• DotNetOpenAuth OpenID Provider "Sequence contains more than one element"

  Hello, all, I'm having trouble implementing my OpenID provider with DNOA 3.4.3. Everything was going absolutely peachy until I needed AX support as well. I set AXFetchAsSregTransform in the web config, as recommended by Andrew at http://groups.google.com/group/dotnetopenid/browse_thread/thread/5629a24c0a7e8d99. Doing this caused me to get the exception "Sequence Contains More Than One Element" on my decide.aspx page, however, and I haven't been able to get past it. The following line is throwing the exception: Edit: Strangely enough, this is not the line throwing the error anymore. The SendResponse() is now triggering the exception ClaimsRequest requestedFields = ProviderEndpoint.PendingRequest.GetExtension(); ProviderEndpoint.SendResponse() Any thoughts on why this may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!   Hello, I am writing an ASP.NET MVC 2.0 application which requires users to log in before placing a bid on an item. I am using an actionfilter to ensure that the user is logged in and, if not, send them to a login page and set the return url. Below is the code i use in my action filter. if (!filterContext.HttpContext.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated) { filterContext.Result = new RedirectResult(String.Concat("~/Account/LogOn","?ReturnUrl=",filterContext.HttpContext.Request.RawUrl)); return; } In my logon controller I validate the users credentials then sign them in and redirect to the return url FormsAuth.SignIn(userName, rememberMe); if (!String.IsNullOrEmpty(returnUrl)) { return Redirect(returnUrl); } My problem is that this will always use a Get (HttpGet) request whereas my original submission was a post (HttpPost) and should always be a post. Can anyone suggest a way of passing this URL including the HttpMethod or any workaround to ensure that the correct HttpMethod is used? Thanks in advance, JP

  I have to parse a xml file in C++. I was researching and found rapidxml library for this. I have doubt about "doc.parse<0(xml)" can xml be .xml file or it needs to be a string or char *? If can take only string or char * then I guess I need to read the whole file and store it in a char array and pass the pointer of it to the function? Is there a way to directly use file because I would need to change the xml file inside the code also. If it is not possible in RapidXML then please suggest some other xml libraries in C++. Thanks!!!   I'm attempting to use powershell to access a remote registry like so: $reg = [Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey]::OpenRemoteBaseKey("LocalMachine", $server) $key = $reg.OpenSubkey($subkeyPath) Depending on some factors that I'm not yet able to determine I either get Exception calling "OpenSubKey" with "1" argument(s): "Requested registry access is not allowed." Or System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Attempted to perform an unauthorized operation. at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.Win32ErrorStatic(Int32 errorCode, String str) at Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey.OpenRemoteBaseKey(RegistryHive hKey, String machineName) It seems pretty clear that this is because the user I'm running the powershell script as doesn't have the appropriate credentials to access the remote registry. I'd like to be able to supply a set of credentials to use for the remote registry access, but I can find no documentation anywhere of a way to do this. I'm also not clear on exactly where to specify which users are allowed to access the registry remotely.

  My RoR server receives a string, that was encrypted in C++ application using des3 with base64 encoding The cipher object is created so: cipher = OpenSSL::Cipher::Cipher::new("des3") cipher.key = key_str cipher.iv = iv_str key_str and iv_str: are string representations of key and initialization vector for encryption algorithm. They are the same for RoR and C++ application. The code on the RoR side is following: result = "" result << cipher.update( Base64.decode64(message) ) result << cipher.final After executing the last line of code, i get an exception OpenSSL::CipherError (bad decrypt) What is wrong here ? Any ideas ?

