  • With a jquery modular dialog how do I stop the form values from persisting?

    - by stormist
    (Citing source at: http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/#modal-form) As an example, this works great but each time the form is subsequently opened the user entered values remain. How can I stop this behavior? • Webview crash with Garbage Collector ON

    - by user273666
    Hi, I have a very specific web page that causes webview to crash with the Garnage Collector ON (does not crash when OFF). Easy to reproduce: create a document base application, drop a webview, and have the following line (button perhaps). - (void)connectSearch:(id)sender { [[webView mainFrame] loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:[NSURL URLWithString:@"http://apple.com"]]]; } I guess this scenario is only valid while Apple advertises their new iPad. At the bottom of the page there is two video you can watch. Click on the one on the right. When it is playing, click on the Close button (link) top left - which sends #SwapViewPreviousSelection - and that's it, it crashes. I'm just learning about the garbage collector but I suspect something is collected that should not. Any idea what can prevent the crash, other than turning off the garbage collector? Thank you. Here is what I get: Identifier: com.yourcompany.wb Version: 1.0 (1) Code Type: X86-64 (Native) Parent Process: launchd [163] Date/Time: 2010-02-15 12:26:31.069 -0500 OS Version: Mac OS X 10.6.2 • Looking for a workaround for IE 6/7 "Unspecified Error" bug when accessing offsetParent; using ASP.N

    - by CodeChef
    I'm using jQuery UI's draggable and droppable libraries in a simple ASP.NET proof of concept application. This page uses the ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanel to do partial page updates. The page allows a user to drop an item into a trashcan div, which will invoke a postback that deletes a record from the database, then rebinds the list (and other controls) that the item was drug from. All of these elements (the draggable items and the trashcan div) are inside an ASP.NET UpdatePanel. Here is the dragging and dropping initialization script: function initDragging() { $(".person").draggable({helper:'clone'}); $("#trashcan").droppable({ accept: '.person', tolerance: 'pointer', hoverClass: 'trashcan-hover', activeClass: 'trashcan-active', drop: onTrashCanned }); } $(document).ready(function(){ initDragging(); var prm = Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManager.getInstance(); prm.add_endRequest(function() { initDragging(); }); }); function onTrashCanned(e,ui) { var id = $('input[id$=hidID]', ui.draggable).val(); if (id != undefined) { $('#hidTrashcanID').val(id); __doPostBack('btnTrashcan',''); } } When the page posts back, partially updating the UpdatePanel's content, I rebind the draggables and droppables. When I then grab a draggable with my cursor, I get an "htmlfile: Unspecified error." exception. I can resolve this problem in the jQuery library by replacing elem.offsetParent with calls to this function that I wrote: function IESafeOffsetParent(elem) { try { return elem.offsetParent; } catch(e) { return document.body; } } I also have to avoid calls to elem.getBoundingClientRect() as it throws the same error. For those interested, I only had to make these changes in the jQuery.fn.offset function in the Dimensions Plugin. My questions are: Although this works, are there better ways (cleaner; better performance; without having to modify the jQuery library) to solve this problem? If not, what's the best way to manage keeping my changes in sync when I update the jQuery libraries in the future? For, example can I extend the library somewhere other than just inline in the files that I download from the jQuery website. Update: @some It's not publicly accessible, but I will see if SO will let me post the relevant code into this answer. Just create an ASP.NET Web Application (name it DragAndDrop) and create these files. Don't forget to set Complex.aspx as your start page. You'll also need to download the jQuery UI drag and drop plug in as well as jQuery core Complex.aspx <%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="Complex.aspx.cs" Inherits="DragAndDrop.Complex" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head runat="server"> <title>Untitled Page</title> <script src="jquery-1.2.6.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery-ui-personalized-1.5.3.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function initDragging() { $(".person").draggable({helper:'clone'}); • Linq to LLBLGen query problem

