  • jQuery Validation Engine with Mime

    - by Diego Pucci
I have this custom rule with tje jQuery validation Engine: "validateMIME": { "func": function(field, rules, i, options){ var fileInput = field[0].files[0]; var MimeFilter = new RegExp(rules[3],'i'); if (fileInput) { return MimeFilter.test(fileInput.type); } else { return true;} }, "alertText": "* Estensione non supportata" }, The problem is that this is working ONLY if the field is required. But in my case the field is not required, but if filled then the Mime type needs to be checked. How do I edit this function to work with non required fields? what's wrong with it? Thanks

  • How do you draw a line from one corner of the stage to the other?

    - by George Edison
I am completely perplexed. I asked this question and it (any mentioned solution) doesn't seem to be working at all. All I want is to draw a line from one corner to the other. Here again is the link to the SWF file I have (it's embedded in an HTML document): test.html Here is the source: package { import flash.display.Sprite; import flash.events.Event; public class Main extends Sprite { public function Main():void { if (stage) init(); else addEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, init); } private function init(e:Event = null):void { removeEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, init); // entry point graphics.clear(); graphics.lineStyle(10, 0x000000); graphics.moveTo(0, 0); graphics.lineTo(stage.stageWidth, stage.stageHeight); } } } It just doesn't work! The line goes from somewhere offscreen to about the middle of the stage. What on earth am I doing wrong?

  • Issue with JSON and jQuery

    - by Jason N. Gaylord
I'm calling a web service and returning the following data in JSON format: ["OrderNumber":"12345","CustomerId":"555"] In my web service success method, I'm trying to parse both: $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "MyService.asmx/ServiceName", data: "{}", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json", success: function(msg) { var data = msg.d; var rtn = ""; $.each(data, function(list) { rtn = rtn + this.OrderNumber + ", " + this.CustomerId + "<br/>"; } rtn = rtn + "<br/>" + data; $("#test").html(rtn); } }); but I'm getting a bunch of "undefined, undefined" rows followed by the correct JSON string. Any idea why? I've tried using the eval() method but that didn't help as I got some error message talking about ']' being expected.

    - by rakhavan
Thanks to everyone in advance. I'm using Jaxer.sandbox and making requests just fine. I'd like these requests to go through my http proxy (like squid for example). Here is the code I that is currently working for me. window.onload = function() { //the url to scrape var url = "http://www.cnn.com/"; //our sandboxed browser var sandbox = new Jaxer.Sandbox(); //open optons var openOptions = new Jaxer.Sandbox.OpenOptions(); openOptions.allowJavaScript = false; openOptions.allowMetaRedirects = false; openOptions.allowSubFrames = false; openOptions.allowSubFrames = false; openOptions.onload = function() { //do something onload }; //make the call sandbox.open(url, null, openOptions); //write the response Jaxer.response.setContents(sandbox.toHTML()); }; How can I send this request through a proxy server? Thanks, Reza.

  • Are there any differences between MSSQL and MySQL when it comes to preventing SQL injection?

    - by Derek Adair
I am used to developing in PHP/MySQL and have no experience developing with MSSQL. I've skimmed over the PHP MSSQL documentation and it looks similar to MySQLi in some of the methods I read about. For example, with MySQL I utilize the function mysql_real_excape_string(). Is there a similar function with PHP/MSSQL? What steps do I need to take in order to protect against SQL injection with MSSQL? What are the differences between MSSQL and MySQL pertaining to SQL injection prevention?

  • JSON encode MySQL results then read using jQuery

    - by silentw
I have a database table with some rows that I want to fetch using PHP and then encode them using JSON. Currently, my database structure is the following: idcomponente | quantidade After fetching the values in PHP, I want to know how can I encode them using JSON (with multiple rows, using the same names) so I can read them using jQuery.post(). $.post('test.php',{id:id},function(data){ //READ data HERE }); Thanks in advance Edit: So far, I made this: $.post('edit/producomponentes.php',{id:id},function(data){ console.log(data); }); Logs this: [Object { componente="1", quantidade="2"}, Object { componente="3", quantidade="3"}] Now how can I go through each row and fetch their properties? (data.componente, data.quantidade)

  • When is a C++ terminate handler the Right Thing(TM)?

    - by Joseph Garvin
The C++ standard provides the std::set_terminate function which lets you specify what function std::terminate should actually call. std::terminate should only get called in dire circumstances, and sure enough the situations the standard describes for when it's called are dire (e.g. an uncaught exception). When std::terminate does get called the situation seems analagous to being out of memory -- there's not really much you can sensically do. I've read that it can be used to make sure resources are freed -- but for the majority of resources this should be handled automatically by the OS when the process exits (e.g. file handles). Theoretically I can see a case for if say, you needed to send a server a specific message when exiting due to a crash. But the majority of the time the OS handling should be sufficient. When is using a terminate handler the Right Thing(TM)? Update: People interested in what can be done with custom terminate handlers might find this non-portable trick useful.

