  • how to make a column width size fixed in datagridview asp?

    - by user306671
    Hi, i have this column in a datagridview on aspx page <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Observacion"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblOrderID" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("Observacion") %>'></asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> <ItemStyle Width="200px" Wrap="False" /> </asp:TemplateField> I have set up the itemstyle with and wrap to false, but anyways the width columns grows the the data is too long. i just want to change the height of the column not the width. Here us the complete code of the datagridview <asp:GridView ID="GridView1" runat="server" AutoGenerateDeleteButton="True" CellPadding="4" EnableModelValidation="True" ForeColor="#333333" GridLines="None" AutoGenerateColumns="False"> <columns> <asp:boundfield datafield="ID_OBSERVACION" visible="False" /> <asp:boundfield datafield="AUTOR" headertext="Autor" /> <asp:boundfield datafield="FECHA" headertext="Fecha" /> <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Observacion"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblOrderID" runat="server" Text='<%# Eval("Observacion") %>'></asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> <ItemStyle Width="200px" Wrap="False" /> </asp:TemplateField> </columns> <AlternatingRowStyle BackColor="White" ForeColor="#284775" Wrap="False" /> <EditRowStyle BackColor="#999999" /> <FooterStyle BackColor="#5D7B9D" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="White" /> <HeaderStyle BackColor="#5D7B9D" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="White" /> <PagerStyle BackColor="#284775" ForeColor="White" HorizontalAlign="Center" /> <RowStyle BackColor="#F7F6F3" ForeColor="#333333" Wrap="False" /> <SelectedRowStyle BackColor="#E2DED6" Font-Bold="True" ForeColor="#333333" /> </asp:GridView>

  • XAML, binding Width and Height properties to the same properties of other control

    - by JAG
    I'm trying to create a reflection effect and it's working great except that I have to hard-code some values. This is my XAML: <Grid> <Grid.RowDefinitions> <RowDefinition Height="60"/> <RowDefinition /> <RowDefinition Height="80"/> </Grid.RowDefinitions> <StackPanel Grid.Row="1" VerticalAlignment="Center"> <UserControl x:Name="CurrentPresenter" /> <Border Width="500" Height="200" > <Border.Background> <VisualBrush Visual="{Binding ElementName=CurrentPresenter}" > <VisualBrush.Transform> <TransformGroup> <ScaleTransform ScaleX="1" ScaleY="-1" CenterX="500" CenterY="99" /> </TransformGroup> </VisualBrush.Transform> </VisualBrush> </Border.Background> <Border.OpacityMask> <LinearGradientBrush StartPoint="0,0" EndPoint="0,0.6"> <GradientStop Offset="-0.6" Color="Black"></GradientStop> <GradientStop Offset="0.6" Color="Transparent"></GradientStop> </LinearGradientBrush> </Border.OpacityMask> </Border> </StackPanel> </Grid> I've tried to replace Border's Width="500" and Height="200" by Width="{Binding ElementName=CurrentPresenter, Path=Width}" and Height="{Binding ElementName=CurrentPresenter, Path=Height}" but it doesn't seem to work. Wha's wrong with this code? UPDATE: If I set Width and Height here: <UserControl x:Name="CurrentPresenter" Height="200" Width="500" /> It works as expected. However it doesn't work if I set those values in the UserControl XAML. Any ideas?

  • Java problem: Could not find main class HelloWorld

    - by Newbie
    I am new to java(a real novice). I installed Java 1.7.0 in the following folder C:\Program Files\Java The environment variable which I set are CLASSPATH : C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0\jre\lib\rt.jar; Path : C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0\bin; JAVA_HOME : C:\Program Files\Java; I have presented here the class names which are in my system. Next I wrote a program(HelloWorld.java) import java.io.*; class HelloWorld { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println("Hello World!"); } } When I am compiling using javac HelloWorld.java it is compiling fine. But after I issue java HelloWorld I am encountering the below error Error: Could not find main class HelloWorld Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: HelloWorld at sun.launcher.LauncherHelper.checkAndLoadMain(LauncherHelper.java:198) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: HelloWorld at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:299) at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:288) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:287) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:422) at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:325) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:355) at sun.launcher.LauncherHelper.checkAndLoadMain(LauncherHelper.java:195) After a bit of google search I found that may be something wrong in the environment variable. I tried to play with that but no luck. I know that it may be a very simple thing for the real java developers(actually basic) but for me as of now no luck! I even RESTARTED the machine and then again I tried to run but with same fate. OS: Windows XP(Version 2002) with Service pack 3 Help needed . Thanks .