    - by Jeroen Breuer
    Hello, I've got a Stored Procedure and i'm trying to convert it to a Linq to LLBLGen query. The query in Linq to LLBGen works, but when I trace the query which is send to sql server it is far from perfect. This is the Stored Procedure: ALTER PROCEDURE [dbo].[spDIGI_GetAllUmbracoProducts] -- Add the parameters for the stored procedure. @searchText nvarchar(255), @startRowIndex int, @maximumRows int, @sortExpression nvarchar(255) AS BEGIN SET @startRowIndex = @startRowIndex + 1 SET @searchText = '%' + @searchText + '%' -- SET NOCOUNT ON added to prevent extra result sets from -- interfering with SELECT statements. SET NOCOUNT ON; -- This is the query which will fetch all the UmbracoProducts. -- This query also supports paging and sorting. WITH UmbracoOverview As ( SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER( ORDER BY CASE WHEN @sortExpression = 'productName' THEN umbracoProduct.productName WHEN @sortExpression = 'productCode' THEN umbracoProduct.productCode END ASC, CASE WHEN @sortExpression = 'productName DESC' THEN umbracoProduct.productName WHEN @sortExpression = 'productCode DESC' THEN umbracoProduct.productCode END DESC ) AS row_num, umbracoProduct.umbracoProductId, umbracoProduct.productName, umbracoProduct.productCode FROM umbracoProduct INNER JOIN product ON umbracoProduct.umbracoProductId = product.umbracoProductId WHERE (umbracoProduct.productName LIKE @searchText OR umbracoProduct.productCode LIKE @searchText OR product.code LIKE @searchText OR product.description LIKE @searchText OR product.descriptionLong LIKE @searchText OR product.unitCode LIKE @searchText) ) SELECT UmbracoOverview.UmbracoProductId, UmbracoOverview.productName, UmbracoOverview.productCode FROM UmbracoOverview WHERE (row_num >= @startRowIndex AND row_num < (@startRowIndex + @maximumRows)) -- This query will count all the UmbracoProducts. -- This query is used for paging inside ASP.NET. SELECT COUNT (umbracoProduct.umbracoProductId) AS CountNumber FROM umbracoProduct INNER JOIN product ON umbracoProduct.umbracoProductId = product.umbracoProductId WHERE (umbracoProduct.productName LIKE @searchText OR umbracoProduct.productCode LIKE @searchText OR product.code LIKE @searchText OR product.description LIKE @searchText OR product.descriptionLong LIKE @searchText OR product.unitCode LIKE @searchText) END This is my Linq to LLBLGen query: using System.Linq.Dynamic; var q = ( from up in MetaData.UmbracoProduct join p in MetaData.Product on up.UmbracoProductId equals p.UmbracoProductId where up.ProductCode.Contains(searchText) || up.ProductName.Contains(searchText) || p.Code.Contains(searchText) || p.Description.Contains(searchText) || p.DescriptionLong.Contains(searchText) || p.UnitCode.Contains(searchText) select new UmbracoProductOverview { UmbracoProductId = up.UmbracoProductId, ProductName = up.ProductName, ProductCode = up.ProductCode } ).OrderBy(sortExpression); //Save the count in HttpContext.Current.Items. This value will only be saved during 1 single HTTP request. HttpContext.Current.Items["AllProductsCount"] = q.Count(); //Returns the results paged. return q.Skip(startRowIndex).Take(maximumRows).ToList<UmbracoProductOverview>(); This is my Initial expression to process: value(SD.LLBLGen.Pro.LinqSupportClasses.DataSource`1[Eurofysica.DB.EntityClasses.UmbracoProductEntity]).Join(value(SD.LLBLGen.Pro.LinqSupportClasses.DataSource`1[Eurofysica.DB.EntityClasses.ProductEntity]), up => up.UmbracoProductId, p => p.UmbracoProductId, (up, p) => new <>f__AnonymousType0`2(up = up, p = p)).Where(<>h__TransparentIdentifier0 => (((((<>h__TransparentIdentifier0.up.ProductCode.Contains(value(Eurofysica.BusinessLogic.BLL.Controllers.UmbracoProductController+<>c__DisplayClass1).searchText) || <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.up.ProductName.Contains(value(Eurofysica.BusinessLogic.BLL.Controllers.UmbracoProductController+<>c__DisplayClass1).searchText)) || <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.p.Code.Contains(value(Eurofysica.BusinessLogic.BLL.Controllers.UmbracoProductController+<>c__DisplayClass1).searchText)) || <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.p.Description.Contains(value(Eurofysica.BusinessLogic.BLL.Controllers.UmbracoProductController+<>c__DisplayClass1).searchText)) || <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.p.DescriptionLong.Contains(value(Eurofysica.BusinessLogic.BLL.Controllers.UmbracoProductController+<>c__DisplayClass1).searchText)) || <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.p.UnitCode.Contains(value(Eurofysica.BusinessLogic.BLL.Controllers.UmbracoProductController+<>c__DisplayClass1).searchText))).Select(<>h__TransparentIdentifier0 => new UmbracoProductOverview() {UmbracoProductId = <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.up.UmbracoProductId, ProductName = <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.up.ProductName, ProductCode = <>h__TransparentIdentifier0.up.ProductCode}).OrderBy( => .ProductName).Count() Now this is how the queries look like that are send to sql server: Select query: Query: SELECT [LPA_L2].[umbracoProductId] AS [UmbracoProductId], [LPA_L2].[productName] AS [ProductName], [LPA_L2].[productCode] AS [ProductCode] FROM ( [eurofysica].[dbo].[umbracoProduct] [LPA_L2] INNER JOIN [eurofysica].[dbo].[product] [LPA_L3] ON [LPA_L2].[umbracoProductId] = [LPA_L3].[umbracoProductId]) WHERE ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( [LPA_L2].[productCode] LIKE @ProductCode1) OR ( [LPA_L2].[productName] LIKE @ProductName2)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[code] LIKE @Code3)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[description] LIKE @Description4)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[descriptionLong] LIKE @DescriptionLong5)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[unitCode] LIKE @UnitCode6)))) Parameter: @ProductCode1 : String. Count query: Query: SELECT TOP 1 COUNT(*) AS [LPAV_] FROM (SELECT [LPA_L2].[umbracoProductId] AS [UmbracoProductId], [LPA_L2].[productName] AS [ProductName], [LPA_L2].[productCode] AS [ProductCode] FROM ( [eurofysica].[dbo].[umbracoProduct] [LPA_L2] INNER JOIN [eurofysica].[dbo].[product] [LPA_L3] ON [LPA_L2].[umbracoProductId] = [LPA_L3].[umbracoProductId]) WHERE ( ( ( ( ( ( ( ( [LPA_L2].[productCode] LIKE @ProductCode1) OR ( [LPA_L2].[productName] LIKE @ProductName2)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[code] LIKE @Code3)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[description] LIKE @Description4)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[descriptionLong] LIKE @DescriptionLong5)) OR ( [LPA_L3].[unitCode] LIKE @UnitCode6))))) [LPA_L1] Parameter: @ProductCode1 : String. Length: 2. Precision: 0. Scale: 0. Direction: Input. Value: "%%". Parameter: @ProductName2 : String. Length: 2. Precision: 0. Scale: 0. Direction: Input. Value: "%%". Parameter: @Code3 : String. Length: 2. Precision: 0. Scale: 0. Direction: Input. Value: "%%". Parameter: @Description4 : String. Length: 2. Precision: 0. Scale: 0. Direction: Input. Value: "%%". Value: "%%". As you can see no sorting or paging is done (like in my Stored Procedure). This is probably done inside the code after all the results are fetched. This costs a lot of performance! Does anybody know how I can convert my Stored Procedure to Linq to LLBLGen the proper way?

  • Why is UITableView not reloading (even on the main thread)?

