conflicts by calling someMethod in main VCL thread, but it isn't exactly what I want to do....
