  • Friendly_id for fixtures (slugs)

    I am using freindly_id in my application. I have setup a few fixtures in my application. I want to do integration testing on them. During the tests I need the friendly_id, but the DB records created from fixtures do not have the corresponding slugs in the Slug table. Aren't the slugs automatically created from Fixture data? If not then what can be a solution?

    hi to all , In a Portable-Executable ,we can change the imported dll name ,by editing PE file , here , i had changed in one imported dll name of application exe,that time it changed normally ....e.g advapi32.dll to ^dvapi32.dll ,so here system32 or any other PATH location doesnt have ^dvapi32.dll ..this time simply i changed the real advapi32.dll into ^dvapi32.dll and put in the application directory ,this time its work fine ....but when i am trying with ntdll & gdi32.dll ,it doesnt supported ,i cant resolve the problem ,pls help me towards the problem ..thanks.

    Hi guys, I am trying to send an image from a Java desktop application to a J2ME application. The problem is that I am getting this exception: java.net.SocketException: Software caused connection abort: socket write error I have looked around on the net, and although this problem is not that rare, I was unable to find a concrete solution. I am transforming the image into a byte array before transferring it. On Windows XP, if an application entry is WinMain, does Windows convert the command line from Unicode to Ansi and pass to the application? If the command line parameter must be in Unicode (for example, Unicode file name, conversion will cause some characters missing), does that mean that I must use wWinMain as the entry function?

    I have a .net 4 application that uses a Com Dll to send SMS messages. I used TlbImp to create the interop assembly and that is what is referenced in the application. When I try to create an instance of this class, it takes a really long time (2-5 seconds). I ran performance profile in VS 2010 and the call that takes the longest by far is System.Activator.CreateInstance(). I am looking for tips on how to debug or gotchas with using Com Interop.