    - by radesix
    I have two programs that basically do the same thing. They read an XML feed and parse the elements. The design of both programs is to use an asynchronous NSURLConnection to get the data then to spawn a new thread to handle the parsing. As batches of 5 items are parsed it calls back to the main thread to reload the UITableView. My issue is it works fine in one program, but not the other. I know that the parsing is actually occuring on the background thread and I know that [tableView reloadData] is executing on the main thread; however, it doesn't reload the table until all parsing is complete. I'm stumped. As far as I can tell... both programs are structured exactly the same way. Here is some code from the app that isn't working correctly. - (void)startConnectionWithURL:(NSString *)feedURL feedList:(NSMutableArray *)list { self.feedList = list; // Use NSURLConnection to asynchronously download the data. This means the main thread will not be blocked - the // application will remain responsive to the user. // // IMPORTANT! The main thread of the application should never be blocked! • Jquery Flexslider - can't see navigational images (manualControl)

    - by Kim Thomas
    I've spent a lot of time looking at the post on 3/13/12 re: manual controls, but isn't getting me all the way there...probably because I don't know jquery. Sorry, newbie on board. I'm trying to get the right/left arrows to show, as well as the 1, 2, 3...at the bottom. They are there, I see the lists on Firebug, just don't know how to add them to the "hook" (?) so they appear. Here is the code I have in header: <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery.flexslider.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $(window).load(function() { $('.flexslider').flexslider({ animation: "slide", slideshow: false, controlNav: true, manualControls: ".flex-control-nav li a", controlsContainer: ".flex-container" }); }); </script> Here is my html: <div class="flex-container"> <div class="flexslider"> <ul class="slides"> <li><img src="images/tah_home.jpg" alt="taylor art house home page" width="600" height="320"/> <p class="flex-caption">Taylor Art House Home Page</p></li> <li><img src="images/tah_blog.jpg" alt="taylor art house blog page" width="600" height="320" /> <p class="flex-caption">We created a blog that fits seemlessly into Taylor Art House's look</p></li> <li><img src="images/tah_artwork_page.jpg" alt="taylor art house art page" width="600" height="320" /> <p class="flex-caption">One of Taylor Art House's gallery pages, using a Wordpress plugin</p></li> <li><img src="images/tah_arch_portfolio.jpg" alt="jon taylor architecture portfolio page" width="600" height="320" /> <p class="flex-caption">We created links to toggle from TAH to Jon Taylor Architecture</p></li> </ul> </div><!--end flexsider--> </div><!--end flex-container--> Here is the Flexslider CSS: /* * jQuery FlexSlider v1.8 * http://www.woothemes.com/flexslider/ * * Copyright 2012 WooThemes * Free to use under the MIT license. * http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.php */ /* Browser Resets */ .flex-container a:active, .flexslider a:active, .flex-container a:focus, .flexslider a:focus {outline: none;} .slides, .flex-control-nav, .flex-direction-nav {margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none;} /* FlexSlider Necessary Styles *********************************/ .flexslider { width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; } .flexslider .slides > li { display: none; -webkit-backface-visibility: hidden; } /* Hide the slides before the JS is loaded. If anyone can help this newbie out, I would be very appreciative. Explicit instructions are always appreciated.

  • is this correct use of jquery's document.ready?

    List myList = new List { new Users{ Name="Kumar", Gender="M", Age=75, Parent="All"}, new Users{ Name="Suresh",Gender="M", Age=50, Parent="Kumar"}, new Users{ Name="Bennette", Gender="F",Age=45, Parent="Kumar"}, new Users{ Name="kian", Gender="M",Age=20, Parent="Suresh"}, new Users{ Name="Nathani", Gender="M",Age=15, Parent="Suresh"}, new Users{ Name="Peter", Gender="M",Age=90, Parent="All"}, new Users{ Name="Mica", Age=56, Gender="M",Parent="Peter"}, new Users{ Name="Linderman", Gender="M",Age=51, Parent="Peter"}, new Users{ Name="john", Age=25, Gender="M",Parent="Mica"}, new Users{ Name="tom", Gender="M",Age=21, Parent="Mica"}, new Users{ Name="Ando", Age=64, Gender="M",Parent="All"}, new Users{ Name="Maya", Age=24, Gender="M",Parent="Ando"}, new Users{ Name="Niki Sanders", Gender="F",Age=2, Parent="Maya"}, new Users{ Name="Angela Patrelli", Gender="F",Age=3, Parent="Maya"}, }; now i need to format the data like here i need to check the parent based on the parent i will be creating objects under the parent objects now { Name="Kumar", Gender="M", Age=75, Parent="All" } this is the top level as a property Parent ="all" now under parent object kumar here we again create a new object to store these information under object(kumar who is the parent) new Users{ Name="Suresh",Gender="M", Age=50, Parent="Kumar"}, new Users{ Name="Bennette", Gender="F",Age=45, Parent="Kumar"}, what i need to do here is i need to check the parent based on the parent create further objects under it ex: i need to achive like this. looking for the syntax how i can do it. public class SampleProjectData { public static ObservableCollection<Product> GetSampleData() { DateTime dtS = DateTime.Now; List<Project>objpro= new List<Project>(); List<Product>objproduct= new List<Product>(); LIst<Task>objTask= new List<Task>(); **now what i need to do is i need to do the mapping between these tables. if you see above. i have object of Product under Product i have added object of Project and then under project object i have added task object.** now from the above data which is stored in the list i need to do the same mapping between class. and group the data. public class Product : INotifyPropertyChanged { public Product() { this.Projects = new ObservableCollection<Project>(); } public string PDName { get; set; } public ObservableCollection<Project> Projects { get; set; } private DateTime _st; public DateTime OverallStartTime { get { return _st; } set { if (this._st != value) { TimeSpan dur = this._et - this._st; this._st = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("OverallStartTime"); this.OverallEndTime = value + dur; } } } private DateTime _et; public DateTime OverallEndTime { get { return _et; } set { if (this._et != value) { this._et = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("OverallEndTime"); } } } #region INotifyPropertyChanged Members protected void OnPropertyChanged(string name) { if (this.PropertyChanged != null) this.PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(name)); } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; #endregion } public class Project : INotifyPropertyChanged { public Project() { this.Tasks = new ObservableCollection<Task>(); } public string PName { get; set; } public ObservableCollection<Task> Tasks { get; set; } DateTime _st; public DateTime OverallStartTime { get { return _st; } set { if (this._st != value) { TimeSpan dur = this._et - this._st; this._st = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("OverallStartTime"); this.OverallEndTime = value + dur; } } } DateTime _et; public DateTime OverallEndTime { get { return _et; } set { if (this._et != value) { this._et = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("OverallEndTime"); } } } #region INotifyPropertyChanged Members protected void OnPropertyChanged(string name) { if (this.PropertyChanged != null) this.PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(name)); } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; #endregion } public class Task : INotifyPropertyChanged { public string TaskName { get; set; } DateTime _st; public DateTime StartTime { get { return _st; } set { if (this._st != value) { TimeSpan dur = this._et - this._st; this._st = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("StartTime"); this.EndTime = value + dur; } } } private DateTime _et; public DateTime EndTime { get { return _et; } set { if (this._et != value) { this._et = value; this.OnPropertyChanged("EndTime"); } } } #region INotifyPropertyChanged Members protected void OnPropertyChanged(string name) { if (this.PropertyChanged != null) this.PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(name)); } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; #endregion } hope my question is clear