  • Vertical crosshair reposition on Google Map after map resize Issue

    - by joe
    I use the following function to add a crosshair to my Google Map. It works great for horizontal resizing. I can not figure out how to make it work for vertical. After resizing the map it requires the user to either zoom in or out 1 layer, upon which the crosshair snaps to center. var crosshairsSize=17; GMap2.prototype.addCrosshairs=function(){ var container=this.getContainer(); if(this.crosshairs){$(this.crosshairs).remove();} var crosshairs=document.createElement("img"); crosshairs.src='../images/crosshair2.gif'; crosshairs.style.width=crosshairsSize+'px'; crosshairs.style.height=crosshairsSize+'px'; crosshairs.style.border='0'; crosshairs.style.position='relative'; crosshairs.style.top=((parseInt(container.clientHeight)-crosshairsSize)/2)+'px'; crosshairs.style.left="0px"; // The map is centered so 0 will do crosshairs.style.zIndex='500'; container.appendChild(crosshairs); this.crosshairs=crosshairs; return crosshairs;}; I use map.checkResize(); and the map is correct, it's just the crosshair that is off. I've tried firing a javascript zoom in one level but it doesn't work like zooming in with the mouse. It's only zooming in/out with the mouse scroll wheel too... clicking and dragging the zoom slider doesn't work so somehow it's liking the mouse scroll wheel. Firing addCrosshairs(); after resize makes no difference. It places the new crosshair in old spot and still requires a mouse scroll zoom.

  • jQuery.post() issues with passing data to jQuery UI

    - by solefald
    Hello, I am trying to get jQuery.post() to run my php script and then open a jQuery UI dialog with the data that php script returns. Its supposed to come back as a form with a table and a textarea in it. It works great with alert(data); and i get a pop-up with all my data. The problem starts if i turn off alert(). Now it opens 2 dialogs. One containing only the table, without textarea, and the second one absolutely empty. What am i doing wrong here? How come all my data shows up in the alert(), but not in dialog? What do i need to do to fix it? Oh, and do i need to also include $.ajax() before the $.post()? Thank you. $.post("/path/to/script.php", { id: this.id, value: value }, function(data){ // THIS WORKS //alert(data); // THIS DOES NOT WORK $(data).dialog({ autoOpen: true, width: 400, modal: true, position: 'center', resizable: false, draggable: true, title: 'Pending Changes' }); } );

  • How to map coordinates in AxesImage to coordinates in saved image file?

    - by Vebjorn Ljosa
    I use matplotlib to display a matrix of numbers as an image, attach labels along the axes, and save the plot to a PNG file. For the purpose of creating an HTML image map, I need to know the pixel coordinates in the PNG file for a region in the image being displayed by imshow. I have found an example of how to do this with a regular plot, but when I try to do the same with imshow, the mapping is not correct. Here is my code, which saves an image and attempts to print the pixel coordinates of the center of each square on the diagonal: import numpy as np import matplotlib.pyplot as plt fig = plt.figure() ax = fig.add_axes([0.1, 0.1, 0.8, 0.8]) axim = ax.imshow(np.random.random((27,27)), interpolation='nearest') for x, y in axim.get_transform().transform(zip(range(28), range(28))): print int(x), int(fig.get_figheight() * fig.get_dpi() - y) plt.savefig('foo.png', dpi=fig.get_dpi()) Here is the resulting foo.png, shown as a screenshot in order to include the rulers: The output of the script starts and ends as follows: 73 55 92 69 111 83 130 97 149 112 … 509 382 528 396 547 410 566 424 585 439 As you see, the y-coordinates are correct, but the x-coordinates are stretched: they range from 73 to 585 instead of the expected 135 to 506, and they are spaced 19 pixels o.c. instead of the expected 14. What am I doing wrong?