  • post to page with jQuery and read response

    - by wcpro
    I'm trying to post to a form using jQuery and read the results of the posted page. I have created a super simple example. $('#submit').click( function () { $.get('post.htm', { demo : "true" }, function (data) { alert('data load: ' + data); },) }); the html page for post.html is just a simple html form <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <title></title> </head> <body> this is a post </body> </html>

  • jQuery Tabs - Following External Links

    - by Ricky
    I have jQuery Tabs setup, but am trying to get a Tab to follow an external link. I have tried to use the code from jQuery, but the URL still loads via Ajax instead of redirecting the browser to the url: http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/#...follow_a_tab.27s_URL_instead_of_loading_its_content_via_ajax Current code: $(function() { $('#rotate > ul').tabs({ select: function(event, ui) { var url = $.data(ui.tab, 'load.tabs'); if( url ) { location.href = url; return false; } return true; } }); });

  • Confusion regarding laziness

    - by Abhinav Kaushik
I have a function myLength = foldl (\ x _ -> x + 1) 0 which fails with stack overflow with input around 10^6 elements (myLength [1..1000000] fails). I believe that is due to the thunk build up since when I replace foldl with foldl', it works. So far so good. But now I have another function to reverse a list : myReverse = foldl (\ acc x -> x : acc) [] which uses the lazy version foldl (instead of foldl') When I do myLength . myReverse $ [1.1000000]. This time it works fine. I fail to understand why foldl works for the later case and not for former?

  • Problems with Linked List in C

    - by seePhor
Hey everyone, I am new to C and I am working on an XOR linked list for a project. I have most of the code done, but I can't seem to get the delete function of the list to work properly. It seems able to delete some numbers, but not any number you pass into the function. Could anyone experienced with C take a look and possibly point out where I went wrong? I have been working on this for a while now and have not had much luck and I have started over 3 times :( Any help is much appreciated. Thank you. You can see my first attempt of code here. I can only post one link, so if you would like to see my second attempt, just tell me so and I can email it to you or something. Thank you for your time.

  • Flash AS3 - Display an error if the XML if incorrect

    - by ongoingworlds
    Hi, I'm creating a flash application which loads in some XML which is generated dynamically from the CMS. I want to display an error in case the XML file isn't formatted correctly. When I test this with incorrectly formatted XML, it will just get to the line myXML = XML(myLoader.data); and then just bomb out. How can I catch the error, display a message to the user, but the flash program to continue as normal. var myXMLURL:URLRequest = new URLRequest(XMLfile); var myLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(myXMLURL); myLoader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, xmlLoaded); myLoader.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, xmlFailed); var myXML:XML; //--when the xml is loaded, do this function xmlLoaded(e:Event):void { myXML = XML(myLoader.data); trace("XML = "+myXML); } //--if the xml fails to load, do this function xmlFailed(event:IOErrorEvent):void { errorMsg.text = "The XML file cannot be found" }

  • Assignment to None

    - by Joel
Hello, I have a function which returns 3 numbers, e.g.: def numbers(): return 1,2,3 usually I call this function to receive all three returned numbers e.g.: a,b,c=numbers() However, I have one case in which I only need the first returned number. I tried using: a, None None = numbers() But I receive "SyntaxError: assignment to None". I know, of course, that i can use the first option I mentioned and then not use "b" and "c", but only "a". However, this seems like a "waste" of two vars and feels like wrong programming. Any ideas? Thanks, Joek

  • IE image map remains clickable behind another div

    - by Ryan Giglio
I have an Image Map of the United States. When you click on a state, the map fades out and a map of that state appears with an image map of the area codes in the state. In Firefox, Safari, and Chrome, the state map becomes clickable and the United States map becomes unclickable until you close the sate popover. However in Internet Explorer, the United States map remains clickable through the state popover, and I cannot click on any area codes. Here is my javascript: $(document).ready(function() { $("#usMap").html(); $("#usMap").load("/includes/us_map.inc"); }); $('area').live('click', function() { var state = $(this).attr("class"); var statePopover = $("<div id='statePopoverContainer'><a id='popoverCloseButton'>Close State</a><div id='statePopover'></div></div>"); $("#usMap").append(statePopover); $("#usMapImage").fadeTo('slow', 0.2); $("#statePopover").load("/includes/stateMaps/" + state + ".html"); }); $("#popoverCloseButton").live('click', function() { $("#statePopoverContainer").remove(); $("#usMapImage").fadeTo('slow', 1); }); I am loading the map on document ready because if you don't have Javascript, something else appears. And here is the CSS for all things related: div#usMap { width:676px; height:419px; text-align: center; position: relative; background-color:#333333; z-index: 1; } img#usMapImage { z-index: 1; } area { cursor: pointer; } div#statePopoverContainer { width:100%; height:100%; z-index:5; position:absolute; top:0; left:0; } a#popoverCloseButton { position:absolute; right:0; padding-right:5px; padding-top:5px; color:#FFFFFF; cursor:pointer; } You can see this happening at http://dev.crewinyourcode.com/ Login with beta/tester

  • How to create a closure and pass in variable length argument list?