  • Increase efficiency of a loop with jQuery

    - by Pez Cuckow
    I have a game coded in jQuery where bots are moved around the screen. The below code is a loop that runs every 20ms, currently if you have over 15 bots you start to notice the browser lagging (simply because of all the advanced collision detection going on). Is there any way to reduce the lag, can I make it any more efficient? • problem with tinymce textarea in dynamically added jquery tabs

    - by kranthi
    I have an aspx page(Default1.aspx),in which i have a static jquery tab and anchor tag upon clicking the anchor tag(Add Tab) I am adding new tab dynamically,which gets its contents loaded from another aspx page(Default2.aspx).This second page contains some text inside a tag,a textarea with 'tinymce' class which is placed inside a div with 'style="display:none" ' and this textarea gets displayed only upon clicking the edit button on that page. The HTML of Default1.aspx page looks like this. <head runat="server"> <title>Untitled Page</title> <script src="js/jquery-1.3.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="js/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <link href="css/custom-theme/jquery-ui-1.7.2.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="css/widgets.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="css/print.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="css/reset.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="js/tiny_mce/jquery.tinymce.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function() { //DECLARE FUNCTION: removetab var removetab = function(tabselector, index) { $(".removetab").click(function(){ $(tabselector).tabs('remove',index); }); }; //create tabs $("#tabs").tabs({ add: function(event, ui) { //select newely opened tab $(this).tabs('select',ui.index); //load function to close tab removetab($(this), ui.index); }, show: function(event, ui) { if($.fn.tinymce) { $('textarea.tinymce').tinymce({ // Location of TinyMCE script script_url : 'js/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js', // General options theme : "advanced", plugins : "safari,style,layer,table,advhr,advimage,advlink,inlinepopups,insertdatetime,preview,media,searchreplace,print,contextmenu,paste,directionality,fullscreen,noneditable,visualchars,nonbreaking,xhtmlxtras,template", // Theme options theme_advanced_buttons1 : "bold,italic,underline,strikethrough,|,bullist,numlist,|,justifyleft,justifycenter,justifyright,justifyfull,styleselect,formatselect,fontselect,fontsizeselect", theme_advanced_buttons2 : "outdent,indent,blockquote,|,undo,redo,|,link,unlink,anchor,image,cleanup,help,code,|,insertdate,inserttime,preview,|,forecolor,backcolor", theme_advanced_buttons3 : "sub,sup,|,ltr,rtl,|,fullscreen", theme_advanced_toolbar_location : "top", theme_advanced_toolbar_align : "left" /*theme_advanced_statusbar_location : "bottom",*/ /*theme_advanced_resizing : true,*/ }); } //load function to close selected tabs removetab($(this), ui.index); } }); //load new tab $(".addtab").click(function(){ var href=$(this).attr("href"); var title=$(this).attr("title"); $("#tabs").tabs( 'add' , href , title+' <span class="removetab ui-icon ui-icon-circle-close" style="float:right; margin: -2px -10px 0px 3px; cursor:pointer;"></span>'); return false; }); }); function showEditFields(){ $('.edit').css('display','inline'); } </script> </head> <body> <form id="form1" runat="server"> <div> <a class="addtab" title="Tab Label" href="HTMLPage.htm">Add Tab</a> <div id="tabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#tabs-1">Default Tab</a></li> </ul> <div id="tabs-1"> <p>Etiam aliquet massa et lorem. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks.

  • Maven2 - problem with pluginManagement and parent-child relationship

    - by Newtopian
    from maven documentation pluginManagement: is an element that is seen along side plugins. Plugin Management contains plugin elements in much the same way, except that rather than configuring plugin information for this particular project build, it is intended to configure project builds that inherit from this one. However, this only configures plugins that are actually referenced within the plugins element in the children. The children have every right to override pluginManagement definitions. Now : if I have this in my parent POM <build> <pluginManagement> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.0</version> <executions> Some stuff for the children </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </pluginManagement> </build> and I run mvn help:effective-pom on the parent project I get what I want, namely the plugins part directly under build (the one doing the work) remains empty. Now if I do the following : <build> <pluginManagement> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.0</version> <executions> Some stuff for the children </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </pluginManagement> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-compiler-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.0.2</version> <inherited>true</inherited> <configuration> <source>1.6</source> <target>1.6</target> </configuration> </plugin> </plugins> </build> mvn help:effective-pom I get again just what I want, the plugins contains just what is declared and the pluginManagement section is ignored. BUT changing with the following <build> <pluginManagement> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.0</version> <executions> Some stuff for the children </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </pluginManagement> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.0</version> <inherited>false</inherited> <!-- this perticular config is NOT for kids... for parent only --> <executions> some stuff for adults only </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </build> and running mvn help:effective-pom the stuff from pluginManagement section is added on top of what is declared already. as such : <build> <pluginManagement> ... </pluginManagement> <plugins> <plugin> <artifactId>maven-dependency-plugin</artifactId> <version>2.0</version> <inherited>false</inherited> <!-- this perticular config is NOT for kids... for parent only --> <executions> Some stuff for the children </execution> <executions> some stuff for adults only </execution> </executions> </plugin> </plugins> </build> Is there a way to exclude the part for children from the parent pom's section ? In effect what I want is for the pluginManagement to behave exactly as the documentation states, that is I want it to apply for children only but not for the project in which it is declared. As a corrolary, is there a way I can override the parts from the pluginManagement by declaring the plugin in the normal build section of a project ? whatever I try I get that the section is added to executions but I cannot override one that exists already. EDIT: I never did find an acceptable solution for this and as such the issue remains open. Closest solution was offered below and is currently the accepted solution for this question until something better comes up. Right now there are three ways to achieve the desired result (modulate plugin behaviour depending on where in the inheritance hierarchy the current POM is): 1 - using profiles, it will work but you must beware that profiles are not inherited, which is somewhat counter intuitive. They are (if activated) applied to the POM where declared and then this generated POM is propagated down. As such the only way to activate the profile for child POM is specifically on the command line (least I did not find another way). Property, file and other means of activation fail to activate the POM because the trigger is not in the POM where the profile is declared. 2 - (this is what I ended up doing) Declare the plugin as not inherited in the parent and re-declare (copy-paste) the tidbit in every child where it is wanted. Not ideal but it is simple and it works. 3 - Split the aggregation nature and parent nature of the parent POM. Then since the part that only applies to the parent is in a different project it is now possible to use pluginManagement as firstly intended. However this means that a new artificial project must be created that does not contribute to the end product but only serves the could system. This is clear case of conceptual bleed. Also this only applies to my specific and is hard to generalize, so I abandoned efforts to try and make this work in favor of the not-pretty but more contained cut and paste patch described in 2. If anyone coming across this question has a better solution either because of my lack of knowledge of Maven or because the tool evolved to allow this please post the solution here for future reference. Thank you all for your help :-)

