• Using TortoiseHg’s Repository explorer

  I posted this question on superuser.com but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate there.. Anyway: Hi, I'm coming from a TortoiseSVN background and decided to give TortoiseHg a try.. One thing I got really used to with TortoiseSVN was the SVN Repo-Explorer, which worked quite similarly to Windows Explorer.. However, when I tried to use TortoiseHg's Repository Explorer, what I got was something else, it was more like TortoiseSVN's Show Log. It showed me what the recent commits were and what files were changed and even had nifty graphs.. However, I'm still left wanting for TortoiseSVN's Repo-Explorer.. Does TortoiseHg have anything like this? How am I supposed to poke around the Repository if I can only view changed stuff? Thanks, kreb

• IE7 Jquery UI Sortable problem

  Hey guys, I'm using Jquery UI sortable in my current project to make boxes drag and drop-able into new columns. It works in all modern browsers apart from ie7, in which you can drag and drop, but when you drop, it completely ruins the content of the box you're dropping. I've sat and looked at this for ages and have no clue what the problem is. Do any of you have any idea? Here's a demo of what's going on. View it in ie7.

  Hello As you probably all know Code Igniter can assign pseudo variables using the Parser library, but you also know that if we want to assign a Pseudo Variable to use it in a View, we have to do it in every do it in every controller that loads those views with the pseudo variables. I would like to know if Code Igniter 1.7.2 has some way that i can assign a Global Pseudo variable (like the pseudo variables from the Benchmarking Class). The pseudo variables i want, would have simple data mostly returned from the $config array in the config.php file. If some could help me with that. Regards.

• Symfony app - how to add calculated fields to Propel objects?

  What is the best way of working with calculated fields of Propel objects? Say I have an object "Customer" that has a corresponding table "customers" and each column corresponds to an attribute of my object. What I would like to do is: add a calculated attribute "Number of completed orders" to my object when using it on View A but not on Views B and C. The calculated attribute is a COUNT() of "Order" objects linked to my "Customer" object via ID. What I can do now is to first select all Customer objects, then iteratively count Orders for all of them, but I'd think doing it in a single query would improve performance. But I cannot properly "hydrate" my Propel object since it does not contain the definition of the calculated field(s). How would you approach it?

  For a new CMS i've developed a Pages module that allows me to manage the site's tree structure. Each page is reachable from the url http://www.example.com/pageslug/ where pageslug identifies the page being called. What I want to achieve now is a route that allows me to route all incoming requests to a single PagesController unless it's a request to an existing controller (like images for example). It's easy enough to catch all requests to the Pages Controller but how to exclude existing controllers? This is my module bootstrap.   I am well aware of this previous question here and have heard great things about those books. I actually bought two of them, Effective Java and Java in a Nutshell as an early Christmas present. I am looking for a good Java book, or books, to further continue my understanding of Java from a recent college graduate point of view. I have learned Java in college and would consider it to be the language I am most comfortable with. Can anyone recommend a good "intermediate" Java book for a situation like mine? What are your experiences? Is it a difficult framework to get it to do what you want? Are there things that simply cannot be customized in Magento? • Override delete behaviour in NHibernate

  Hi all In my application users cannot truly delete records. Rather, the record's Deleted field gets set to 1, which hides it from selects. I need to maintain this behaviour and I'm looking into whether NHibernate is appropriate for my app. Can I override NHibnernate's delete behaviour so that instead of issuing DELETE statements, it issues UPDATES, as described above? I would obviously also need to override its SELECT behaviour to include the 'AND Deleted = 0' clause. Or read from a view instead. I dunno. TIA for your advice. David

  I'm trying to run SQuirreL SQL. I've downloaded it and installed it, but when I try to run it I get this error message: Java Virtual Machine Launcher. Could not find the main class. Program will exit. I get the gist of this, but I have not idea how to fix it. Any help? more info: I'm on Windows XP pro. I have java 1.6 installed, and other apps are running OK. The install ran OK. I believe I've followed the installation instructions correctly. To run it, I'm invoking the squirrel-sql.bat file. • Storyboard elements are not sized properly on the device

  In the storyboard, I am placing a table view element into a subclassed UIView. The element is not appearing on the iPad device I am running it on the same as it appears in the storyboard however. This also happens for additional content that I place into the storyboard. Below is a screenshot as it appears in the storyboard, as well as UI width/height information. And here is the description of the UI file running on the iPad. https://gist.github.com/4323186 (embedding it directly into the post is giving me problems) You'll notice that the tableview is explicitly set at 178 width, and is showing up in the description as 276 width. My initial thought was that perhaps a cell was forcing the parent to be larger (I'm very new to iOS UI development), but drilling into that shows the prototype cell it appears that the width is defined by it's parent at 178. The image views and label also are appearing in the incorrect spot, as shown in the second image below.