    - by Jian Lin
We can create a closure p by capturing the arguments in the scope in the following code: var p = function() { }; if (typeof(console) != 'undefined' && console.log) { p = function() { console.log(arguments); }; } but the arguments are passed like an array to console.log, instead of passed one by one as in console.log(arguments[0], arguments[1], arguments[2], ... Is there a way to expand the arguments and pass to console.log like the way above? Note that p = console.log; works well in Firefox and IE 8 but not on Chrome.

  • Idiomatic usage of filter, map, build-list and local functions in Racket/Scheme?

    - by Greenhorn
I'm working through Exercise 21.2.3 of HtDP on my own and was wondering if this is idiomatic usage of the various functions. This is what I have so far: (define-struct ir (name price)) (define list-of-toys (list (make-ir 'doll 10) (make-ir 'robot 15) (make-ir 'ty 21) (make-ir 'cube 9))) ;; helper function (define (price< p toy) (cond [(< (ir-price toy) p) toy] [else empty])) (define (eliminate-exp ua lot) (cond [(empty? lot) empty] [else (filter ir? (map price< (build-list (length lot) (local ((define (f x) ua)) f)) lot))])) To my novice eyes, that seems pretty ugly because I have to define a local function to get build-list to work, since map requires two lists of equal length. Can this be improved for readability? Thank you.

  • Google Maps within a dynamically loaded jquery Accordion

I'm trying to load a google map within a jquery ui accordion with contents loaded by ajax. $("h2", "#accordion").click(function(e) { var contentDiv = $(this).next("div"); if (contentDiv.children().length == 1) { contentDiv.load($(this).find("a").attr("href")); contentDiv.ready(function(){ var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(-34.397, 150.644); var myOptions = { zoom: 8, center: latlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); }) } }); That's my current code (Google Maps API V3), but it redirects to the url of the href when I click currently, obviously with no google map because there's no javascript in this response. If I comment out the map line everything works fine (except the map itself).

  • How can I make Swig correctly wrap a char* buffer that is modified in C as a Java Something-or-other

    - by Ukko
I am trying to wrap some legacy code for use in Java and I was quite happy to see that Swig was able to handle the header file and it generate a great wrapper that almost works. Now I am looking for the deep magic that will make it really work. In C I have a function that looks like this DLL_IMPORT int DustyVoodoo(char *buff, int len, char *curse); This integer returned by this function is an error code in case it fails. The arguments are buff is a character buffer len is the length of the data in the buffer curse the another character buffer that contains the result of calling DustyVoodoo So, you can see where this is going, the result is actually coming back via the third argument. Also len is confusing since it may be the length of both buffers, they are always allocated as being the same size in calling code but given what DustyVoodoo does I don't think that they need be the same. To be safe both buffers should be the same size in practice, say 512 chars. The C code generated for the binding is as follows: SWIGEXPORT jint JNICALL Java_pemapiJNI_DustyVoodoo(JNIEnv *jenv, jclass jcls, jstring jarg1, jint jarg2, jstring jarg3) { jint jresult = 0 ; char *arg1 = (char *) 0 ; int arg2 ; char *arg3 = (char *) 0 ; int result; (void)jenv; (void)jcls; arg1 = 0; if (jarg1) { arg1 = (char *)(*jenv)->GetStringUTFChars(jenv, jarg1, 0); if (!arg1) return 0; } arg2 = (int)jarg2; arg3 = 0; if (jarg3) { arg3 = (char *)(*jenv)->GetStringUTFChars(jenv, jarg3, 0); if (!arg3) return 0; } result = (int)PemnEncrypt(arg1,arg2,arg3); jresult = (jint)result; if (arg1) (*jenv)->ReleaseStringUTFChars(jenv, jarg1, (const char *)arg1); if (arg3) (*jenv)->ReleaseStringUTFChars(jenv, jarg3, (const char *)arg3); return jresult; } It is correct for what it does; however, it misses the fact that cursed is not just an input, it is altered by the function and should be returned as an output. It also does not know that the java Strings are really buffers and should be backed by a suitably sized array. I think that Swig can do the right thing here, I just can't figure out from the documentation how to tell Swig what it needs to know. Any typemap masers in the house?