  • Where should I start with debugging my exchange server?

    - by joadha
    I'm (foolishly?) attempting to install Exchange on top of Windows Server 2008 (64-bit) over Virtual Box running on Mac OSX Lion. Everything went smoothly until I got to the "Readiness Checks" tab. Readiness failed spectacularly on Hub Transport Role and Mailbox Role prereqs. Before I go too far down the rabbit hole in attempting to remedy this, I was hoping I could get some input on where to start in all of this. I already set up the following Active Directory roles, but it didn't seem to help: Active Directory Domain Services Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services I also enabled an Application Server role. Those three are the only roles I've set up-- I cannot locate within Server Manager the Organization Manager role or any of the other roles referenced in the list of borkedness below. Is this a typical experience in Exchange installation? Is there a tutorial created by somebody outside of Microsoft? Here's the output from Readiness Checks: Summary: 5 item(s). 2 succeeded, 3 failed. • YUI Uploader hangs after choosing file

    - by stephenbayer
    Below is my entire code from a User control that contains the YUI Uploader. Is there something I'm missing. Right now, when I step through the javascript code in Firebug, it hangs on the first line of the upload() function. I have a breakpoint on the first line of the ashx that handles the file, but it is never called. So, it doesn't get that far. I figure I'm just missing something stupid. I've used this control many times before with no issues. I'm using all the css files and graphics provided by the samples folder in the YUI download. If I'm not missing anything, is there a more comprehensive way of debuging this issue then through stepping through the javascript with FireBug. I've tried turning the logging for YUI on and off, and never get any logs anywhere. I'm not sure where to go now. <style type="text/css"> #divFile { background-color:White; border:2px inset Ivory; height:21px; margin-left:-2px; margin-right:9px; width:125px; } </style> <ajaxToolkit:RoundedCornersExtender runat="server" Corners="All" Radius="6" ID="rceContainer" TargetControlID="pnlMMAdmin" /> <asp:Panel ID="pnlMMAdmin" runat="server" Width="100%" BackColor="Silver" ForeColor="#ffffff" Font-Bold="true" Font-Size="16px"> <div style="padding: 5px; text-align:center; width: 100%;"> <table style="width: 100% ; border: none; text-align: left;"> <tr> <td style="width: 460px; vertical-align: top;"> <!-- information panel --> <ajaxToolkit:RoundedCornersExtender runat="server" Corners="All" Radius="6" ID="RoundedCornersExtender1" TargetControlID="pnlInfo" /> <asp:Panel ID="pnlInfo" runat="server" Width="100%" BackColor="Silver" ForeColor="#ffffff" Font-Bold="true" Font-Size="16px"> <div id="infoPanel" style="padding: 5px; text-align:left; width: 100%;"> <table> <tr><td>Chart</td><td> <table><tr><td><div id="divFile" ></div></td><td><div id="uploaderContainer" style="width:60px; height:25px"></div></td></tr> <tr><td colspan="2"><div id="progressBar"></div></td></tr></table> </td></tr> </table> </div></asp:Panel> <script type="text/javascript" language="javascript"> WYSIWYG.attach('<%= txtComment.ClientID %>', full); var uploader = new YAHOO.widget.Uploader("uploaderContainer", "assets/buttonSkin.jpg"); uploader.addListener('contentReady', handleContentReady); uploader.addListener('fileSelect', onFileSelect) uploader.addListener('uploadStart', onUploadStart); uploader.addListener('uploadProgress', onUploadProgress); uploader.addListener('uploadCancel', onUploadCancel); uploader.addListener('uploadComplete', onUploadComplete); uploader.addListener('uploadCompleteData', onUploadResponse); uploader.addListener('uploadError', onUploadError); function handleContentReady() { // Allows the uploader to send log messages to trace, as well as to YAHOO.log uploader.setAllowLogging(false); // Restrict selection to a single file (that's what it is by default, // just demonstrating how). uploader.setAllowMultipleFiles(false); // New set of file filters. var ff = new Array({ description: "Images", extensions: "*.jpg;*.png;*.gif" }); // Apply new set of file filters to the uploader. uploader.setFileFilters(ff); } var fileID; function onFileSelect(event) { for (var item in event.fileList) { if (YAHOO.lang.hasOwnProperty(event.fileList, item)) { YAHOO.log(event.fileList[item].id); fileID = event.fileList[item].id; } } uploader.disable(); var filename = document.getElementById("divFile"); filename.innerHTML = event.fileList[fileID].name; var progressbar = document.getElementById("progressBar"); progressbar.innerHTML = "Please wait... • Python regex to parse text file, get the items in list and count the list