• Unable to generate tlb file from dll, used tlbexp

  I have a peculiar situation. I am trying to create a type library from a dll. The problem is that the type library gets created but the contents are not there. I get a message typelib filename: could not determine filename when I am trying to view the tlb using oleview. I am using tlbexp to create the tlb file. I have VC++ 2003 Toolkit and VS 2008 C++ Express edition installed and i tried tlbexp from both installs. Neither generated anything inside the tlb. Any help appreciated. Arpan

  I'm using NUnit to test View Models in a WPF 3.5 application and I'm using the BackgroundWorker class to execute asynchronous commands.The unit test are running fine with the NUnit runner or ReSharper runner but fail on TeamCity 5.1 server. How is it implemented : I'm using a ViewModel property named IsBusy and set it to false on BackgroundWorker.RunWorkerCompleted event.   Well, I have implemented a distinct query in hibernate. It returns me result. But, while casting the fields are getting interchanged. So, it generates casting error. What should be the solution? As an example, I do have database, "ProjectAssignment" that has three fields, aid, pid & userName. I want all distinct userName data from this table. I have applied query : select distinct userName, aid, pid from ProjectAssignment Whereas the ProjectAssignment.java file has the fields in sequence aid, pid & userName. Now, here the userName is first field in output. So, Casting is not getting possible. Also, query : select aid, pid, distinct userName from ProjectAssignment is not working. What is the proper query for the same ? Or what else the solution ? • Is it possible to get an NSView to pass rightMouseDown: to the next responder without subclassing?

  I have a view which contains a few subviews: mainView subViewA subViewB SubViewC mainView is an NSView constructed from a nib and is controlled with an NSViewController subclass. The subviews are standard views such as NSTextField and NSImageView and are configured to be non-editable. I want mainView to receive rightMouseDown: even when the event is triggered in one of the subviews. The default implementation of rightMouseDown: in NSResponder passes the event to the next responder, but NSView changes the default behaviour and does not pass it to the next responder. I could subclass all of the subviews but this doesn't seem like a very elegant or maintainable solution. How can I get the subviews to pass rightMouseDown: messages to the next responder without subclassing all of the subviews?

I want to check whether this small image is subset of master image or not. important points are, smaller image might have different file format, smaller image might captured from comparatively different view. smaller image may have different light intensity. • Is there a way to initialize ImageKit's IKSaveOptions to default to TIFF with LZW compression?

  I'm using Mac OS X 10.6 SDK ImageKit's IKSaveOptions to add the file format accessory to an NSSavePanel using: - (id)initWithImageProperties:(NSDictionary *)imageProperties imageUTType:(NSString *)imageUTType; and - (void)addSaveOptionsAccessoryViewToSavePanel:(NSSavePanel *)savePanel; I have tried creating an NSDictionary to specify Compression = 5, but I cannot seem to get the IKSaveOptions to show Format:TIFF, Compression:LZW when the NSSavePanel first appears. I've also tried saving the returned imageProperties dictionary and the userSelection dictionary, and then tried feeding that back in for the next time, but the NSSavePanel always defaults to Format:TIFF with Compression:None. Does anyone know how to customize the default format/compression that shows up in the accessory view? I would like to default the save options to TIFF/LZW and furthermore would like to restore the user's last file format choice for next time. I am able to control the file format using the imageUTType (e.g. kUTTypeJPEG, kUTTypePNG, kUTTypeTIFF, etc) but I am still unable to set the initial compression option for TIFF or JPEG formats.   My class extends View and I need to get continuous touch events on it. What if I need to get continuous touches without moving the finger? Please, tell me I don't need to use threads or timers. My app is already too much heavy. Thanks.
