  In a plug-in I am using NPN_Evaluate() to execute some Javascript. How can I detect wether the Javascript raises an exception? Basically I want to execute any piece of Javascript and get the result from it or detect if it raised an exception. I tried wrapping my Javascript code like this: try { // Injected Javascript code here } catch (exc) { exc; } That way the result from NPN_Evaluate() will be an NPObject* containing a property "message" with the exception message if something goes wrong. But how can I know that it is an exception? It might as well be a result from the injected Javascript code. Am I approaching this the wrong way? Can I detect an exception without catching it in Javascript and returning the exception as the result?

• With the attachment_fu rails plugin, is there any way to delete files uploaded to Amazon S3?

  Let's say I'm using attachment_fu to attach profile pics to user profiles in a system, with Amazon S3 used as the actual file storage. When users upload new profile pics, I'd like to replace the attached file with the new one. I can do this within my database (i.e. the file metadata) easily, but attachment_fu doesn't seem to provide methods for deleting the files from S3. Am I missing something, or am I approaching this the wrong way? Many thanks!

  Hi! I've developed a plug-in for Firefox, that can read and manipulate the content of the currently opened document. I would like to apply a XLST to the document in case it is XML. I have no problem to read the XML document and apply a XSLT to it in memory, however, I have no idea of how to replace the existing document with the newly created one. Thus, I see two possible scenarios: a) I replace the document with the result of the transformation b) I apply the XSLT directly to the XML All my attempts to realize one of both possible solutions have failed...   So, I've been searching for the answer to this, but I can't find anything I have an Entity Framework Model (MyModel1) - for now, we'll say this contains a "Users" table It's part of a big app, that has a references to an "Addresses" project The addresses project contains an Entity Framework Model (MyModel2), this contains a Users table, and an Addresses table (pointing to the same database. The main app has a control that edits the user, and in that control it has an "addresses" control which actually exists in the "Addresses" project. To make this work, the User control passes the User object down to the addresses control, however, as the User that's been passed belongs to MyModel1 and not MyModel2, another User object has to be loaded up, then it can be used. This isn't ideal as I've had to load up the User twice. Is there a way of say, MyModel2 extending MyModel1, which effectively just adds a relationship to "User". Or is there an ORM that would handle this better? Or even a design pattern that would handle this better?

• Trouble deciding how to add popup menu to eclipse plugin using either action ObjectContributions or command handlers

  The issue is this: Most things I read on the web says that we should avoid actions when creating popup menus because the command framework allows for more decoupling. Example: http://wiki.eclipse.org/FAQ_What_is_the_difference_between_a_command_and_an_action%3F Fair enough. But I am having a heck of a time getting the command framework to add my menu when I right click on a .java file inside the editor, and only when I click inside the editor. I can get the menu to show (using 'with' and the activeEditor variable), but it also shows when I right click on the java file inside the package explorer, which I don't want. I suspect it's because the file is already open inside the editor. I also have a menu that gets added when I right click on the java file inside the package explorer, using IComplilationUnit. That works fine. So my problem is solved using a popup menu action for when I click inside the file. I also get access to to all the ISelection stuff there. But the coupling is to high and I lose the flexability of using handlers. I'm looking for either: Tell me I'm doing it the only way possible; or Tell me how to have my popup appear only when I right click on the java file editor. Regards

The document was parsed as HTML5. I think its funny. Okay, granted a tag that is closed and a self closing tag are not the same. So i would understand if jquery couldnt load. Altough i find it rediciulous. But what i do not understand is that jquery loads but the following, correctly written tag, doesnt?

I launched the server with "bin/linux-x86-32" (the JVM is 32-bit). • Couldn't attachto Firefox 3.x browser by using Browser.AttachTo<FireFox>method in WatiN 2.0 RC1

  I am using HTTPWatch automation API to launch a new Firefox instance like that: HttpWatch.Controller ct = new HttpWatch.Controller(); HttpWatch.Plugin plugin = ct.FireFox.New(""); plugin.GotoURL("http://www.google.com"); These codes could start a Firefox browser successfully. Then I want to control the browser in WatiN 2.0: FireFox ff = Browser.AttachTo<FireFox>(Find.ByTitle("Google")); WatiN could not find Firefox window (JSSH plugin has been added in Firefox). But the same test on IE 7 is ok. I even tried to open a Firefox window manually and visit google.com page. WaitN in IE7 could attach to the browser, but Firefox failed. Is there anything wrong with my codes? Or any other advice? Thanks in advance! • How to run a .exe with dll in different location

  I am working in C# and implementing Plugin Management feature to our application. I look through dll and exe to load up plugins that are in a specific folder say Plugins. These plugin applications have their own folder when they are installed and I will copy over the plugin application exe/dll to the Plugins folder. However, there are some plugin applications that requires other dlls to run, but I want to minimize the duplication. Is there a way that I can just copy over the .exe to the Plugins folder and have the other dependent dll files locate in other folder? How would I load the the plugin in c# if the .exe and .dll is not in the same location? Thanks.