    - by Nemo
    I have a text file which contains some data. I m particularly interested in finding the count of the number of items in v_dims v_dims pattern in my text file looks like this : v_dims={ "Sales", "Product Family", "Sales Organization", "Region", "Sales Area", "Sales office", "Sales Division", "Sales Person", "Sales Channel", "Sales Order Type", "Sales Number", "Sales Person", "Sales Quantity", "Sales Amount" } So I m thinking of getting all the elements in v_dims and dumping them out in a Python list. Then compute the len(mylist) to get the count of the items. The challenge is in getting all the elements of v_dims from my text file and putting them in an empty list. I m particularly interested in items in v_dims in my text file. The text file has data in the form of v_dims pattern i showed in my original post. Some data has nested patterns of v_dims. Thanks. Here's what I have tried and failed. Any help is appreciated. TIA. import re fname = "C:\Users\XXXX\Test.mrk" with open(fname, "r") as fo: content_as_string = fo.read() match = re.findall(r'v_dims={\"(.+?)\"}',content_as_string) Though I have a big text file, Here's a snippet of what's the structure of my text file version "1"; // Computer generated object language file object 'MRKR' "Main" { Data_Type=2, HeaderBlock={ Version_String="6.3 (25)" },     Hi! I have an application with a viewstack that contains all the components that need to be displayed. The navigation is defined in the main application. All the components are based on canvas. The main application looks like that: <mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" xmlns:components="components.*"> <mx:VBox width="1024" height="100%" horizontalCenter="0" verticalGap="0" backgroundColor="#FFFFFF"> <mx:Image id="header" verticalAlign="top" /> <mx:ViewStack id="body" horizontalCenter="0" verticalCenter="0" width="100%" height="100%"> <components:HomePage id="hp" width="100%"/> <components:CollectionSelection id="cs" width="100%"/> <components:SearchEngine id="se" width="100%"/> <components:SearchResult id="sr" width="100%"/> <components:Tray id="tr" width="100%"/> <components:Order id="or" width="100%"/> </mx:ViewStack> <mx:Image id="footer" verticalAlign="bottom" maintainAspectRatio="false" width="100%"/> </mx:VBox> </mx:Application> I'm getting a strange behaviour from the TRAY component. Here's the code for component Tray (I've only left the display info): <mx:Canvas xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"> <mx:Image id="bg" horizontalCenter="0" verticalCenter="0" width="100%" height="100%" maintainAspectRatio="false"/> <mx:HBox width="100%"> <mx:Button x="20" y="20" label="BACK"/> <mx:Spacer width="100%"/> <mx:LinkBar itemClick="linkbar_itemClick(event)" styleName="GLBLinkBTN" separatorColor="#FFFFFF" separatorWidth="1" > <mx:dataProvider> <mx:Object label="CLEAR"/> <mx:Object label="LOGOUT"/> </mx:dataProvider> </mx:LinkBar> </mx:HBox> <mx:VBox id="mainBox" horizontalCenter="0" verticalCenter="0" verticalGap="0"> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="50" backgroundColor="#60524D" verticalAlign="bottom" paddingBottom="5"> <mx:Label styleName="TRTitle" paddingLeft="15"/> <mx:Spacer width="100%"/> <mx:Label styleName="TRItems" paddingRight="15"/> </mx:HBox> <mx:HorizontalList id="hlist" dataProvider="{TrayData.instance.itemsCollection}" columnCount="{TrayData.instance.hlistColumns}" rowCount="1" itemRenderer="components.TrayItem" horizontalScrollPolicy="off" rollOverColor="#FFFFFF" selectionColor="#FFFFFF" horizontalCenter="0" verticalCenter="0" borderStyle="none" horizontalScrollPosition="{TrayData.instance.hsPosition}" /> <mx:HBox width="100%" backgroundColor="#E7DDDB" height="40" verticalAlign="middle" paddingLeft="20" paddingRight="20"> <mx:Box width="25" verticalAlign="middle" horizontalAlign="left"> <mx:Button id="leftBtn" /> </mx:Box> <mx:Spacer width="100%"/> <mx:Box width="25" verticalAlign="middle" horizontalAlign="right"> <mx:Button id="rightBtn" /> </mx:Box> </mx:HBox> </mx:VBox> </mx:Canvas> All the components are displaying properly. However, sometimes, randomly, the vbox "mainBox" in the tray component is not displaying as it should: the horizontallist shrinks and instead of fully displaying its items, I get horizontal and vertical scrollbars for each item... I'm currently trying to reproduce this behaviour (to get a print screen) but right know, it's working fine... -_-' As soon as I get it work as it shouldn't, I'll upload an image. Here's the code for the itemRenderer (just in case...): <mx:VBox xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" > <mx:HBox width="100%" paddingTop="0" paddingBottom="0" paddingRight="3"> <mx:Spacer width="100%"/> <mx:Box width="14" height="14" verticalAlign="middle" horizontalAlign="center"> <mx:Button width="8" height="8"/> </mx:Box> </mx:HBox> <mx:VBox paddingLeft="20" paddingRight="20" verticalGap="15" paddingBottom="15"> <mx:Canvas id="thumbnail"> <mx:Image id="thumbnailBG" /> <mx:Image id="thumbnailIM" /> </mx:Canvas > <mx:VBox width="100%" verticalGap="7"> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label paddingBottom="5"/> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74"opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> <mx:HBox width="100%" height="13"> <mx:Label width="74" opaqueBackground="#ECE5E2"/> <mx:Label /> </mx:HBox> </mx:VBox> <mx:Button /> </mx:VBox> </mx:VBox> Your help would really be appreciated. Regards, BS_C3

  • NetLogo 4.1 - implementation of a motorway ( Problem creating collision of cars )