  • Google Maps API V3: How to jump to a specific marker from outside the map?

    - by Tom
    I have a map with two markers on it. The initial view of the map only shows one marker, and I want to provide a link next to the map that will move the map to the 2nd marker when clicked. Here's a demo of what I want, using v2 of the API: http://arts.brighton.ac.uk/contact-university-of-brighton-faculty-of-arts (note the links below the map) Here's what I have so far: <script type="text/javascript"> function initialize() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(50.823817, -0.135634); var myOptions = { zoom: 13, center: latlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP, mapTypeControlOptions: { style: google.maps.MapTypeControlStyle.DROPDOWN_MENU } , scaleControl: false }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map"), myOptions); // 1st marker var marker1 = new google.maps.Marker({ position: new google.maps.LatLng(50.823817, -0.135634), map: map, title: 'my title' }); var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ content: 'my window content' }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker1, 'click', function() { infowindow.open(map, marker1); }); // 2nd marker var marker2 = new google.maps.Marker({ position: new google.maps.LatLng(51.5262405, -0.074549), map: map, title: 'my 2nd title'}); var infowindow2 = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ content: 'content for my 2nd window' }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker2, 'click', function() { infowindow2.open(map, marker2); }); } </script> So what I'd like to add is a link to marker2, to move the map some 50-odd miles up, e.g. <a href="#marker2">Second location</a>. How would I do this?

  • Focus behavior in Applet-Javascript interaction

    - by Dan
    I have a web page with an applet that opens a popup window and also makes Javascript calls. When that Javascript call results in a focus() call on an HTML input, that causes the browser window to push itself in front of the applet window. But only on certain browsers, namely MSIE. On Firefox the applet window remains on top. How can I keep that behavior consistent in MSIE? Note that using the old Microsoft VM for Java also achieves the desired (applet window in front) result. HTML code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function focusMe() { document.getElementById('mytext').focus(); } </script> </head> <body> <applet id="myapplet" mayscript code="Popup.class" ></applet> <form> <input type="text" id="mytext"> <input type="button" onclick="document.getElementById('myapplet').showPopup()" value="click"> </form> </body> </html> Java code: public class Popup extends Applet { Frame frame; public void start() { frame = new Frame("Test Frame"); frame.setLayout(new BorderLayout()); Button button = new Button("Push Me"); frame.add("Center", button); button.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){ public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) { frame.setVisible(false); } }); frame.pack(); } public void showPopup() { frame.setVisible(true); JSObject.getWindow(this).eval("focusMe()"); } }

  • External data in TileList Flex

    - by Adam
    I'm working for the first time with a TileList and an itemRenderer and I'm having a bit of trouble getting the information from my array collection to display and looking for some advice. Here's what I've got private function loadData():void{ var stmt:SQLStatement = new SQLStatement(); stmt.sqlConnection = sqlConn; stmt.text = "SELECT * FROM tbl_user ORDER BY user_id ASC"; stmt.execute(); var result:SQLResult = stmt.getResult(); acData = new ArrayCollection(result.data); } <mx:TileList id="userlist" labelField="user_id" dataProvider="{acData}" width="600" height="200" paddingTop="25" left="117.15" y="327.25"> <!--itemClick="showMessage(event)"--> <mx:itemRenderer> <mx:Component> <mx:VBox width="125" height="125" paddingRight="5" paddingLeft="5" horizontalAlign="center"> <mx:Label id="username" text="{}"/> <mx:Label id="userjob" text="{}"/> </mx:VBox> </mx:Component> </mx:itemRenderer> </mx:TileList> So I'm just not sure how I go about pulling the information from the array and putting it into labels like username, userjob, userbio ect, Inside the TitleList and itemRenderer.

