  I am developing a commenting application. Users will be able to integrate this application in Blogs. I am unsure how to make the comments searchable in Search Engines. What I want is all the comments which are being posted should be included in Search Engine results when searched with relevant keywords. Please give me some hint how to do this. Do I need to use meta tags ? If so, how should I create them?

• Are the contents in the front page considered as duplicate of the post?

  I asked this same question on stackoverflow, but closed being off topic. Therefore, I am posting it here. In Wordpress blogs, the front page of the blog will display many posts in whole or excerpts. When the link to the post is clicked, the content will be opened with an other template file(single.php). Can we say that the content displayed in the front page and the post pages are considered as duplicate? Does it harm SEO in any way?

Analysis: The error message itself explains why you cannot deploy the solution to a web application. However if you do not like to deploy the solution to all the web applications and only like to deploy your solution to a specific application , you need to change the solution settings Assembly Deployment Target from GlobalAssemblyCache to WebApplication. • how do you spend your day? a day from a programmer's life [closed]

  First of all I'm 26 and I'm asking this question because I want to see how do you manage your time. Also I'm interested how do the programmers with a family(wife, several kids) manage their time. I'm asking this due the fact that I'm working aprox 7,5 hours at work (9 to 5), spent 1,5 hours on the way to/from workplace, and when I'm home I must cook/clean/etc and LEARN! And I have the impression that I don't have enough time to learn. Did you have a period similar in your life? To want to learn another language/improve your development/other skills? I saw here and on SO that there are a lot of peoples with +10k points, this in my mind means that they stay on blogs/forums more than 15 hours a day. • Application versioning

  Haven't find similar issue so sorry if thats a duplicate. I'm about to start a migration of an already existing project from one web container version to the another. Currently, the application version is 2.2.5. Business requirement is to deliver a 3.0 version by the end of the year. Additional constraint is to release a working, stable version by the end of Q3. We are about to work in 2-weeks sprints and I'm wondering how can I approach the problem? I was thinking about releasing 2.3 by the end of Q2, then immediately promoting it as 3.0-a1, work on alphas (3.0-a2, 3.0-a3, ...) till the end of Q3, to start with 3.0-b1 in the early Q4 and finally release 3.0 around December. I don't feel comfortable saying that the application is already in 3.0 state in July, but I can't see other options. If you find some book chapters/blogs or your personal experience interesting please share your opinion.

  Hello I'm trying to make some kind of tool for an school website, what I need to do is to make students take a test and according to what are the results (27 posibilities) they get a set of activities (questions) according to their level which they can solve in around 3 months logging periodically to the website, plus I need teachers to log and look at the reports. Now, I'm a graphic designer myself so my skills are mostly html5 and css3 and I know some php (edit existing ones only) and javascript (jquery) as well, most people tell me that I need a CMS to do the tool but all I find is CMS for display like blogs or news websites which I think aren't useful for me because the website is already made in html and css3 only (I need to add an extra page for the tool) I understand I need to create users and give them special rights according to what type of user they are and I also understand that I need a database where I can store all my questions. What is the best way to do this? what do you suggest me? Thanks

  Beginners and professional, on blogs, in forums and chatrooms - people say it everywhere: C++ oh dear god no The short form of the question: For what reason is C++ so widely disliked and people are horrified by the imagination of using it for some project? I have been using a lot of different languages, including C++ by now, and I can only say that I really like it. I'm far more horrified by Delphi than by C++. Actually, I find it's an almost perfect, compiled language! I've been doing a lot of different projects in C++ as well, ranging from 3D video games to webservers and emulators for old video game consoles. And I still do not see the problem everyone else seems to have with it! It was hard for me to get into it of course, as it is quite complex and has a lot of depth, but after that it's simply great.

  I am trying to follow a very important standard that I must admit I have ignored up until recently. I want to make sure that my pages are accessible to a large portion of people that have disabilities. I focus mainly on tutorials that are text and image intensive, but no video / flash or any kind of animations. What is a checklist that I can follow to ensure that many people with disabilities can have a good experience when using my web site, and what disabilities should I be most conscious of? I know that I can't possibly please everyone. I have gone through the W3C guidelines, however I'm not entirely sure what standards apply to me. I'm not building web applications, I'm building mostly wiki like information exchanges, blogs and the occasional forum.

• Application didnt upgraded after upgrading ubuntu to 13.10

  I upgraded my laptop from ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10. Its working like a charm. But I doubt if software-center, file manager, vlc, etc upgraded. Still I am not getting the new versions of softwares in software-center. I am not able to see any new features in file managers as was noted on many blogs. VLC still showing the old version 2.0.8. Its being said that its upgraded to VLC 2.1 or just a dist-upgrade would do the job. But it didn't. Also I need to know the default applications (with version) provided by ubuntu 13.10 Kindly help.

  We have a site. our main servers is for blogs and freedom write. Our custom can submit their article in our site. But for ptotect the copywrite, we do not allow custom just do easy copy and parse a whole article from other site. At least they should write something by themselves. And how to check if the article is a completed copy from other site? google webmasters? google search api? or other better way? • Are there any conceptual drawbacks to building a web app with C++ and MySQL?

  I've inherited a pretty interesting project where there is a good opportunity to take an existing piece of software and turn it into a SaaS web app. As the project is inherited, the code base/ framework is already defined as C++ and MySQL. The app itself is compiled and run as an EXE on Windows Server. The UI is web based and the app works as a kind of server. From what I do know of modern web apps, this is perhaps an unusual choice. These days, most people seem to opt for a PHP framework or Ruby on Rails. Certainly that is the impression I get from reading blogs on the subject. So, I'm very interested to know if a C++ EXE backed by MySQL is a solid foundation for a web app, or whether we should be looking to build in another way?

  I recently attended a conference and met some insanely talented developers with mile-long lists of accomplishments. One puzzling thing I noticed about many of these wildly successful people is that a lot of their output (books, blogs, games, mobile apps) are done as hobby projects outside of their normal jobs. Not only this, but most of them were married, and some even with children. I'm absolutely baffled by this. My question is targeted to folks that are married, working full time, and also spend time outside of work on hobby projects or extra programming. The question is: How many hours do you put in programming outside of your normal job, and how do you balance it with your family life?

  I am writing a RTSP client in Android. I am able to receive the Responses for all the requests i.e., DESCRIBE it sends back the 200 OK SETUP with transport: RTP/AVP:unicast:client_port=4568:4569 got the 200 OK Message back Sent PLAY, and got the OK Message After that how to get the audio and video frames? I have searched on blogs, but all say to listen at client_port but I am not receiving any packets. Please let me know am I doing correctly.