    Hi there, I am trying to create a simulation of motorway and the behaviour of the drivers in NetLogo. I have some questions that I m struggling to solve. Here is my code: globals [ selected-car ;; the currently selected car average-speed ;; average speed of all the cars look-ahead ] turtles-own [ speed ;; the current speed of the car speed-limit ;; the maximum speed of the car (different for all cars) lane ;; the current lane of the car target-lane ;; the desired lane of the car change? ;; true if the car wants to change lanes patience ;; the driver's current patience max-patience ;; the driver's maximum patience ] to setup ca import-drawing "my_road3.png" set-default-shape turtles "car" crt number_of_cars [ setup-cars ] end to setup-cars set color blue set size .9 set lane (random 3) set target-lane (lane + 1) setxy round random-xcor (lane + 1) set heading 90 set speed 0.1 + random 9.9 set speed-limit (((random 11) / 10) + 1) set change? false set max-patience ((random 50) + 10) set patience (max-patience - (random 10)) ;; make sure no two cars are on the same patch loop [ ifelse any? other turtles-here [ fd 1 ] [ stop ] ;if count turtles-here > 1 ; fd 0.1 ;if ; ;ifelse (any? turtles-on neighbors) or (count turtles-here > 1) ;[ ; ifelse (count turtles-here = 1) ; [ if any? turtles-on neighbors ; [ ; if distance min-one-of turtles-on neighbors [distance myself] > 0.9 ; [stop] ; ] ; ] ; [ fd 0.1 ] ;] ;[ stop ] ] end to go drive end to drive ;; first determine average speed of the cars set average-speed ((sum [speed] of turtles) / number_of_cars) ;set-current-plot "Car Speeds" ;set-current-plot-pen "average" ;plot average-speed ;set-current-plot-pen "max" ;plot (max [speed] of turtles) ;set-current-plot-pen "min" ;plot (abs (min [speed] of turtles) ) ;set-current-plot-pen "selected-car" ;plot ([speed] of selected-car) ask turtles [ ifelse (any? turtles-at 1 0) [ set speed ([speed] of (one-of (turtles-at 1 0))) decelerate ] [ ifelse (look-ahead = 2) [ ifelse (any? turtles-at 2 0) [ set speed ([speed] of (one-of turtles-at 2 0)) decelerate ] [ accelerate if count turtles-at 0 1 = 0 and ycor < 2.5 [lt 90 fd 1 rt 90] ] ] [accelerate if count turtles-at 0 1 = 0 and ycor < 2.5 [lt 90 fd 1 rt 90] ] ] if (speed < 0.01) [ set speed 0.01 ] if (speed > speed-limit) [ set speed speed-limit ] ifelse (change? = false) [ signal ] [ change-lanes ] ;; Control for making sure no one crashes. ifelse (any? turtles-at 1 0) and (xcor != min-pxcor - .5) [ set speed [speed] of (one-of turtles-at 1 0) ] [ ifelse ((any? turtles-at 2 0) and (speed > 1.0)) [ set speed ([speed] of (one-of turtles-at 2 0)) fd 1 ] [jump speed] ] ] tick end ;; increase speed of cars to accelerate ;; turtle procedure set speed (speed + (speed-up / 1000)) end ;; reduce speed of cars to decelerate ;; turtle procedure set speed (speed - (slow-down / 1000)) end to signal ifelse (any? turtles-at 1 0) [ if ([speed] of (one-of (turtles-at 1 0))) < (speed) [ set change? true ] ] [ set change? false ] end ;; undergoes search algorithms to change-lanes ;; turtle procedure show ycor ifelse (patience <= 0) [ ifelse (max-patience <= 1) [ set max-patience (random 10) + 1 ] [ set max-patience (max-patience - (random 5)) ] set patience max-patience ifelse (target-lane = 0) [ set target-lane 1 set lane 0 ] [ set target-lane 0 set lane 1 ] ] [ set patience (patience - 1) ] ifelse (target-lane = lane) [ ifelse (target-lane = 0) [ set target-lane 1 set change? false ] [ set target-lane 0 set change? false ] ] [ ifelse (target-lane = 1) [ ifelse (pycor = 2) [ set lane 1 set change? false ] [ ifelse (not any? turtles-at 0 1) [ set ycor (ycor + 1) ] [ ifelse (not any? turtles-at 1 0) [ set xcor (xcor + 1) ] [ decelerate if (speed <= 0) [ set speed 0.1 ] ] ] ] ] [ ifelse (pycor = -2) [ set lane 0 set change? false ] [ ifelse (not any? turtles-at 0 -1) [ set ycor (ycor - 1) ] [ ifelse (not any? turtles-at 1 0) [ set xcor (xcor + 1) ] [ decelerate if (speed <= 0) [ set speed 0.1 ] ] ] ] ] ] end I know its a bit messy because I am using code from other models from the library. I want to know how to create the collision of the cars. I can't think of any idea. As you notice my agent has almost the same size as the patch (I set it to 0.9 so that you can distinguish the space between 2 cars when they are set next to each other and I round the coordinates so that they are set to the centre of the patch). In my accelerate procedure I set my agent to turn left, move 1, turn right in a loop. I want to know if there's a command that lets me make the agent jump from one lane to the other (to the patch next to it on its left) without making it turn and move. And last, if you notice the code i created the car checks the patch that is next to it on the lane on its left and the patch in front of it and the back of it. So if the 3 patches on its left are empty then it can change lane. The fuzzy part is that when i run the setup and I press Go sometimes (not always) the car goes out of the 3 basic lanes. To understand this I have 7 lanes. The middle one which I don't use which is lane 0. Then there are 3 lanes on top of lane 0 and 3 below it. So the code I am using refers to the upper 3 lanes where I set the cars but for some reason some of the cars change lane and go to lane -3 then -2 and so forth. If someone can give me a tip I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance. Tip: if you want to try this code in netlogo keep in mind that on interface tab I have 2 buttons one setup and one go as well as 3 sliders with names: number_of_cars , speed-up , slow-down.