  • sql statement supposed to have 2 distinct rows, but only 1 is returned. for C# windows

    - by jello
    yeah so I have an sql statement that is supposed to return 2 rows. the first with psychological_id = 1, and the second, psychological_id = 2. here is the sql statement select * from psychological where patient_id = 12 and symptom = 'delire'; But with this code, with which I populate an array list with what is supposed to be 2 different rows, two rows exist, but with the same values: the second row. OneSymptomClass oneSymp = new OneSymptomClass(); ArrayList oneSympAll = new ArrayList(); string connStrArrayList = "Data Source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\\PatientMonitoringDatabase.mdf; " + "Initial Catalog=PatientMonitoringDatabase; " + "Integrated Security=True"; string queryStrArrayList = "select * from psychological where patient_id = " + patientID.patient_id + " and symptom = '" + SymptomComboBoxes[tag].SelectedItem + "';"; using (var conn = new SqlConnection(connStrArrayList)) using (var cmd = new SqlCommand(queryStrArrayList, conn)) { conn.Open(); using (SqlDataReader rdr = cmd.ExecuteReader()) { while (rdr.Read()) { oneSymp.psychological_id = Convert.ToInt32(rdr["psychological_id"]); oneSymp.patient_history_date_psy = (DateTime)rdr["patient_history_date_psy"]; oneSymp.strength = Convert.ToInt32(rdr["strength"]); oneSymp.psy_start_date = (DateTime)rdr["psy_start_date"]; oneSymp.psy_end_date = (DateTime)rdr["psy_end_date"]; oneSympAll.Add(oneSymp); } } conn.Close(); } OneSymptomClass testSymp = oneSympAll[0] as OneSymptomClass; MessageBox.Show(testSymp.psychological_id.ToString()); the message box outputs "2", while it's supposed to output "1". anyone got an idea what's going on?

  • Why is it not good to use $_SESSION in Restful Implementations?

    - by keisimone
    Original Question: i read that for RESTful websites. it is not good to use $_SESSION. Why is it not good? how then do i properly authenticate users without looking up database all the time to check for the user's roles? I read that it is not good to use $_SESSION. http://www.recessframework.org/page/towards-restful-php-5-basic-tips I am creating a WEBSITE, not web service in PHP. and i am trying to make it more RESTful. at least in spirit. right now i am rewriting all the action to use Form tags POST and add in a hidden value called _method which would be "delete" for deleting action and "put" for updating action. however, i am not sure why it is recommended NOT to use $_SESSION. i would like to know why and what can i do to improve. To allow easy authorization checking, what i did was to after logging in the user, the username is stored in the $_SESSION. Everytime the user navigates to a page, the page would check if the username is stored inside $_SESSION and then based on the $_SESSION retrieves all the info including privileges from the database and then evaluates the authorization to access the page based on the info retrieved. Is the way I am implementing bad? not RESTful? how do i improve performance and security? Thank you.

  • svnserve not strictly required?

    - by Kev
    I was reading the Red Bean book and noticed this paragraph: Do not be seduced by the simple idea of having all of your users access a repository directly via file:// URLs. Even if the repository is readily available to everyone via a network share, this is a bad idea. It removes any layers of protection between the users and the repository: users can accidentally (or intentionally) corrupt the repository database, it becomes hard to take the repository offline for inspection or upgrade, and it can lead to a mess of file permission problems (see the section called “Supporting Multiple Repository Access Methods”). Note that this is also one of the reasons we warn against accessing repositories via svn+ssh:// URLs—from a security standpoint, it's effectively the same as local users accessing via file://, and it can entail all the same problems if the administrator isn't careful. I realized that, since I'm the only one accessing the repository, ever, none of these caveats seem to apply. Can I safely down svnserve then and only ever have to worry about upgrading my TortoiseSVN client, not both the client and the server whenever there's a new version out? (I've tried it already--just needed to use the Relocate feature to switch from svn:// to file://--but I wanted to make sure something wouldn't be sneaking up on me if I left it this way.)

  • Why delete-orphan needs "cascade all" to run in JPA/Hibernate ?