  I am creating an EF4 model-first application with a WPF UI. One of the controls on my UI is a RichTextDocument, which outputs a WPF FlowDocument. I can either serialize the FlowDocument to a byte array, or extract its XAML markup as a string. I would prefer to use binary serialization, if I can. Here are my questions: If I serialize to a byte array, how do I specify an entity property as a byte array in the EDM Designer? If I extract a XAML markup string, can I specify that the EDM Designer create the corresponding database column as a nvarchar(max) column? As to the second question, I assume I could always manually edit the MyModel.edmx.sql file to change the data type from nvarchar(4000) to nvarchar(max) before executing it, but I would like to know if it can be done in the Designer.   In a test project I've managed to AutoGenerate WPF DataGrid columns in the following scenario, where the data is stored in a Dictionary and binding is performed via PropertyDescriptors: public class People:List<Person>{ ... } public class Person:Dictionary<string,string>,INotifyPropertyChanged,ICustomTypeDescriptor { } The problem I'm having is in my real life project I'm using MVVM so it's *People*ViewModel which inherits ViewModelBase and hence can't inherit List<Person>. I've tried implementing IList<Person> instead with an internal List<Person> and explicitly setting the DataContext to an IList<Person> reference but that didn't work. I've seen a similar post on binding a win forms DataGridView here, so I'm wondering if the same sort of logic applies in WPF and primarily, what exactly causes the ICustomTypeDescriptor implementation to be picked up when inheriting List<T> that is missing when you simply implement IList<T> instead.

  Hi, I'm catching key hits with PreviewKeyDown event in my WPF component. I need to distinguish characters being typed: letters vs. numbers vs. underscore vs. anything else. Letters and numbers work fine (just convert the Key property of the KeyEventArgs object to string and work with character 0 of that string), but this won't work for underscore. It's ToString value depends on localized keyboard settings (it shows up as "OemMinus" on EN/US keyboard and "OemQuestion" on CZ/QWERTY keyboard).   Hi, i am new to android and planning to use Triple-DES encryption to encrypt data and store it into the DataBase in my android application. the thing is if i try to use DES or Triple DES its giving Hexadecimal encrypted string. But i need some encrypted value which looks like my previous value. i have 3 kinds of variables to encrypt. those are String,numeric and Date type variables. My requirement is if i encrypt a date type, i need to get the cipher text looks like date. So can any one suggest with an example to impliment and encryption technique.

  I'm currently trying to authenticate via Active Directory Services using the PrincipalContext class. I would like to have my application authenticate to the Domain using Sealed and SSL contexts. In order to do this, I have to use the following constructor of PrincipalContext (link to MSDN page): public PrincipalContext( ContextType contextType, string name, string container, ContextOptions options ) Specifically, I'm using the constructor as so: PrincipalContext domainContext = new PrincipalContext( ContextType.Domain, domain, container, ContextOptions.Sealing | ContextOptions.SecureSocketLayer); MSDN says about "container": The container on the store to use as the root of the context. All queries are performed under this root, and all inserts are performed into this container. For Domain and ApplicationDirectory context types, this parameter is the distinguished name (DN) of a container object. What is the DN of a container object? How do I find out what my container object is? Can I query the Active Directory (or LDAP) server for this?

  I have my own html helper extension, wich I use this way <%=Html.LocalizableLabelFor(model => model.Reason_ID, Register.PurchaseReason) %> which declared like this. public static MvcHtmlString LocalizableLabelFor<T>(this HtmlHelper<T> helper, Expression<Func<T, object>> expr, string captionValue) where T : class { return helper.LocalizableLabelFor(ExpressionHelper.GetExpressionText(expr), captionValue); } but when I open it in debugger expr.Body.ToString() will show me Convert(model.Reason_ID). But should model.Reason_ID. That's a big problem, becouse ExpressionHelper.GetExpressionText(expr) returns empty string. What a strange magic is that? How can I get rid of it?

  I am getting the following warnings on the Event Log for a Asp.Net WebSite running on IIS 7. Exception information: Exception type: HttpException Exception message: Server cannot append header after HTTP headers have been sent. at System.Web.Hosting.ISAPIWorkerRequest.SendUnknownResponseHeader(String name, String value) at System.Web.HttpResponse.WriteHeaders() at System.Web.HttpResponse.Flush(Boolean finalFlush) at System.Web.HttpRuntime.FinishRequest(HttpWorkerRequest wr, HttpContext context, Exception e) I tried to debug the WebSite but it just does not show in debugger. The web page which has got this issue contains the following. Its a content page with a Master page. It has a grid inside an UpdatePanel which is Triggered by a Timer. On the specified time grid data is refreshed. Everytime this happens we see a new warning in the EventLog. What is the best way to go about this issue?