  • Windows could not start Apache 2 on the local computer

    - by andig
    After installing PHP 5.3, Windows is unable to start Apache 2.2. Apache's error log is empty, no error message on startup: C:\Programme\Apache\bin>httpd -k start C:\Programme\Apache\bin>httpd -k stop The Apache2.2 service is not started. C:\Programme\Apache\bin>httpd -k config Reconfiguring the Apache2.2 service The Apache2.2 service is successfully installed. Testing httpd.conf.... Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started. I have no clue where to look for the cause. php5apache2_2.dll is copied to the Apache modules folder. The configuration looks like this: LoadModule php5_module modules/php5apache2_2.dll PHPIniDir "C:/programme/php" Where and how can I start diagnosis? The only hint I have so far is that startup fails as soon as a PHP module is enabled in the configuration. Is there a way to get more details out of the Apache startup process? This is the http.conf: # # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the # configuration directives that give the server its instructions. # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information. # In particular, see # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html> # for a discussion of each configuration directive. # # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure # consult the online docs. You have been warned. # # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/foo.log" # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Programme/Apache" will be interpreted by the # server as "C:/Programme/Apache/logs/foo.log". # # NOTE: Where filenames are specified, you must use forward slashes # instead of backslashes (e.g., "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache"). # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located # will be used by default. It is recommended that you always supply # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion. # # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's # configuration, error, and log files are kept. # # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive # at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple # httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile. # ServerRoot "C:/Programme/Apache" # # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost> # directive. # # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses. # #Listen 12.34.56.78:80 Listen 80 # # Dynamic Shared Object (DSO) Support # # To be able to use the functionality of a module which was built as a DSO you # have to place corresponding `LoadModule' lines at this location so the # directives contained in it are actually available _before_ they are used. # Statically compiled modules (those listed by `httpd -l') do not need # to be loaded here. # # Example: # LoadModule foo_module modules/mod_foo.so # LoadModule actions_module modules/mod_actions.so LoadModule alias_module modules/mod_alias.so LoadModule asis_module modules/mod_asis.so LoadModule auth_basic_module modules/mod_auth_basic.so #LoadModule auth_digest_module modules/mod_auth_digest.so #LoadModule authn_alias_module modules/mod_authn_alias.so #LoadModule authn_anon_module modules/mod_authn_anon.so #LoadModule authn_dbd_module modules/mod_authn_dbd.so #LoadModule authn_dbm_module modules/mod_authn_dbm.so LoadModule authn_default_module modules/mod_authn_default.so LoadModule authn_file_module modules/mod_authn_file.so #LoadModule authnz_ldap_module modules/mod_authnz_ldap.so #LoadModule authz_dbm_module modules/mod_authz_dbm.so LoadModule authz_default_module modules/mod_authz_default.so LoadModule authz_groupfile_module modules/mod_authz_groupfile.so LoadModule authz_host_module modules/mod_authz_host.so #LoadModule authz_owner_module modules/mod_authz_owner.so LoadModule authz_user_module modules/mod_authz_user.so LoadModule autoindex_module modules/mod_autoindex.so #LoadModule cache_module modules/mod_cache.so #LoadModule cern_meta_module modules/mod_cern_meta.so LoadModule cgi_module modules/mod_cgi.so #LoadModule charset_lite_module modules/mod_charset_lite.so #LoadModule dav_module modules/mod_dav.so #LoadModule dav_fs_module modules/mod_dav_fs.so #LoadModule dav_lock_module modules/mod_dav_lock.so #LoadModule dbd_module modules/mod_dbd.so #LoadModule deflate_module modules/mod_deflate.so LoadModule dir_module modules/mod_dir.so #LoadModule disk_cache_module modules/mod_disk_cache.so #LoadModule dumpio_module modules/mod_dumpio.so LoadModule env_module modules/mod_env.so #LoadModule expires_module modules/mod_expires.so #LoadModule ext_filter_module modules/mod_ext_filter.so #LoadModule file_cache_module modules/mod_file_cache.so #LoadModule filter_module modules/mod_filter.so #LoadModule headers_module modules/mod_headers.so #LoadModule ident_module modules/mod_ident.so #LoadModule imagemap_module modules/mod_imagemap.so LoadModule include_module modules/mod_include.so #LoadModule info_module modules/mod_info.so LoadModule isapi_module modules/mod_isapi.so #LoadModule ldap_module modules/mod_ldap.so #LoadModule logio_module modules/mod_logio.so LoadModule log_config_module modules/mod_log_config.so #LoadModule log_forensic_module modules/mod_log_forensic.so #LoadModule mem_cache_module modules/mod_mem_cache.so LoadModule mime_module modules/mod_mime.so #LoadModule mime_magic_module modules/mod_mime_magic.so LoadModule negotiation_module modules/mod_negotiation.so #LoadModule proxy_module modules/mod_proxy.so #LoadModule proxy_ajp_module modules/mod_proxy_ajp.so #LoadModule proxy_balancer_module modules/mod_proxy_balancer.so #LoadModule proxy_connect_module modules/mod_proxy_connect.so #LoadModule proxy_ftp_module modules/mod_proxy_ftp.so #LoadModule proxy_http_module modules/mod_proxy_http.so #LoadModule proxy_scgi_module modules/mod_proxy_scgi.so #LoadModule reqtimeout_module modules/mod_reqtimeout.so #LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so LoadModule setenvif_module modules/mod_setenvif.so #LoadModule speling_module modules/mod_speling.so #LoadModule ssl_module modules/mod_ssl.so #LoadModule status_module modules/mod_status.so #LoadModule substitute_module modules/mod_substitute.so #LoadModule unique_id_module modules/mod_unique_id.so #LoadModule userdir_module modules/mod_userdir.so #LoadModule usertrack_module modules/mod_usertrack.so #LoadModule version_module modules/mod_version.so #LoadModule vhost_alias_module modules/mod_vhost_alias.so #!! I want to make a bookmarklet so that when I go on Digg, I can simply click it and have the top 10 stories open up in new tabs. • Wikipedia API: list=alllinks confusion

    - by Chris Salij
    I'm doing a research project for the summer and I've got to use get some data from Wikipedia, store it and then do some analysis on it. I'm using the Wikipedia API to gather the data and I've got that down pretty well. What my questions is in regards to the links-alllinks option in the API doc here After reading the description, both there and in the API itself (it's down and bit and I can't link directly to the section), I think I understand what it's supposed to return. However when I ran a query it gave me back something I didn't expect. Here's the query I ran: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=revisions&titles=google&rvprop=ids|timestamp|user|comment|content&rvlimit=1&list=alllinks&alunique&allimit=40&format=xml Which in essence says: Get the last revision of the Google page, include the id, timestamp, user, comment and content of each revision, and return it in XML format. The allinks (I thought) should give me back a list of wikipedia pages which point to the google page (In this case the first 40 unique ones). I'm not sure what the policy is on swears, but this is the result I got back exactly: <?xml version="1.0"?> <api> <query><normalized> <n from="google" to="Google" /> </normalized> <pages> <page pageid="1092923" ns="0" title="Google"> <revisions> <rev revid="366826294" parentid="366673948" user="Citation bot" timestamp="2010-06-08T17:18:31Z" comment="Citations: [161]Tweaked: url. No nearly what I thought I'd get. I've done a fair bit of searching but I can't seem to find a direct answer to my question. What should the list=alllinks option return? Why am I getting this crap in there? Thanks for your help