    - by Jerome C.
    Hello, I try to map a one-to-many relation with cascade "remove" (jpa) and "delete-orphan", because I don't want children to be saved or persist when the parent is saved or persist (security reasons due to client to server (GWT, Gilead)) But this configuration doesn't work. When I try with cascade "all", it runs. Why the delete-orphan option needs a cascade "all" to run ? here is the code (without id or other fields for simplicity, the class Thread defines a simple many-to-one property without cascade): when using the removeThread function in a transactional function, it does not run but if I edit cascade.Remove into cascade.All, it runs. @Entity public class Forum { private List<ForumThread> threads; /** * @return the topics */ @OneToMany(mappedBy = "parent", cascade = CascadeType.REMOVE, fetch = FetchType.LAZY) @Cascade(org.hibernate.annotations.CascadeType.DELETE_ORPHAN) public List<ForumThread> getThreads() { return threads; } /** * @param topics the topics to set */ public void setThreads(List<ForumThread> threads) { this.threads = threads; } public void addThread(ForumThread thread) { getThreads().add(thread); thread.setParent(this); } public void removeThread(ForumThread thread) { getThreads().remove(thread); } } thanks.

  • How can I modify my code to line through the bezier control points?

    - by WillyCornbread
    HI all - I am using anchor points and control points to create a shape using curveTo. It's all working fine, but I cannot figure out how to get my lines to go through the center of the control points (blue dots) when the line is not straight. Here is my code for drawing the shape: // clear old line and draw new / begin fill var g:Graphics = graphics; g.clear(); g.lineStyle(2, 0, 1); g.beginFill(0x0099FF,.1); //move to starting anchor point var startX:Number = anchorPoints[0].x; var startY:Number = anchorPoints[0].y; g.moveTo(startX, startY); // Connect the dots var numAnchors:Number = anchorPoints.length; for (var i:Number=1; i<numAnchors; i++) { // curve to next anchor through control g.curveTo(controlPoints[i].x,controlPoints[i].y, anchorPoints[i].x, anchorPoints[i].y); } // Close the loop g.curveTo(controlPoints[0].x,controlPoints[0].y,startX,startY); And the shape I'm drawing for reference: How can I modify my code so that the lines go directly through the blue control points? Thanks in advance! b

  • Scale image to fit text boxes around borders

    - by nispio
    I have the following plot in Matlab: The image size may vary, and so may the length of the text boxes at the top and left. I dynamically determine the strings that go in these text boxes and then create them with: [M,N] = size(img); imagesc((1:N)-0.5,(1:M)-0.5, img > 0.5); axis image; grid on; colormap([1 1 1; 0.5 0.5 0.5]); set(gca,'XColor','k','YColor','k','TickDir','out') set(gca,'XTick',1:N,'XTickLabel',cell(1,N)) set(gca,'YTick',1:N,'YTickLabel',cell(1,N)) for iter = 1:M text(-0.5, iter-0.5, sprintf(strL, br{iter,:}), ... 'FontSize',16, ... 'HorizontalAlignment','right', ... 'VerticalAlignment','middle', ... 'Interpreter','latex' ); end for iter = 1:N text(iter-0.5, -0.5, {bc{:,iter}}, ... 'FontSize',16, ... 'HorizontalAlignment','center', ... 'VerticalAlignment','bottom', ... 'Interpreter','latex' ); end where br and bc are cell arrays containing the appropriate numbers for the labels. The problem is that most of the time, the text gets clipped by the edges of the figure. I am using this as a workaround: set(gca,'Position',[0.25 0.25 0.5 0.5]); As you can see, I am simply adding a larger border around the plot so that there is more room for the text. While this scaling works for one zoom level, if I maximize my plot window I get way too much empty space, and if I shrink my plot window, I get clipping again. Is there a more intelligent way to add these labels to use the minimum amount of space while making sure that the text does not get clipped?

  • are there java based auto-updating tools other than WebStart & Eclipse P2?

    - by DaddyB
    Hi, I am working on a java based application and we are looking to ease our deployment of updates. Up until now, we've always simply sent out new install packs & had the sysadmin's on our customer sites roll out the upgrades - painful for a large number of users. what I'd like to do is something similar to java webstart (or eclipse p2) - when the application starts, it checks for updates in a specified location and then downloads the updates prior to starting. But here's my problem - I want more control over what's done outside of the scope of plugins & jar files. For example: I'd like to be able to upate my JVM (we ship a modified version with additional security features). I need to install DLL's - possibly local to the jar files, sometimes to windows Occasiontally run MSI's to install windows components (e.g. printer drivers). I need to modify config files & the registry. I have found a few applications that support this (such as AppLifeUpdate at http://www.kineticjump.com/) but they tend to be .NET focused and it seems a bit perverse to introduce a .NET dependancy on a java application ;) I know I could write my own here, but if there is already a 3rd party library out there that supports this kind of facility, then it would make my life a lot easier. So, has anyone else had a similar problem & knows of some products I could look at? Thanks, Brian.

  • How to Get Specific Button pressed in a repeater when using ModalPopupExtender

  • Google Maps API v3 - Different markers/labels on different zoom levels

    - by krikara
    I was wondering if it is possible that Google has a feature to view different markers on different zoom levels. For example, on zoom level 1, I want one marker over China with the label saying "5". And as the user zooms in, lets say on zoom level 4, I want the previous marker and label to disappear. And I want to have 5 new markers/labels, each on a different city in China all saying "1". Thus China will say a number and all the cities in China will say numbers adding up to China's number. The key concept I am trying to figure out here is how to hide markers and labels based on zoom levels. A constraint for me is that I am living in China currently where google is censored, so a lot of online documents are censored for me, including many of google's documentations. And when I copy the source code directly to my computer and replace all the icons with markers, the markers still don't appear. I can't seem to figure how to make markers appear using the marker Manager. http://google-maps-utility-library-v3.googlecode.com/svn/tags/markermanager/1.0/examples/weather_map.html

  • innerHTML in IE?

    - by froufrou
    I'm having trouble using innerHTML with my radio type button. <table align="center"> <div class='main'> <span id="js" class='info'> <label><input type="radio" name="js" value="0" size="<?php echo $row['size']; ?>" onclick="js(this.value, this.size);" /><img src="arrowup.png"/></label> <br /> <label><input type="radio" name="js" value="1" size="<?php echo $row['size']; ?>" onclick="js(this.value, this.size);" /><img src="arrowdown.png"/></label> </span> </div> </table> My .js looks like this: var xmlhttp; function getVote(a,b) { xmlhttp=GetXmlHttpObject(); if (xmlhttp==null) { alert ("Browser does not support HTTP Request"); return; } var url="js.php"; url=url+"?js="+a; url=url+"&id="+b; url=url+"&sid="+Math.random(); xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=stateChanged; xmlhttp.open("GET",url,true); xmlhttp.send(null); } function stateChanged() { if (xmlhttp.readyState==4) { document.getElementById("js").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText; } } function GetXmlHttpObject() { var objXMLHttp=null; if (window.XMLHttpRequest) { objXMLHttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } else if (window.ActiveXObject) { objXMLHttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP"); } return objXMLHttp; } This doesn't work in IE only! Any help?

  • Global.asax parser errors when deploying MVC 1 application to remote server.

    - by mannish
    So we're having some issues deploying an ASP.NET MVC app to a client site. Basically when we try to test the app from localhost, we get the dreaded Global.asax parser error indicating it could not load the application global. Research indicates there are basically 4 possible reasons for this exception we're seeing: The solution hasn't been built. This clearly isn't the case since we can deploy it here and it runs fine on any machine we deploy to AND we had to build and publish the darn thing to deploy it anyway. The Global.asax namespace inheritance does not match the application global code file. Again we double checked this and since it runs just fine here that can't be the issue. Miscellaneous non-descript IIS/VS.NET mischief. Basically something get's wonky in IIS or VS.NET and the web server won't behave correctly for this application. We've done cleans and rebuilds, we've deleted virtual dir and recreated, and performed all of the IIS munging that we've found elsewhere online. Various combinations of IIS bounces, server reboots, virtual dir/application recreation, etc. Code level permissions issue. We've verified full trust in machine/web config in the framework directory, we've set .NET trust to full in IIS, we've granted Everyone full control on the directories just to hit it with the security hammer, etc. etc. The pertinent detials: Windows Server 2008 x64 IIS 7, 32 bit compatible app pool (app was written on 32 bit OS compiled for any cpu) App pool identity set to NetworkService Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 1.0 XCopy deployment We deployed another read-only app just fine. The significant difference in this app is the use of NHibernate and Log4Net which require full trust. Additionally, the actual project name of the web project differs from the default namespace however the Inherits namespace in Global.asax and the Global.asax.cs files match so this shouldn't be an issue. Anybody have any bright ideas? We're officially down to just the dim ones.

  • Background image help (Solved)

    - by J2
    thanks for help, ended up with this html{ position:relative; min-width:950px; height:100%; background:black url(images/GrassBG.png) repeat-y top center; font:13px "Lucida Grande",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; } body.main{ width:950px; margin:0 auto; position:relative; } is there any way when using a div for a background image- to limit the height to only the content displayed? im putting the background image in a div because i want it centered via position:relative but the image doesnt show up unless i put a height on the div, and thats not what i want because i dont want to be able to just scroll down to the bottom of the image where theres no content ive tried putting the background image on the body css but if the browser is less than the width of the image, it just throws it over to the left and you can only see half of it- is there no way to make the background position:relative on the body? sorry if that doesnt make sense < thanks why can you not use Position:relative; on the body?

  • qTip jQuery Plugin not always Firing

    - by tonsils
    Hi, I am using the qTip jquery plugin qTip plugin for a website I'm working on based on another thread I raised here: stack overflow thread My question is, I have a navigation bar running along the top of my screen which is basically sets the title attribute based on the tab menu you are in, these are all stored within a javascript array. For example, I have three menu options running along the top of the screen, say Menu A, Menu B and Menu C. I also have an information image positioned at the rightmost position of the nav bar, which I set the title attribute, based on the Menu option selected in the Nav Bar. For example: Menu A => myRole[0] = "Admin" Menu B => myRole[1] = "Manager" Menu C => myRole[2] = "Guest" So basically as the user clicks on each of the menus in the nav bar, I set the title attribute in the information image to either "Admin","Manager" or "Guest". At startup, the qTip plugin works and displays "Admin" when I hover over it but when I change the menu to Menu C, it still displays "Admin" instead of "Guest" From the looks of it, it doesn't seem to be calling the qTip plugin, which I have positioned at the footer of the screen (see actual code below). Any ideas how to ensure that the qTip fires every time I click/change menu options and pickups value within javascript array? <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.qtip-1.0.0-rc3.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('div#infoi img[title]').qtip({ position: { adjust: { x:-110, y:0 }, corner: { target: 'bottomLeft', tooltip: 'topMiddle' } }, style: { width: 250, padding: 5, background: '#E7F1FA', color: 'black', textAlign: 'center', border: { width: 3, color: '#65a9d7' }, tip: 'topRight' } }); }); </script> Thanks.

  • Porting WebGL game to iPhone's native OpenGL?

    - by ArtPulse
    We are developing a web game that uses WebGL for the two biggest parts of it. Working with HTML / CSS was too slow and too limited, so it's off the table. Thing is, iOS does not support WebGL publicly just yet, only on iAd. It is my guess Apple will eventually support it once the security issues they and Microsoft claim it has are fixed, and looks stable enough. Problem is, if Apple does not do this by the release of the next mayor iOS version, then we will have in our hands a mobile WebGL game that does not run. 6 months of development and testing to waste. So, questions: If that was the case, how viable (regarding amount of time) is it porting the WebGL part of the game to native iPhone OpenGL? I'm afraid that porting will take longer than the development of the game itself. I saw posts on Stack Overflow (like this) that suggested, on Android, adding the OpenGL interface manually to a WebKit element. It'd be slower than native. But either way... Is this something that could be accepted in the AppStore? Apple is very restrictive with these kind of stuff... Thank you all for your time!
